@@myoutuber77he sounds intelligent enough to not care about transportation glitz so I don’t doubt he could manage it appropriately. Not everyone is an idiot.
Let us be honest and realistic concerning the car industry _ with all the advances in technology * they could easily come up with something more appropriate for the community as means of transportation _ is not just the vehicle itself but the costs of insurance and maintenance are sincerely unable to afford _ plus the fact that vehicles are created with a short life span that you need to keep fixing time after time _ overall : the collapse of the car industry as we see is imminent also in part because of greed 😮
Yeah. More and more people want alternatives to cars and hate the money pits car ownership get you. Many hate the whole prospect of driving. They are so expensive and I know young people whose lives are all ruined by their lack of car ownership. They can't get a job without a car but need a job for a car. Some people are in good positions to live without a car. Also it will only get more hard to compete in the car industry. The US and Europe market have matured and are even shrinking. China is rejecting legacy brands and buying their own brands. The auromakers need to show constant growth. And they are some of the most indebted companies in the world. I really like cars but the whole system is honestly crumbling.
Not in part, in WHOLE. Bean counters always ruin the sales of decent designs. Cheapen the product until it won't sell anymore is their motto; then, reintroduce it by making it just a LITTLE better, and change the product's name and call it a new, improved design. Corporations have been shooting themselves in the foot for decades. What's worse, they know it, as executives do whatever they can to temporarily increase sales, then jump ship to another company with the bragging rights of 'Look what a great job I did at XYZ Co.! Then they repeat the same over and over over time, making sure that they all have a golden parachute clause in their contracts.

Once the new Dodge Charger Daytona EV gets released, I forsee that being one of the top of the list. The base model will be almost $70k, and the Scat Pack will be $84k. All for a 3 ton electric "muscle car" with subpar performance and well as a poor estimated range
GM vehicles have been just as reliable and often more so than Honda in the past few years. This isn't the Honda of 20 years ago we're talking about today.

The Ram 3500 has a major front bearing assembly problem and has for the last 4 years. The front hub assemblies are failing between 15,000 and 20,000 miles. The replacement parts are $2,000 per side and have a 6 to 9 month back order for availability. This combined with a transmission issue makes them a poor choice for businesses even though they have one of the best engines in the heavy duty pick-up market. My friend's business owns 7 of these trucks and 5 are side lined waiting on new hub assemblies and the 6th is in for a transmission replacement at only 37,000 miles.
1) In my decades of driving experience many SUV drivers are entitlement-driven as well as not paying attention to operating their vehicles (ie: phone and texting). 2) As an old school guy, I have held the 4 door sedan as a classy looking automobile. We were perfectly satisfied raising our 2 sons using sedans except 1 station wagon (NOT AN SUV). 3) EV’s: UGH!!!
I have typically bought Hondas, look after them and keep them for a long time. My 1995 Odyssey did 25 years and I sold it. My 2014 Odyssey is running like new (wife’s car) and my “new” 2020 CRV is running great. Paid about $32k for it. Anyone who buys to have something flashy or to support their ego or image needs to reset their priorities. Buy based on low running cost stats, reliability, look after them and keep them for a long time. You will avoid debt and have money in the bank.
I bought a new Wrangler a couple of months ago. It’s the 3rd Jeep I’ve owned. Out the door cost was 42k in Atlanta Georgia. I love my new jeep but if I could’ve waited a year or so for prices to come down I would’ve but I didn’t have that option. I will say tho that it’s my favorite car I’ve ever driven
Wouldn't buy any Dodge, any Ford, any Jeep, any Jaguar, any Lincoln, I'm not ready for an EV and neither is our infrastructure, Maserati is owned by a Chrysler/Fiat conglomerate, nuff said. Acuras are great, but this was co-developed with General Motors, and I would never buy anything from GM. That covers this list.

