I, just like everyone else have a problem with concealers accenting my wrinkles. I am 62 years old and have melasma along with wrinkles under my eyes. I recently ordered the sample kit of Tir Tir red on Amazon for $1.50. I used one of the lighter colors as a concealer under my eyes and it worked so well!, I moisturized with a little HA gel then applied the foundation with a concealer brush just under the eye area with a concealer brush and then a little powder. I think I have found my holy grail! The coverage was great and it did not accent any wrinkles and no caking. I am thrilled with the results!
I'm 71 and have great skin, hardly any lines and just now getting a little under-eye discoloring. I've tried so many concealers and they ALLLLLL crease! I've given up on them, BUT I found that using the Tirtir cushion foundation in my under-eye area is doing the trick. I go lightly with my pinky finger and only in the areas where I need it. I don't particularly like the Tirtir on my entire face, but as a concealer, YES! You look super cute today!

It’s overwhelming how many products are out there and understandably it’s not one size fits all! BTW Elf Camo was a huge fail for me and I couldn’t understand why when sooo many UTubers loved it. Thank You Gabi 🫶🏻
Agree with you both regarding Elf camo concealer. The shades were so off I can't even say anything about coverage or creasing because I couldn't use it. It is clown makeup! I like a lot of elf products, but this one is a dud.

ANASTASIA EYE PRIMER - it is transparent white, dries fast, matte finish - USE IT VERY SPARINGLY & ONLY WHERE NEEDED MOST - use a very small brush to apply. Apply your favorite under eye concealer over the primer - use a small brush to apply & lightly tap with your finger if needed. I have 60 year old dark circles on drier skin - this is my go to for complete cover that doesn’t appear heavy. I do not powder unless I am going to an event. Lancôme (in the tube) & Smashbox Becca are my faves.
I have med/dry skin that does not retain moisture without help and I have noticed that the foundations and concealers that I have tried and loved that did not dry out or separate did not have hyaluronic acid in them. It seems like that would be a good ingredient but its tendency to steal moisture from the skin makes it a likely culprit for separating and drying. I also have noticed that concealers I loved had silicones in them as they seem to do smoothing and blurring, but also occluding moisture. I do not believe I have ever tried foundation or concealer with kaolin in it and I'm glad to know that it dries the skin out so I can avoid it. Other humectants like panthenol, squalene, and allantoin are better skincare ingredients to find in foundation and concealer 🙂
It is a SOLID concealer. I made this video several weeks ago and since then, I've used a lot of the concealers in my day to day life and that one may actually be my favourite of the entire haul.
Great info, thank you! Unfortunately it didn't help me find something that will work for me. I have HORRIBLE dark circles + outer eye corners as well. Deep troughs. Even dark eyelids. A few but not many fines lines even though I'm old-LOL I keep trying and trying all kinds of color correctors and concealers, different combos, etc. Nothing seems to work. Right now I'm using the ELF hydrating camo which I got in a shade that was WAY to light for me even though I have light skin. The only thing I can say about the kaolin is I think THAT is what makes it stick. Once I put this on and it dries down, it doesn't seem to budge. I noticed it did really cover the darkness so I went over it with the same concealer in a darker color. Ok, that's a little better. Then I put my Drmtlgy color corrector (which almost matches my skin tone) Even better. The pressed Revolution light peach powder in to set. Not bad but now I have 4 products under my eyes and it feels heavy. I've followed so many videos-some even worse dark circles than mine but it still never satisfies me. I don't know what to do anymore...defeated old lady of 61.
The problem I have with all of the drug store concealers that I have tried is that many of them look beautiful at first but tend to settle into fine lines after a couple of hours of wear. I’d love to see a video that tests concealers after all day wear.
