They just tell you what they use. I don’t have these specific brushes but I do have some that are the same shape, and knowing how to properly use them is so helpful! I can’t wait to try this.

Thank you for doing a tutorial that shows exactly what your doing. I love the fact that you showed what kind of brushes to use and what colors to use and where to place them. I also love that you compared the brushes with one another. So many of us do not always know what the brushes are for and what and where on the eye your supposed to use them. I totally understand your comment, and what you mean! I don't practice nearly enough, expecting to be able to get something down pat the first or second time I try it. When that obviously doesn't work out, I get frustrated, and find all sorts of flaws with myself for why I don't or can't look get it to look the way it's supposed to. Instead of the fact that I probably could with time and practice, I tell myself it's because my eyes are both too round AND too hooded, and I just can't pull off the look. In a way, it IS true, because I have both small, round eyes AND their hooded, but I believe that I could adapt the technique to make it work after watching this. I haven't been able to find anyone who has the same problem as I, and I do find it a problem, which again is the fact that my eyes are so round AND hooded. Everyone I watch has beautiful die shaped eyes. It's the same when picking out lashes. They ask if you have round eyes OR hooded, but not both. I'm not sure which is the bigger flaw if you will, that making adjustments for would provide the biggest change in look. Anyway, in addition, I'm also 46, so age definitely figures into this equation, and as we both mentioned, the lack of practice, with the expectation of being able to suddenly become a professional MUA, is a ridiculous amount of pressure to place on ourselves! It's nice to get a reminder that she's been perfecting her skills for years! Beautifully done tutorial, thank you for taking the time to do it!!

You are a fabulous make up artist, but you were even a more fabulous teacher. There’s some people who try to explain technique and just have no idea how to explain it. They may be able to execute, but they cannot explain. Jaclyn hill I feel is really good at this when she teaches tutorials. I think you’re on the same level as her as far as that goes. Please take that as a complement, because I truly mean it that way. 💜💜💜
This is the first ever tutorial I’ve watched on you tube that I’m actually going to try! I’ve got the palette and pretty much all those brushes. It was so in-depth and close up which is brilliant. Thank you ❤️
This is beautiful. I hadn't realized how well the gold/peach color family worked for blue gray eyes. As I've aged the skin around my eyes has gotten very thin and crepey, so I'm going to try your technique using fewer layers of product. I really liked how you showed where to place colors and blend them.
Don’t be afraid to layer even if your skin is thin and crepey. You don’t want the color looking washed out. It needs to be deep, so absolutely layer. I’m 59.
I’m impressed with just how much time you are spending with blending each shade as you apply it. And, that you are actually applying the crease colors above your crease.
This was the first time watching you, because of the gorgeous thumbnail ( you killed this look) and it was the best tutorial I’ve ever seen on how to do this eye look and to see the extra skin was a plus for us older ladies that have extra now .. I’m hooked on your channel now.. well done.. thanks
I love the easy to follow video but my main issue was that the rustic color the video said to use did not look like what you applied on your life...it cane out super dark on my lid even when I used less and tapped out excess.
@@lydiamazuka493 not sure why you commented that here, under someone else's comment, but sometimes colors in videos don't come out true to color. Its could be her settings, or it could be your settings or your screen on whatever device you're viewing from. Regardless, it doesn't have to be the same color she used, or the same palette even. Its more about the techniques and brush types that she shared in the video. You can do the same exact thing with any palette or even any single shadows that you choose.
You have hooded eyes. You’re just still young. A lot of women who aren’t into make-up or anatomy don’t realize they have this trait until they are older and the hoods are lower than when they were young. Thanks for talking about this. I think my eye area has a similar shape.
I want to stop being lazy and get my act together. First step...my makeup. Your tutorial actually made me believe I can do this. I ordered makeup brushes and I’m excited!!! Thank you!!!

You are a true artist with how you place the eyeshadow and explain the technique and the brushes. I tend to get my eye shadows when I use more than 1, looking muddy when I blend them. But after watching your video just now, I learned a few tips which go to show that even we older or mature women can learn new ways of blending. Your eyeshadow came out stellar!
The best MUAs are the ones who know exactly what they are doing on their faces, that they are able to teach others. I've learnt a lot from watching this video. I recently completed a course at the London School of Makeup, but cut crease wasn't a part of it. But I have to know how to accomplish a cut crease look, so here I am to learn . Thank you for sharing.
EXCELLENT explanation and execution! I sincerely appreciate the time taken to actually explain what you do to achieve your desired result. While each individual person has his/her technique and way of educating those who want to learn, know that you raise the bar! Grace & Peace to you, and may you have continued success!