Not worth that much even. It should be priced at 20k to 27k MAX! The Dodge Hornet won’t sell because it’s not worth the money they are asking for, it has nothing to do with Dodge and nobody asked them to make this overpriced rebadged Alfa. Not to mention the poor people who bought them already are having issues and Stellantis won’t buy them back. Quality is down but asking prices are high. Definitely not a good idea
We bought a new base 4 cyl Dodge Caravan in 2002. We drove it everywhere until we traded it for a new 2024 Honda HRV base. We just maintained our Caravan regularly and never gave us a problem. It was not a junk van.
When I was young, just out of college, and with my first full-time job, I always thought that one day, after I had earned enough money, I would purchase a Jaguar. To me, it symbolized the epitome of success. Today, 40 years later, I was able to retire at age 55, and have a considerable net worth. I am in a position that I could easily afford to buy a Jaguar (or just about any other vehicle). Guess what my wife and I choose to drive: a used Ford Explorer and a used Toyota 4Runner.
I love my V-8 Toyota Tundra, not buying a truck 1/4 ton with a tiny 6 cylinder turbocharged.. turbo doesn't tow . I also love the older true crew cab which isn't available in the 6 cyl. They claim it's accrewmax lmbo, but i can barely fit in the new one , while i can lay down in back on the 2010 tundra. Yes they recline unlike the current version.
I’ve lived out of the US for the last 3 years. I was shocked when I returned to see just how expensive nearly everything is. At the gym I go to nearly everyone is driving one of these massive trucks or a brand new Jeep. People are such sheep to buy these vehicles. I’m happy with my 2006 Tacoma.
Planned obsolescence comes back to haunt manufacturers, the brand itself is the reason they're not selling. EV doesn't even fit in 8 years max down the road 25 k to 40 k battery packs no way.
They're all pretty nice compared to my first car: a rusted, well-used 1964 Corvair. But it only cost me $200, and allowed me to drive to work & school, and eventually afford nicer, more reliable vehicles.
This is the first time I've heard about the Acura ZDX and I've seen ZERO advertising for it, and I'm in the most liberal and electric car-friendly part of California. Marketing (or lack of) plays a big part of sales
One of the many things I do not understand about the car market. On the EV:s everything is electric and runs the whole time the car is in motion. Distance is the main thing everyone looks at and they waste battery power on things that do not need to be running all the time such as lights al the way around the outside of the car day and night and other things that do not need to run. Too much technology trying to get people to buy it.
In my country cars do not pile up because you go do a dealer and configure your new car in a long sale talk and the price is skyrocking while you change the color or add additional features piece by piece. Afterwards you wait 9 months until the car is produced and tailored to your wishes. I personally find all this totally ridiculous as cars should be cheap mass produced products and that is why my new car with only 15 miles officially is a "used yard car" and I saved lots of money buying a yard car like it is common in other countries.
I work at a vehicle auction house that some dealerships pay to store their excess inventory, the amount of the ridiculously overpriced F150 Lightnings that have been sitting in place since I started working there has been shocking but not too surprising
Price (seriously overpriced), gas mileage, dependability... Like the first two examples... I think they are quite nice, but seriously, who are they for? Would you pay $80k+ for a truck designed for work and abuse? Only if mandatory for the job. The Jeep is amazing, but at that price and gas mileage, full pass, and with the prices increases you mention, full pass each year of increase.
I have a 2013 Lexus RX 450. I wouldn't buy a later model because they almost all have gone turbo. Many more problems with turbo. My RX has done only 113000 kilometres without fault. I think the main thing is that any car needs to be maintained and serviced regularly. That is the key if you want problem free driving for years. Also the way you drive. If you drive like a lunatic then I guess you could be paying more for problems arriving as a result. I wouldn't touch a Chinese care. They look nice on the outside but are prone to breakdowns including their EV's.
I’ve bought VWs for years. Reliability, safe and durable. Just slamming the door tells me they’re solidly built. And, they don’t rust. I have a 2014 Passat Turbo Diesel that lives in a cold climate where roads are heavily salted. No rust. Almost looks like new. Every model I’ve owned had great handling. And the price tag, great. Last year I purchased a 2023 Jetta GLI for $32,000. Purchased after I watched driving pros maneuvering the GLI on the “Tail of the Dragon “ in North Carolina. They stated that the Jetta GLI was the “best handling “ car in its class and above its class on this treacherous highway. So, I made my decision. Why pay more for “status “ when you can get reliably for a cheaper price?
Volkswagens are junk and always have been especially know that they are making them in mexico, they dont last past 100k miles and if they do get ready to spend a fortune repairing it
I'm my country, 80% of the luxury and modern vehicles are from car sales that dealers drive around to keep the engine working. Only like 20 people can afford these vehicles
I just got done shopping cars and it’s a shit show right now. With the trend in prices I think that owning a car is going to be like owning a house in the future.
It’s. Shame so many people that don’t own Teslas have such range anxiety. I have a model three and get up every morning to a full battery and have put 68,000 miles on it in 2.5 yrs. Meanwhile ice owners have to drive to a station and wait while it fills, and listen to audible pump advertisements and get out their credit cards to pay five times as much per mile for energy.
These car makers throw models out there hoping people will buy them. Instead of building vehicles that people actually want or need. If something costs $100K why would they be scratching their heads wondering why they aren't selling.
How was the 2023 Arteon not on this list? I bought my 2023 fully loaded for 53,000. They are now selling for 37,000 NEW as 2023 models. Basically I’m now 15,000 underwater. I thought it was an amazing car full of technology and great features and worth its price but I guess not everyone is a VW fanboy.
I will never buy a new car or truck. I own a 1986 GMC. Pick up and a 1994 Mustang GT. Both which I can repair. Gas powered vehicles are better than E V