You are 100% spot on, Gabi….”clean” makeup is pure marketing. If you think back to the 70s and 80s, Cover Girl was the OG using “Clean Makeup” in their marketing campaigns. That’s because Noxzema and Cover Girl were made by the Noxell Chemical Corporation, now known as Noxell Corporation. More marketing. Today Clean Makeup doesn’t have preservatives and they turn rancid quickly. While it is turning rancid, you may not smell it but still use it on your face and around your eyes. Eeew. @@GlamGirlGabi Awe! It’s totally all your doing…we’re just blessed that you share your gifts and talents with us 🩷 I can’t believe you respond to comments!!!! Exceptional!
I pair the Bare with Me with NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop foundation (to mix the colors and formulas) and I love it 😍 I actually used the Aquaphor balm as a base underneath because the foundation is more drying on my skin
Appreciated this video so much. I’ve owned and tried the Elf, Revlon Flex, Age Rewind, & NYX and I can make them all work on my old under eyes by setting with a light application of powder but my favorite less expensive concealer is the Catrice HD Hydrating concealer. It’s a medium coverage that dries down and doesn’t need powder or crease into wrinkles. I had hoped you’d include it in this video to see what you think.
I have heard so many things about the Catrice one! They don't have it in Canada (at least I've never seen it) so I couldn't purchase it but maybe I'll order it online!
Im 70 with under eye bags..and Ive tried all the drugstore concealers-- There are 3 I honed in on that work fabulously and beat higher brands. Revlon has a light mauve- colour corrector that erases the red/dark tone under bags. Let that dry and pat it in. If the higher part is lighter in colour-a touch of any darker toned concealer in that area. Maybelline Age rewind- is the best blendable around the whole face if needed- it may be totally enough around the eyes for younger eyes. I finish going back to the mauved,.colour corrected underbag area and dfinish the shadow Marcelle conceller- its in a wide cream pencil - the application and texture beats all the others in tubes /rods/ rollers..and because its drier not too liquid not too creamy- it stays on defining the area so well. I pat a bit of translucent power and use a dewy finishing spray-Its the best you can do outside of botox ; )
Elf camo is what I use & I agree with you. It separates and make me look like I have wrinkleees!! I am in the market for a new concealer and this video came up. Thank you, I am going to try the maybelline age rewind. I am 26 but this video is still super useful
Being a Canadian girl 🇨🇦 it's nice that you can show a product that I want to try and I'm actually able to go and buy it! Why does makeup have to be so expensive though!
Loved this video. Quick and succinct. Discusssed the brand's marketing. Clear about the product's pros and cons specific to skin type and flaws. Great presentation.
Gabi, your hair looks absolutely stunning in this video!!! ( It always looks great, but this style is I think my favorite on you!!)...Thank you for your videos, they are always helpful:)
Great video, I hope you do a deep dive video on primers. Should we invest or not? Is it just a good skincare routine we really need? The beauty industry is flooded with primers nowadays.
AAW yes I can but I have to grow my hair out more. For this particular video, I waved it with the Dyson Airwrap but yesterday, I just cut my hair back into it's short blunt bob so it won't work now. I am still planning to do a Dyson video when my hair grows about two inches longer though so stay tuned for that!
Thanks for doing this & especially for showing in natural lighting. I've been using the trueskin & butterglow over elfs corrector. I appreciate you being with us !
Gabi, thank you for taking all this time to do this BIG test! You save us tons on money (and hateful speech to our mirrors when one doesn't perform well!) and I really appreciate it. And I LOVE your top!!!! Did you twist the sleeve like that? It's so unique!
Gabi - You look absolutely wonder. Your hair, make up, and the orange outfit looks great on you. Thank you for always giving your honest opinion on products.
Have you tried the milani skin quench primer under your eyes? At 68, it is the best product for my under eyes! Any concealer works over it. I use it every time. I also agree with you about the "clean" beauty. Just a gimmick.
Elf camo is what I use & I agree with you. It separates and make me look like I have wrinkleees!! I am in the market for a new concealer and this video came up. Thank you, I am going to try the maybelline age rewind
First I want to say that you are incredibly good at making videos. You are careful with your content and the way you test the products is super good. I have not tested them all, because not all of them can be bought in Norway. But I use maybelline as you tested and like it, and I also use Estee Laurder Double Wear Stay In Place Concealer. It's thin but I think it brightens and covers my blue rings. I also have oily skin. Heard a lot about Nars' concealer. Have you tested it?
