As an owner of a V6 mustang, i will not buy a muscle car without a V8 ever again. To some a v6 muscle car may be exactly what they want, but to me, there are just more fun sports cars out there with 4 cylinders or v6 motors. I truly believe these muscle cars were just meant to have the v8. For the sound and feel of it alone. The v8 just feels like freedom to me

The Procharger kit is actually $7K (you need to buy the tuner separately) and bumps you to 440hp and 450tq on 7 psi and straight pump gas. The RIPP kit runs those numbers at 10-12 PSI. I've had 2 5.7 R/T 6-speeds and on my 2nd GT. I prefer the GT because it weighs almost 400 pounds less and with the amount I drive (35K+ a year) getting 37 mpg on the highway instead of 25 or so makes a big difference. I have the same fresh air setup that T/A has and a Borla S-Type system on it, which sounds awesome! At sea level it does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. I have a 3.70 LSD that I'll be installing in the next couple of months when I rebuild the suspension which will help that out. The only reason I'm looking at supercharging mine is to make up for the altitude I live at - 5000 feet, which hurts any NA car. Doing that will make it easily quicker than an R/T and also at least equal to an NA Scat at altitude. People hammer the Pentastar all the time, but when you drive a GT with the 4-piston Brembos and HD suspension, you see what a great driver these cars can be.

We once did an SST twin turbo kit on a 5.7 Challenger R/T. The regular 5.7 and the V6 do not have forged pistons. SST said to not put anything over 6 PSI of boost on the 5.7. We had the car on the dyno and it was making right around 450 at the wheels with just under 6 PSI. The dyno operator asked us if we would like to go higher than that, and as soon as the car went over 6 PSI on a pull it backfired and started missing. We found parts of the pistons and rings behind the mufflers. Moral of the story, If you really want to go fast be carful with the lower performance HEMI cars and V6 cars, the pistons are know to be made out of butter. Even the 6.4 has cast pistons...

I bought an SXT V6 Challenger mainly because of the all wheel drive for winter driving around here. I do have a Mustang GT with a V8 and obviously the Mustang is faster, but honestly the V6 Challenger is no slouch when you compare it to other typical cars on the road, and it sure LOOKS a lot better than most of what is on the road. It's still fun to drive, too. The "sport mode" does wake it up a bit. Also... it gets much better gas mileage than the Mustang. Of course, there is the Ecoboost Mustang that would even do better on mileage with similar power, but it's not all wheel drive.

I bought a new V6 Challenger back in February. Fell in love with the car while driving a loaner version of it. Unfortunately, I didn't anticipate that after purchasing a V6, I would dive into the world of cars and develop an undeniable craving for that V8 sound and rumble. I literally have dreams about it. I couldn't care less about speed. The 303 hp in the V6 is enough to give me some thrills, but it's too quiet. Now I just need to find a way to trade up to the 5.7 with as minimal damage as possible to my finances 😅

I had a content idea for you. You know how people are always asking "What should I buy?" and that likely led to this video? You should do a longform, specific financial review of different models. Like quite literally say "Okay if your budget is X, your options are Y and Z" and literally go over everything from downpayment to monthly payment and what you get for that money in each trim. I think a lot of people see THIS specific video and think "Well I can only afford a V6 and not afford to supercharge it, plus I want to keep my warranty" and it *might* not grab their attention as much. I really see a TON of potential in your work and I listen to a lot of your thoughts on why certain videos flop or don't, and I just can't shake this feeling that MASS appeal is right around the corner for you with more hands-on lifestyle content around these cars.

We already own a 2021 Ram 5.7 1500….. insurance only cost me $100.86 a month, yet it has the same 5.7 hemi. No E torque, so I’m gonna lower it and put a Whipple on it. Sure it’s not a challenger, but it’s still a hemi that’s fun to drive. Plus I’m more of a truck guy anyways. I’ll be able to run under the insurance radar too!
