Hang on to your older vehicles and maintain them people. New/used engines and transmissions if needed are way cheaper than a new money pit.
My take on the crash. The economy has skyrocketed farther up than it ever has at anytime in history. The saying is still true...."the bigger they are; the harder they fall". The world economy is in dire straits. Look at China, Germany, the UK, most of Europe, India's money is freefalling currently. Canada is in trouble financially and politically. Our economy is tied to this world economy. We are all going to go down. We, the USA has the king dollar so we always fall last. When that fall comes, we have the furthest to go. That will drag the stock market down and that will be the final nail in this coffin. Trump cannot save us from this happening. Many more businesses will fail. Prices will have to crash to be able to scoop up pennies. So the prices will be across the board, but coming down they are on houses, cars, food, insurance, electric...you name it and it MUST come down. The question is when? No one knows that but a few elites as they will determine the crash. It has been held back, but a tidal wave can only be held for so long. The flood will come and wash many of us away. Hang on.
@@jean-louislalonde6070 Only if we have a depression. If it is a recession, the cuts will be less, but things will come back to close to normal and end this twilight zone nonsense.
With the number of boat videos where the truck is launched due to lack of power and poor traction on the ramp, people need to shell out big bucks for their boat plus a 100K for an F350 to get that power and torque needed to avoid being the owner of a submarine at the dock. This world is getting way to expensive.
Thanks for the heads up, Been waiting for the crash, see what happens in my area. Unfortunately many of those unsold vehicles will continue to remain unsold. Manufactures and dealer took the risk and loss on high priced vehicles. Please no government bailouts and maybe manufactures will get back to making affordable vehicles, otherwise it’s cycle. $30 to $40k out the door is the price point for many people.
Thank You for being impartial and non-bias with your opinions. Not like other channels(Hybrid Kirk and Jon TOR), it’s obvious they’re getting a cut from Toyota.
For a couple weeks, dealerships in WA were marking down the RAM TRX Final Edition to about 110k. But now they doubled down on their stupidity and raised the price back to full MSRP with many dealerships adding 10, 20, 30, 40, 50k mark ups on them now. Can't wait for the stupid dealerships to start going out of business!
Well said. I am in the uk and retired, the main people buying new or almost new cars are retired people. They have the means but are very switched on. Manufacturer's have taken the piss, unless there are large discounts they will not buy or purchase nearly new.
Used car dealers were no different. I bought a ‘19 Corolla (99,999miles) for $22k during covid. They’re still calling me begging for my business. Let it all crash.
I really enjoy your cogent and accurate observations. I'm blessed as a retired professional and can pretty much afford any vehicle on a Ford, Chevy, or CDJR lot. If not for OEM and dealer greed, I planned to cash-purchase a full-size pickup truck this year. Unlike food and other necessities, purchasing a personal-use new truck remains very optional. I'll hold on to my money and wait for the inevitable 'hard' car market crash. No sympathy available for mismanaged business models. For those dealers who survive, take the 'lessons learned' and move forward with productive respect and digestible prices for your customer base.
This from the guy who said 1 year ago that carmax was doomed. FYI - carmax stock price is up 15%. Not a bad return for a year at all. So take everything was a 1000 lb grain of salt
YOU GUYS ALWAYS SAY THIS, nobody is waiting for the car market to go down if all all honesty let them all go bankrupt bye bye 👋 who wants to by a 2021-2025 shit made box.
I want a pickup with hand crank window roll down, a key that you actually use to open your own trunk instead of pushing a button. An AM FM radio with no air conditioning and 3 on the tree with a 289 or 302 v8, 2 wheel drive for around $18,000. All the electronics, fancy wheels, tires, suspension, custom interior with maps and Bluetooth you can stick up you dealers behind. Its hard to find a vehicle of any kind that will last as long as the payments and spoiling us with keyless entry doesn't alter that fact.
This is a direct result of the government's push toward 'green' vehicles. The car manufacturers are forced to lower the overall MPG average of their fleet. Trucks with big V8s kill that average, so they drop down to 4-cylinder engines. Those design changes cost money, which then get passed on to the consumers. It's a vicious cycle. The government needs to get out of the way and let the free market work.

Hang on to your older vehicles and maintain them people. New/used engines and transmissions if needed are way cheaper than a new money pit.
In 20 years, you won’t be able to buy a new car for under $100,000
My take on the crash. Hang on.
Assets will sell for pennies on the dollar.
