Another way to keep the cravings away is to eliminate all carbs and sweeteners from one’s diet, i.e. the carnivore way of eating. I had tried everything over the last 48 years, including low carb and keto and had success. However, it was always just a matter of time before the cravings came back and eventually overtook my willpower and best intentions. It wasn’t until I eliminated all carbs (including veggies) and all kinds of sweeteners that I finally had no cravings and found peace with my eating. It’s been two years and I’m still going strong and don’t miss not having a sweet taste in my diet. I enjoy eating homemade ice cream, crème brûlée, custard, and other desserts without any added sweetness. The creaminess provides all the mouthfeel and hint of sweetness I could want or need. One of the worst things about being diagnosed with diabetes at age 57 is how much enjoyment you have to give up during meals. Not only did I have to calorie restrict to under 1200 cals a day, but no sugar, eating is such a chore now. Thank you for a bit of joy in my meals.
why did you have to calorie restrict? Fat is high in calories but won't need insulin to metabolize, so it's perfect for diabetics. Protein also doesn't need insulin and has the save calories as carbs.

I was on a low carb keto diet for ten years. I used to enjoy Lily’s chocolates with peanut butter as a treat. I did this for years. I also made a lot of baked goods with almond flour. It became harder for me to lose weight, but since I got so many other benefits from low carb, I kept going with these foods. Well, then I went carnivore. I began to lose weight and of course I had to give up the chocolate. I was advised to eat a cup of steamed spinach every day, since my eye health was going down. After two weeks of the carnivore with the spinach added, I became very ill. I was in a lot of pain, and I became increasingly weak and tired. My balance was way off. Any attempt to exercise or even do balance exercises was excruciating for days after. Somehow, I guesses that the main thing that changed was the spinach. So I stopped it cold and I kept up my good carnivore habits. About a month later, I went to my son’s birthday party. I decided to cheat. Little and had potato salad and chocolate candy filled ice cream. Who wants to be a wet blanket? That night I did t sleep. I had chest pains and was mentally confused. I thought I was dying. I had no appetite and I couldn’t eat much. I had a return to severe IBS. Fortunately the chest pain was not bad enough to make me go to a hospital, which is something I have been avoiding for the last few years due to Covid. I was searching the net desperately to find an answer. When I did, everything became clear. I was suffering most likely from oxalate poisoning. My diet before carnivore had been very high in oxalates. I found Sally k. Norton here on RUclips and bought her book. I had never heard of this. I guess I just want to warn my keto and low carb friends not to eat much oxilates. I could have died. Oxalates are in many common foods. Be careful when eating them.
I forgot to mention that if you quit eating all oxalates too quickly, your body, which has been storing the oxalate crystals in your joints and organs, reacts by dumping, which is a quick release of these crystals and does more damage as it tries to exit and detox. That’s why I became so sick. I tried to just go back on carnivore, which has no oxalates.
Sounds like my story too. My joints are painful and I developed a nerve pain condition called vulvodynia. I’m in the process now of getting oxalates out of my system.
Yes I agree, I got half way through your post and was thinking oxalate poisoning, especially with the spinach. So glad you have found that out and limited/avoided the high oxalate foods. Cold whipped cream or topping folded into hot melted chocolate chips makes a great chocolate chip frosting for cakes. It actually 'chips' and overall it's chocolate. When i was growing up, my mom would make it for angel food cakes. It became a family-favorite for birthdays. Great combination!

THIS IS METABOLIC POISON AND NOT DIE-ABETES FRIENDLY. 2nd ingredient in 'zero sugar' cool whip is CORN SYRUP which is way way more toxic to die-abetics than cane SUGAR. Be very very careful of these no sugar lies on YT and all products. This will spike your blood sugar for days due to the corn syrup and aspartame. Watch Dr. Jason Fung and Dr. Ken Berry on YT and stop watching this channel. It is always full of total lies. This person knows NOTHING about metabolic/diabetic health.
Hey great idea for a sweet dessert. I’ve got an idea to help you when using parchment paper: INSTEAD OF OILING THE DISH, simply run your parchment paper in water👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾
Using Hershey bars and zero calorie cool whip, melt Hershey bars (6 of them) and fold into cool whip. Poor into a Graham Cracker pie shell. Set up in the fridge. Top with more zero calorie cool whip and drizzle with melted chocolate. Garnish with a little grated Hershey bar. So so delicious and its addictive! Yum!
You can make your own sugar free choc by mixing melted butter and cocoa powder (50:50) and sugar substitute (I use xylit ) together. Ratio is depending on your taste: if you like darker choc, take more cocoa powder.
They look delicious. What a genius idea. Tips to make them less messy, unfreeze half at a time and rewarm the chocolate coating would make them prettier, if you care to.
