Did you need a high flow oil pump?

Hello ChevyCeeLo, this is Franky your host of OGG! I would definitely recommend a high volume oil pump mine is a Mylodon which was a match for the oil pan from Summit Racing. The remote filter and oil cooler and lines hold about 2 quarts! I noticed I have to start the car with no ignition so the motor doesn’t fire right away to get the oil pressure up and pump oil into the remote system in case some drained back into pan. I think this happened and I had air in the line and too much oil in the pan I started leaking a little oil from front and back seal which stopped after I realized what was happening so every time I start it I have to prime the oil pump and remote system to make sure any air is out and the system is full and not in the pan. To prevent too much crank pressure in pan from having too much oil in it. Leaks stopped and everything’s been good! So long story short I crank motor over about 3-4 times to see good oil pressure and make sure oil moved out of pan and fills remote system. Then I start motor! Thx for watching! I'm thinking it's because you needed a sandwich oilfilter thermostat?

@OldGuyzGarage 🤣 No, seriously, here is the one I'm getting Derale 15782 Thermostatic Sandwich Adapter Kit. This should eliminate the pressure issue, in theory. I believe it will, so lmk?

@@OldGuyzGarage Old post, but what i was referring to is the old gasket seemed to still be stuck to the block when you removed the original filter adapter. Did you take it out off when the camera wasn’t recording?
