my face is literally exploding right now --- CASSIE PLEASE TRY AN ACTUAL KOREAN CUSHION THEY ARE CHEAPER AND A GOD SEND. The etude house any cushion is like.. 12 dollars on amazon and straight up GUCCI!
I've also tried the iope one, which arguably, is more expensive... but with BOTH of them you can buy REFILL CARTRIDGES for mega cheap. like, 5-6 dollars CHEAP. DO IT. DO IT.
+Alexandra Mangam ALSO -- the sponges are almost all this universally AWESOME blue cushion thats borderline velvety to keep the sponge from absorbing all the product and apply it perfectly.

+abunchahooey cushion foundations are mainly for normal to dry skin types, which is why they have liquid highlighters and moisturizers mixed into the formula.
+abunchahooey that's not to say that there aren't formulas for oily / combo skin!! You just have to search! Iope came out I wth a matte version of their cushion xp but there are a ton!!!

I like Physicians formula because they are cruelty free and organic.... But they are a little expensive
I get so excited when you come out with a new video, I have been suffering with psoriasis and problem skin for 1 1/2 yrs, it used to be all over my scalp so I haven't been able to color my hair in almost a year and a half .. but the plus side is that I have been able to rock my natural color & wavy hair, and seeing how beautiful and natural you are, your approach to makeup and health issues like anxiety (which I also battle) really inspires me to get up and get my face on to meet every new day!! so thank you for making these lovely videos. your now my #1 beauty guru

I just ordered the IT cosmetics deal of the day on qvc and they now have one of these. It came with a cushion foundation, a refill, a blush, a lipstick and 2 brushes for 62 bucks. I've never used IT cosmetics or cushion foundation so I hope I like it!!!!! I love your videos Cassie I look forward to them so much. You're my favorite!!!
I literally went right to riteaid and bought this while watching your review"Cassie made me buy it and now im gonna try it"lol...i know it wasnt your fav but i needed a lighter coverage and have been eyeing it for awhile(i got 9 dollar mail in rebate but im also platinum member at riteaid so i paid 13.95 and had 10.00 in plenti points...totally worth it)imo. i have had it on since 11:45a.m its 6:47 and i love the way it looks and feels...i did put rimmel stay matte powder and had to blot once but on my "good skin"days this is fabulous.I just love your reviews so much...i dt i'll get the lumi one though it just doesnt appeal to me.But seeing how nice it made ur skin look is what prompted me mid video to go get it....Thank you.

I loved your review! Btw, I feel like we have a very similar skin tone and skin type, and I highly recommend that you try E.L.F.'s Studio Acne Fighting Foundation in the shade Ivory. It has amazing coverage, doesn't break me out, and keeps my oily skin under control!

btw about cleaning those cushions puffs... when i used korean ones (which i definitely suggest) i just kept them till the actual cushion runs out... i haven’t even cleaned them lol it may sound gross but they did their job just fine 😬

my problem with Physicians Formula is that their light shades run a little too neutral/orange for me; i have yellow undertones and I'm very fair (normally the lightest of the light of everything), and even Physicians Formula light is too dark for me. Which sucks cause it's a great product line.
+Mattie Harris yeah it definitely did/does lean a bit on the orange side :( I wish P.F. would extend their shade ranges when it comes to foundations!!! Three shades is NEVER ENOUGH!
Ive got the exact same problem as you😩 pale with yellow undertones sucks because I find most foundations in the uk that claim to be pale or porcelain are too pink or pink undertones😒
I loveeee cushion foundations!! Just the concept of it to me is sooo cute and if you’re one of those that touch up, u can take this along with you and not worry about spillage probs. I like to apply them with a brush though I think the sponge deposits too much product, but with. Brush or sponge, u can control it Tfs ❤❤

As for this review: that foundation looked stunning on you right off the bat but BOO to the oiliness at the end! I don't think there will ever be a cushion foundation for us oil slicks.
You can return it to Target regardless if you have ripped the box or not. It's all good!

I've never had any luck with Physician's Formula products. The tout themselves as being hypoallergenic, but I've had reactions to their blushes (which have essential oils in some of them) and their face powders are terrible quality. I've never tried any of their foundations and this is not quite convincing me to do so!
I love this foundation it hides my pores I did a tutorial using it to hide my pores ...but I do have dry skin ... I loved the video !