@@pattykochenower4222I think it means it has some oils that aren’t that healthy (not olive, coconut or avocado), plus there might be chemicals or ingredients in the cool whip that aren’t exactly natural. But it’s still sugar and carb free.
maybe protein powder mixed in with the whip instead? the calories on the chocolate chips are still 70c/tbsp so it adds up quick. A regular 3 musketeers is 262 calories, but also has a lot of sugar. So it does work as a great sugar alternative, but maybe not that much less calorie wise as a 2.13 oz musketeers bar.
If you make your own whipped cream at home, definitely freeze it before mixing it with chocolate. I forgot to freeze it after making it and then just went ahead and added the chocolate, and I ended up with a watery mess.
I LOVE these!!! I got the recipe wrong but still tastes delicious! I also accidentally put cold cool whip (the healthy brand for the critics) in the melted chocolate and it made crunchy chocolate flecks in the mixture which I really liked! I also sprinkled cocoa nibs in. Thank you for sharing, now I’m addicted!
Excellent idea! Only I won’t eat seed oils period! I’m going to try this with real whipped cream with alulose. I have a real problem with maltodextrin, even in small amounts, so the sugar free chocolate chips are a no go. So even though regular chocolate chips have sugar it’s better than the Lilly’s chocolate chips.
I haven't read all the comments, but noticed someone mentioned using whipped cream instead of Coolwhip. That was my first thought. If you use whipping cream, sweeten it to taste using a keto friendly sweetener AND use gelatin that you have liquified and cooled, then beat that up, you have a great substitute. I will defintitely give this a try!
Interesting treat. If I was to make this, I would fill a cookie press or shooter with the cool whip / chocolate mixture and shoot out dollops of the mix onto parchment paper. Then fill a zip lock bag with melted chocolate and clip the corner of the bag. Squeeze out chocolate to coat the formed dollops then place in the freezer. I think that would be easier and keep you from eating a super large bar of sweetness.
@@pjmiller8632I made homemade whipped cream. You can control the sweetness that way and of course avoid all the other ingredients that aren't needed. The combinations are endless in terms of flavor, flavor of baking chips etc.
Myra...I made those, and I'm telling you these are the best! Does not taste like a diet treat,I kept mine in freezer, kills the sweet tooth craving for sure. Definitely use the parchment paper. I use Lilly's chocolate chips, zero carbs also. Thankyou for this treat!❤❤
I mix 100%. peanuts organic peanut butter with homemade whipped cream made with vanilla extract and Alulose and it taste so good. Im going to try dipping that mixture in chocolate and see how it turns out.

After you take your melted chocolate out of the microwave, set it over a bowl of piping hot water, such as boiled water that you just took off the stove. You should be able to get all of your bars dipped without the melted chocolate becoming too thick. If you melt small batches at any time of chocolate, then you can dip your bars, put them in the freezer freeze them melt another bowl of chocolate come back and dip your bars and recoat them two or three times and then quickly put them back into the freezer to set up.

These look great! I might pick up a silicone mold to simplify the process a bit. They market these as granola bar molds, but you can also get smaller ones which might be just perfect for portion control.
Putting the frozen filling into the warm chocolate, cools the chocolate and causes it to harden making it difficult to work with. Too much surface area to cover. Think I’ll just spread the chocolate over the filling and refreeze. Thanks for the demo.
You could just make your own whipped cream. Super easy, and sooo much better for you, instead of all the hydrogenated oils in cool whip. You can add a scoop of powdered heavy cream, or powdered milk to make it denser and you control how sweet it is, as well as the amount of vanilla.
@@Gapeachsami I agree. Choc Zero has the best chocolate but they use dextrin and dairy so I won't eat it anymore. I use Luv chocolate chips and mint chocolate chunks.
I love your videos! Thanks again, hon! Here is an idea for substituting sugar free chocolate..u could probably use baking chocolate which has no sugar..but if u do, u will need to sweeten the chocolate with either stevia or Splenda or another type of sweetener..
Can top with chopped walnuts, almonds or choice of nut, coconut shreds or keto cookie crumble or keto granola for crunch & texture! Amazing! Thanks for posting this!
I made these they are delicious and quick. I added pecans. 😋 Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. It is nice to get my chocolate fix. I am a chocoholic and I was worried about not having my chocolate. These are great!!! Thanks so much!!!
The trick is to put the "nougat" on bamboo skewers and to put the chocolate in a tall drinking glass. Thin the chocolate with a little coconut oil is you wish, but the dip will be much easier either way. Also, for a smoother top, put a piece of parchment on it and flatten it with a measuring cup or something else that's flat.
Same thg happens to my homemade Mounds and Almond Joy version. The last ones get wonky. The mix starts to get grainy as it sets and dries out. So smaller portions at a time definitely. Thx for this. I thought the same, and would also go w/the bite size squared size for me as you suggested.

