Take that list and compare it with the top ten most reliable vehicles. Land Rover drops out. Honda goes lower on the list. Mazda joins the list and Toyota tops the list. Don’t get me wrong, Honda is right behind Toyota, but they do have some mechanical issues and maintenance is more expensive. People are getting older and wiser. If you’re going to pay 40k to 60k for a vehicle, you want something that will require basic maintenance for at least five years, or more. Also, I’m surprised Range Rover made the list over Subaru.
The only Range Rover I have ever seen that is really nice and powerful , has a GM 5.3L engine with over 1,000hp and automatic GM transmission. Those changes alone eliminated 95% of the normal problems.

Toyota has had major production and parts issues going back to 2021. They haven't been alleviated. Being the lagest automaker in the world, and selling the most cars of course a supply crunch would put all their cars in "short supply". You can't get the kia sportage easily anywhere
Ranger Rover? Really? Why no Subarus? We’ve been shopping for a small SUV lately and the only dealership that was busy with actual customer was the Subaru dealership. I’m getting a 2025 Forester for my wife…she loved it as soon as we test drove it.
The flaw in this test is that the car has to have inventory. I don’t think Tellurides are sitting on any lot. They are sold before they arrive. This will exclude them from this evaluation.
So many folks getting upset about what’s on this list 😂 This video is essentially an education on which manufactures are the best at predicting demand for certain models 🤷🏻♂️ There’s a huge spread between cars on lots and the time expected to sell em. Great video. Very interesting.
We had a 1989 Camry 4 cylinder that was like a sewing machine on wheels. Traded it 10 years later for a slightly used 1997 model. Bad decision. The 97 developed transmission problems and if nobody wrecked that little 89 Camry it’s probably got a million miles on it. Best value ever. Not as much fun to drive as Civics or a Mustang GT that I later owned but it was a great car.
Agreed and if I could afford to buy a fleet of them, I would not hesitate to do it. More bang for your buck, reliable and no cvt transmissions and still get decent to acceptable gas mileage. We own a cx5 and love it and have had no problems with it at all.
Agreed! We own a cx5 and we are immensely happy with it and have considered adding the cx70 our inventiory because of the inline 6 and a tow package. Mazda is a reliable brand and just gets better over time.
I am an old timer and I remember some cars that were"flying off the shelves", such as the Chevy Vega; Ford Pinto; Gm "X" bodies. Those were POF vehicles! So, "popular" cars doesn't mean "GOOD" cars!! Most likely it's because they are CHEAP, like the increasing popularity of "DOLLAR" stores.
The "good old days" of the Arab oil embargo. Honda, Toyota and Datsun cornered the market on small cars. As you suggest, the big 3 came out with their 4 cylinder economy cars. but they were junk.
I think your list is wrong. I’ve seen cars at our dealer have a turn over of 10 days. In and out. The car is the new Trax. It’s cheaper and has a new look and is selling almost as soon as we get them.
Range Rovers are now, always have been , and always will be hopeless money pits. Why is it that you can spot 10 to 15 year old Toyotas and Hondas on the road every day, but you almost NEVER see similar aged Range Rovers anywhere but at wrecking yards. Beware of these! BILL
I bought a theater Corolla. Cross hybrid and the fuel economy is great. But the seats are not the "leather seats" and very hard and uncomfortable and it's got a stupid feature which is that you cannot use the handbrake, unless you put your safety belt on first which is very ridiculous and dangerous at the same time. And it's not as fast as people think it is because from 0- 80 kilometers an hour, it's got a good feel, but after that, the revs of the engine go up makes a lot of noise and it loses power. The old Toyota can kick its butt any day
There is a noticeable push by manufacturers towards a SUV over a car. More practical for younger families and for those requiring AWD. The only question here is ..which Lexus/Toyota fits my budget and if a second car is required, which Honda do I want. I have owned several Honda CR-Vs and recently purchased a Lexus NX350 , the Honda Touring is a beautiful vehicle and noticeably less expensive than the NX but not as classy. At 76 yo, I am enjoying the best of both worlds. My next will probably be a Lexus hybrid for my busy wife.🇨🇦👍👨🦳💙

They are a great car. The interiors are the best in the industry. Japanese made.
How is CRV #3? Dealers near me have plenty on the lot. RAVs on the other hand are much more difficult to find.
Agree
That’s because Toyota’s are having supply issues. That doesn’t count as demand.