So I would just like to say thank you very much for making this video! I've never been good at doing my makeup and I've never actually tried to do it the right way lol. With that being said, I watched this video twice before I actually tried to do it on my self and I was PLEASANTLY surprised at how it turned out! Coming from a beginner, your tutorial was so easy to follow! Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to go through this step by step! You've now gained a follower for life! ❤
I used the Sigma L05 for the first time on my eyes today! It's a great brush! Thank you for the recommendation. It's also good for packing eyeshadow. I don't think I could ever perfect a cut crease though, because I have an eye condition called Keratoconus and a cut crease requires precise work and I just can't see well enough to do it. (I can't wear contact lenses because my corneas are cone shaped.) I really appreciate you and your channel Angela. I've gotten better at makeup thanks to you.
Thank you so much for this in-depth tutorial, I learned a lot and I appreciate that you not only know how to do makeup but you're also a great teacher, hard to find!
I had to spin the block.... this tutorial just saved my life! I just did a bridal trial, and she wanted a cut crease. I hadn't done that technique in over 10 years! Thank you so much. THANK YOU 😊
Ok girl you might not even see this but here we go. I followed this tutorial almost exactly but I used my friend's Anastasia Beverly Hills palette and although it took me three tries to get it right (looking up got concealer almost on my eyebrow, I guess I have less real estate on my lids than I thought) I had a professional photographer ask me if I was a professional makeup artist. I also had 4 separate people tell me I looked like elsa because I have silver blonde hair and a braid in my hair currently which is kinda beside the point BUT 4 separate people compared me to a Disney Princess so I would say this tutorial more than exceeded my expectations. 1000/10.
I've followed you for a while and your technique has gotten so exact 💯 and on point as you get older, definitely compliments to you, you truly slay every look

This is the best step by step tutorial I have ever seen and it’s very well done. Please make more videos like this one. Thank you Angela and you are beautiful ❤
This is a really pretty look. I just wanted to point out that since you are making this directed to beginners, when you say that you are putting the darker (is it Rusted?) in the "crease", you actually aren't putting it in the crease of your eye. You are placing it on the lower area of your brow bone, slightly above your crease and virtually none of this color is in the crease of your eye. I only mention this because some people trying this at home will take out their palettes, put this color in the crease of their eye and then wonder why its not coming out the same. Just lovely and nicely explained.
New subscriber! I love how you keep a close up on your eye!! You'd think this would be common sense but most influencers don't do that. It's so much more helpful 😊
I have only worn minimal make up. My mother wore none so I didn’t have anyone to teach me basics. This tutorial was so excellent about showing every step in detail.
Thank you ❤️
Katrina Blake me too!
Yayyy!! ❤️
She .makes it look approachable so that I'm not intimidated and I can actually do this!! And I get excited to try them...I'm doing this tomorrow.

This is my first. Thanks!
I’m hooked on your channel now.. well done.. thanks
I’m older and I totally agree with you 🌷
Agree! We're not all 20/30 something, but still want that beautiful look!
You definitely have hooded eyes. I can’t even imagine the people arguing with you. You’re the best and I learn so much from you.

Wow. I wish I was as talented as you. I don’t have the patience for that or the time in the mornings. But it is so so beautiful. True artistry.

EXCELLENT explanation and execution! I sincerely appreciate the time taken to actually explain what you do to achieve your desired result. While each individual person has his/her technique and way of educating those who want to learn, know that you raise the bar! Grace & Peace to you, and may you have continued success!
Thank you so much for a full tutorial! The blending is the key to looks that most ppl edit out but us beginners need! Please do more like this!!

As a fellow Cosmetologist, this is by far the best tutorial I've seen...🌹
Never tried a cut crease but now i feel way more confident after watching this. Your explanations are so thorough
I really appreciate the tutorial focusing on the process of applying the products rather than focusing on the products themselves. Really focused and top notch!
I just showed my cousin this video, and she’s showed it to all of her friends. You’ve just made a group of young women totally happy!!! They are having the time of their lives with makeup...
I like that I can actually understand what she is saying. She speaks clearly and not too fast. All good for a tutorial video.
This is the most independent tutorial I've found, neatly 3 yrs after posting it, as it's January 2023. Thank you so much!
Great tutorial! Thank you for taking us through all of the steps.
I'm 59 with hooded eyes.
I'm going to try this technique.
I wish my eyes were as youthful as yours; yet recently I've been getting several compliments after trying similar techniques.
Thank you thank you thank you for doing an in depth tutorial. I am a beginner and love to learn as it is very frustrating when I am struggling and everyone I watch makes it look easy. You did an amazing job and I cant wait to try this out.

Oh my god, that concealer tip is LIFE CHANGING
Hi Angela its your 55 years young friend here who loves to play with makeup especially eye shadow. Love your tutorials they are the best! I'm so excited I just received your Sigma favorites brushes! Can't wait to use them, I'm sure I will be trying many looks🙂🙂❤❤
I'm gonna be 52 in a few weeks and JUST NOW deciding to wear eye shadow. I have the TINIEST crease on my eyes so I'm so excited to try this. Looks like I'm gonna be sitting in front of a mirror all weekend. Thank you for all the details.