Well done, Gabi! I love how you show concealers from the same brand side-by-side - it's how we actually see them on display in stores, and I've spent alot of time trying to decide which product in a brand I should buy. I didn't see Flower Beauty's Get Real Serum Concealer in your comparison; it's a very popular product here in the US, (and one of my favorites) and I'm guessing maybe its availability in Canada is not so great -? Thanks for the video!
Hey! Thank you for the feedback. I am so glad that you found it helpful! I have never heard of that product before so it must not be available in Canada. A lot of people asked me about Catrice too but we also don't have that.
OK it's been awhile since I've checked in on this channel. Normally I come for hair care and product recommendations. But your bob is STUNNING. I need the details to tell my hair dresser what to do on my next cut.
Thank you so much for your enlightening video Gabby. Have you tried kokie be bright illuminating concealer? This stuff is great. I am mature, and it is so ptetty. It is medium coverage, and so brightening!
I love your hair! Mine is the same length. I also have an Airwrap, but it's a bit hard for me to do this hairstyle. Could you please make a video showing how to do it?
I tried L'oreal Infallible in 340 Fawn years ago.I loved the shade, coverage, & fragrance. Unfortunately, it got crackly under my eyes midday. The fragrance also irritated my eyes. So I just use it elsewhere on my face. Revlon is a difficult brand to shade match for me so I've skipped their last few releases. I'm also not wowed by Maybelline Instant Age Rewind for undereyes but love both Light Honey & Honey for contouring. Thanks for all the info, Gabi!😘
Great video!! Thank you Gabi. Undereye bags can be reduced with lots of hydration. Not sure if your hubby is like mine, who needs reminding to drink his water. 😉
I do have a couple drugstore that are ok, but honestly, I'd rather splurge on my Lacome Teint Idol Concealer (w/ Bobbi Brown Stick Corrector). I use them both spareingly, so they last for a whole year. Worth the money.
Omg your hair and that top you are wearing wow your gorgeous 😊so many concealers I have don’t work will have to try NYX 😊thanks for sharing your thoughts on the concealers 😊
I was pleasantly surprised with how great LA Girl correctors are. The price is so low but the result is great. I’m used to expensive cosmetics, but these are great.
Subscribed. I’m a chemist; i don’t buy the clean makeup thing either. When you say “no chemicals”, people think “no harmful stuff” but forget that water is a chemical too.
THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT !! I have only seen one other lady (Susan Yara ) on you tube talking about clean beauty ! And I 100% agree !!!!! I have been saying it the whole time !!! And for people to buy into it is sad !!! Marketing at its finest and it’s ridiculous!!! Thank you being honest because viewers need to hear the truth and all it does is divide people when companies try and sell certain gimmicky theories !!!!
This was so helpful, thank you for putting in the work! 👏☺ I've been on the struggle bus with my under-eye concealers for a while now! 😩 I really want to try the L'Oréal Perfect Match Concealer but I live in Belgium (Europe) where you are fortunate if there are any testers out to begin with and when you buy you can't return. Makeup is considered a hygiene product here, so it's non-refundable and that wasted cost falls on the customer. So even though I've loved the L'Oréal True Match foundation in the past what's putting me off getting the "Perfect Match" concealer is that when I look up close to the bottle it looks like it contains some sort of glitter/sparkle, no thank you! At the moment, I'm combining two concealers to get my perfect full-coverage concealer. The NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop (which is far too cakey but high coverage on its own) with the Essence Skin Lovin' Sensitive Concealer (which is the opposite; too watery and light coverage). Together they make the perfect formula, and that's the one I'm hoping to find one of these days in a singular concealer! 🤞😅
It's the same policies in my country for many consumables, like skincare and makeup products and also fragrances. Once purchased, we can't return due to change of mind (products not agreeing with our skin etc). Even if very lightly used, like BBW policy in N America where customers can return a fragrance they don't like, well I feel like in America you can buy anything and return if you don't like them. So jealous.
