  • The truck market is in trouble and MSRPs on trucks are reaching an all-time high. Many major companies including Ford, GMC, Chevy, RAM, and Toyota have a huge problem on their plates. With interest rates super high right now and with inflated truck prices, greedy dealerships, and low quality standards, buyers are growing increasingly frustrated and fed up with the state of the auto industry.

    The new Tundra isn't even a truck anymore. Less payload capacity than a Rav4.

      Ever since the 8 foot beds started disappearing is when we lost trucks

      While I agree on your premise your argument is a lie which doesn't strengthen your argument. The RAV4's payload is 1K-1200 lbs while the Tundra's is 1575 - 1940 lbs payload. That is actually pretty darn good for a 1/2 ton truck.

      @@SuperSnakePlissken might have been a bit hyperbolic. But that's still terrible for a full-size pickup. Mid-size are more than 1,500 in most configs. F-150 and Silverado both have configs that go over 3,000 lbs.
      Also, the term ½ton hasn't had any relevance since the 80s, maybe even the 70s.

    I'm still driving a 2000 Chevy Silverado with over 507k miles. I'm not willing to pay these ridiculous prices to get a newer truck. I don't need/want most of these new "features" truck makers think I need. I buy functionality not "beauty."

    Investment banking is killing the car and truck markets, Greed is value in the vehicle any more. There no hiring mechanical engineers to build cars there hiring banking engineer to completely destroy Auto companies. All that matters is profits for investors.

    Prices for american trucks are stupid because american trucks have become stupid. The 1990 F-150 was a reasonable sized truck with a reasonable price, the new F-150 is a stupid sized truck, so people get a stupid price.
    These trucks barely get any work like they used to, they are more like a luxury vehicle that moms use to carry their kids around. If people continue to pay those ridiculous prices then there is no point in complaining about it.

    The truth they don't sell us the real trucks in USA when u go to foreign countries u realize what a real truck is like a Nissan patrol turbo Diesel or a Hilux Toyota turbo Diesel Toyota Prado etc

    • @rightwingsafetysquad9872
      @rightwingsafetysquad9872 27 дней назад +1

      Toyota doesn't sell the Hilux in America because no one would buy one. The Tacoma is effectively a luxury Hilux. People who would save money buying a Hilux instead of a Tacoma would buy something used instead. No one sells small diesels in America anymore because they suck, especially when made to be compliant with our emissions laws. Our emissions laws are actually very good, they are effective at promoting clean air without hindering good gasoline engines.
