Why? I had it and sold it because the sensor just lacks detail for 4k video, lower DR and gets noisy way faster than a 6300 for example. So you are making many sacrifices for the stabilization. Not worth it.

Hey Prabhjot, I really love your style of videos, I enjoy watching them! I have recently sold my GH4 and G7 and went to a Sony a 7Aiii while also getting a Panasonic G9. I love the quality of the Sony, but I love the user interface of the Panasonic‘s. But I can’t stand the shutter of the G9 in anyway, It is way too soft and quiet for my liking. I like a solid robust click in the shutter that the G9 cannot provide. You mentioned the G85 having a new shutter, do you know if it’s closer to the G7 shutter feeling, or something closer to the newer G9 shutter? I appreciate your kinds words. Regarding cameras, I'm also considering selling my GH4, as the G85 and G7 combo really serves me well. Shutter mechanisms are a matter of personal choice, I like both the heavy clunky shutter of my Sony a7 as well as the nice and queit shutter of G85. I'm using Nikon D3400 starter camera which is not premium as lumix. Lumix G85 has some great specs with premium quality pictures takings. Very nice review prab👌🏼.
Amazing video man! I have a question, please answer. I'm about to buy the G85 and it comes with 12-60 f/3-5.5.6 or 14-140 f/3.5-5.6 kit lenses. (14-140 and 12-60 are kit lenses and i can choose one of them) What should I buy: 1. Panasonic 12-60 f/3.5-5.6 and Olympus 40-150 f/4-5.6 2. Just Panasonic 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 (i'm getting prime 25mm f/1.7 in both cases). I do video the most. I heard that Oly 45-150 suffers from a lot of chromatic abberation, whilst 14-140 supposedly has micro jittering issues. Also, 12-60 isn't as sharp as 14-140mm is, but Olympus 40-150 is sharper than 14-140mm at the higger end (100-140mm).
I would say go for the G85 + 14-140mm as it also has Mega O.I.S, which will enable Dual I.S on the G85. And in that case you won't have to carry to different lenses with overlapping focal coverages. And yes the 25mm 1.7 is also a great pick. Hope this helped and Thank you for your kind words.

Hey Prab! Which Camera Should I buy for vlogging around 500-600$. I found a6400, m50 and G85 till now! Btw your videos are sick🔥! Looking forward from you😉
For 2019 I upgraded my 3 cameras from the g7 to the g85. Video quality is basically the same however the IBIS is amazing! I can hand hold my g85 with tamron 70-200mm f2.8 and it's absolutely stable. Never ever could do that with the g7. I use my camera for video only
Exactly the IBIS on G85 is just amazing, I can film handheld with a 120mm equivalent focal length without any issues. And I agree, the video quality is the same!
Hey one quick question - is it possible to have a monitor attached that is showing the image while recording in-camera? :) The answer would help me a lot in my decision - thx in advance! :D
Hey buddy thank you for sharing this great video the Lumix g85 seems to be the way to go I like it it's watertight seal and dust-resistant I like that a lot thanks for sharing
If you compare the old GX8 which was weather sealed and similar size and specs to the g85 and the newer GX9 isn’t weathersealed, lacks a flippy screen and no mic jack - the G85 I think replaces the GX8 better than the GX9
Hi Bro, Firstly, yes you can use this as a b cam to the Gh4 Regarding vlogs for RUclips, it is doable, but you have to consider the Autofocus performance compared to its competition.
Between the GH4 and the G85, I would go with the G85. But in general if you want a camera mostly for vlogging, I would suggest the Canon M50 ( 1080p with Dual Pixel Autofocus)
Just buy this camera. You can't get a better video quality at this price in any year. The G85 has notably better video than the Olympus OM-D EM1 mark II, Nikon D500, D810 which are the only other cameras that I had to compare it to. Stabilization is incredible even in 2019 and still image quality is also incredible even on a 72" TV! My only issue with it was the smallish buttons and controls which made it hard for me to use without glasses. I replaced it with the G9 which is a bigger camera with better-everything and is easier to use because the camera and the controls are bigger overall.
@@PrabhjotSinghTech It is an absolutely wonderful camera that does everything right. That being said, the G85 is 90% as good for 1/3 the price. Like I mentioned before, if the G85 were a little larger, I would've never looked at the G9. Also if you plan on using the G9 for still photos (which I don't) then you will really appreciate the massive electronic viewfinder. As you may have guessed by my username, my still photography happens on film!

In your opinion, what would be better, G85 or G7 for Video and Photo? I saw your G7 cinematic video and thought it looked fantastic, but would you recommend the G85 over the G7 for doing the same kind of work?
Thanks for the kind words man. Regarding your question, I would say if you can spend the extra money, absolutely go for the G85 and 12-60 kit lens, The IBIS alone worth the extra money moreover you will get more versatile kit lens. And the G85 also doesn't split the video files and doesn't have any record limits either. 😄
please tell me does the G85M's image sensor wobbles until its turned on ? BEcause I can really feel the internal movement of the body and it seems some part is loosened. Is it normal ?? Or shall I replace the product ?
@@PrabhjotSinghTech Thanks for the response bud I was really scared. So wobbling of image sensor is totally normal until turned on ? Does it happen with all the Lumix APS cameras ?
Hi Ontu, adapters don’t usually have great autofocus, but if you still want to adapt there are multiple options from companies like Metabones, Viltrox and Commlite.
I have a huge doubt and is the reason why I want a new camara: I need this camara to video tape my art drawing, this auto-focus will be focusing my hand drawing instead the paper with the art? Is a really big issue for me to have a camera that focus the art and not my hand. If this is not the right camera for my purposes, which camera do you recommend for recording art drawing? I hope you can help me with this info. Thank you.
Hello Jerry! You don't need to use Autofocus while recording your art drawing, you can manually set the focus on the drawing and then carry on your filming without any focus issues. Something I would recommend tho is that, since you are going to be using it mostly on a tripod, I would assume you won't need the In-body Image Stabilization. So, in that case I would recommend the Lumix G7 which is the predecessor of G85. It will cost you a lot less, and provide identical results. Hope this helped!
I love the XT3, but I'd wait until Fuji puts in IBIS on their next model (which, the way put out models is like one a year). I didn't think IBIS would be a big deal when I bought my G85, but I'm amazed how low my shutter speed can go with IBIS (thus a lower ISO). And for video IBIS is a must these days.

