I watched this video countless times with you Christopher.. and now you’re gone too. I’m so thankful for you showing me your favorites, it’s all I have left of you my love. Until we meet again, rest easy baby. Love you forever 🌹🖤
Such a powerful performance! Being a person who has also experienced great loss this song always hits home for me. I actually shed a few tears watching this and I'm not ashamed to admit it. You can hear Sam is really struggling singing this song not due to any vocal issues but to him just holding back so much emotion yet he still gives it his absolute all. This may be one of the best performances I've ever watched.
I ran into the Architects a couple of years ago. Really like most of their songs! Lots of raw power! Hearing the words about Sam and sincere appreciation for their fans and a great bandmate, I'll tell ya, they really impressed me ! Great bunch of guys!
The speech in the beginning really sets the tone and opened my heart to really enjoy this song on a new level. So much more moving. Shit makes me cry, man. They really poured their soul into this. Can see their pain from the loss.
We are big fans of Architects too, and they are one one those bands witch made us who we are! And we are proud that their last show in Kyiv we played with them as support! That was a bright evening) Like!
I must say, even before seeing this beautiful display of realism and depth of emotion through their performance, this song hit me right in the chest. I've lost my own sister to cancer and all I can say is, that scar will never heal fully, as scars never do. But for the unfairness of it's unrightful occurrence to be so apparent in this band's performance; all I can say now, is I've found no other metal band that has let such a tragedy fuel the aura of a live performance like this. I love this band, I love that they are so connected. I love how real they made this song in particular send the emotion through me. All the love Architects!!!!!
I'm from Brighton and never really listened to these guys.this song is incredible so heavy but the emotions and feelings that are flowing through this song from the 1st note to the last.just simply brilliant band and seem like a top bunch of blokes.
I had the pleasure of hearing these guys rehearse. My band were in the next room sucking ass in comparison. I can’t say I know the band but you could hear and feel the power in their songs even in practice. It saddened me to hear of Tom’s passing and this video hits like a sledgehammer.
This! This is why I fell in love with metalcore/post-hardcore around 10 years ago... the raw emotions mixed with extreme vocals that underline these feelings and heavy guitar riffs with drums and bass to make it even better. Not many people know about it but in the beginning of this year I almost contemplated suicide and if it wasn’t for I Prevail’s “Breaking Down” that popped in my playlist queue I think I would have done what I planned to. Thankfully i didn’t cause shortly after that things started to get better. So I know what people mean when they say that music saved their lives
Fuck me this hurt to watch 🤦♂️ only recently started listening to architects and instantly connected with there music on another level. Love this band and i wished i could have followed them sooner
For anyone who comes here frequently like I do, the speech can get a little boring. So, 3:54 for the actual song. FYI the speech is VERY touching and I recommend if this is your first time, you listen to it and remember these songs were written by a man dying of cancer. Sad insight to the boldness of these lyrics.
@@Tigerjunky93 one of my absolute favourite guitarists and song writers. I remember hearing the news at work. Absolutely devastated is an understatement
This video really shows that this kind of music is the best for describing deep, hunting feelings like loss and emptiness/longing. I think I fell in love with post-hardcore and metalcore songs because the screamo vocals seems to hit a nerve right around the heart and in the chest (like when you're scared) at the same time, while being accompanied by heavy and rythmical guitars that floats through the air and gets the songs moving. Just love this kind of music.
Jay Muns In this clip it doesn't show as well, but on other videos of that show you can really see and hear that Dan gets all powered up after Sam's speech.
They're all giving it all but yeah you can see Dan is in another world when he played this song. Looked like half pissed off and half deeply sad like if he needed to get something out of his chest
Its the same with screaming for me, the physical release is better than any drug or self harm, after everything hes been through if his sticks arent broken id be suprised
As a drummer, seeing Dan play this song you can just see the emotion pouring out as he plays. So many times when I have played live there are those songs that you just cant help play twice as loud because the emotions and drive take control
Damnnnn sam tried really hard on this song, probably knowing it was the last show of the year for them, you can tell especially in his quieter vocals, that’s they matched almost perfect to the album

People don’t understand why some of us like metal especially metal with screaming it’s cause you can feel the energy and emotion that the band is playing with that just makes you get into the music and songs even more
As soon as the music started you can see and FEEL the emotion. Every single band member is giving 150%. Truly an amazing performance and Tom would be proud.
