@@denisesorenson1150 I used a peach concealer, a brightening concealer and a setting spray (3 products). I just showed Tarte Shape at the end to demonstrate a fuller coverage option but that is just another option for people who already love that concealer.

This was a great tutorial! Our dark under eye skin gets drier as we age - so you have to find that balance between moisturizing and camouflaging. At my age, less is definitely more. The same steps, the same products, but a really light hand. ❤
@@SusanM-v9j I still get creasing and agree with Maureen that less is more. I have stopped setting my under eye with any type of setting powder which turns crepey. I try to stay hydrated too. And, if you have something that works, please share!☺
I was just about to give up on using under eye concealer but your video this morning has inspired me to try again using your method! Thank you for such an honest makeup tutorial for concealing dark circles under the eyes when you're not 20 years old anymore. You never see anyone showing their true self on makeup videos without filters. This is exactly what I've been needing to see for my very textured under eyes. I recommend blending the peach concealer with the brightening concealer together so that you don't have to layer too many products under the eyes. I've been experimenting with various undereye concealers lately and concluded that the less products you put under your eyes, the less creases you get if you have matured skin.

this just appeared in my feed and I was sceptical, like "another video about that topic which will certainly NOT be helpful" bc I've watched enough of this and never got really helpful information... Well, you proved me wrong! I'm 38 and was disappointed by so many tutorials addressing this specific problem. U made a big difference. Very few influencers really go thru the maladies of a no botox 57 year old skin, haha. Have tried so many hacks, but nothing seemed to work. This really works. I have tried your techniques this morning by using my concealer and then using a setting spray on the brush to tap it in and this is THE BEST TECHNIQUE EVER. Nothing has ever worked before. Good information, but as a licensed Esthetician you should not rub under your eyes so hard and you should pat the cream under the eye up to the corner of the eye gently. And golden rule avoid rubbing your eyes. You’re going to create more wrinkles.
Actually, statistics show that facial massage reduces wrinkles. Rubbing your face (even your eyes, ESPECIALLY your eyes for hooded eye and under eye bag reduction) will decrease lines and wrinkles if done correctly. Nothing in this video is going to "cause" more wrinkles, except for the makeup itself.
Anything to be able to tell people your profession. As a licensed normal human being, I really just wanted the information she’s giving since a licensed aesthetician charges 300.00 to do anything productive to fix this. She’s giving this info for free. Keep your advice.

I just purchased a brand new very light, very viscous concealer 5 days ago 😱 Ive been applying concealer wrong for decades. Im 56 and have plenty of wrinkles under my eyes as well as very hollow undereyes which has caused me alot of stress my whole life. Everyday Im constantly trying to lighten the dark circles. I love the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. I have tried so many concealers ( high end and drugstore) and always come back to this one. It's the perfect formulation for me and I use the colour light.

I researched the best natural butters and oils for the face and to deter aging and I make my own face butter now. I was a slave to Estee Lauder for years but now currently ( it could change) but at 51 Im happy with my minimally wrinkled face. I have been wearing Industry wrinkle cream and sunscreen since age 16. I absolutely love Loreal Nude serum foundation. I tried two other ones this week and returned them. Went right back to it. If it isn't broken, don't fix it, LOL. I guess I get FOMO and want to try something new but that foundation is the best. I'm 50 so I highly recommend it as well. It looks like your own skin! I don't put a foundation under my eyes as well either!

This is the absolute best under eye/dark under eye/ make up video I've ever seen! Your tips are so helpful and true! Absolutely as we age we can't get away with a lot of product as it highlights imperfections, are pores, crease! Its funny when younger I wore a load of make up looked fab, now I spend more time on skincare and strategically finding which areas of the face i can add are up layers which takes longer. I hope to try this method one day..I dont think I do any of the steps and excellent tip of avoiding foundation on the trouble area of eyes. Thank you so much!