Must be small people buying those Rav4's. The CRV's interior is much more spacious and better thought out.
I bought a brand new Loaded Rav 4 in early 2020 and it’s been a great vehicle. Only thing I don’t like about it is the headroom getting in and out. I’m 6’1” and have to watch my head getting in and out.
In 2022 I ordered a RAV4 hybrid without seeing even one current models on dealers lots, I had to wait 2 months to get it built and shipped. This year I bought a Mazda CX90 PHEV and ordered a Highlander hybrid waiting 10 weeks to get it built and shipped. Also no dealers had even one new Highlander on the lot. I love Toyotas but hate that Toyota limits the supply to the point that you have to order blind. It was so much easier to buy the Mazda which has the same engine as the Highlander but with a much nicer leather interior.
The Lexus NX is a great looking vehicle but too bad the seats are so uncomfortable.
My neighbor kept his Sienna with 120K as he detests the seats in his kids Camry, and his wife's new Venza.
What no EV's? Lol Just thought I'd stir the pot.
... No but some of the hybrids are sold out and there is a 9 month waiting list...... I had to wait a year and 1⁄2 for my electric motorcycle....😂😂😂😂Has a better softer ride than a $4,000 Honda....200 mile range....
In Scandinavia over 50% of cars sold are E’s
RAV 4 is even better as plug in
I’ve had two Nissan Rogues and loved them !!!
However, Nissan is in trouble. Many reports say 12 to 14 months unless Nissan finds a merger partner.
Cheap gas savers are hot , other then that nobody is buying
Take that list and compare it with the top ten most reliable vehicles. Land Rover drops out. Honda goes lower on the list. Mazda joins the list and Toyota tops the list.
Don’t get me wrong, Honda is right behind Toyota, but they do have some mechanical issues and maintenance is more expensive.
People are getting older and wiser. If you’re going to pay 40k to 60k for a vehicle, you want something that will require basic maintenance for at least five years, or more.
Also, I’m surprised Range Rover made the list over Subaru.
How about the Acuras.
They definitely should be on this list.
In vt, toyota corrola has none on lot , all sold before they get to the dealership, im waiting in line, where was the CORROLA
3:06 #8 it is mentioned w/ the Toy' Cross since that is basically a Corolla with a hatchback
@@atimko123 Sort of... I have a Corolla hatch, it is much smaller than the Cross. The Cross could be my next car.
The only Range Rover I have ever seen that is really nice and powerful , has a GM 5.3L engine with over 1,000hp and automatic GM transmission. Those changes alone eliminated 95% of the normal problems.
My buddy had a Range Rover and guys alternated between the Rover and their trucks in Baja. The Rover soaks up those bumps.
Hey, DOJ and FTC are coming down on these dealer software as price fixing. The housing software they just announce the suit against them. Basically the same software as the housing was using and a lot of other companies.
The "housing software they just announce the suit against them"? I am sure this means something. Anybody out there know what?
#1 just went to #20 IMO. The battery will be heavy which means: Much faster tire wear, supporting rare earth mining by basically slave labor and last but not least...repairs are super expensive.
I chose a crv over the rav4 due to its quieter ride.
Bigger interior also and nicer seats.
I chose the Rav4 hybrid because it has a spare tire.
I bought a two year old Cadillac XT6 last month, best suv I could find at a decent price.
How donyou like it... I'm between the xt5 and the Lincoln corsair
Where does the model Y stand?
Land Rover ???? BS
MAZDA ?? Something😮 missing??? Mazda is crushing it!
👏👍
Brought to you by the Toyota and Honda dealers association.
That's right they are the best vehicles to buy...not the European and American shit.
@@mikepetrilli4686 Uh, Mike. You need to bring yourself into the year 2024.
@@roberthenry9319Well Bob, I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and shit out a smarter statement than that 😂😂
Not, Data is from CarEdge, Not a Dealer association 😅.
What about the Nissan Rough?
Well you can just pay attention to what's driving down the freeway as well
Range Rover??? Hahaha. You meet some of the nicest people in their repair center waiting rooms.
How about small trucks and large trucks and 4 wheel drive trucks?
I work at a Toyota store the only vehicles moving slow are the trucks.
That 100K engine recall is killing sales.
Like my Tundra CrewMax
No mazda suv ?
Agreed and if I could afford to buy a fleet of them, I would not hesitate to do it. More bang for your buck, reliable and no cvt transmissions and still get decent to acceptable gas mileage. We own a cx5 and love it and have had no problems with it at all.
