    i Got my liscence September 2022 and went to buy my dreambike the NC750x but although it drove like a dream being allmost 10.000 euro's but not having standard handguards, usb-ports, crashbar, and givi caserack all things i wanted would made it allmost 12.000 euro's so it has to stay a dream, dont let this end your dreamnits a great bike in al sense. Now i'm riding a Moto Morini X-cape 649 having all the bits and bobs mentioned earlier 6months old for 8250 euro's and rides great (But its no NC750x).

    It’s not about Objektive Arguments you have to Think about. Motor Cycling is all about emotions and Feelings. The question is did you Feel anything when you Right This Bike.? It’s a Little Bit like love. When I look at my Himalayan I feel a connection. Thinking wow…what a cool bike. Smiles per Kilometer is great. When I look at a CBX I feel nothing. It’s a bunch of plastic or ?😀. But it’s all subjective. It’s a Little Bit like a Real Relationship When you already thinking about divorcing it’s already too late 😀. It doesn’t will be better . So, for me would be an easy decision. But I would never buy a bike without an emotional connection. Motorcycle is more the something to drive from A to B.

    I bought a new NC750X last summer, traded in a Yam XSR900 for it and couldn't be happier. The NC is much more comfortable, massively better mpg and i dont ride with a little devil in my head like i often used to on the XSR. I love the torque of the p twin and an aftermarket can makes it sound good too.
    Character, soul, call it what you will, is often over rated imo. Especially when broken down at the side of the road.

  • @dungspreader

    I say sell it .
    If I wanted a bike to ride around the world that would be reliable , I'd probably chose this bike but on the proviso that if I had to abandon it , I could dump it without any emotion . I don't particularly like the looks and the tank under the seat would be a " nuisance " in the arse . But the Honda reliability and frugality would be the primary reason for choosing it .
    I love Guzzis , because they have so much character , they aren't everybody's cup of tea though .
    If the roads are bad in Bulgaria , maybe you should consider a V85TT or a 700 Tenere or maybe a Transalp or 800 VStrom ?

    Honda was best bike I’ve owned by far. Never let me down started first time but I agree with you about Himalayan they’ve got character whereas most bikes are soulless. • @rtrevellyan
    @rtrevellyan 5 месяцев назад +1

    Part of your problem is that you have the luxury of owning more than one motorcycle! If you were forced to only keep one, I bet it would be the Himalayan. I sold my 2009 F650GS (800cc twin) in favor of a Scram and see much the same differences between the two - the Scram has so much more character and I connect with it in a way I never did with the BMW. Partly it's the fact that the Scram is the first bike I've owned that invites me to service it myself. If I had the luxury of multiple bikes, I might have kept the BMW or perhaps even replaced it with an NC750X DCT, but I would be a bit intimidated by the thought of servicing anything more complex than the Scram.

  • @yellownev
    @yellownev 5 месяцев назад +1

    My NC is a 21 DCT so a very different ride to my Himmy. I use it for tours with friends who have faster bikes or the same bike. I also use it for trips and tours with my wife as it’s got more luggage capacity than my 1250 RT and the DCT is great for pillions, same gear change from the first mile to the last. I like you changed the rear suspension. My Himmy is for solo tours and exploring and yes the himmy has much more character… the underdog over performing. I know where you are at…. I was the same with my 1250 RT a superb bike took me to Colditz and the Cheque Republic . But it only made sense to me on the autobahn’s and motorways of the Uk, plus the servicing was way too expensive. Wanted one had one enjoyed it sold it ….So it went in favour of the NC …. Never regretted it…… and that’s the point regrets, I’m at a time in my life 61 I don’t want too many regrets so if I can I do…. So maybe sell it scratch the itch with a 500 bullet or a 500 trials and see how you get on, might not miss it and if you do buy another…. Ok you might loose a few quid but if you can afford that then roll the dice ….

    I had an xc750x dct (auto) for about 3 years. Great bike.
    Thing is, I thought it a great bike when I was riding it but would often just jump in the car instead of getting the bike out of the garage and then making it dirty!
    On some sort of impulse I had a mad moment and part exchanged it for a new Himalayan.
    Life is better now! The Himmy owes me nothing. I have put more miles on it in one year than the NC in 3 years. I thought I would miss the 'tank' storage but no...i just put a cheap plastic top box on the Himmy. It doesn't look too bad and is very useful!
    I've put a TEC cam and new valves in with a 16 tooth sprocket. Smooth enough for me and quick enough for the roads i ride.
    The Himmy does get cleaned sometimes but is ridden more times!. Its nice on tracks too. Does it matter if I drop it? No. Not one bit!