Hey Cassie! I love your videos so much! I've used Korean cushion foundations before and I have some tips about the puff. (Hopefully these puffs are similar). For my Korean Iope cushion, I was told to not wash it because it has antibacterial properties. But I was scared and started washing more often. There are different ways and the suggested way is to use a ziplock and put some cleaning oil, soap and water in and then massage the sponge until clean. But I don't think it works all that well so I usually use a VERY gentle bar soap (fragrance free preferred) to clean it. The biggest tip is to be gentle and not rip the sponge. (It doesn't apply well if it gets too worn) I hope this helps :P
hey girl! keep us updated on if you like it for casual wear~ sometimes if i have to pop into work or go to the grocery store and i dont wanna get allll dolled up...this seems like itd be good for that. did it gather in your smile lines? thats another thing i like luminous, light foundations for cos they tend to gather less than a thick, matte one. youre fab as always!
Yes Target takes returns on opened makeup. I just took back a mascara that I didn't like.

The manufactures expect some returns since there is no way you can be sure an item is going to work for you. It may not be the right shade or wear right for you or something. Also the mark up is extraordinary.

Glad I stumbled across this video was curious of this foundation. Also I saw a trick for us oily to combo ladies after primer use a translucent powder in your tzone and then foundation as usual kinda like a prebake I guess I haven't tried it yet but makes sense maybe you could try it in a video 😁

I tried one of these cushion foundations through IPSY a couple summers ago. The brand was called lagiage (sp?) and I think it was originally from Korea. They sell it at Target now and I absolutely loved it but it was over $30 and I never wanted to pay that much for foundation. So I think I might try this stuff since I'm already a fan of physician formula. It made your skin look great!
Agreed on trying the Asian BB Cushions/creams though (someone commented below)! Rose Rose Shop would be great since the prices are in USD there's no $ exchange rate and the BB Cushions cater to people who are on the paler side since most Asian women wear SPF religiously, tan skin isn't much of a thing unless it's natural. I do love your videos, appreciate the close-ups!

I have the exact same suspicion. I got this yesterday and even though I'm enjoying it so far, i'm gonna fill the cushion up with my remaining bb cream when the original stuff runs out, just so I have a cuter dispenser. .45 Oz is a laughable amount to pay $17 for, sure, but I think you pay more for the cute container and the convenience of on the go application
I agree, this looks like it would be good for dry skin. It also looks like something more suitable for summertime possibly. But, i think if you are looking for something lightweight that gives a nice sheen, it looks like you may get more of a bang for your buck with a BB/CC cream/tinted moisturizer. +luckyelyce hmmmmm honestly I'd say the L'Oreal one would be better for dry skin but I think this one from PF is able to be built up to a more medium coverage.... sorry that that's not very helpful :(

I live in Canada so they're about $20-$25 depending on where I buy them... which seems crazy to me, but I am intrigued regardless of the price. 😊

I'm normally not that into sheer coverage, but these cushions are amazing, they look so beautiful on the skin. Special mention to La Neige! You should try the concealer, it's really good!
Cassie, do you have a sonic cleansing brush? Like a clarisonic or soniclear? I'm having trouble deciding whether they're really worth it. Also, if you're really interested in cushion foundations I personally recommend the ones by Innisfree!

You've a new subscriber:) I would suggest putting on a face powder (I love Rimmel's Matte pressed powder as it works really well) in the areas where your skin is more oily over the foundation. I typically have oily skin on my forehead, nose, around my mouth, and chin area. It absorbs this oil and 'mattifies' it well. I really like how this foundation suites you (unfortunately it's too light for my skin tone). If you put a little powder in those areas I think you will be fine for the rest of the day. Thank you Cassie! I have combo skin so I don't think this foundation will hold up well on my t-zone. That being said, I'm still buying one and throw it in my gym bag just in case I need to meet someone after work out. At least it is compact and convenient.
I have extremely oily skin, even not wearing makeup I have to heavily blot at least 3 times a day. This foundation is dewy, but with a good primer and a mattifying powder it actually is PERFECT. This is purely my take, ofcourse. I picked it up for the packaging but the color fit me perfectly and it is now a foundation I swear by. I don't wear it on days I will be working out or anything, but to work and errands and even special occasions, this is a beautiful and glowy, light foundation. I wear glasses as well, and it does slip occasionally. I didn't really see a difference in blotting, I didn't have to do it anymore than I did with other foundations. Even ones that claim to keep the shine away. I was happy to see you review this! I thought it made your skin look ravishing!
May I ask what primer & mattifying powder did you use? Sorry I know I'm late lol, I'm just very curious because I really want to buy this foundation but idk if I should :/
+ac xotwod I used the smashbox photo ready primer and sometimes also used the nuetrogena mattifying primer in my t zone.
The powder I used was the Rimmel London stay matter powder. Hope that helps! :)

If anything you can find a site that sterilizes and resells your makeup or you can use this as a light weight concealer, which I do around my nose and eyes when I am wearing a different foundation because I like how this looks on/in my pours. Very airbrushed!

