@@kellenegiese5846 I’ve just celebrated a very significant birthday…. Where do the years go; saying that we shine from the inside out…a smile is worth a hundred dollars in make up….
Thank you so much! I feel like I look a million times better! I’ve recently lost 40 lbs and have been struggling with how to see myself, dress, and use makeup differently. As a relatively new makeup user, I’ve been lost and a bit unhappy with how old and tired I look. This is insanely amazing!
This is a great tutorial, thanks so much! I am 51 and just getting back into makeup and have yet to conquer a great eyeshadow look, so will definitely be giving this a go.
If someone had said "this will make you look twenty" when I was sixteen, I would have been ALL over that! Heh. Apart from that comment, this is interesting and I think I'll try it. I've struggled with makeup because my already hooded eyes have gotten much more so (thanks, time and gravity). This seems a lot easier than trying to create a distinct cut crease. EDIT: Okay, I tried this. It's brilliant. It lifts the whole eye area and it's SO much easier than creating a cut crease, which I have always found fiddly, especially with how mobile the skin is around my eyes these days. This is just PERFECT.
I'm 32 and have always gravitated towards this style of shadow. I'll try different things and always go back to this. It's how I remember my mom and the Merle Norman lady teaching me how to do my eyes. It's the most flattering on my eye shape and the quickest easiest way for me to do them. I think it's the most universally flattering style of shadow.
I could cry. I'm 46 and have always struggled with eyeshadow application. You are the first makeup artist on RUclips I ever watched and still the BEST. thank you.
I only just discovered your channel. I’ve been practicing this look with what I’ve got. I didn’t know what hooded eyes were until 2 years ago. Now at my 55th birthday there’s no question that I have to do my makeup differently. I’m even thinking some of those eyelid strips would help immensely at this point. I haven’t checked yet but I hope you have all these products listed. It’s time to restock. I’d love to try all the products and brushes that you use. I’ve been scared to use lashes but I’m going to try it out now. They just make your eyes pop and look so beautiful. Thank you so much Wayne for making it real for us. I just love this understated, yet dramatic look!

A million thank yous for helping out those of us with hooded eyes and aren't spring chickens anymore!! I've never known how to properly do my makeup and I've really gotten into buying a lot lately, in hopes of figuring out how to look (at least) decent 😉!!
Wayne, thank you for reaching techniques other than cut crease and halo. I don't need the latest look. I need one that enhanced MY beauty. I appreciate you. Thank you for aging gracefully with most of us!
Thank you! I tend to shy from eye shadow, you’ve intuitively touched on my challenges- how to clean up, conceal the under eye and dark corners after the color application. Love the simplicity of no shadow primer, using highlighter and contour on the eyes for a more harmonious color palette. I am having fun playing with basic false lashes too... you make it look so easy 🙌🏻
I have always loved makeup, but since finding your videos my makeup game has totally stepped up. You are amazing, thank you for your wisdom and sincerity. 💕💕💕💕

I'm definitely going to try this Wayne, thank you so much for explaining everything, I love your tutorials, also I have your brushes and they are absolutely amazing, ❤❤❤
I agree I love his brushes. They are my special ones, separate from all my others. Use them all the time. When I have misplace them it unsettled me until I found them.
I bought my first lot of Wayne’s brushes years ago, and threw all my old ones out (from so-called “prestige” brands). About to make another big order from Beautilish for a few brushes and a heap of Wayne makeup (thanks, Wayne!).
Do the same.but with different colors like insted of perl use light purple instead of gray a darker shade of purple same idea but with different color palettes
This is exactly how I do my eyes. Mine are VERY hooded and this is the only way that I can do eyeshadow on them and the reason I have so few eye shadows. The only difference is that I do not apply that darker shade on the outer corner because I have an additional problem, more hood over the outer eye and also dark circles, I always look tired and that would make it worse.
I do mine really close to this as well. I do feel like I have a bit more lid area from my natural crease to my brow that is difficult for me most days…although I’m my own worst critic…lol
Same here! I always felt better doing that but I had never heard anyone actually teaching that! The more traditional way of applying eyeshadow makes me look quite tired.
