So here's my scenario. I removed the hard drive my laptop originally had with Windows 10 on it. Then I inserted a new hard drive, installed Ubuntu on it, and then removed it. And then inserted the old boy back which had windows 10. Now the laptop won't boot into Windows 10. Troubleshoot options appear, automatic repair won't help, Bootrec.exe /fixmbr followed by bootrec.exe /fixboot isn't helping either. I don't think there's any problem with the windows. But I am not able to find ANY solution for my problem on internet. Please help 🙏 Trying system restore after using bootable windows 10 usb shows - "To use system restore, you must specify which windows installation to use. Restart this computer, select an operating system, and then select system restore"

This helped so much. New drivers automatically installed on my computer. Everyone make sure to check add or remove program menu. Sort by date created. Remove any driver updates installed within the last few days while in safe mode.

shady my hard drive and ssd was corrupted I had to wipe them and get a new hard drive cause that was completely broken. But after deleting everything on the ssd and reinstalling windows and taking the Hard drive out it finally worked. Hope it helps. If you can’t do it I would recommend finding a small pc repair place to help you try avoiding going to a big store because they overcharge you like crazy. Good luck !

This happens when software crashes. None of the technique worked for me. I went to nearby computer repairing shop and they replaced windows. It takes about half an hour.
Another way , access BIOS (F2) then select column MAIN and find a line which have name is BOOT MENU ( and Enable it then u can access BOOT MENU by F12 ) and save and exit . Let it reset when the logo appear PRESS F12 and wait to ADVENCED OPTIONS appear !!! . GOOD LUCK 😁

Actually problem is that Out of the 4 files that they say show up in a window folder. I can't find 2 of them. There r only 2 files window and user. I can't find the other 2. Then I tried the repair option and find out that its registry is corrupt. But how can I undo it ? I don't know. I tried other methods but none of them work. Is there a simple method ?

You can restart or power off/on just hit F2 after the manufacturer logo come on the screen to enter the troubleshooting screen

What if u get only user and windows in second method ? There is no programme and programme files x86 . What should I do ?

Thanks! I only needed two hard resets before my PC went to automatic repair. Eventually, I got this message on my screen: “We couldn’t complete the updates. Undoing changes. Don’t turn off your computer.” I didn't and my Windows returned to normal.
when I go to startup settings and press restart I can't select , it doesn't shoe up the choices, it just go back to preparing automatic repair.