Film Photography Channel, I am really interested in trying out the G9, seems like a very good Hybrid Camera!
As you may have guessed by my username, my still photography happens on film!
great video, looking to purchase my first digital camera for general purpose (family events, youtube, sporting events etc.) think I like this one for the money
Season greetings from Atlanta Georgia thank you for sharing this video thank you very much it's a very beautiful camera I think it's awesome I think I'm going to get one thank you
What camera did you use filming this video and what are the settings?
Gh4 + Sigma 18-35
@@PrabhjotSinghTech 4k?
Very detailed video man. Well done.
Thanks Kagan!
Which is the perfect gimbal for pansonic g85?
Great video and commentary
With it's micro four third sensor, what is the equivalent of 12mm with the a normal dslr ?
Hi I was wondering how you got the camera and kit lens for under 600 US?
It was in the Amazon used section, they have some pretty good deals there!
@@PrabhjotSinghTech Thank You!
Ok sir
Nice video, I love all my Panasonic cameras 👊👊🔥🔥
Awesome Video Homie !
Thank you Mr.Theory
I'm looking to buy this one btw nice video subbed!!
Thank you Tajinder Singh, It's a great camera, won't disappoint you! 😄✨
How is mounting the sigma lens to this camera?
In your opinion, what would be better, G85 or G7 for Video and Photo? I saw your G7 cinematic video and thought it looked fantastic, but would you recommend the G85 over the G7 for doing the same kind of work?
Thanks for the kind words man. Regarding your question, I would say if you can spend the extra money, absolutely go for the G85 and 12-60 kit lens, The IBIS alone worth the extra money moreover you will get more versatile kit lens. And the G85 also doesn't split the video files and doesn't have any record limits either. 😄
Sony a6400 or Lumix G85 for video
Sirji ese Hum Wedding Videography me use kr Sakte hai ya Nahi
night Me Noise to ni aayegi
The G85 has a silent mode in situations where you want it to make absolutely no noise, so yeah it is not a noisy camera.
If you have any questions, you can message me on Instagram @_pjsingh
Where did you buy this I have not seen it lower then 799 with kit lens
Check the used section on Amazon, you can get great prices from the amazon warehouse returns section.
590 on ebay 2 weeks ago. Like new condition.
Erik when quoting prices it is a good idea to specify new or used
Could you let us know, if there's any recording limit on Indian version.
Here is how it goes:
Lumix G80 : 30 minutes record limit
Lumix G85 : unlimited recording
Just make sure what model number you are getting.
@@PrabhjotSinghTech Thanks for the information.
please tell me does the G85M's image sensor wobbles until its turned on ?
BEcause I can really feel the internal movement of the body and it seems some part is loosened.
Is it normal ??
Or shall I replace the product ?
It is the IBIS system, it is normal
@@PrabhjotSinghTech Thanks for the response bud
I was really scared. So wobbling of image sensor is totally normal until turned on ?
Does it happen with all the Lumix APS cameras ?
Should I get the lumix g85 in 2019?
Definitely worth it in my opinion! 🙌
Which camera is better for take still images? canon80D or lumix G85???????
For Stills, If you want,
More Megapixels, and a bigger sensor : 80D
IBIS and a smaller form factor : G85
I still go with lumix. This one is impressive
Can you recommend adapter for g85 with great focus
Hi Ontu, adapters don’t usually have great autofocus, but if you still want to adapt there are multiple options from companies like Metabones, Viltrox and Commlite.
Informative and gently explained, subscribed. Blessings bubby...
Thank you Meshach!
We Can Use this Camerail In Wedding
Is It Noiseable Camera
G85 or a6100?

Great video, thank you sir!
Great review
@@PrabhjotSinghTech Awesome-- I really appreciate your fast reply. Thank you!!!
@@PrabhjotSinghTech Thank you very much for the fast reply!!!
I own the lumix g80, however I think in 2019 I would recommend you to save up for the fujifilm xt3
@@paulondra19 true, I am thinking about getting the a7iii now lol
Hi dude😊 Long time no see. Thinking to buy Canon 200 D or 77D after my 12th Board exams, but I dunno which one to buy! Anyways I'll be back in April. Keep up the good work bro..

Hello Harish Photography Patel!
If you are going to shoot video heavily, I would suggest the Lumix G85.
really good review 👍
Thank you Adam & Val 😄

So if aperture is variable does that I cannot manually adjust the aperture?
Hello Radhe Radhe Production,
You can change the aperture, it only means that when you zoom the lens, it's aperture goes from f3.5 to f5.6
@@PrabhjotSinghTech should I consider 12-60 lens if I want bokeh. I'm a first time buyer and currently learning photography. What camera and lens would you suggest for a beginner?
I think the g85 with the 12-60 is a great setup to get started with Photography and video making. But you will need to invest in additional lenses along the way to get backgrounds with creamy bokeh!
Hay bro !!

Which should I buy gh4 vs g85
