Make certain your brushes are immaculately clean, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend something for allergies if necessary. You may even be allergic to the brushes themselves if made of animal hair and need to switch to synthetic. Good luck!

A million years ago when I first started to wear concealer, I'd always only put it in the corner of my eye like Wayne does in the video. Then social media came along and MU-influencers ruined it 😂 I never even gave the idea, of putting concealer in such a large area under the eye, a second thought on why that is necessary. Getting chunky apple cheeks when smiling, my eyes certainly don't look any bigger when cracking up 😂 Never had any problems with dark circles either. So now, going on 40, I'm so going back to how I use to do it and follow Wayne's advise!

I am only in my early 30s but my makeup routine for the past year or so has just been a bit of contour, a bit of eye shadow, and lip gloss, as a face full of makeup just feels like too much. But lately I've wanted to deal with the under eye darkness so started with a tiny bit of concealer right under the inner corner of my eye and blending out under my lash line, and using a brush and a bit of powder to set it. I also always put a little highlight of a yellow white shimmer in my inner eye corner to brighten as well :)

Learnt something valuable the way you demonstrated the effect. I have one eye visibly smaller which is somewhat bothersome. So I will now try the complete under eye on the bigger eye to even out the look. I wear glasses so if the concealer enhances my creases I won’t be too bothered. And I love that you dont slag off on anyone else’s technique or any particular product. Here is no one method that fit all for make up either. I do watch both. And being a "person of color" it makes zero sense for me to watch the makeup gurus who are all hawking products that will never work on my coloration. (Of course, there are some awesome "gurus of color" now.) But, it's just fun, it's something light and fun and feminine, and there's not that much on RUclips that appeals to that demographic. I don't watch cat videos or people b*tching about other RUclipsrs, so beauty vlogs are just easy, fun time-fillers.
Wayne, however, is like going to school. It doesn't matter what products or colors he uses or recommends, because that's not the focus. (He knows _value_ is universal while _color_ is specific) Technique is king here, and this is like a master class every time he uploads. I really am surprised at how one sentence here can change my routine and make me literally look better and love myself more when I look in the mirror. Wayne is a gift.

Which is why using makeup to make the eye to look bigger is great. I have small eyes and am a big fan of the "aegyo sal" lower eyelid shadowing and subtle highlighting, though with my deepset eyes I don't really have to do the shadowing part, just the subtle shimmer. Makes your eye look so much bigger, more sculpted, and can bring a bit more of an eye-squinch look to your neutral face depending on how you do it.
(Though recently the trend has seemed to not make it subtle anymore but just pop, which I don't know if I will ever get into.)

I was trained for MAC cosmetics when the company was only 5 years old. I learned this technique but somehow forgot it after settling in (pun intended) to an over correcting application. Thanks for bringing this back to mind at an age of life when I definitely need it !

I use shroom to highlight that exact spot over my concealer. I use the same method wayne uses.

After years of watching different makeup channels, I still find myself coming back to yours because of the way you explain your technique before demonstrating. I look tired from waking up to breastfeed at night and this REALLY helped my daytime office look!

Fellow sufferer from the dreaded eye trough! There seems to be no way to minimize them except plastic surgery! I’m going to wear a mask and sunglasses for the rest of my life.

Thank you from a 74 year old man. This is basically what I have done for years, not look made up, but just a fresher look. We all need some help, and I find more of the younger men have finally caught. I sometimes use
a non streak bronzer by Clinique…..made for men… or women, that’s a gel.
Gives that great healthy look, and a lot of compliments.👋

As an intuitive, I feel your strong dislike of yourself, Not loving yourself, will

      doesn’t fall off. That’s pitifully 😢 sad.

It’s always a dilemma with my dark under eye circles. At 57 heavy coverage really accentuates textured skin. I’ll give this method a go!