I have a super great T zone and the rest of my skin is so dry. But I actually use The Body Shop Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion(suitable for blemished skin) as my everyday lotion and I don't get oily and it doesn't make my skin dry and patchy either. But you should def. try. I have tried a ton of dewy foundation and I don't get oily at all! It's amazing!!!

I started using this also and I have a very light complexion like you. I feel like their light is still way too dark and makes my skin awkward lol. I also watched to make sure I was applying it correctly & it just seems it's not the right one for me. your videos are great btw!

+mantra4ia lol well it's not allllllways that clear... you'll see in an upcoming video that I'm actually in a pretty bad skin state myself right now (yayyyyy hormones!)!! ^^; You can get through it though! We both can!! I really do think that cutting out meat and nearly cutting out all dairy has been a BIG help with my skin though so maybe try that? Even just cutting out little things here and there to start?

Thanks for the review! AND... any reputable makeup seller will return or exchange makeup if it doesn't work for you. You don't need the packaging-just the receipt. They understand the seals are broken and you've used it. I got my PF cushion foundation (and happened to love it) from Fred Meyer, where I've returned cosmetics that didn't' work for me before. Sometimes you get a person who doesn't know that they are supposed to accept used makeup if it didn't work for you, but that's why I shop drugstore makeup at Ulta-who will always accept your used (not finished-that's the key) makeup if it didn't work for you.
Sorry this didn't work for you-I loved it! I have oily/combo skin, and just used a mattifying primer underneath, because I love luminous finishes.

I found it today at Kmart. no money off. I paid $20.99 but it was worth the money.
I have seborrheic dermatitis and foundation or concealer is a no go. have you ever seen patchy nasty cases of psoriasis? yea it looks like that so if I use concealer or foundation on my face it looks like huge patches, dries my skin, and then it peals off my face.
long story short after wasting money for years trying I finally found a foundation I can use and it's this one on "light" because I'm very fair/light skinned and it's amazing

Hi! I think this trend of cushions are just a waste of money because there's half less product for double the cost. And mainly they are not for normal to oily skin.
Plus its unsanitary in my point of view

+chulalula Frost Usually you receive an extra case of product. I don't know if you have only tried western cushions, but if you try the asians ones, the original ones, there are TONS of options, even for normal to oily skin. It just depends on how dark your skin tone is, since the color ranges are quite small.
+Emily Mckenzie Totally agree!! it grosses me put knowing new bacteria gets introduced to the cushion with every use/re-dip with the sponge :/ it's a total bacteria breeding ground in there!

it got a bit oily but after blotting it still looked so amazing!! I feel like it really blended so easily into the skin, unlike a lot of compact makeup. what worries me is the fact that you have to keep going back and forth with the sponge into the makeup from the face.... like.... bacteria?!? ew(x probably great for normal to dry skin.
Cassie loved the video, if I can I'd like to let you in on a few products I've been using for a couple of months that actually help control my oil really good. it's the neutrogena shine control primer & powder. they keep md matte for a longer time then usual. because you have oily skin maybe you'd like to try them out :)

I don't know if anyone's asked you this before, but you should try/review/test out the nivea post shave balm in sensitive as a primer. There's a lot of hype about it and I tried it and loved it. I was pretty impressed and it's a lot cheaper than the primers I do have! What I do is my normal moisturizer, the balm (about two coats), let it dry, then rest of make up and boom that stuff stays put! Maybe you'll like it too!
It looks really good! Way better than I was expecting! It has such a GORGEOUS finish on you! I really like it on your skin :D But I can totally understand the problems of an oily girl :P :D

Cassie this is the very best foundation I've ever seen on you in any video period. Wow! Try it with the new benefit matte primer or MUFE mattify info primer and I think it would be HG status!