Yum!
Matt sells delicious.I love reading all of these comments
I am so glad that you did something like this. I crave chocolate so much might have to make it with peanuts or maybe even peanut butter. Thanks again.
I appreciate you acknowledging that it is not a clean dessert!
What does this mean ? Is clean considered everything organic?

months later and nobody answers you
I guess we’ll have to Google it
@@pattykochenower4222I think it means it has some oils that aren’t that healthy (not olive, coconut or avocado), plus there might be chemicals or ingredients in the cool whip that aren’t exactly natural. But it’s still sugar and carb free.
This sounds so yummy. I might try using my granola bar molds and just frost the top with the chocolate.
Yes! Or pour melted chocolate in the bottom and sizes first, then fill with the cool whip mix and like you said, top with chocolate.
Made this tonight and I’m THRILLED to eat some tomorrow afternoon! So easy!
Girl look at you losing a 100 lbs eating low carb. You are a Rock Star!!!
maybe protein powder mixed in with the whip instead? the calories on the chocolate chips are still 70c/tbsp so it adds up quick. A regular 3 musketeers is 262 calories, but also has a lot of sugar. So it does work as a great sugar alternative, but maybe not that much less calorie wise as a 2.13 oz musketeers bar.
For less calories don’t drizzle melted chocolate. Instead sprinkle chocolate sprinkles on top.
I'm going to try this next! I didn't know if that would change the texture
"There are some people out there who don't like chocolate"
I don't trust those people🤩
Exactly! 😂
Neither do I-You some? Sad
you just made me laugh and I so agree
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't like milk chocolate. Dark chocolate, however...
If you make your own whipped cream at home, definitely freeze it before mixing it with chocolate. I forgot to freeze it after making it and then just went ahead and added the chocolate, and I ended up with a watery mess.
Run, don’t walk to my kitchen and make these! Milky Way is one of my favorite candy bars. Thank you!!!
This looks so good!! Thank you Myra!!
Looks delish love how fast it is to whip up
I haven't read all the comments, but noticed someone mentioned using whipped cream instead of
Coolwhip. That was my first thought. If you use whipping cream, sweeten it to taste using a keto friendly sweetener AND use gelatin that you have liquified and cooled, then beat that up, you have a great substitute. I will defintitely give this a try!
Wow that looks like a 3 musketeer bar I’m gonna try this recipe I’m not low carbs but why not try to eat better
Low Carb Love, I subscribed because your videos are super cool!
I put popsicle sticks in them and our neighbor kiddos loved them!!! Thank you 😊
Made these using peanut butter chips mixed with the Cool-Whip (I made homemade whipped cream) then topped with chocolate. YUMMMMMMMMMMM
Sorry, but did you use Cool Whip, or homemade whipping cream? Was curious if the homemade whipping cream would work as well. Thanks! 😊
I will DEFINITELY be making this recipe! Many thanks….
I mix 100%. peanuts organic peanut butter with homemade whipped cream made with vanilla extract and Alulose and it taste so good. Im going to try dipping that mixture in chocolate and see how it turns out.
I think I would make it with butterscotch chocolate chips!! And peanut butter with the whipped cream and make a buckeye!!! I love making peanut butter buckeyes with butterscotch chips!!❤❤❤
Omgosh
That looks so delish. 😋
The fact that it is sugar free makes it Diabetic friendly,
Plus is good to help keep the weight down.
You sure lost a lot of weight with your meals.
I'm really proud of you.
I myself am 5' 2" tall.
I lost a few pounds too.
I was 100 pounds,
Now I am 84 pounds.
I still need to loose more weight to feel better about my outward appearance.
Wish me luck.🤞
And thank you for sharing your video's.
There truly Awesome.
Damn those look good. I would eat them all. Thanks for sharing.
Small batch!
I bet Lily's salted caramel chocolate chips would be excellent with this.
This has to be the smallest kitchen idk how u do it kuddos to u I am getting anxiety watching u move around it, you see i like to dance my salsa while cooking or washing dishes. I love the kitchen u had a few years ago. I love your recipes you have save my life I'm a chocoholic u and ur recipes have inspired me to eat clean..thank u
MYRA!!!!!!! You help me with my sweet cravings. This is so simple and easy. I’m going to buy some zero sugar cool whip tomorrow and make me a batch. Thank you so much for sharing 🥰🥰🥰
This looks like something delicious after lunch (late afternoon treat) before work gets out. This with a cup of black coffee or tea would totally get me through until 5:00!
Could it work with homemade whipped cream? I love musketeers ❤... thanks for sharing this with us! 🙏❤️🥰
you might want to consider a pastry bag to form your bars then freeZe place then on a rack and coat with chocolate.. Love your channel!!!
