One is essentially paying a premium for a better looking car that has more pep and is a sportier more fun car to drive over the previous anemic ones. The increase in price over the previous generation is justified.
Most people lease EVs, so don't worry about the depreciation fallout. There are some decent deals for used EVs. 2025 will be an interesting year for automakers
As a Toyota owner, i wouldn't get rid of my 5.7 V8 for a V6TT hybrid.. I own a 2019 Tundra and i would've paid that 80k for too trim with a V8 with the hybrid system. NO V6, NO turbos.
Car makers aren’t building these smaller engine vehicles because they want to. They’re building them because government threatened them with lower fuel standard regulations. Most of the problems we are seeing with the car market are due to government. Not auto makers.
If you are talking about oversupply, it looks like all the manufacturers overproduced trucks (especially higher trim levels) and overpriced them to boot.
My Toyota dealership had two Camry LE models at MSRP and they didn't last. They have AWD models at $33K and up. It's pretty clear that there is lots of demand for base model Corollas, Camry, Prius. I'm not sure on the RAV4 but nobody seems to want the RAV4 Hybrids these days. Back in 2018, they had more LEs than other trim levels - customers went in and just grabbed the base model with no addons as it was quick, cheap and easy and a no-brainer car to buy. Add-ons and higher trim levels are not what customers want these days. Toyota, come on! I just had a minor repair at my local Meineke dealer to fix something minor for $100 that Toyota would have charged $2,000 for. And my 2012 Camry feels absolutely great. I'm back to just waiting. My dealership sends me an offer for a new Camry LE for $31,500 from $33,500. The 31,500 price includes add-ons. Give me. one for $29,500 and you get my interest. Give me one for $27,500 and the odds are high for a sale. But I could also just stay with my 2012 and 2018 Camrys for the next five years. 2025 Camyrs are all hybrids and I don't know if that's what I want.
The Edge is discontinued, 2024 is the last model year. Hell, that may be the last one on their lot. Discontinued is part of why it's being discounted that much.
Was buying a new Land Cruiser. Over heard a sales rep tell a potential buyer that they do not discount siennas and they would have to accept MSRP or look at something else.
I wouldn't buy a turbo engine, they are all having problems. I like the new Subaru Brat, looks good, got bigger, and the boxer engine is good. Can't wait to test drive one.
Is this worse than 2024? Was looking last Spring and Ford still had 2022's and 23's. The F150's for 2024 didn't ship until late Summer. Stellantis (Ram / Jeep) was in the same position.
Toyota is paying over $1.3 Billion a MONTH to service their debt - the largest in Corporate history, with VW running them a close second. Two biggest = two in most trouble.

Can you do a segment specifically on 3/4 and 1 ton gas and diesels?
They all love turbo V6 engines because they tout HP and Torque. Unfortunately they won’t outlast a naturally aspirated V8. They know when it starts acting up you’ll be back for a new vehicle.
Over $30k for a Prius is insane. It should actually be a crime for such an insult to intelligence.
I own one of these new ones and test drove the previous generation prior to purchasing the new one. One is essentially paying a premium for a better looking car that has more pep and is a sportier more fun car to drive over the previous anemic ones. The increase in price over the previous generation is justified.
What’s worse is $35-39K for a new Camry!
Hope the government bails out these struggling car companies… This is horrible.
Most people lease EVs, so don't worry about the depreciation fallout. There are some decent deals for used EVs. 2025 will be an interesting year for automakers
Toyota wasn't the Guinea pig, Ford has been selling the F150 with an Ecoboost since 2011.
Nissan does without a buyout and cars become orphaned. No Tech support. No parts. Dead.
Bankruptcy doesn't mean, going out of business.
Is that MUD/WTR good with a shot of Bourbon??
Lmaoooooo 😂😂😂 @ad 06:00
Seems like everyone has a truck problem.
My local Toyota dealer is still ripping people off . Vero Beach , Florida
Isn't the Ford Edge being discontinued? That would hurt sales.
Try to find a Toyota sienna
Was buying a new Land Cruiser. Over heard a sales rep tell a potential buyer that they do not discount siennas and they would have to accept MSRP or look at something else.
Lady in my hood has one with 200k miles on it, Runs it like a taxi, drives by about 10 times a day,
7:06 dang! I bought my 2017 F150 xlt sport fx4 crew cab in race red with the 5.0L with 57k miles on it for $30k in 2021 😂
Is the Edge Ford's Hornet?
At 1 point they couldn't keep tacomas in stock in hawaii now they sitting in dealerships
New cars are really expensive in Ireland since covid.
Stellantis (Ram / Jeep) was in the same position.
gm have 4 cylinder turbo...ford 2.7 3,5, ram 3,0 ...
Toyota is paying over $1.3 Billion a MONTH to service their debt - the largest in Corporate history, with VW running them a close second. Two biggest = two in most trouble.
Going to be getting jeeps and rams for 30 to 40 percent off msrp. They are finally waking up after talking to Trump
Try “Lyfe” mushroom…A LOT better tasting!
I like this guy's vids
Merry Christmas to your family from mine.🎅2024
Merry Christmas to you too!
I'd rather walk than pay $20k over my personally assessed value for any vehicle.
I think more and more people are keeping their cars for a longer period of time and not buying new cars
Those prices are ridiculous
I might buy new, once the wheels fall off what I got. 😂😂
If i wanted a turbo v6 id just buy a Ford been doing it since 2011. Atleast Ford gives you options and a v8 along with 3/4 1 ton plus trucks. Tundra is hideous aswell.