This is so helpful, I'll be 31 this year but have dark circles and laugh/smile lines under my eyes that I've been struggling to cover up and look good, I honestly gave up concealer all together because it never looked good but this has made me want to try again. I was struggling with creasing in my under eye and have bought lots of concealers thinking the formula was the problem… And then I came across your video and when you commented about the skinceuticals cream… I hit me!! I use it day and night (I love it) but indeed that was the thing it was making my under eye make up impossible!!! Now I’ve only use it at night! And in the mornings I use their AOX gel for the eyes and voila!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

Thank you for such an honest makeup tutorial for concealing dark circles under the eyes when you're not 20 years old anymore. You never see anyone showing their true self on makeup videos without filters. This is exactly what I've been needing to see for my very textured under eyes. I recommend blending the peach concealer with the brightening concealer together so that you don't have to layer too many products under the eyes. I've been experimenting with various undereye concealers lately and concluded that the less products you put under your eyes, the less creases you get if you have matured skin.

Well, you proved me wrong! I'm 38 and was disappointed by so many tutorials addressing this specific problem. I figured out a lot more of my own just by trial and failure but this is ultimately helpful and I want to thank you for pointing out the reasons why creasing happens at all.

I have tried your techniques this morning by using my concealer and then using a setting spray on the brush to tap it in and this is THE BEST TECHNIQUE EVER.
Nothing has ever worked before.
I had my make up on from 11am to 10pm and there were no creases.

Good information, but as a licensed Esthetician you should not rub under your eyes so hard and you should pat the cream under the eye up to the corner of the eye gently. And golden rule avoid rubbing your eyes. You’re going to create more wrinkles.

Actually, statistics show that facial massage reduces wrinkles. Rubbing your face (even your eyes, ESPECIALLY your eyes for hooded eye and under eye bag reduction) will decrease lines and wrinkles if done correctly. Nothing in this video is going to "cause" more wrinkles, except for the makeup itself.
Anything to be able to tell people your profession. As a licensed normal human being, I really just wanted the information she’s giving since a licensed aesthetician charges 300.00 to do anything productive to fix this. She’s giving this info for free. Keep your advice.

Ive been applying concealer wrong for decades. Im 56 and have plenty of wrinkles under my eyes as well as very hollow undereyes which has caused me alot of stress my whole life. Everyday Im constantly trying to lighten the dark circles. This tutorial has been an absolute blessing 🙌

I love the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. I have tried so many concealers ( high end and drugstore) and always come back to this one. It's the perfect formulation for me and I use the colour light.

Completely agree. Even just adding color corrector underneath can make your concealer crease even more than it usually does.

I am doing it the same way as what you showed but I was struggling with what products to use and what would be best for under eyes like this. That’s why I learned to formulate my own DIY o/w cream emulsions. I sell to friends and family so it doesn’t cost me anything! :)

I researched the best natural butters and oils for the face and to deter aging and I make my own face butter now. I was a slave to Estee Lauder for years but now currently ( it could change) but at 51 Im happy with my minimally wrinkled face. I have been wearing Industry wrinkle cream and sunscreen since age 16. I absolutely love Loreal Nude serum foundation. I tried two other ones this week and returned them. Went right back to it. If it isn't broken, don't fix it, LOL. I guess I get FOMO and want to try something new but that foundation is the best. I'm 50 so I highly recommend it as well. It looks like your own skin! I don't put a foundation under my eyes as well either!

Thank you for this video! I'm 25 and have naturally wrinkly eyelids as well as dark under eyes and this helped me SO MUCH!! I needed concealer products that weren't heavy and a better way to apply them since my skin is quite oily and textured. Anything I tried before would cake up a lot no matter how thin the layers were.

Using the setting spray has been a game changer for me. I saw it in another RUclips video a couple of months ago and it has worked great. My problem is I don't know what color concealers to use.

I had a terrible day today with my face makeup and realized that I’m 41 and have to accept my skin changes and that my makeup techniques have to change (again). I was so sad that my daughter even commented that she is sad I didn’t see the beauty in myself. I’ve never struggled with self esteem but today was a MOMENT. This is the absolute best under eye/dark under eye/ make up video I've ever seen! Your tips are so helpful and true! Absolutely as we age we can't get away with a lot of product as it highlights imperfections, are pores, crease! Its funny when younger I wore a load of make up looked fab, now I spend more time on skincare and strategically finding which areas of the face i can add are up layers which takes longer. I hope to try this method one day..I dont think I do any of the steps and excellent tip of avoiding foundation on the trouble area of eyes. Thank you so much!

And then I came across your video and when you commented about the skinceuticals cream… I hit me!! I use it day and night (I love it) but indeed that was the thing it was making my under eye make up impossible!!! Now I’ve only use it at night! And in the mornings I use their AOX gel for the eyes and voila!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
