Genius. Only Wayne. So refreshing to see someone on YT who embraces the older beauty community instead of ignoring it and catering only to the younger viewers. Thanks Wayne. This is why we love you
I'm now 85 with many lines and deep wrinkles and you have helped me many times not to make things look worse but helped me understand make up. Love you always, thank you.
He's also anti-drama. I can't begin to explain how rare that is in the YT beauty world, especially amongst top-tier professionals. We all know Wayne's far more than a mere make-up artist/beauty guru/influencer.
Except Wayne is genuinely, supremely talented. 💖Thank you, Wayne for talking to us "older" gals rather than treating us like we're invisible.❤️❤️We can't hold onto 25 forever, however we all want to look, and feel, our best.
While this is an old video I just have to make a comment! I’ve been blessed with flawless skin and I’m learning to embraced the aging changes of my aging 60 years young complexion. I have very dark circles and fair skin and concealing is a nightmare for me. I thought it was my products It’s not my products, it was technique! I walked into work and first thing I was met was that I must’ve caught up on my sleep or you look wide awake and the coveted, what is your secret❤ One simple change has boosted how I feel about looking in the mirror. My soul needed this as I rejoin life after fighting cancer and the sudden death of my partner. I don’t expect you to see this response but should you or another mature lady reads this know that this simple thing has changed how I feel! Wayne, I’m sure you received a million comments but know this one comes from a healing broken heart and has changed everything about how I feel when I walk away from the mirror.
I LOVE that Wayne will just teach you all you need to know in ten minutes or less. Just pure info, no frills, no catchphrases, just me getting my makeup act together one step at a time.
Those "influencer ladies" are only out for the money. They use filters etc to make themselves look unrecognizable. In the real world they don't look like that. Wayne really tries to help. ❤
I just discovered Wayne Goss and I LOVE him! Most make up videos are tailored to GenZers but Wayne does a lot of videos for mature skin. I'm so grateful and I love his tips!!
All my life I applied concealer all around my eyes and wondered why they looked so sunken . You are the only person who had spoken about it. Thanks a ton.
I'm getting ready to start a new job and wanted to have a little bit of makeup and when I went to play around with what I would wear, I was like WHAT is going on with my eyes?!?!?! I mean, I'm over 50, but still!!!! Now I know... So glad I found this video!
I think different things work for different people. People raved about banana-powder a few years ago yet it did nothing for me, being pale and cooler undertone!! Not all tips work for everyone. Some things Wayne has said have worked for me and others haven't so much. It's trial and error I think.
Holy Moly! This technique was a total game changer for me!! This and your hooded eye tutorials!! Even my husband noticed and remarked, "Are you doing something different with your eye makeup? Your eyes look really beautiful." Thank you Wayne! I so appreciate your HONEST and REALISTIC approach to makeup! ;)
Thanks. It is so interesting to see a guy apply makeup. I am guilty of putting on too much concealer as I have really bad dark circles. I've tried everything so maybe this will help! Thanks.
It's so refreshing to have you demonstrating your techniques with no drama, all while being professional. Thank you! You make all the other beauty gurus look like kids!
No they REALLY are kids! And frankly those of us starting to experience aging effects are taking advice from teenagers who have never had to deal with our current situation! And then we wonder why we look like the crypt-keeper when we're done with their 22 step tutorials! I LOVE this guy bc he is SO real and kind and accepting!
Just have to say, you were one of the first beauty youtubers I ever watched, and I'm still here over 10 years later seeking your videos out for the BEST beauty tips. I truly don't think any other influencer is as wonderful, and actually HELPFUL as you. You are such a treasure in the beauty community!! Much love
7:01..."my whole face is literally falling off..". Lol Wayne....I love how in tune and human you are with us, your fans. I learn something new even when I rewatch and rewatch your awesome videos. I'll tell my clients to subscribe. You're awesome!
As a 45 yo with Aallllll of the wrinkles I always look forward to these videos. I can’t always afford to support with buying your products but I always try & comment, like every video & watch every advert. You are just the kindest & wisest sole on this platform 🥰
I’ve tried this technique the past 2 days. At first I felt like I didn’t have enough concealer on. But as the day went on I got used to it and noticed I looked fresh and less tired. At the end of the day, I didn’t notice my wrinkles as much as I usually do bc they weren’t accentuated with concealer that had settled into them. Thanks for the reminder that often less is more!