If I won the lottery with a million dollars, I would buy a cheap Toyota Corolla hybrid. 😂
Wait times for those are measured in months. Toyota is really awful about marketing cars you can't test drive or buy this year.
I seriously doubt you would do that. You are way more likely to buy expensive cars, boats and houses, and then go bankrupt.
I'd get a new Supra. Wait, I already have one!
That would make you an eccentric almost millionaire.
The Jag does not look like a Jag, Sellantis WAY over prices it's product, Ram and Jeep are so overpriced it's nuts.
And they’re all unreliable garbage.
Jeep is relying on it's brand heritage reputation, all they are now are Fiats, and Fiat has NEVER had a tough, reliable vehicle reputation.
Kia and Hyundai are killing it…….
The Jeep gladiator was a good test ride. My buddy had one as a rental and it is definitely an awesome vehicle for at least one day. I can't speak past that lol.
I bought a 2022 Cadillac XT6 two weeks ago, I am happy.
I hope so after 2 weeks it should not have broken yet.
Cadillac and 2 weeks ago. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jaguar will also discontinue the XE, F-Type, E-Pace, and I-Pace, basically leaving them with only one model left.
Acura can put a 1Liter 3_cylinder engine in the ZDF to extend its range. People will never need to worry about dead batteries.
the old ZDX was so ahead of its time. Its a shame more people didn't buy it
i agree, but that grill, ohhh that grill...
Soon They may be sold at manufacturing price
plus 0% for 60 or 72 months
Agreed!
Not as long as there are dealers involved. I support manufacturer direct sales and financing.
@@1stgentree18 Soon to be 180 months, aka 15 years. Like a house.... because with the prices between the vehicle and the insurance, you will be living in your car, because you can't afford rent.
If the zdx was 30k it would move like hot cakes
Once the new Dodge Charger Daytona EV gets released, I forsee that being one of the top of the list. The base model will be almost $70k, and the Scat Pack will be $84k.
All for a 3 ton electric "muscle car" with subpar performance and well as a poor estimated range
The Hornet’s not American. It’s an alpha Romeo I think. No thanks!
Alfa Romeo.
I have a 2005 expedition with 125,000 miles and runs like a champ.
Interesting/informative/entertaining.
The Acura shocks me. It’s beautiful
If the Acura was really an Acura it would sell better. Currently it's just another GM POS.
GM vehicles have been just as reliable and often more so than Honda in the past few years. This isn't the Honda of 20 years ago we're talking about today.
@@Spocker93delusional comment. General motors has always been garbage. They didn't go bankrupt for nothing

@@marianoherrera6038 They went bankrupt because in the past decades, there was a pensioned retiree to worker ratio of 3-5 to 1. The US Big Three were the best vehicles in the world until unions squeezed them for everything they had.
When foreign competition ramped up, there was little money for engineering, innovation and high quality parts when GM/Ford/Chrysler had to maintain pension funds many times higher than their stock market cap. So yes, when the Japanese showed up in force, the Big Three were decimated, learn some history. It was cool for the 17 year old who became a factory worker who retired at 47 and made more money in retirement than working (30 and out).

@@2steaksandwiches665 Are you a bot? This video is about the top 10 vehicles which are not selling.
An ongoing problem for 4 years? And Dodge let that problem continue? What a shame.
Etron in the French language means turd😂😂😂
I have 98 Ford Ranger and a 2004 Toyota Highlander no problems with either of them. No desire for anything newer 🤘🏽
We drove past a Penna dealer with used Jeeps and Broncos and the windsheild prices were $45,000 55,000 some 59,000
No, just no way
Get rid of the "hearse " trim on the ZDX and it will probably sell better.
So happy to see that my car was not on this list. 😅
This is why I have a Rav 4 and a Prius. I'm good for at least the next 2 decades.
I'm surprised the electric Ford Mustang did not make this list. There is over a year supply of it on dealer lots.

