I don't really like to do this, but I want to point out something about fresh produce, in particular vegetables. They sell packs saying it was prewashed, sometimes that it was prewashed three times. The thing is, the reason this produce doesn't IMMEDIATELY start molding over is because they wash them with an antifungal. If you are concerned about your gut health, you might want to wash it despite what the bag says. Can't say you can meal prep, but when it is time to eat I would first wash those peppers and cucumbers, etc.
Grilled chicken, cut in strips is a great alternative to deli meat. Deli meat hurts my stomach. And don't underestimate the power of low sugar "Greek" yogurt because it is loaded with protein & so good with berries. Yummmm!!!! Oh, and powdered PB fit peanut butter powder mixed in with Greek yogurt is a healthy delicious dip for apples, again loaded with protein.

I have many health issues…bad kidneys (on dialysis 3 days a week) and gastroparesis, neuropathy and fibromyalgia…to name a few. I did lose 100 pounds about 4 years ago. Have gained about 30 pounds back over the last winter. I am trying to get back in the groove of watching what I eat but with the kidney disease and gastroparesis, I’m limited on things I can eat or have to limit. You’ve given me some good ideas on what to look for and how to help myself do better. Thank you for all you do and I will continue to watch more of your past and present videos. Love, love your videos! My favorite meal/snack is steel cut oats with unsweetened almond milk, a tbsp of peanut butter, mixed berries, a tspn of cocoa powder, Ceylon cinnamon a sprinkle of chia seeds and I add two packets of Stevia In The Raw, all organic.😋

I agree with that person who commented regarding washing vegetables . ….i worked in a grocery store and trust me , there is so much handling of food and and you really don’t know what has happened before it gets to that store as well. …I do like your ideas of getting meals ready for that day or week as well. Myra,most regular cucumbers have a wax coating added to them which is why they feel thick. I like pickling cucumbers but I’m going to try the ones you showed. I love eating cucumbers, I also add slices to my water adds just the right amount of flavor.

Hey just an FYI. I use Mason jars as my smoothie glasses (actually they're my everything jars luv them😊). Amazon has bamboo Mason jar lids with and without a straw hole that come with or without stainless steel straws or glass straws 😉.

I can vouch for how important healthy food is when a person ages. At 64, I can literally tell the difference now that I'm eating more whole foods. It would be tough maintaining my schedule if I ate processed foods. Healthy foods are good for energy, no sugar spikes, and a general feeling of well-being.
I struggle with finding low fat sauces that taste delicious - can you help with that especially for salads etc - any in your pocket when you don’t want to add fat to your salad or plate but you need flavor and/or creaminess
Can you give us the brand of the granola you usually have on hand? I usually make mine homemade to control ingredients but sometimes I just don’t feel like it and would like to have a store bought HEALTHY go-to version. Thanks…

I peel my cucumbers and make them into spears. I also buy the little sweet peppers but I dip into hummus - roasted red pepper hummus is my favorite.