Awesome to see makeup for aged skin that isn't on a face that's full of fillers and Botox. So many of us older women are completely natural. love your videos!
I love you, Lisa Eldridge, and all the MUAs who teach restraint and finesse. "Thin layers", "pinpointing", "only where it's needed" are not things that many so-called "makeup gurus" encourage, but it's exactly what most of us need. Thank you.
Why do you have to put down other people to try to complement someone why not just complement them Everybody preferences are different it doesn’t make them wrong or so-called make up gurus I hope you’re not an adult with that immature type of opinion
@Utriedit215 Whoa, Nelly! I didn't put anyone down! "Guru" is not an appellation anyone could seek, so it's risible that makeup artists happily take that hat off the hook and wear it.
I can’t even watch you put the brush that close to your eyes. I wish I could figure out what to do. My eyes spontaneously redden, water and itch, no matter what I do with eye makeup
@mrsmacca126 What brand are you using? Sounds like allergies. Maybe you shuld try a more hypoallergenic line such as Almay, Neutrogena, or Clinique. Make certain your brushes are immaculately clean, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend something for allergies if necessary. You may even be allergic to the brushes themselves if made of animal hair and need to switch to synthetic. Good luck!
@@mrsmacca126 I agree with the recent comment: you may be allergic to the color products (talc is problematic for many reasons, and bismuth is an allergen for some people, as is mica for other). You might also be reacting to the material of your brushes or to the soap you use to clean them. Eliminate one thing at the time and see if you find a pattern.
I know this video is one year old, but thank you! I am turning 58 next week & I’ve had to totally revamp my make up routine because what I’ve always done isn’t working anymore. Your videos are my new go-to for learning how to change my routines as I age. I appreciate your knowledge & professionalism in delivering these videos to us. Thank you so much! xo
When I watch people beat their face and just know that I would look 10 years older with that much pancake on (I say pancake as a ballerina, that’s just what we called any skin tone face makeup, whether liquid or powder) I just wish I could wear it! Honestly even in my 20s I felt like skin covering makeup just highlighted my texture in the worst way and I’ve always just kinda done lashes brows and lippie
A million years ago when I first started to wear concealer, I'd always only put it in the corner of my eye like Wayne does in the video. Then social media came along and MU-influencers ruined it 😂 I never even gave the idea, of putting concealer in such a large area under the eye, a second thought on why that is necessary. Getting chunky apple cheeks when smiling, my eyes certainly don't look any bigger when cracking up 😂 Never had any problems with dark circles either. So now, going on 40, I'm so going back to how I use to do it and follow Wayne's advise!
THIS is incredible advice and I am going to try it right now. I am 45 years old and am learning EVERY tip and trick I can from you Mr. Goss. I think you are just amazing.
This video was excellent at showing me how to correctly apply my concealer. I totally agree with you concerning not applying concealer all the way up to the eyelash line. It really does make the eye look smaller. I love watching your videos, always learn something new, and look forward to many more visits with you. Thanks Wayne, for always showing us the correct way of doing things. You are the best!
This is why we love you. There are so many products that people swear by that just don't work for me. My skin is just too sensitive. It is why I prefer your techniques because the less product i use the less the chance of irritation. I also am a minimalist so that too.
I have been doing this for years and thinking I was just bad at putting on makeup. It often felt like I created more issues than I was helping, if I put on more concealer. The exact issues he described/showed on his right side are why I started decreasing amount and area I applied concealer to. THANK YOU! That was so validating!!
Just discovered you and want to leave a thank you from Germany! Not only the make up ideas are great, your speech is beautiful and so respectful towards us (aging) viewers…
What stands out most to me is how much smaller your right eye looks. It is so helpful when you do the half-face tutorial so we can really see the difference. I’ll be changing the way I use concealer from now on. Thank you very much.
