Laura, you understood a hugely important thing... Dogs have a special part in their genetic structure devoted to just LOVING to be in little caravans behind bycicles. Realy nicely done! Han
Such a steady hand, no bots narrating or excessive talking makes this pleasurable to watch and your friend approving of your handy work taking a nap in their new camper haha is super cool ;D
Very nice trailer! I would suggest to add a security wire that clips to the bike and catches the trailer in the event that the trailers rubber silent block coupling would become loose.
It doesn't get any cuter than Smudo in his own trailer. I love how he knows this is his and jumps back in ready for the next adventure. Lucky dog rides again.
Cutting on a slab of insulation. SMART. I always have problems supporting work, cutting into sawhorses, overbalancing things or just hitting the workbench with my jigsaw. This one thing will change my life. THANK YOU.
Top quality craftsmanship as usual. Some neat tricks in there as well. I particularly like the trick of using the washer to get a consistent flange for the windows.
Out of all the makers I've followed or watched on RUclips, I think that you are the one that seems to enjoy the process the most. We can see you enjoying yourself as you build. And we can feel that warmth in your videos. ❤
WOW! Every time I watch one (usually more) of your videos, I am blown away with your ingenuity. And your enthusiasm is a joy to watch. You’re always smiling, which makes me smile too.
your dog is always so willing to try stuff out... I would maybe add something to the upright from the trailer to the bike to block stuff thrown from the tires from smudo's face (unless he will tolerate goggles, dog goggles are awesome) and a small safety chain at the end if all that flexible link is made of is a rubber bushing
This brought me such joy! Once Smudo got used to it, he sure seemed to like it. Okay, now off to my shop, to do less interesting but still enjoyable things!
That is one chill dogo. Might I suggest something? It looks like the roller cover isnt secured down and just relies on the weight to keep it there. That is going to rattle something fierce, maybe use something like magnets to keep it in place and doesn't ruin the clean look.
Seeing Smudo sooo happy bring me to tears. Lost my boy Miller in November and I haven't been the same since. Keep up the amazing videos Laura and I'll see you at Spring Make!
Laura, not sure if you did or not but you should put some little latches on the hinged part that lifts up where Smudo gets in, that way if you go down some rough street or something and the trailer is jumping up and down a little the back door part won’t pop up with the bumps and Smudo will not fall out backwards. I know this is not likely to happen but just a thought to be on the safe side and the door will be secured. 👍🏼
What a fun build! Smudo is such a good sport! If I were to build a trailer for my dog she would insist on air conditioning and a snack dispenser. Yeah, she's spoiled. 😁
Impressive build and equally impressive video production. My only criticism is the lack of eye protection sanding, sawing, routering but great on all else! :)
Excellent project! I liked the tips you showed with using the washer to make an outline, and the double sided tape to get the same spot for the biscuit joiner! Also, it's Smudo approved!
That is so cool. I take my dog Vera riding all over the scenic SF Bay area in a trailer behind our RadRover. I love your trailer, and your ebike and your dog. Way to go
What a really beautiful build. Can I ask what type of nails did you use to join the aluminium sheet to the wood? I was just thinking that if they were normal steel / iron nails, they could suffer from galvanic corrosion if they get wet where they touch the aluminium. The paint should provide protection from the rain, but moisture in the wood might be enough to act as the electrolyte between the metals. Looks like you have a very lucky dog. That's one stylish dog trailer.
Hi Laura, woohoo, a teardrop trailer for doggies! I think you're onto something here. 'Walkies' has taken on a whole new meaning, Stay safe and keep up the good work.
What, no Bluetooth or in flight entertainment system?? Not even privacy shades for the windows! Kidding! ;) The wired roof panel is brilliant! You may have to build two more, to make a three car caravan train - for doggie friends. ;)
So cool! I have seen small kennels that look like campers but never thought of a bike trailer camper. Your dog is so chilled and well socialized. I would have to chain mine in!
Love it. You had some very creative ideas fabricating this. I especially liked the washer trick to offset the acrylic cut line. Its clear you love that dog too. Thumbs up.
I would suggest you to apply a double couple of small magnets at the end of the wooden cover and on the main body in order to block it when it’s closed! However great job, it’s always mesmerizing to watch your editing skills! :)
Laura gracias por tus videos. He visto varios de ellos, compartimos el gusto por las herramientas, bicicletas y cerveza👏👏👏. Saludos de Uruguay..Roberto🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾
I'm impressed with how well Smudo took to the trailer, Murphy would have freaked out!! Great build though, and I want that sheet metal nibbler/shear thing! It looks like it went through that sheet like butter.
The bike probably could be fitted with a rear fender and a mud flap so that small rocks and dirt won't get thrown at Smudo's face? Maybe a piece of plexi on the drawbar?
Wow, we should put that one into serial production as a "LK Edition Dogtrailer" :-)
Yes please :) Thanks again for the freaking amazing bike! I LOVE IT!!!
Urban Drivestyle YES! Please do this you guys. Laura’s little dog trailer idea is AMAZING and I thing other dog owners will like it as well. 🙂👍🏼
I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
@@joshhibbs_nola not only doğ owners... cat owners too
@@gondolin12 yes
Love the video. Straight to the point, no blah blah and I have learned so many hacks!
That trick with the washer to make that outline on the plastic sheet. Mind Blown. Respect.
Do you mean to tell me that my patreon contributions are being used to spoil Smudo??
Well, good!
Out of all the RUclips makers you’re my favorite for caring so much about your dog 🐶
I know 😃 how lovely
I love how Smudo is always up for the adventure. "What the heck has mum built now?"
Laura, you understood a hugely important thing... Dogs have a special part in their genetic structure devoted to just LOVING to be in little caravans behind bycicles.
Realy nicely done!