Add vanilla or chocolate protein powder.
Yes, Vanilla! Idk why people like to promote only 2 ingredients like, add some flavor lady! LOL. We can handle more than 2 ingredients.
Lady? How about 'Thanks' for the delicious recipe, and the free info?
8 lbs from my goal on the Atkins plan, & Cool Whip has been a diet-saver whenever I craved something sweet & luxurious. Can't wait to make these!😋
Recipe link doesn't work. Please let us know if whipping real cream and adding monk fruit would work instead of cool whip?
I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm type 2 diabetic, and will be an awesome treat for me and my Husband. Have A Beautiful Week💕
I will more than likely make this really soon!🙏🏼❤️Tysm
These look great! I might pick up a silicone mold to simplify the process a bit. They market these as granola bar molds, but you can also get smaller ones which might be just perfect for portion control.
Do you store them in the freezer? And eat them frozen? How long do they last? Great recipe, so many options to change it up!
Easy, peasy and chocolate! Oh yes, I love it already. I’m definitely going to try this and appreciate you sharing the recipe. Thank you.
I wish I could eat this. The artificial sweeteners in Cool Whip raise my glucose. I'll try using actual whip cream w/ monk fruit powdered sugar.
Try Cocowhip in the freezer aisle of your grocery store. Fits keto macros and is dairy free.
The dextrin in the chocolate chips raises blood sugar a lot as well.
@@Gapeachsami I agree. Choc Zero has the best chocolate but they use dextrin and dairy so I won't eat it anymore. I use Luv chocolate chips and mint chocolate chunks.
Sugarless Cool Whip also contains corn syrup and starch which will raise blood sugar.
I was a 3 musketeers lovers too as a kid. It was always a bigger bar. I'll definitely try these in the future.
Ingredients in Zero Sugar Cool Whip include12:
Water
Corn syrup (adds a trivial amount of sugar)
Hydrogenated vegetable oil (coconut and palm kernel oils)
Sodium caseinate (from milk)
Natural and artificial flavor
Modified food starch
Xanthan and guar gums
Polysorbate 60
I love your videos! Thanks again, hon! Here is an idea for substituting sugar free chocolate..u could probably use baking chocolate which has no sugar..but if u do, u will need to sweeten the chocolate with either stevia or Splenda or another type of sweetener..
More candy bar recipes!! Plzzzz👌
I love watching your videos! Quick and easy to follow and I love listening to you! Also super healthy and flavorful meals!
I SuperLove this idea! Congrats on taking command of your eating 💯. New subscriber here!
Can top with chopped walnuts, almonds or choice of nut, coconut shreds or keto cookie crumble or keto granola for crunch & texture! Amazing! Thanks for posting this!
This looks so good ,i am going to make this.
I made these they are delicious and quick. I added pecans. 😋 Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. It is nice to get my chocolate fix. I am a chocoholic and I was worried about not having my chocolate. These are great!!! Thanks so much!!!
i really miss your old pretty, colorful kitchen! It was so cool!!!!!! Thanks for the recipe yum.
I thought i was the one who noticed it only. My question is why she changed the kitchen ?
🙄
I think that kitchen was in Donny's house and they broke up.
Hi Mayra, I used to make it with heavy whipping cream, and put it in the center of a chocolate cake instead of frosting. My kids loved it😋😊
Love your recipes I swear
Thank you , for sharing your testimony, in the loss of weight . You , did a great job .
Wish I could try this. None of the supermarkets in my city carry sugar free Cool Whip.
Walmart does & they deliver!
You can make it yourself! And it’s better for you.
Above comment says mix heavy cream & and sweetener to make cool whip.
Make your own. It takes 5 minutes. A little cream, sweetener and a dash of vanilla and whip it with mixer.
Mayra your channel is EVERYTHING, thank you > definitely my new favorite channel that i've discovered, i've been binging all your videos!
You’re so sweet!! Omg, thank you so much for all of your support 🩷
I'm inspired!! I think I'll try a caramel favorited whip cream
Low In sugar covered in sugar free chocolate 🍫 😋 😘
Her chocolate is sugar free. 🙂
Looks delicious, but I would love to add some walnuts.Or crush becomes on top
Same thg happens to my homemade Mounds and Almond Joy version. The last ones get wonky. The mix starts to get grainy as it sets and dries out. So smaller portions at a time definitely. Thx for this. I thought the same, and would also go w/the bite size squared size for me as you suggested.
That looks amazing!
Yum! Thank you ! I think coconut whip cream would taste really good too! They look like milky ways!!
Can you use heavy whipping cream instead of whipped cream?
And keep the bars in the fridge.
I am 64 and struggling to lose 80 pounds. I am on a fairly restricted very healthy diet but I have a sweet tooth. These recipes enable me to keep on track!