Which is why using makeup to make the eye to look bigger is great. I have small eyes and am a big fan of the "aegyo sal" lower eyelid shadowing and subtle highlighting, though with my deepset eyes I don't really have to do the shadowing part, just the subtle shimmer. Makes your eye look so much bigger, more sculpted, and can bring a bit more of an eye-squinch look to your neutral face depending on how you do it. (Though recently the trend has seemed to not make it subtle anymore but just pop, which I don't know if I will ever get into.)
I've been doing this for the last 12 years, since I turned 40. I don't have a lot of wrinkles but your eyes DO crinkle when you smile, and with my dry skin I noticed concealer would settle in those crinkles and really make me look like I had more wrinkles than I do. I'm SO glad to see this technique reinforced by a respected professional!
I can 100% see the difference not only on you but on myself.. thank you for all your videos. Getting older and learning new concepts of applying makeup from your videos has helped greatly with keeping a more youthful and mature look! Thank you!!!
I can't believe that after all these years I am STILL learning new things from you. I never realised how the inner corner doesn't move at all. I will definitely try this technique!
Applying concealer at the inner corner not only counteracts the darkness but also draws attention to the smooth area (next to the bridge of the nose) and, consequently, away from the lined center and outer corners. Thanks so much for this simple, sensible and effective concealer strategy! 😘💗
You made this just for me -- lol--- I have never had dark under my eyes but felt I was supposed to use concealer. Don't ask me why. Now I can stop. Thank you.
Hi I am 41 year old Indian with dark undereye and have recently tried my hands on concealer. Also, I am new to make up. This video gave me a logical view and hence I went ahead tried it for a wedding look. Trust me, it made my eye pop up with no extra show off. It looked subtle. Thank you so much
I'm one of those unlucky folks with darkness all the way across. I use a color corrector and a little bit of concealer to improve it. You were the first RUclipsr that I saw that advised to just correct the very dark parts and conceal with the smallest amount of product. I've learned so much from you. There is no product that will take my dark circles away, but at least I won't be asked if I'm ill all day. People will just ask if I'm tired. :)
Research fillers or anything to do with the eyes carefully before proceeding. It's a delicate area to mess with and in extreme situations it can damage the eye area or even cause blindness. Not worth it.
Me too. I just turned 40 and my dark circles go all the way across. I have really fine lines around the outside of my eyes, but my concealer makes them so much worse.
Absolutely amazing demo! I am a black woman and have been applying concealer all wrong... making my eyes look smaller then working smokey liner to make it look big again... WTF! So much work!!! You've simplified my morning by 15 minutes!Sooo grateful!!!
Oh my goodness thank you!!!!! I’m 68 and I have tried countless concealers trying to find one that won’t creep into the fine lines and wrinkles and nothing I mean nothing has worked for me. I love your technique ♥️
Using my cousin's account just to say: as a portrait artist the 'inner eye corner' is a key feature to augment when 'complimenting' a person's appearance in the portrait. And I do exactly what you describe. As for my own eye wrinkles? They remind me of my whole family, my siblings and parents and yes cousins too...we all have the same crinkly eye and I LOVE them!
I love thinking of you using concepts here in your art. I am an amateur artist, and yes, I find that stuff I learn in art videos changes my makeup routine, and stuff I learn in makeup videos, particularly Wayne's, affects my drawings/paintings. And I think crinkly eyes means you and your family must smile a lot! What could be better?
I was using concealer like that for years because ever tutorial did the same. Looking back at older pictures I looked atrocious. You can really see it in pictures. Darn, what was I thinking? Less is better and placement. Thank you Wayne, for sharing your knowledge, you genuinely like what you do & care about your followers
When he started talking about his face falling off it made me think of the 'drunk irish soup guy' video here on youtube. To this day it's the funniest thing I've ever seen that I related to so strongly and how some days everything just seems to go wrong. I bet I've watched that video 100 times...🤣And for Wayne, of all days, this was not the day his face should be falling off.
Thank you for discussing skin types and not telling people that this should work for everyone. I especially like that you talked about a product not working for you but still being a great product. People forget that everyone does not have the same skin!
