    Nice.. Thanks. Great Vid. Couple questions when you have a moment. I have a 1999 454 Suburban (Gen VI - L29 I believe) Will this same thing work for it including the part number for the adapter? Also, what tool do you recommend to remove those square plugs? Interesting that they can be reused to plug the Oil Cooler line ports! Also, when you thread that bolt into the valve that you showed how does it remove? Just Yank it straight out? Good Luck With Your Build! I am subscribing :)

      I would assume so...not sure, but the oil filter adapter part number is 3853870, and is $10.

    I'm wanting to take the original adapter off my 6th gen block and just run my filter vertically with the OFA454 Adapter so my long tube headers clear a little better! but can I leave the valve in that you pull out before threading in the adapter because I'm leaving my cooler lines?

    This is what I want to do to my Jimmy, but why does it matter if you haul a trailer.

    • @TrentsOvertimeGarage
      @TrentsOvertimeGarage  Год назад

      Just considering the added heat generated from loading the motor with trailer weight.

    I have the same motor , and the lines go in to the block , can I just put the oil filter adapter in and leave the lines or no

      Sure, sounds like you'll run it like it was designed with the oil cooler.

    • @TrentsOvertimeGarage
      @TrentsOvertimeGarage  6 лет назад

      Not running yet. I have about a hundred video's-worth of work left, but you'll be the first to see it if you're subscribed ;)

    Where does the fuel pump go?

    • @TrentsOvertimeGarage
      @TrentsOvertimeGarage  6 лет назад

      Fuel pump in inside the S10 Tank, which is under the truck bed, forward of the axle.

    Are you still using the 93 filter??

    Did you use anything on the 3/8 plug threads, when you blocked the ports (ie. teflon tape)?

    Just came across your videos, truck is looking great! I am currently doing pretty much the same project with my 52 five window. I will keep up on your progress! Check out my vids if you want- I'm new to RUclips so I have no idea what I'm doing with a camera in my hand, but it's pretty fun, lol