@@summerrose1545 Right?! We have to commit when making our purchases 😩And it really sucks when there aren't even testers to help us. Just wasted €18 on a foundation because I couldn't swatch it first 😭
Life’s been so busy that I haven’t been able to enjoy your knowledge and sunshine ☀️ …so I’m obviously late to the party 🎉 I wanted to praise you for AGAIN doing such excellent work! Omg you do an outstanding job testing and sharing products! And so many! I’ve said before and I’ll say it again…THERES NOTHING LIKE AN HONEST REVIEW! And it’s because of that, that For any company that gets your stamp of approval, it’s definitely a win-win situation for them and us! Utmost respect Gabi…🎁
I loved this video but it didn't define what you thought was the best consealer or I didn't get it. Im 61 and the only consealer Ive stuck with for a couple of years is Revlon Candid #22 & other shades for face etc. Only on Amazon so I bought a couple but it sometimes doesn't work if my skin is a bit dry. I really hydrate w/BobbiBrown eye moisturizer and then use an oil spf Supergoop on the really dry days....Using a 10x magnifying mirror doesn't help my pickyness😂😂😂😂 BTW I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE A HAIRSTYLIST!!! I SAW THE MAKEOVER WITH THE 70 YEAR OLD ARTIST, WOW STUNNING BOTH HAIR AND MAKEUP!! Ive done hair over 35 years and was very impressed😊❤❤❤❤
It's hard to say which is best, because everyone has different issues and concerns. Thanks for watching the series with Koko! She was so lovely to work with!
Thank you for calling our clean makeup. I agree…. It’s 100% marketing. With that being said, it’s good to have options for those that seem to care about that.
Thank you for this video. It's always hard for me to find a concealer that will cover my hollows (and I want to try doing it without a corrector). This certainly broke my choices down.
I think finding the perfect concealer is difficult. I am close to 76 yrs old and I have purchased so many drug store concealers that accentuate my fine lines under my eyes that I have stopped using concealers. So what is a great concealer? I do not have dark circles but I have a few fine lines. Loved this video.
Not drugstore, and definitely not cheap. However, lasted me for a year, no separating, Teint Idole Ultra wear all over concealer by Lancome. I've bought countless others over the years, but this really is it for very mature, very dry skin. Hope that helps!😊
@@mmcs4973I have used Lancôme for years as well but suddenly this year it started drying out the corners of my eyes terribly and have had to stop. So disappointed and now trying to find a replacement.
BYE BYE UNDEREYE CONCEALER frdom TEMU is the best concealer I have ever tried for mature undereye areas! It costs under $2 a tube...which is a steal!!! It is very hydrating...light to medium coverage, but is buildable. I prep my undereye with AQUAPHOR LIP BALM, apply concealer, and set with a fine milked setting powder. It lasts all day without creasing.
But oh, the difficulty of choosing the right shade in drugstore products!!!! I usually end up buying (and throwing out) so many before hitting the right colour! I'd love a tutorial about that specific issu. Thank you!
If you currently have a perfect shade match at home, bring that with you to the drugstore and use that as a shade reference in choosing a new concealer. I always do this to get the undertone right. Also, drugstores take returns. Just keep your receipt.
@@GlamGirlGabi The footage in natural lightning was *chef's kiss*. I'm staying with my Nyx serum and Maybelline spongetip-thing, good to know those are top of the line
@@GlamGirlGabi Additional suggestion: comparing these same concealers on the upper eyelids (for those of us in need of evening out the skin tone) and as an eyeshadow base
Fantastic tutorial. When I was 38 due sinus have one bag one, now 63 still the bag eye plus lines 😢 can't fine a concealer that work just don't use one at all. I use Dior and Elf as my foundation
I wish I wrote it down! I have a million and I just popped whatever I thought would be pretty that day and now I don't remember. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! I'll make sure to write my lip combos in the description box moving forward.