Thank you for saying that ALL foundations & concealers emphasize fine lines. The "mature" beauty influencers all seem to wear concealer and powder under their entire eye area, which looks great on camera, but... for me, in real life, looks wrinkly and super "made up." I thought I didn't have the magic touch or the right product. Now I know!
I really appreciate that he said that! I wish people understood this when doing other types of “Yelp” reviews! They don’t get it and can destroy a good business or product and don’t care if they do!
@@IceSk8Princessa12 I completely agree! Everyone's skin is different, and just because a product doesn't work for one person, that doesn't mean it's an objectively awful product or a rip-off. The same goes for any product/business that just might not be the right fit for a specific person. Of course, this isn't to say that there aren't scammy businesses and products out there, but I wish people would take a second to consider all of the factors before trashing a company on social media or screaming at poor customer service agents.
@@scifydi6446 I wish I could like this comment a hundred times more! TO's peeling solution is a fantastic product, but such a strong exfoliant is not going to be a necessity for the majority - in fact, it can do the opposite and create damage if you use it recklessly!
Fabulous video. I’m older and use less and less foundation and concealer because I thought, this highlights my laughter lines more than when I don’t have any makeup on. So I thought I must be doing something wrong. Went to a makeup artist who said you don’t need foundation your skin is amazing, I am blessed with great skin and hardly any wrinkles, so I just use a tint, bronzer, eyeshadow etc I wish I’d seen this video ages ago. Makes perfect sense. Off to a do tonight so will do as you have said. Thank you so much for this. 🙏🏼
I’ve generally used the “V” application for concealer, because I had severe dark circles due to undiagnosed hypothyroidism. Since getting my health under control, my circles have definitely decreased to barely noticeable. However, I continued to use the V concealer. I’m excited to try this application out, Thank you!
This is what I've been doing lately intuitively! I am only in my early 30s but my makeup routine for the past year or so has just been a bit of contour, a bit of eye shadow, and lip gloss, as a face full of makeup just feels like too much. But lately I've wanted to deal with the under eye darkness so started with a tiny bit of concealer right under the inner corner of my eye and blending out under my lash line, and using a brush and a bit of powder to set it. I also always put a little highlight of a yellow white shimmer in my inner eye corner to brighten as well :)
Thank you Wayne. I have just skipped using concealer because it made those under eye wrinkles stand out. I am so glad I found you...nobody talks frankly about age and u don't shy away...Thank you!!
OMG!!! You are so right! I am in that age range and have the EXACT same problem. As the day goes on the under eye wrinkles (from smiling) are magnified and this technique is a game changer with fixing it!!! Thank you so very much for all your tips, tricks and recommendations! Your complete honesty is much appreciated! I've dropped 100 lbs and love that you've provided me with the insight and advice to be the best version of me at any age and any size!
You have been my favorite makeup artist to watch or get tips from, since I first watched you 10 years ago. I just love your genuine nature and honesty.
After trying a billion concealers for my mature, dry under eyes Makeup Revolution’s $7.00 Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer looks the best on me. I like it more than their hydrating version too. Hope this little comment helps others.
I bought it when it first came out and was excited cause I have heard nothing but great reviews. Sorry this product didn't do anything for me, found it very drying.
Phenomenal as always, thank you Wayne for bringing simple make-up application back. I also appreciate you not bashing a skin product that did not work for you, it is the mark of a professional with integrity and ethics.
This makes so much sense! This explains exactly why I can’t stand cream concealers and why they e never worked well. I have never understood why. They always crease, plus my liner/mascara smudges into them, but mainly-they look smaller. Had stopped doing the triangle, but now will keep it minimally in the corner alone. Thanks, Wayne!! All the best.
Thank you for being the first person not to lie and say there’s a product that doesn’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles! It’s refreshing! I’m trying your concealer tip right now and loving it!
Wayne--I'm one of those with the hereditary dark circle that goes far around the lower eye. Could you do a video on the best way to use concealer or makeup if you have this problem? Thanks for all your help.
Or wants to!! I’m pretty useless with makeup, can never get it to ‘look right’ he takes the anxiety out of it for me. I watch Bailey Sarian on RUclips, shes fabulous, does the most amazing makeup, is def Insta makeup but has such a likeable personality that she’s a joy to watch.