Amazing build love the doggies adventures
Such a steady hand, no bots narrating or excessive talking makes this pleasurable to watch and your friend approving of your handy work taking a nap in their new camper haha is super cool ;D
Very nice trailer!
I would suggest to add a security wire that clips to the bike and catches the trailer in the event that the trailers rubber silent block coupling would become loose.
Smudo is one lucky fella :-)
It doesn't get any cuter than Smudo in his own trailer. I love how he knows this is his and jumps back in ready for the next adventure. Lucky dog rides again.
Every time I watch one of your videos I am inspired and Iove the little tricks, like the washer with the marker. Awesome build as always!
I love how you made it look like a mini airstream camper , GREAT WORK .
Cutting on a slab of insulation. SMART. I always have problems supporting work, cutting into sawhorses, overbalancing things or just hitting the workbench with my jigsaw. This one thing will change my life. THANK YOU.
I am happy you got something out of the video! I always keep a sheet of styrofoam around. Makes working with a jigsaw fun :)
Every dog deserves a friend like you.
Top quality craftsmanship as usual.
Some neat tricks in there as well. I particularly like the trick of using the washer to get a consistent flange for the windows.
Happy Smudo ! He's always ready for a new project. Best friend.

Thank you!
@@laurakampf From all of us, Thank You. ❤
I think your work is artistic as it is utilitarian, also give my love to Smudo. And you also, you're great!
Genius way to (em)bark and ride like a boss-dog! Congratulations!
Nice choice of music and another great video
WOW! Every time I watch one (usually more) of your videos, I am blown away with your ingenuity. And your enthusiasm is a joy to watch. You’re always smiling, which makes me smile too.
That washer idea was mind blowing. I would have used pop rivets to hold the tin down. It takes a little longer but it looks so much cooler.
Cute, the first time your dog entered the camper he looked a bit indecisive, but after that first time, on the way back, he hopped right in.
your dog is always so willing to try stuff out... Haha pupper is meh about the ride until he realizes rides may end at the park. That is one chill dog you have! Nice work.
This brought me such joy! Once Smudo got used to it, he sure seemed to like it. Okay, now off to my shop, to do less interesting but still enjoyable things!
So many shop tips slid into this build, awesome video!
The production is **chefs kiss** perfect. And yes I realize I’m commenting on a year old video
Your craftsmanship always blows me away
Loved the washer trick for marking out the Perspex
What a good dog! Smudo is lucky to have such a mom.
That is one chill dogo. Might I suggest something? It looks like the roller cover isnt secured down and just relies on the weight to keep it there. That is going to rattle something fierce, maybe use something like magnets to keep it in place and doesn't ruin the clean look.
The love you have for Smudo brings tears to my eyes. You are an amazing person, Laura. And Smudo is a lucky guy.
He is the best!
@@laurakampf So are you.
Beautiful technique, color and ideas....u're one of the best artist on youtube.
Greetings from Florence!
Ciaoooo
Now that's some good Smudo right there....lucky dog.
You can tell she loved it!
Any project with Smudo as the inspiration is tops in my book.
Awesome build, but you should add some kind of protection for the dirt of the rear wheel that goes straight to smudo's face
What a lucky dog and such a Good Boy.
Great trailer for Smudo . Nice trick with washer again . Thank you Laura !
Smudo is so chill. I love it!
I always like your vids, but this is one of the special ones to me because you did something very cool for Smudo.
Dogs are simply the best, imo.
I agree!
couldn't help but smile the entire time watching this. i love when you do projects for the dog.
Seeing Smudo sooo happy bring me to tears. Lost my boy Miller in November and I haven't been the same since. Keep up the amazing videos Laura and I'll see you at Spring Make!
Sorry to hear that! I can‘t even think about losing smudo one day...see you at spring make!
Smudo when getting in the trailer and looks at Laura, complete trust :)
Sorry to inform you that this is THE LOVELIEST BUILD YOU'VE EVER MADE!!!

using that big piece of foam for a cutting board is GENIUS!!!!

Haha!
He was so happy after the park visit
Smudo is so well behaved!
Oh wow. That tip with the washer just made it for me.
Really clever idea to use the washer to do the marking of the windows 👌
Impressive build and equally impressive video production. My only criticism is the lack of eye protection sanding, sawing, routering but great on all else! :)
Neat idea with the washer for drawing a slightly larger circumference
You can tell that laura's excited about a project when she smiles after fit-checking every step 😁 this is awesome!
True :)
This is the best thing ever!
Dogs are like their owners. Your dog has kind eyes. :-)
The smiles just make it that much more enjoyable to watch :)
Das ultimative Smudo-Mobil! Echt super! Mir gefällt die Abdeckung aus Holzleisten besonders gut!
Looks like a success from Smudo's smile!
Yep thats one spoilt fur baby and you wouldn't have it any other way. Great dog trailer Laura.
Have a great day

So much love and joy in this project ! Thank you for that
That washer-scribing trick is awesome!

Thanks Lory! Now that the weather is better I hope there will be more outside projects :) how is your green roof doing?

I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. The washer with the sharpie trick; stealing that.