I just rewatched this video, because Beautyliss delivered your Tourmaline Palette yesterday! So excited and I needed a refresher on how you do this. At 64 you old retired hairdresser, you'd think I'd know. But I have given myself all new makeup, changed up my style and I can't wait to put this on tomorrow! The colors are even more stunning than the video's show, a really glamorous Palette. Thank you for your hard work!
In high school I had a cover girl quad shadow tiny little eye shadow palette , it had 4 shades of brown , two of them were metallic , god I loved that little thing so much, I used it for everything, eyebrows, eyeliner , shadow….. the good old days, and I swear I felt fabulous every time I did my eye makeup

Love, love your easy tutorials, so great that you let folks with hooded and/or aging eyes feel good about applying makeup that makes them feel polished at any age❤
I'm 30 and I NEVER felt good with the more traditional way of applying eyeshadow.. one day I discovered that applying the lighter color on the inner half of the lid (not just on the inner corner of the eye) made me look good and younger, not older! I thought that it was something weird of me.. because I've never heard of anyone teaching that. But now I have been touched by Wayne's Wisdom, and I'll keep doing that with a smile ;)
This is such an understated, beautiful look!! (I’m 51.) I’ve been a big fan of color harmony for years. (Mostly because I’m not sure what colors I can safety pull off. 🤣 it’s work for me.) I love how you really take your time and really make sure we understand why it’s important to use a certain technique. Thanks so much!!💜
Your explanation of everything makes it seem so simple..Those eyelashes are wonderful...lighter color on lid medium contour an little lighter under brow...got this..thank you

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I never comment on videos, but I followed your instructions and for the first time in ages I felt great about my makeup. For the past year I've ended up washing off my makeup after putting it on because it aged me. I'm 50 and the way I used to apply my eye makeup wasn't working for me anymore. I had given up after trying so many different products and other tutorials. I followed your instructions in this tutorial and my makeup looked beautiful, I felt beautiful, and it really helped me feel more confident. I can't thank you enough for sharing this with us.

For those with hooded deepest eyes like myself , I suggest moving the outside corner upwards & go with a lighter towards inside corner cuz if not ur eye will sink further back
Thank you! I have super deep set eyes and have such a hard time with eyeshadows. @luxeyjames would you still you still use a lighter shade for the transition color?
I love this and will subscribe to you forever for telling 16-year-olds that they don't want to look 20. They do, of course. But someone who knows what helps make women beautiful telling them not to is beautiful.

Wayne Goss, you literally changed my life! I haven’t seen your videos in so long. I’m a nurse and traveled all over last year. I’m Back Baby!! And I didn’t realize how much I missed you until I saw you again.
I have your brushes, and so much or your makeup. You are simply the most beautiful person inside! And out, of course... Thank you
Thank you so much for looking out for us girls who just turned 50 I really appreciate you meticulously going over each step in detail! I just started sailing Mary Kay and I needed a tutorial like this for this middle aged group I just started sailing Mary Kay and I needed a tutorial like this for this middle aged group
Lashify is truly amazing. I’ve been using it for years. can’t recommend enough!
He is so adorable. He seems a bliss to hang out with.
lol I know what you mean !!
Gorgeous. I'm 60. Tried this. Perfectly wearable. Beautiful. I love this man. He tells the truth. He shows us the truth. He gives us realistic, doable, beautiful techniques that actually work.
A million thank yous for helping out those of us with hooded eyes and aren't spring chickens anymore!! I've never known how to properly do my makeup and I've really gotten into buying a lot lately, in hopes of figuring out how to look (at least) decent 😉!!
Thank you so much! 😃😀
Wayne, thank you for reaching techniques other than cut crease and halo. I don't need the latest look. I need one that enhanced MY beauty. I appreciate you. Thank you for aging gracefully with most of us!