I am by no means a professional MUA. But I will be doing my Sister’s make up for her wedding. This helps me immensely! Thank you Wayne! I am, unfortunately, one of those people with dark bags that come more than half way under my eye. I will be weighing my pro’s and con’s for this upcoming wedding. I’m 46, with very few wrinkles, and I want to look my absolute best. 💗
Go with her to a Smashbox or MAC store and have them demonstrate products that she likes. I did that before my own wedding and while I had my hair professionally done, I did my own makeup and loved the outcome. Ours was far from a budget wedding but makeup was one area that I felt more comfortable doing myself.
🙏🏻 Thank you! 55 next month and this has been my biggest struggle while trying to age gracefully. I respect your work and truly appreciate that it doesn’t come with all of the hype of marketing. Just honest , brilliant guidance from a pioneer in the crazy world of beauty.
I can’t say I’ve ever had a man teach me about opening up my eyes but there’s a first for everything. I am 60, small eyes and need all the eye lift and open I can get. This was very helpful!
I’m 38 and I struggle with creasing. I come here for help and it’s so refreshing to have someone explain all this stuff to me who is of an age to understand exactly how I feel about ageing.
This is so helpful for my dark under eye area! I have fine lines under my eyes and every under eye concealer tutorial I tried just emphasize those lines even more. I tried applying your concealer technique today and was surprise to see the result! Your method of focusing on the area where the skin don't move really helps with shifting away the attention from my fine lines. Thank you again so much!
I love how you apply such common sense, personal attention, and real care to your makup teaching. I can tell it comes from a place where you actually want to demystify beauty for regular people. Not sell your own products or get clients to come to you as a makup god (which you are). It just seems like you really care about people feeling and looking the best. Thank you!
I unfortunately have the dark circles that need more of that area corrected. That being said, I have been applying the Smallest bits of corrector and concealer since the start of the year. It has completely changed the way makeup looks for the better. It might not be as flawless but bc it isn’t so heavy and cakey, it looks and wears way better than ever before. I’m 36 now and hate that I just now started doing this. It horrifies me to think of the massive amounts of stuff I used to put on my face PLUS baking.
It never dawned on me to use this technique. Immediate difference! I'm 50 and my eyelids are starting to get a little heavy so I definitely do not want to make my eyes look smaller. Thank you Wayne!
This is amazing. Thank you! I just turned 30 and am noticing that my makeup has been accentuating my lines more and more. I look way more fresh-faced doing it this way- this is now my new concealer routine. 💕 you're the best!!
Wayne, sincere thanks for your expertise and authenticity. This is a a brilliant concealer technique and I will try it tomorrow with my 48 year “young”eyes. You are a class act that always brings significant knowledge to your community.
That was the best under eye concealer video I've seen. I'm trying to learn great techniques that I can try as I'm getting older. that I can't wait to try this technique. Your eye size in the two comparisons was so obvious. You were so right about how the full coverage side, the eye looked smaller.
Great tip Wayne. I will definitely give that a go. Just a heads up Aldi concealer is amazing. No cake. No lines. I am 69 years old. I’ve used about everything on the market since the 70s - I was shocked lol
@@unique_moniqueThey have amazing mascara too. They also do a ‘rip off’ 8 hour cream and pretend Clinique products. Their version of ‘flash balm’ is fab and approx £4. The packaging looks similar, I don’t know how they get away with it!

Wayne - I absolutely love you and your videos! Having unsuccessfully tried a new product the other day, I was literally just cursing the chunks of dried skin under my eyes. So refreshing to hear someone who is a professional complain about their face falling off too - def makes me feel like less of an idiot for trying something new.
As a teen, I'd spend hours playing with makeup and had a lot of fun with it. Now I'm 57 and gave up on makeup because my skin has gone to hell since my Lupus flared back up. But watching your tutorials has motivated me to play with makeup again, even if I rarely get out of the house these days. It cheers me up and I might as well use up my very outdated stuff because I definitely can't afford anything new. Thanks, Wayne!! ❤✌️🇨🇦
Yummy indeed!! I love how there is no exaggeration using caked on product, just a clear illustration of the difference. No agenda, no throwing of shade at products or dissing other techniques, just solid advice and all class ❤❤
I just told someone the other day that I love the way foundation evens out my skin tone, but I feel like it accentuates every wrinkle I have! So it's not my imagination...