Thank you for this tutorial. I’m a complete newbie when it comes to makeup, so I appreciate all of the details!!
I like the way she explains everything like we never heard of what she was doing unlike bigger creators *cough*james Charles*cough* best 17 minutes I’ve spent on RUclips subscribed straight away ❤️❤️
This 1/2 cut crease is so gorgeous! I love this look so much! Angela is so beautiful & talented!❤️❤️❤️
This is how a tutorial should be!!! With lots of details and the reasons behind your techniques . Can I get an Amen!!!Thank You!!!
Amen you're absolutely right.. I love the fact that she does not speed through it..
GREAT JOB EXPLAINING HOW TO APPLY EYE SHADOW.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN TAUGHT AND I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW IMPORTANT EVERY STEP IS
THANKS
I must be soooo behind! I’ve never seen someone look up with fresh concealer on to see where to place the cut crease roughly. So smart! New subscribe here!
I was recently diagnosed with it and I just wanted to ask does it worsen over time?
@@rachelanastasia1977 no matter what you do, don't do surgeries. that's what made it worse for me.
Now I really need to try this. I don't have that pallette but I've got a bunch of similar colors. I bet I can get real close.
I've followed you for a while and your technique has gotten so exact 💯 and on point as you get older, definitely compliments to you, you truly slay every look
At first I was so against the “detailed” tutorial. You won me over and taught me some very useful tips, TFS NEW subbie😉
Me too lol

I’m so excited that she goes over everything. I agree with what most of you all are saying how other tutorials go so fast and I miss so much
i’m binge watching all of your videos as i’m laying here in my hospital bed trying to recover from major knee surgery. i feel like you’re keeping me in great company. i’m a eyeshadow newbie and need all the help i can get.
wow Such a great video! If more content creators were this detailed I would've gotten into eye make up a long time ago. Thanks so much 💕
This was amazing!! Love the tutorial and how you filmed. Once of the best cut crease tutorials ever!
I'm a teacher in other things but a student in makeup. I have to say, this was a very good tutorial, perhaps one of the best I've ever seen. Good job!
You are so talented, I’m always in awe with all your eye looks!
This was one of the best eye tutorial I've ever seen.. ❤
It will take par but I have saved this to follow and I am so excited and grateful that you took the time to break this down for people like me ❤
You have no idea how much I ❤️ you right now! I just found your channel today! I’m an Esthetician and I’m doing a bridal makeup today and I just get down on myself all the time about doing makeup. Thank you for giving me confidence.
Absolutely fantastic as always, how could anyone dislike this. Thank you for another awsome upload Angela.

I’ve been watching makeup videos for years, and this is the most helpful I’ve ever seen!
I find it so hard blending eyeshadows like u have a hooded eye but u went through every step PERFECTLY, I hate when mua forward parts but every step was perfect I ve tried I had to keep rewinding the video as I was doing it at the same time. Well done ur extremely talented.
BEST EYESHADOW TUTORIAL HANDS DOWN!!! Thank you!!
Your tip about applying concealer and then moving your eye around is SO good!!!!!
I love how you outlined the eyeliner so detailed!!
This was such a great tutorial, and so easy to follow! Ican't wait to try it!
Omg, is this for real? I just bought this palette and was binge watching your tutorials using it and then you upload this, I’m dead 😵
That’s perfect!
Same! This palette is being delivered tomorrow, lol
I really learned alot thanks
Best tutorial I've found in 5 yesrs
I love how detailed you are in this video, I am always so nervous when wanting to do a cut crease but you got me wanting to try it!!
Wow... love the “ look up and around” . U really helped me “ learn” this! Thank u!
Ermagerd, I've tried to cut a crease so many times, this is amazing, can't wait to try!
Ok, wow! I love the step by step! I'm gonna have to try it. I think I'm the only makeup artist that can't do a cut crease! Thank you so very much for the step by step. Very helpful.
I hope all you young ladies continue to show how to when your lids start to wrinkle. Ahhh to be young

Wonderful tutorial ! I've taken a break from makeup but I'm super excited to get back into thank you for such an in-depth and informative tutorial
Great tutorial Angela step by step. Love the half crease it is the one I get stuck on I will use this next month on my first evening with my daughter sister and her friend. I am learning as a mau. I have nerves doing it. Ann
This is such an in depth video! I love how your instructions were so clean!
This is the first time I can actually see how you actually did those beautiful eyes. Thank you so much for showing me I can actually get this done . you were so patient in explaining in detail which is what will help me achieve this look . I loved it❤
This is one of the best hooded-eyes video I’ve seen. Your eyes are already pretty: you don’t need makeup. Would you consider doing a video on someone with small, hooded eyes? I don’t have much lid space to work with. I need all the help I can get!
I absolutely enjoyed the indepth technique you shared and I literally went "WOW" when the crease line for the shape produced a perfect line when you blinked bcuz I always struggled in this area. It worked like a charm today. Thank you but these words don't express my appreciation. Really enjoy your videos so very much! ❤
I’m so glad this technique worked for you!! ❤️
AMAZING tutorial. So detailed and it felt like I was just sitting with a friend who was teaching me.
I am SO HAPPY I found your channel! Finally someone with a similar eye shape to me. My eye hood goes a little further down though due to age 😩 but I am loving your videos 😍🥰

The eye opening trick to see where it transfers is so helpful! So glad I found your channel, we seem to have the same level of hoodedness to our eyes so I'm looking forward to seeing more of your tips!
I love this tutorial ❤️ and your eyebrows are so perfect 🥰
You are the blending queen! Such a helpful tutorial. Will save and try this weekend.