Wayne, you are truly a light. Just wanted you to know. ❤️
Thank you xx
I adore you’re logical no fuss way of explaining …luv it…the “eye” looks beautiful….it’s truly ageless …
This is exactly what I've been trying to figure out! My eyes look super lifted and open !! Thank you so much for this video💜
Thank u from the bottom of my heart ❤
Best make up tutorial I've EVER seen for a woman of 47 👌.. thank you again Wayne x
Thanks so much 😊
I have always loved makeup, but since finding your videos my makeup game has totally stepped up. You are amazing, thank you for your wisdom and sincerity. 💕💕💕💕
What a Amazing teacher you are. Thank you for share your knowledge with us. We are truly blessed.😊
Thank you xx
Love you, Wayne! May God bless you with beauty, truth and his undying love.
I have these lashes but have not dared to use them. This looked very easy. Brilliant Wayne. Thank you!
Will this be safe and be ok for my eyelashes?
I love that you get in close and show everything.. I learned so much. So much more useful than blast in your face with light like so many influencers do.. You’re the real deal. Just love you
A lovely look by a lovely man. I'm going out tomorrow night for the first time since the pandemic started, I'm totally going to try this eye! xo
Have fun!
Mr Goss you are a master of your craft, fab tutorial as always, as well as easy on the eye, love from Australia
Thank you for this great tutorial, especially for us slightly older gals. You explain everything without fluff and waffling. Can't wait to try this method out.
You're my favorite make-up artist, I just discovered you but before I knew it,I started learning a lot of tricks from you, I tried this on my mother on mother's day and she looked very younger, like you said!! I love how you guide us through each step, plus you explain things in a very easy way!
I just ordered your eyeliners, bronzer, brushes and blushes. I’m so excited. You are just the best person Wayne! Sending you so much love and light.
I think I know what I want for Christmas 🎄 🤩💯
I echo that. Just put in a HUGE order (haven’t been in a position to “waste” money for a while) and can’t wait for my parcel!
Where did you order it from x
Thank you Wayne. I am 65 learning how to do eye make up. Your instructions is so clear that I can easily follow.
I love love love this tutorial 🤩 I am 61 years and this look is so me 👏🏻 Thank you 🙏🏻🥰
Holy crap. I’m not 50 but yet into everything you just showed. I’ve been watching you for years and will continue watching you for as long as you let us enjoy your expertise and wonderful self.
I'm definitely going to try this Wayne, thank you so much for explaining everything, I love your tutorials, also I have your brushes and they are absolutely amazing, ❤❤❤
Awesome! Thank you!
I agree I love his brushes. They are my special ones, separate from all my others. Use them all the time. When I have misplace them it unsettled me until I found them.
@@sandywilkerson1843 Yeah I carry them with me in my carry on when I go on the plane. I don't trust TSA with my Wayne brushes!
I bought my first lot of Wayne’s brushes years ago, and threw all my old ones out (from so-called “prestige” brands).
About to make another big order from Beautilish for a few brushes and a heap of Wayne makeup (thanks, Wayne!).
I really like how you pushed the dark eyeshadow into the lash line. I am going to try that.
Thank you.
I would love to see how you could get a similar feel of continuity but without neutrals for us color lovers.
Experiment. Try doing this with your favourite colours. It’s only makeup, not a tattoo.
Do the same.but with different colors like insted of perl use light purple instead of gray a darker shade of purple same idea but with different color palettes
Revisiting this video. Wayne, you are the best! A marvelous teacher and your kindness shines through.
This is why I’m here! Love you Wayne
Благодаря ти,Уейн❤ Гледам много уроци по грим, много жени показват различни техники,но при теб нещата са ясни, получават се❤ Бъди здрав, поздрави от България 🇧🇬
Love Love the tutorial you really know how to explain the how and why can’t wait to try!!
Love, love your easy tutorials, so great that you let folks with hooded and/or aging eyes feel good about applying makeup that makes them feel polished at any age❤
I love that intensely highlighted mobile lid look. And your brushes make it so easy ☺️. Have a lovely weekend! ❤️💋xx
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kate I'm 60 an I still use highlighted and shimmers carefully. But not under the brow.
Enjoy your weekend
I love shimmer and glitters. I am going to rock it until I am in my 90s if I am here that long.