I have the same problem! I also have freckles, so using foundation can look a bit strange on me. In the last year or so I've started just spot-correcting and it's made a huge difference.
It will vary between foundations so worth trying different types. In general, the expensive brands have better formulas that don't end up sinking into lines.
This is awesome Wayne. I rarely use foundation and recently ran out of my concealer. I do color correct due to darkness. Well after a week of trying so many concealers and color correctors I was fed up. It looked horrible. Tried 1 more peach corrector and applied it just like 👆🏽. My husband noticed immediately. He said your eyes look alive. That was enough for me. So my color corrector has now become my concealer.
@@atomicsushi1 you’ll never believe it. I’ve tried Becca, Ulta brand, LA pro, Urban Decay, and others. It’s Pixi of all things in Brightening Peach. I have several concealers but they all looked a mess.
I was trained for MAC cosmetics when the company was only 5 years old. I learned this technique but somehow forgot it after settling in (pun intended) to an over correcting application. Thanks for bringing this back to mind at an age of life when I definitely need it !
This is incredible. I’m trying tomorrow and I can already confidently say this will be how I forever do concealer for day to day wear. The older I get the less makeup I wear. It first started out of necessity due to lack of time. Now, if I have the time I still keep it simple. I subtly enhance my natural beauty and still feel my SKIN. Plus, I have 2 daughters and I don’t want them growing up watching me overdo makeup. But again, I have children, so brightening the under eye is KEY! Current makeup routine is spot concealing as minimally as needed, bit of bronzer (using way more spf as well as I age), a glowy delicate blush which I also put on eyelids, heavy coat of mascara, and a splash of long last lipstick. I use natural tones that just give the face a boost. Takes 3-5 minuets and washes off in a breeze! Edit: Highly recommend at home eyebrow dyeing (and eyelash if you’re feeling brave). Takes 10 minuets and no need to pencil them in for weeks! Plus, if there’s a day where you don’t even have 5 minuets for makeup, you’ll still look a bit put together💜
This is so similar to what I do too! I have a one year old and little time for makeup but I’ve been gradually reducing how much makeup I wear as I age. I love a cream blush which I use all over as well. Here’s to natural mum beauty 🙌🏼
@@evanotmendez- Hell yeah, we do it all and still manage to look good doing it! Also, random FYI, I love your name! Eva was our #3 girl name (after 2 family names). If we have a 3rd girl, we will alas get our Eva!
@@hippieandblue7413- I totally agree, full on makeup makes me see lines I didn’t even think were there! I’m sure it’s partially my fault on bad application techniques, haha. I recently watched a video of an Austrian esthetician (I believe) performing ‘brow lamination’ and it blew my mind! I think it was the most amazing brow before-and-after ever. Don’t know if they do it around here, but I have to look into it!
without a doubt the best ever video about concealer. Wayne uses facts, logic and he is technically astute. Best product wont work if you apply entire area under the eye. Smart. Thank you ! Precious
50 plus ..thanks Wayne...Alot of YT shows young make up, I tried the triangle concealer under the eye and contour and found it emphasized my fine lines, your magic trick in the corner totally worked. I think lighter make up looks better on older women...less is more. Thank you, keep up the magical illusion...
I am turning 38 this year and have been blessed with decent skin but the texture is not what it used to be. I stopped wearing make up for the reasons you stated. I am glad you keep it real and mature lol. We need more MUA's that deal with people over the age 25!!
your texture will get better as you age. I found in my late thirties and very early 40's my texture was bad, it was a hormonal thing. Im 45 now and my hormones are stabilizing as I go into menopause. I use progesterone cream on certain days of my cycle and this helps.
