- We actually managed to get away and boy aare we glad we did! Also we are so majorly out of practice for filming things we hardly did anything there! We met up with our friends Dave and Jo with their whippets but didn't film a thing! I need to get better at taking photos of my friends as looking through my phones photo album to find pictures to post pictures of John for his birthday made me notice so many great photos of our friends that I'd forgotten I had!
I had my first Head MRI which was very straight forward but also very freaky after only learning that they put a cage over your head to hold it in place when they were actually doing it! Freaked me out a little bit, forewarned is forearmed as they say.
And it's Johns birthday today so after the obligatory trip to the hospital, we went back to Urban to get burgers and fries and to Dunkin' Donuts for a sweet treat.
Last day of Radiotherapy tomorrow and i'll be glad to see the back of it all. It does mean its that bit closer to the brachytherapy that i'm not looking forward to but I have to do as I'm told and crack on!

I have the light off, music on an the mirror up so I can watch what’s going on outside to distract myself, there are things that can be done, they don’t aways offer but you can ask, I always do and much happier 😀Great so see you looking so happy and relaxed 🥰
Hi Mandy. Firstly, keep being strong! Secondly, I’ve had about 10 head MRI’s in the last 4 years (Brain tumour. .. all fixed now) but like you I hated the scanner until I discovered that you can ask for a mirror that they put over you face so you can look out towards your feet/the room. It makes a HUGE difference. No claustrophobia. Some scanners even have footage of fish tanks you can watch!! So if you have to have another then ask for the mirror. Mandy you look so well, good on you. I would never believe you were under so much medication (radiation etc). I don’t know what it is with being close to water it’s so relaxing. It looks lovely where you are. You are nearly at the end of the tunnel Mandy. I don’t know that I could have done that MRI scan being that close to my face, good on you. I didn’t want to watch anything to do with cancer but after bravely watching everything you have gone through you have helped me to keep positive through out all my scans biopsy’s and everything else to do with procedures so thank you although I wasn’t as brave as you with my scans I did the same as you and opened my eyes at the wrong time and had a massive fit of the colliwobbles (Yorkshire for claustrophobia) but got through it in the end …. Just awaiting results hope I will be as strong as you ❤

I had to keep my eyes closed, the whole time, when I had an MRI scan, because I am clostaphobic, wasn't too bad, time went quickly.

Filey is where (years ago) I had to be airlifted down from a huge mountain, I found out I had started with vertigo and it was horrid. They had to bring me down because I couldn't stand up I couldn't even crawl. Hope you both enjoy yourselves xx

Mandy you are enduring this well. My wife had a CT scan last Saturday and the original report had us ecstatic. They said the tumor was 100% gone! But after further review they decided it was 90% gone. Which is still great.. She got this week off for good behavior with chemo and they are stopping one of the 3 agents they have used. Step by step you and Glenda will get there!

Oh, that's not on, we get a choice of radio stations or you can even take your own CD if you want to for a Head MRI and we also have a mirror on the head cage so you can see out too. It is rather a tight space in the MRI, even the newer bigger ones, I was glad I had an MRI on my foot before my first head one, as I was then prepared for all the noise and how cold it was in there. Happy Birthday John!

Now you know what you're up against treatment wise, you can see how easy it is to just talk cancer like you're talking about McDonald's. It's still not a great situation to be in, but you play that cancer card as much as you can 😂😂 Funny, not funny. 😘😘