Thank you for sharing this video. This is interesting as some of us may struggle with finding the right concealer. Also, your makeup looks beautiful and your hair too.😊
Hey Gabi! Just curious. Have you ever compared or tried out any direst sales cosmetics like MaryKay, Avon, Younique? It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.
Gabi love ❤️ your honesty about the products you review. I agree with you about concealers. I don’t believe there is anything out there on the market to cover fine lines and crows feet. It’s just apart of the aging process.
Yeah that is the truth. You have to do your best to brighten without going too far with density and having it sit in the lines. It's a balancing act. However, lines around your face are the perfect indicators or a trult happy life so I'll take it :)
Gabi, thank you for another great video. I will definitely try 1 or 2 of them, but wanted to tell you about one that I have been using for a few years. I’m 61 years old & don’t have creasing with the Shiseido concealer. I swear by it. Have you ever tried it? If not, I’d love for you to try it & let us know what you think, as maybe other Shiseido products, if possible ❤️

Your hair and top are both so beautiful today!❤❤❤
AAW thanks Jen. I changed it up today and used the Dyson air wrap to make it all flippy and fun. It turned out having such a vintage vibe!
@@GlamGirlGabiI love it it looks gorgeous❤❤❤❤❤
Can you make a video that shows how you created this style with your airwrap? Love it btw! Looks so nice on you!
Love this suggestion Leya! Thank you so much for sharing!
Elf camo is what I use & I agree with you. It separates and make me look like I have wrinkleees!! I am in the market for a new concealer and this video came up. Thank you, I am going to try the maybelline age rewind. I am 26 but this video is still super useful
Love the way you have styled your hair today- and your lipstick - please share make and shade.❤
Being a Canadian girl 🇨🇦 it's nice that you can show a product that I want to try and I'm actually able to go and buy it! Why does makeup have to be so expensive though!
For reelz it’s too high ! 😞
Hi Gabi! Your hair looks beautiful. Hope you have a wonderful week. ❤️
Great video, I hope you do a deep dive video on primers. Should we invest or not? Is it just a good skincare routine we really need? The beauty industry is flooded with primers nowadays.
Great video, but i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hair and makeup in this video. Would appreciate a tutorial on the whole look.❤❤❤
Will you please show us how to do your hairstyle that you’re wearing today? Love it.
@@GlamGirlGabi 👍🏻😘
I LOVE the NYX Bare concealer!!! It's so great!!!
Undereye bags, also puffy eyel8ds -- 100 Percent Pure's Organic Coffee Bean Eye Cream. Works immediately, not greasy, brilliant. And mot expensive.
Yessss to the puffy under eye video🤗🤗❤️🇨🇦
Thanks for doing this & especially for showing in natural lighting. I've been using the trueskin & butterglow over elfs corrector.
I appreciate you being with us !
You're so welcome! Thank you for leaving such a sweet comment. That means so much to me.
Aaaw thank you! I’m so glad you liked this look ❤️
Have you tried the milani skin quench primer under your eyes? At 68, it is the best product for my under eyes! Any concealer works over it. I use it every time.
I also agree with you about the "clean" beauty. Just a gimmick.
Love your hair! Thanks for the video.
Thank you! I changed it up today. I used the Dyson airwrap to make it all flippy. It's got a vintage vibe to it that I think is fun :)
Thank you so much for your candid and tested opinions/reviews, Gabi. I appreciate that. 💋
Love, love the Skin Awaken one--if I find I need a little more coverage I set it with beige/light toned Fit Me setting powder instead of translucent.
Great coverage for over the counter products.
Over 60 hollow eyes, dark circles, puffy eyes. Which one would you recommend? Thank you.
And also that top color & your eye makeup here is amazing. Glamour girl Gabi!!
Thank you!

Do you have an absolute "top 5" concealers list somewhere (regardless of drugstore or not)? I've been using Calliray lately, which is really good.
Recent discovered your channel and you are just different and more honest in your product reviews. I love your content. Thank you for you❤ a new fan.