Wayne: Have you noticed that the inner corner of a newborn baby is so light and bright? My instinctual response: Yeah. Life hasn't sucked the soul out of them yet. I think I need to schedule a follow-up with my therapist. Lol
I love when I find a makeup artist channel that actually takes the time to break the proper way to do something down and shows you why & what happens... This guy a is gem !!! Subscribed !!
I have deep brown circles and double bags under one eye and a slightly smaller bag under the other eye. I have given up trying to do anything about them. I do have a caffeine stick that helps along with a couple of other products that help a bit. I used to be able to take a bit of attention away from the bags/circles by playing up my big lashes and dark eyebrows. LOL, now with thyroid disease I have almost no brows or lashes and what I do have are extremely fine and light (because of age, too). What a great video and as someone else said, watching your videos is calming and educating, too. Thank heaven for my lips because I love them and now have so many tubes of lipstick that I could go into business. Thank you, Wayne!
Thank you from a 74 year old man. This is basically what I have done for years, not look made up, but just a fresher look. We all need some help, and I find more of the younger men have finally caught. I sometimes use a non streak bronzer by Clinique…..made for men… or women, that’s a gel. Gives that great healthy look, and a lot of compliments.👋

I'm getting ready to start a new job and wanted to have a little bit of makeup and when I went to play around with what I would wear, I was like WHAT is going on with my eyes?!?!?! I mean, I'm over 50, but still!!!! Now I know... So glad I found this video!
I was wondering so In this video , which was great, do you put a little of your foundation lightly on the rest of you eyes? Thanks. You’re the best.
Right...I'm SO gonna do THIS !! 👏

It annoys me really when you get these OTT beauty personalities, we just don't need it! At least us British don't lol.
Look like kids? 95% of the "beauty gurus" on the internet ARE kids. Take a good, close, hard look at some of these people.
Most of them are infants! No shade, but it’s true 🤷🏻♀️

Yes and he knows his subject
Wayne is always so right.
Are we not susposed to put highlighter just below the bag to give optical allusion of no bag?

Not only is Wayne fantastic at his craft. He is absolutely gorgeous and his voice is as well. Ahhh, could watch for ages. Oops, I have!!! lol
This is why we love you. There are so many products that people swear by that just don't work for me. My skin is just too sensitive. It is why I prefer your techniques because the less product i use the less the chance of irritation. I also am a minimalist so that too.
@Melanie Hale Thanks and I am doing well thanks for the concern.
YES, less as little as possible.
I have been doing this for years and thinking I was just bad at putting on makeup. It often felt like I created more issues than I was helping, if I put on more concealer. The exact issues he described/showed on his right side are why I started decreasing amount and area I applied concealer to. THANK YOU! That was so validating!!
So true…concealer does nothing for me but I might give this a shot !
@@anzelac5808 same here
Just discovered you and want to leave a thank you from Germany!
**gasp** it REALLY made your eye look smaller when you did the whole under eye concealer. It wasn't even subtle! Thanks
Good or bad?
Bad, I think. This was a great vid, so informative 😊.
It did !!!, that was so obvious, too.
I put concealer all the way across, now I'm going to try what he showed.
thank you Wayne..
Me too !
You are the genius of common sense and celebrating/accentuating each person's own unique beauty 💞💞💞
Thank you.
Same! There are no rules in makeup really.
LOL me too!
I don't have harsh dark circles and I stopped wearing concealer because it looked horrible on me. I'll be definitely trying this technique tomorrow!!
HE made it for ME!!!!
=) thank you Wayne!!!!
Exactly I’ve just been following the crowd and I’ve got no dark circles just my emphasising wrinkles and crinkles. This is the best tip!
The only thing that improves the under eye situation is fillers.
Research fillers or anything to do with the eyes carefully before proceeding. It's a delicate area to mess with and in extreme situations it can damage the eye area or even cause blindness. Not worth it.
@@Serenadesong absolutely do your research!
I have given up on trying to put concealer under my eyes because it seems to age me more. Definitely going to try this!!!
Yeah, the two things I've bought into the last couple years that I'm not sure are doing me any favors are concealer and highlighter, lol

Me too. I just turned 40 and my dark circles go all the way across. I have really fine lines around the outside of my eyes, but my concealer makes them so much worse.