Tacoma force max for $55k is insane. Tundra force max was $55k just a. Few years ago
Outstanding job keep up the good work… merry Christmas to you and your family🎄🇺🇸🙏❤️
Well done! I 100 percent agree with everything you stated.
The best auto analysis online for really what is happening. Great stuff.
Soon Mexico's unemployment rate will take off too.
They can ship their car production to other latin america country.
That's the real truth that no one else is mentioning 😊😊.
China and Mexico are shaking hands, and they will be fine.
Mexico is making Chinese EVs now and will ship to other countries.
I've watched numerous people talk about the auto market .
I like the Way You have Facts & Get Right to the Point . 👍
Main reason they're not selling them is there not worth a damn, people are buying older used ones & there out there for sale.
I've never seen such a race to the bottom like I've seen Toyota going from suger to shit ...
True
All these corporations and their shareholders love layoffs and enshittification of their products. It's truly their favorite thing
Pride cometh before the fall.
Well said. I am in the uk and retired, the main people buying new or almost new cars are retired people. They have the means but are very switched on. Manufacturer's have taken the piss, unless there are large discounts they will not buy or purchase nearly new.
it is insane to push the market that isnt there
Looks like i'll be driving junk the rest of my life! But I'll still be eating good!
Thanks for the info man!
Good video
DO NOT BAIL THEM OUT!
Used car dealers were no different. I bought a ‘19 Corolla (99,999miles) for $22k during covid. They’re still calling me begging for my business. Let it all crash.
Reduce the MSRP now! 43k should not be the median MSRP. Cut 10k off that and you'll clear the lots.
All happened because of greedy people, money 💰 is the devil 😈
All those dealer markups during and following the pandemic have a lot of people upside down when they shouldn’t be.
Awesome news 👏 🙌 😀
100k For a diesel half-ton is absolutely mental.
I can't imagine anyone stomaching that for a non-dually diesel
Toyota ignored their truck customer base and screwed up in my opinion.
Just hearing these numbers it's mind blowing how any consumer can lecture others on fiscal responsibility while thousands under water.
no bail out let the buyers with cash have the ability to buy this junk for what it is truly worth
Let em sit! Hopefully most people have the fortitude to leave these trucks where they sit.
Amazing content.
What a great video!
Love your sense of humor
Preach on sister
The dealers did this to themselves. Let the manufacturers bail out the dealers.
One important observation: Over the last two days, I’ve seen over 2 dozen newly purchased vehicles on the road.
Says something about people who constantly site their educational background
I like your style.... Subscribed !
@untamedmotors have you been following the market on the raptor R lately?
These videos on cars. Prices on everything from homes to groceries have gone up just as much.
Very informative video 👍🏾
Can you please confirm what I saw @ 0:10 was correct? Car reduced from 68K to 44K? Is that really what's happening or is that a one off? That's a hell of a reduction..........
I’m looking for a new 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor. Where can I find these deals at $18,000 to $20,000 off MSRP??
I work for a r/r here in Mobile where we spot auto racks for the auto terminal. I recently saw a full sized Bronco with the Adventure package and the sticker had $89,000
Hello LM, Very compelling and realistic analysis, great job, what you think about the impact of car market crash in used car market, would it be even worse ?
Just about to roll over 90,000 miles on my 2014 5.0 f150. About to replace transmission filter, fuel filter, injectors spark plugs and coolant flush and she’ll be ready to go for another 100,000 miles. I don’t plan on trading it in or selling it. Gonna update the surround sound and maybe throw in some newer f150 seats and call it a day. This is what Americans are left with.
Great video. So when is the right time to buy? Now : 3 months from now?
What are you thinking?
How is Honda doing? I haven’t seen any videos like this including Honda
Only if this industry whines and cries for a bailout and it's DENIED.
This just hasnt begun its been going on for over three years now, the greed has taken over with ALL brand car makers & i will never buy another vehicle again to keep what i have till my last day on earth..
how do they not kick this guy off the lot lol
I would… No soliciting. If he hits you with “the customers always right” then buy something. Otherwise you’re not a customer. lol.
Bad advertising is better than no advertising at all.
I was worried I got screwed when I paid 50k for a 2021 Tundra Plat w/26k miles in April of this year. But anyone buying new is def getting screwed - with no lube. My truck has maintained its resale value so far.
Not one penny of tax payers money for bail outs ...fire all ceos and their board of idiots