Thank you so much! Welcome to the community!
Forget the concealer! Girl your hair 😮😮 is FABULOUS 😊. Please tell us how you achieved that look. Hot rollers? Curling iron??? PLEASE SHARE!!
Velcro rollers probably as Gabi uses those a lot. Many hair vids on her channel 🎉❤
I used the Dyson Airwrap. I'm waiting until my hair grows a bit longer and then I'll do a video about how to achieve this!
@@GlamGirlGabi Look forward to that!
Had to comment on your beautiful hair and cute top!❤ Hoping for a curling/style tutorial.
Omg your hair and that top you are wearing wow your gorgeous 😊so many concealers I have don’t work will have to try NYX 😊thanks for sharing your thoughts on the concealers 😊

I would love a tutorial on how you atyled your hair for this video. It looks amazing!
I was pleasantly surprised with how great LA Girl correctors are. The price is so low but the result is great. I’m used to expensive cosmetics, but these are great.
Loved this video, super practical. Could you rate the best drugstore concealer for light, medium, and full coverage.
Subscribed. I’m a chemist; i don’t buy the clean makeup thing either. When you say “no chemicals”, people think “no harmful stuff” but forget that water is a chemical too.
Welcome to the channel and thanks for subscribing!
I've been on the struggle bus with my under-eye concealers for a while now!
Just wasted €18 on a foundation because I couldn't swatch it first 😭
Life’s been so busy that I haven’t been able to enjoy your knowledge and sunshine ☀️ …so I’m obviously late to the party 🎉
I wanted to praise you for AGAIN doing such excellent work!
You are the absolute sweetest! Thank you so much. That means everything!
I love your honesty and transparency❤❤ loved this video!
I really hydrate w/BobbiBrown eye moisturizer and then use an oil spf Supergoop on the really dry days....Using a 10x magnifying mirror doesn't help my pickyness😂😂😂😂
BTW I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE A HAIRSTYLIST!!!
Your hair flipped up is gorgeous 😍
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for calling our clean makeup. I agree…. It’s 100% marketing. With that being said, it’s good to have options for those that seem to care about that.
Wow! This is comprehensive! I need to find one that doesn't emphasise my fine lines. Thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful!
@@mmcs4973 thank you. I will definitely buy that one.
For me Maybelline Instant Age Rewind is the best even from high end concealers. I use it as a foundation too .
I totally agree about the Elf camo concealer. So disappointing. Thanks Gabi. This was a great video.❤
My ND concealer & Lancôme Tient Idole just sit there while I always reach for LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer.
thank you thank you I need the budget products, and thank you for breaking down into when it will work and when it won't!!!
You look amazing today Gabi Your hair is fab that way and I love the colour of your lipstick and blush 🥰
Thank you so much 😀
Please do a video for sunken eyes...there's such a shadow that it makes me look soooooo old. Help!!!!!❤❤❤
Do u use latise by chance ? It’s a side effect of this product

AAAW Aimee thank you! I am really happy to hear that you found this helpful!

What do you think is the best under eye serum/Moisturizer to use for fine lines - before applying a concealer?
Thank you for sharing this video. This is interesting as some of us may struggle with finding the right concealer. Also, your makeup looks beautiful and your hair too.😊
what shade do you use for NYX? Loved this review🩷
Thank you Gabi! I really appreciate all your hard work!!
I’d love to hear what you think of the Catrice concealer. It’s my current go-to for mature skin. 😊
I've heard so many amazing things about this but I have never tried it!
@@GlamGirlGabi Gabi you are so awesome. Is the LYS foundation good for mature skin?
Gabi, thank you for another great video. I will definitely try 1 or 2 of them, but wanted to tell you about one that I have been using for a few years. I’m 61 years old & don’t have creasing with the Shiseido concealer. I swear by it. Have you ever tried it? If not, I’d love for you to try it & let us know what you think, as maybe other Shiseido products, if possible ❤️
Wow, what a clear, honest and good coverage... Thank you ❤!
I like that flip (hair style)!