@@melindagenitempo2359 Too much shimmer under the brow can look a little late 70s/early 80s but, hey, that’s also a look 😆x
@@sandywilkerson1843 👍Same 😁
I'm 30 and I NEVER felt good with the more traditional way of applying eyeshadow.. one day I discovered that applying the lighter color on the inner half of the lid (not just on the inner corner of the eye) made me look good and younger, not older!
Thanks so much!!💜
Your explanation of everything makes it seem so simple..Those eyelashes are wonderful...lighter color on lid medium contour an little lighter under brow...got this..thank you
Every 16 year old will now be doing this to "look 20". LOL
Exactly what I was thinking 😄
My 19 year old will be doing it too. Oh wait I do her makeup when she is in town!
All those kids that want to look 21 to get into a club or buy alcohol: YESSSS
That I was thinking!
Haha! Bottle shops in Australia say you need to have an id check if you “look under 25”.
Oh to be checked for id....
Thank you so much for this! I can't wait to try it! I have VERY hooded eyes (always have had since childhood) & have always wondered how to do this. You're a true blessing. Not just showing us the how, but the why as well! Thank you!!!❤❤❤
Wonderful video as ever Wayne. You make it so accessible. I'm 53 and my make up looks so much better since I discovered your tutorials! 🤣
Wow, thank you
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Oh my, eyeshadow perfection! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us Wayne Goss. I’ve been watching your incredible videos for awhile and learn something every time. I can’t wait to try this and then pop out to buy some milk 😄 You are truly a gifted artist and teacher.
I'm so glad! Thank you so much. Let me know how the milk run goes :) xx
Stunning! So transformative.
Gorgeous tutorial Wayne!!💖 Simple steps that yield a stunning result! Thank you!😍
Thanks so much 😊
❤️❤️
This is by far the best make-up tutorial I have watched. Clear, sensible, down-to-earth, love ❤️
I just love watching you show us 'older girls' how to love ourselves again. Yes, I make mistakes but you always bring us back to the truth...it's just make-up and it should be fun....I've forgotten the fun bit lately. Thank you so much for being so wonderful. x
I'm in my fifties and this is the first time ever that I feel like my eyeshadow looks good. I always just kind of threw color here and there and hoped for the best. But I put it on along with the video and I can't believe the results. I look beautiful.
Thank you so much ❤️
For those with hooded deepest eyes like myself , I suggest moving the outside corner upwards & go with a lighter towards inside corner cuz if not ur eye will sink further back
And please, blend that outside corner, even just a *teeny-tiny* bit. That stencil edge is harsh-to a detrimentally distracting degree.
Love this , it's simple yet beautiful. I tend to go overboard when I do my eyeshadow and it ends up looking like a clown. And those lashes, I have gotta to get em.
Love lashify :)
I love your work, and your skills and demeanor. Thank you. Bless you. Thank you for the house tour. I’m so sad about Mel’s passing. Sending you love and comfort. 💜
You’re amazing and talented Wayne :)
Thank you kindly
I want to give you a big hug, the way you present the steps and how much your enjoyment is during the process is contagious and time passes without me noticing.
THANK YOU you're a sweetheart 💋MWA💋 MWA 💋MWA
Just in time. I have a high school class reunion this weekend!
I am about to turn 48 and the makeup is definitely changing for me. Your tutorials have been game changing. Your thoroughness and thoughtful nature with these videos is amazing. Thank you for being such a light for so many of us.
Thank you this was interesting. I can’t use the lashes due to sensitivity. How would adjust the look for those of us who wear glasses?
same here. Wondering therefor how to adjust without applying eyelashes. Perhaps, just using mascara well.
I would assume mascara and dart eyeliner
❤ Thank you Wayne! So happy I saw this. After following the same makeup routine for years (too many), I'm updating everything I do (a process). This is a wonderful video, and so helpful! You make everything very easy to understand with your demos and explanations. You have a way of putting things in context as well. I'm enjoying all your videos, and plan to keep watching!
Thank you Wayne.. I've been watching you for years! xo