Agreed! We own a cx5 and we are immensely happy with it and have considered adding the cx70 our inventiory because of the inline 6 and a tow package. Mazda is a reliable brand and just gets better over time.
the local Lexus dealer just added 8 GX 550's to the inventory and all 8 are "Presold"
I camt get a hybred rav 4 test drive. Dealed says none avail to test drive.
Someone please! What does "Cross Over" mean?
How come I don’t see any of these models on the road much but see so many new Jeep models that you never mention very often.
I have a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek and I couldn't be any happier with it. Why
is there is there no Subarus on this list far better vehicle for the price
Expected civic and corolla to definitely be up there
Where are the American brands ? Probably busy spending government research and development grants to buy back shares for share holders..
Honda HR-V seems to have the right size and the right price and it looks beautiful!
We’re very happy with our new 2024 HRV base model. 😀
I think your list is wrong. I’ve seen cars at our dealer have a turn over of 10 days. In and out. The car is the new Trax. It’s cheaper and has a new look and is selling almost as soon as we get them.
So basically Toyota and Honda own this list. Not surprised.
What about the Lexus RX
OK. What about it?
The best selling car in Newfoundland is the KIA Seltos
Kia's worst cars ever made
Well, it is definitely a game changer know that.
If any car can survive Newfoundland winters.....they are the cars to buy.
Range Rovers are now, always have been , and always will be hopeless money pits. Why is it that you can spot 10 to 15 year old Toyotas and Hondas on the road every day, but you almost NEVER see similar aged Range Rovers anywhere but at wrecking yards. Beware of these! BILL
It's true as of now. SUV's are out pacing truck sales, at least at Chevy, this month.
Its a real shame Toyota stopped making the Avalon in 2022 their top seller
Camry is a better value and sells more. 😊
Replaced by the Crown. Larger sedan and expensive. Saw one at my dealership while getting my car serviced.
Those things were marshmallows on wheels.
I think replacing the RR for the Palisade!
I’m surprised the telluride didn’t make the list , this vehicle want stay on the lot long either.
I am surprised that The Subaru Forester is not on this list
I bought a 6 year old Toyota Highlander is one of the best cars I ever owned is in emaculate condition too
I'm considering a used highlander as well or a new CRV. Which trim level?
I have the xle beautiful vechicle very nice ride. I saved $12,000 by purchasing a six year old
@starspica1 Thanks, I've been looking at a used XLE and Limited or limited platinum. Just trying to decide if i want the added features but the XLE has everything I need. Thanks so much for responding. Plus I like the CD players in the older ones. Lol
You won't go wrong with an xle, yes the others have more bells and whistles, but honestly the xle is actually more then I need in electronics. I am 71 and took me two months to learn it all. I am good now but I never knew there was so much safety options bundled up in this.
I'm also glad I bought 2017 because the newer ones I bieve are 4 cyl. I'm at the age I'm not as concerned with gas mileage as I am with performance
The Toyota Highlander is very reliable. You may email me at anytime
@@starspica1 You're awesome, I sure will. Thank you!
It's # of days inventory. RANGE Rover has 1600 total in the US, 29 days doesnt add up to a volume seller.
comes as no suprize toyota has most of the cars on the list 4 bangers save a lot on fuel cost plus they r made well i have an 03 camery it run like a top
Please use the YT app chapters features for your vids.
It's not a SUV,(the camry). The video is not about SUVS, it's about the vehicles that sell the quickest 😂😂😅
The 2024 Toyota 4Runner.I bought one and love it. Not fancy but old school I like it.
I purchased a 2024 4Runner Limited in the Underground color. Reliability at its finest.
I bought a 2023 4 runner and it is a very solid reliable suv
In one of your recent videos, you identified land rover and Jaguar as slow selling vehicles. You need to verify the validity and reliability of your sources 😢.
is it hybrids?
The price of vehicles is absolutely ridiculous!
So, why is the Toyota Camry even on the list of SUVs ?
Basically, the 1stplaceon the least supply of SUVs would be the CRV since the Camry is not an SUV to make this list in the first place🤔
Interesting, they picture a Kia Telluride in their cover picture, but isn't on their list of the top 10.
I'm surprised the Toyota Venza 2024 did not make the list
slipped a Range Rover into the mix but recovered to finish strong
