I'm a nc750x rider. Earlier this week, I rode it 300 miles in a day. At my gas station stop, I bumped into a fellow nc750x rider, who was riding it from Virginia to Jersey. We were both bitching about everything we hate about the bike. But really its a great bike. It can kind of do it all, but nothing too well. Just wish the tank was little larger, the suspension is terrible you feel all the bumps, You really need the madstad screen, otherwise it handles wind poorly. Luckily I have the madstad and overall I like this bike. At times it feels too heavy, but its more because of the poor suspension, it doesn't spring back into action as it should. These are also really hard to find now, Reddit loves this bike, it keeps getting suggested to riders asking for suggestion, but its actually very hard to find one in the marketplace, unless its a really old model. But great commuter these.

I had a 2018 NC750X with the DCT a few years back, and I agree...it's HEAVY, cuts the wind poorly, particularly out on the highways when passing big trucks, and you feel everything on this bike. I started riding scooters a few years back, and my current 2016 Honda Forza 300 rides nicer on the highways than the NC. The Forza has weakish rear suspension (or it could be my 250lbs) so I often feel the bumps in the city, but overall I enjoy riding the Forza more than I ever did the NC. The CVT on the Forza is so much nicer than the DCT, which I usually ran in 'Sport 1' as the default 'D' just shifted wrong.

hi there I have 2015 model. I changed original suspensions with Hyperpro suspensions and they are really great. It may help you for comfortable travels.

Few motorcycles can be justified by saving fuel costs when parked next to a second generation Toyota Prius, but the nc750x can.
Hard for me to defend commuting to work when the bike is less efficient than the car 😆

I own a 2018 NC750X, manual like yours, and I love it, but you're so right about the chain drive. That's the one big miss Honda made with this bike, and it's so frustrating because Honda used to make excellent shaft drive middleweight bikes. But like all other manufacturers thay have stopped doing so and today only offer cheap, miserable chains. If some accessory company were to make a belt drive conversion kit for this bike, they could sell a lot of them. But apart from the chain it's a really great bike.

Where did you get those small blind spot mirrors? I have been looking for some but all I can find are like 2 inchers.

I have a 2014 manual version. In Canada Honda was selling the NC750X whereas America got the 700. It a very pleasant urban ride. I'd liken it to a big scooter. The engine lives happily at 2K rpm around town all day long. It would be hard to find a bike in its class that has a lower cost of operation. The suspension is a bit noodly when encountering potholes but the earlier versions have six inches of travel on either end so its good enough for the relaxed type of riding that is its forte. I have no idea why Honda suggests that this is an adventure bike. Its OK on gravel roads but I don't think its up to more challenging off road use. There are examples in the used market with high mileage and I have no doubt that you could put a lot of miles on one without much fanfare. The under square, low stress engine should run as long as you're willing to put in the maintenance. I like mine but its very hard to love one of these machines. It competent but boring.

Ah, I see you have the male version, clutch and gears 🙂
I did a recent 200+mile trip last Monday and at one point hit 90mpg. Avg is 80mpg.
The frunk is awesome and insainly useful.
On the petrol miles. It is lean even if you "enjoy" the throttle 🙂
Wishing you safe and happy journeys from the UK.

My understanding is half of honda Fit car. That's why its long stroke and low reving. It also hs a270 degree crank which gives better sound. It's an excellent commuting bike especially with dct. European riders commute more than we do and why so popular. A dct version I would think be an excellent delivery vehicle. Enjoyed video

Nope, that's just an urban myth, the car divisions had input on the design but that's about the limit of it 👌🏻

Bud..you keep on reviewing bikes iam considering, iam currently in market for zuma 125 in next couple weeks, but definitely want get the nc750x dct this time next year after i pay down most my ruckus and zuma cost, but honestly I think the nc750x is the ultimate everyone vehicle and it is definitely overlooked by lot of people for some really silly reasons, this is like the best family bike, meaning anyone in family can ride it without much hassle, it will likely be my next bike if i don't get the suzuki dr 650!! But one thing i hear with this model year ,and seems like it could be a problem, is how the seat slopes forward, which is easily fixed by putting spacers in the bolts towards the front of seat, raises it up inch or 2 spacers i hear really helps!

I agree it should have been shaft or belt drive. There's also a scooter-like version called Forza 750 and the bodywork on that feels a bit outdated compared to Forza 350. If a next generation of this has low maintenance final drive and cruise control i will seriously consider it as a replacement for my Burgman 650