@christopherduncan5276 but its not his fault that they are overpriced and undersold

I agree. For me it's either Honda or Toyota. Forget the rest. And that's a shame, because back in the 60s & 70S my parents and I were a Chevy family. Very well built cars back then.
What is a “Jag wire “😂
In 1970s there's a joke we knew someone with two identical Jaguars, one he drove and one he kept for spare parts . British ,French and Italuan cars are all known for their poor reliability and RUST-PRONE we call them RUST BUCKETS in Canada 🇨🇦

This is my first time hearing about the electric ZDX. What a shame too because the last version in the video looked nice. But being associated with GM would give pause.
The Dodge Hornet would sell like hell with lowered price down to 30-32.000 $.
It would need to be even lower than that. Maybe more like starting at $26k
20 thousand
it's a $15k car
I'd buy one for 5 bucks 😭
I've been an auto mechanic for around 35 years. I won't even work on a Chrysler or Jeep. They're junk.
What wrong with Jeep? How about late model Jeep Wrangler
@@RobimusPrime Jeep has a lot of tranny & electrical problems.
Those Jeep Rubicon’s are going in the mid 70’s around here. High prices for junk. And I drove jeeps for 30 years. Not the same since sold.
How do you calculate how many days of supply you have with the number of vehicles
The ZDX is gorgeous but partnering with GM will be it's downfall. Premium but not premium. Even the steering wheel is basically off a Blazer EV.
Acura ZDX sold so poorly, this is the first time i'm even hearing that it existed.
It’s not actually an Acura, it’s a rebadged Cadillac Lyric. People must be wise to that info since it’s not selling well.
They may not be selling but dealers in Canada still refuse to sell less than full MSRP
Seeing Acura at the top is a VERY large surprise.
Planned obsolescence comes back to haunt manufacturers, the brand itself is the reason they're not selling. EV doesn't even fit in 8 years max down the road 25 k to 40 k battery packs no way.
8:26 the base model for the Dodge hornet witch is the GT model starts at about $31,500 not 46k
46k is the highest model witch is the r/t plus
3. Dodge Hornet at over $40K is ridiculous. I wonder who prices these models with delusional numbers.
That's ridiculous. I've seen a grand total of ONE Hornet on the road in over a year since its release.

They're all pretty nice compared to my first car: a rusted, well-used 1964 Corvair. But it only cost me $200, and allowed me to drive to work & school, and eventually afford nicer, more reliable vehicles.
My 24 mazda cx5 isn't on the list and I love that.
Stellantis will be on this list a lot. Just guessing.
News flash. ……. compact SUV are the most popular selling SUV’s.

Yup, the EVs are packed with electronics that consume electrical energy. Seems silly.
Try to realize this is just someone’s opinion. I have a Kia and I am happy with it.
Some of these prices are nuts
The numbers on the ZDX don't seem to make sense because it was just released. I don't see how they have any sales numbers on it
Price (seriously overpriced), gas mileage, dependability...
I thought for sure the Ford Bronco would be on his list.
Great list and you made me laugh 😂😂 with your witty comments.
Good job 👍
I have a 2013 Lexus RX 450. I wouldn't buy a later model because they almost all have gone turbo. Many more problems with turbo. My RX has done only 113000 kilometres without fault. I think the main thing is that any car needs to be maintained and serviced regularly. That is the key if you want problem free driving for years. Also the way you drive. If you drive like a lunatic then I guess you could be paying more for problems arriving as a result. I wouldn't touch a Chinese care. They look nice on the outside but are prone to breakdowns including their EV's.
Incidently my Lexus is a hybrid. A PLUS
They have very poor reliability reviews
Volkswagens are junk and always have been especially know that they are making them in mexico, they dont last past 100k miles and if they do get ready to spend a fortune repairing it
Feel free to add chapters?!
I read in other articles saying EV sales are booming. I guess this video proves otherwise.
That might be the plan.
Audi is shutting down the plant that makes the eTrons. A great opportunity to buy a collector's item?
How was the 2023 Arteon not on this list? I bought my 2023 fully loaded for 53,000. They are now selling for 37,000 NEW as 2023 models. Basically I’m now 15,000 underwater. I thought it was an amazing car full of technology and great features and worth its price but I guess not everyone is a VW fanboy.
What’s a Jagwire?
I will never buy a new car or truck. I own a 1986 GMC. Pick up and a 1994 Mustang GT. Both which I can repair. Gas powered vehicles are better than E V
