Having worked 30 years in Honda, I can fully agree with Carlos. There is no cynergy between these 3 brands. Nissan and mitsubishi philosophy does not match with Honda way of thinking. There is only one outcome; it will be demise of Honda 😢😢😢 please pray that it doesn't happend...Honda is amazing if it can find a new CEO fast
I will never forgive Carlos Ghosn for the horrible CVT transmissions they sold to the public. We spend so much money on our Altima. The second transmission we put in also failed. I will never buy any Nissan again.
This guy screwed Nissan and Mitsubishi. Jerk missed out on Hybrids revolution. When battery prices go down, hybrids will rule. He is not a CEO material. No vision.
I came here to write the same, he missed the hybrids back in 2012 and promised billions, more than TESLA market cap at that time to develop EVs. His achievement? NISSAN Leaf.
Isn't this the guy that was facing criminals charges in Japan but scaped in a box? So why is he being interviewed like nothing happened? Japan was going to lock him up and obviously he ran because he's guilty...
As for the Honda/Nissan/Mitsubishi merger, the only thing I can see of value for Honda from Nissan is the consumer trucks (Frontier and Titan here in the USA) and some of the smaller commercial vehicles ('box' trucks). The car line-up might be a good merge with Mitsubishi (not sure of their worldwide car presence), but Mitsibishi might want to get out of the consumer market for vehicles and just concentrate on their other industrial businesses (auto parts, aircraft parts, aircraft engines, other industrial equipment, etc). If Japan's METI tries to squash all three of these together it may collapse them all.
You do know Japan's judicial system is notorious for being "guilty until proven innocent"? Carlos Ghosn was politically targeted because he wanted to merge Nissan with Renault. Then when they stopped it, Nissan started falling apart since it was in a bad position already, which is why he wanted to save it through the merger. Now they're merging Nissan with Honda, which is a fellow Japanese company.
All the major Japanese & Western car brands would eventually disrupted out of the global market to close down by next few years. All of them are high-cost car producers because they are inefficient & slow in innovation when compared to the Chinese producers in China.
At least its just an opinion. In a month we'll have a convicted felon as President of the United States, running the day-to-day operations of the government.

More like the real rat, commit a crime and then sneak out like a rodent in a box.

Nissan should bring back Carlos back to run the company.
..maybe, from France though or wherever he run off to...

I shouldn't do to you what they did to him! This guy is very smart, he restructured two bankrupt companies!
no, nissan has lost any rights. foxconn should if they are smart.
Foxconn should hire this man to take over Nissan, again, for the sake of karma!
Japan doomed Nissan when they went after Carlos.
The man who outsmarted Japan.
My compliments.
I steal a chocolate bar, I get a criminal record, Carlos does some insane things, Bloomberg gives him airtime. 😂😂

Isn’t this guy a criminal?
😂

Exactly
Not exactly. It's a 50-50, he might have done some sketchy things, but he was going to be jailed by a corrupt court for things the he didn't do.
He knew how to leave Japan without a passport😂
The bankruptcy of Nissan has started

Why is this cheat on Bloomberg? Goshn failed Nissan and lost trust. Bloomberg you can do better. Clicks, huh?
why is anyone even asking him question?