Try colour correction instead, with foundation over it (foundation tends to be much lighter)

Absolutely amazing demo! I am a black woman and have been applying concealer all wrong... making my eyes look smaller then working smokey liner to make it look big again... WTF! So much work!!! You've simplified my morning by 15 minutes!Sooo grateful!!!
But you need to apply a concealer that matches your skin shade. The one in the video is way too light for your skin.
I'm a white woman and I've been doing the same! I noticed my eyes always looked tiny after applying my concealer! 😄 Wayne is a make up guru for sure!
Thank you so much for this comment.
"oh it's a bit of dry skin. Again. Lovely. My whole face is falling off."
I felt that.
I’m going to use that expression, my whole face is falling off, lol

When he started talking about his face falling off it made me think of the 'drunk irish soup guy' video here on youtube. To this day it's the funniest thing I've ever seen that I related to so strongly and how some days everything just seems to go wrong. I bet I've watched that video 100 times...🤣And for Wayne, of all days, this was not the day his face should be falling off.
Right there with you, friend.
You are so talented, well spoken and a true pro, who is also a true person.
Now I know!
Yes yes and yes! He explained it so well for IRL.
“Nothing bad about the product, it just really irritates my skin”
Wayne, I dream that I can find that level of forgiveness some day 😂
I really appreciate that he said that!

This makes so much sense! This explains exactly why I can’t stand cream concealers and why they e never worked well. I have never understood why.
Thank you!
It’s always a dilemma with my dark under eye circles. At 57 heavy coverage really accentuates textured skin. I’ll give this method a go!

Experience shows you how to look pretty but not overdone. Wayne is a true beauty expert who doesn't try to sell product & gives you true beauty tips & tricks that are much more inclusive. Love him!
Using tinted sunscreen or tinted moisturizer/BB cream in place of foundation helps. :)
I have the same problem! I also have freckles, so using foundation can look a bit strange on me. In the last year or so I've started just spot-correcting and it's made a huge difference.
I have discovered Mac face
And body. The best foundation. Light to medium coverage. Photographs so well
BB cream. Sheer. With a foundation brush.
I’ve ended up doing this too! Somehow it looks way more natural on my skin than concealer ever did.
May I ask what kind of color corrector you use?
I just started doing the same thing last week. Except I use Orange.
Would you mind sharing what brand/product? 🤩
Can you recommend a good color corrector. Concealers don't work for me :(
@@atomicsushi1 you’ll never believe it.
I use shroom to highlight that exact spot over my concealer. I use the same method wayne uses.
@@joliev1 shroom is a classic,I went back to mac after years of not buying it. Forgot how great their shadows are.
I have a thing with needles so I can’t see my self microblading, but damn does it look good! I recently watched a video of an Austrian esthetician (I believe) performing ‘brow lamination’ and it blew my mind! I think it was the most amazing brow before-and-after ever. Don’t know if they do it around here, but I have to look into it!
Tell me, does the bronzer you use have spf in it already and if so, please could you give me the name of it.
without a doubt the best ever video about concealer.
I have blue vein showing under my eyes. I’m not sure how to cover it
Kryolan dermacolor camouflage cream is pretty good
Wayne: Have you noticed that the inner corner of a newborn baby is so light and bright?
My instinctual response: Yeah. Life hasn't sucked the soul out of them yet. I think I need to schedule a follow-up with my therapist. Lol
That’s hysterical!!!!! Thanks for the laugh!
LOLOLOL! I hear you!
Sad but true!
Lol!! Hilarious!
Life is just the beginning like an exam everyone will die
I sometimes use
a non streak bronzer by Clinique…..made for men… or women, that’s a gel.
Gives that great healthy look, and a lot of compliments.👋
I think it's really nice when men feel comfortable enough to use makeup too :)
its actually pitiful
@@sekinsocal give me one reason it’s pitiful to want to look and feel better?
As an intuitive, I feel your strong dislike of yourself, Not loving yourself, will
only cause more damage to your external appearance, and hopefully your nose
doesn’t fall off. That’s pitifully 😢 sad.
@@sekinsocal So, why are you here?
i use that bronzer gel too
