Why would I squeeze into a Hornet for 50k when i can get a SXT charger for 39k and be riding comfortable.
I bought a hornet r/t and i didn’t get it to haul a bunch of people. I got it for the look and this thing is fast n don’t kill you with gas.
It competes directly with the Jeep Compass but is way more expensive. My GF got a fully loaded Compass for $31k out the door.

That's pretty high for a mid size SUV...I work at Chevy dealership and a Chevy Trax which is similar to a Dodge Hornet is nowhere $50,000 ....only bad thing about the Chevy Trax....you can't get it in a AWD
I’ve looked hard for 6 months now and I e never seen a Hornet in the wild in LA.
The biggest problems with the Hornet to me are, it’s way too expensive and the consumer base did not ask for this. If these was just some entry base car that’s relatively expensive then I don’t think they would be so bad.
It’s a CUV, its smaller than the average SUV. The Hornet cost way to much for what it is, that’s it. It Dodge needs to drop the prices drastically, it’s just common sense at this point. 😭😭
The charger is 201 inches long. The hornet it 178 inches long. Damn near two feet smaller than a sedan 😂😂😂

The RT PHEV has some great engineering underneath and many people can do their entire daily commute on electricity only. BUT if that's your goal - might as well just buy a Model Y Long Range for the same money and avoid the Dodge stealership add-ons and markups and future maintenance headaches of a Fiat-derived 1.3L turbo engine/generator.

There are only two "problems" with the Hornet. #1: It is a Dodge; no one looking for a small CUV thinks about Dodge, and no person who has a Dodge wants a small CUV. #2: It is too expensive for being sold as a Dodge. Most Dodge buyers are not Merc/BMW/Audi buyers, and underneath the skin, the Hornet is an Alfa Romeo that competes with Merc/BMW/Audi. For God's sake the 2.0T motor is the same one in the base *Maserati Grecale!* . When in human history has *any* part of a Dodge, even the plastic clips, ever been in common with a Maserati???
When Stellantis finally admits their marketing mistake, and these go on fire sale, THAT is why I'll buy one because you'll be getting high end Euro-style hardware for dirt cheap.
Dropping it down to car level and market it as a compact car and rename it Omni and it'll sell with a 15,000 dollar discount
When I was shopping around for a replacement for my 2001 Audi A4 (1.8t) ... I stopped at the Dodge dealership and drove the top-of-the-line Dart at the time. I couldn't get past the cheap feeling of the interior. It's hard to step down from an Audi - even harder stepping down from a BMW or Mercedes (even a used one).

those content creators may be getting paid by dodge to promote the hornet, and if they are theres no hate on my end about it, they got mouths to feed and i can personally never hate on someone tryna get easy(legal) money. Plus in the grand scheme of things promoting a car for money is really not that serious and nobody is really getting hurt by it. If its a big deal to some, then simply click off the video, thats my take. HOWEVER those cars are not worth the money, and imo most people who want a CUV arent even gonna look dodges way, theyre gonna look at toyota or honda first, then maybe Hyundai/kia and nissan second. Those other car makers make better looking cars in that class, (and even tho some of them have questionable histories in this area) are still more reliable than the platform that the hornet is based off of.

For what they are charging for that Track Pack R/T, a person can buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander, even a Grand Highlander, for around the exact same price. Far more reliable, far more space, and a far better resale value. Not to mention the 2024 RAV4, and even the Corolla Cross. It's a lot better options out there to choose from. Now, if they knocked $15k off the price, then those Hornets would be seen as a competitive value proposition.

That is the only problem with the Dodge Hornet! Its starting price is way too high! $23,000 to $25,000 would be the sweet PRICE SPOT! The Hornet is being disparaged too much as it is both a stylish & fast small suv! The Hornet has a much bigger problem to deal with and that is a inflated automotive industry with huge inventories of 2022s, 2023s, 2024s, & 2025s on automotive dealership lots all over the USA!

the RT is a plug-in-electric-vehicle hybrid which qualifies for up to $7500 tax rebate (if you lease it). The GT only has a gas engine ... What's going to happen is people will lease it for two years, and give it back, and you'll be able to pick up a low mileage one for ~27,000 in two years.

That interior is better than the interior in your 300. The car has more tech than your 300. And I had a Dodge Charger Scat Pack and the room in back is no different with a 6'5" inch rider in the front. I have a Hornet Plus GT fully loaded and the car is pretty awesome. And I came out of a 2019 Dodge Charger Scat. You dudes are laughable

There is no Dodge vehicle in the current line up at any trim level ( even Hellcats that has more tech than a Hornet). The 2.0 Hurricane GT is the fastest SUV in its class and price range. I've owned 6 Dodges and for you to call the interior in a RT Plus with a track pack cheap is a joke. That interior is better than a 300, Charger, or Challenger. I've owned 4 Hemi powered vehicles. It's not that serious and they aren't as fast as they're hyped up to be. When that new ICE Charger drops with that twin turbo Hurricane 6 and all wheel drive. You won't be able to give a current Scat or Hellcat away.
