If you watch olde yamms enough you realize he contradicts himself very, very often - people who talk for a living can never come to a conclusion because then they run out things to say.
@@arjunayadav839 yah but hes got a lot of experience and knowledge on these types of topics. so honestly its pretty good advice for new riders and people looking to get there first bikes. people want to know what issues to look for when buying a new bike. i mean none of the bikes on this list really interest me besides the s1000 I'm more into sportbikes and supersports. getting my first bike early next spring. waiting till then cause the weathers starting to change and summers coming to an end.
Sometimes I feel like just doing EXACTLY the opposite of what Yammie recommends brings us the most joy and excitement and keeps us all safe and healthy.
I think I know what you mean. I guess I a bit too old and established a' motorcyclist and remember the early posts of noob when he was a noob! I'd been on the road riding everything from FSIEs, RD350LCs, CB900FII, Honda Turbos, GPZ900Rs before he'd even got his license. Not sure he's for me. But everyone is entitled to their opinion of course.
Opinions are opinions, I wouldn't have any of the bikes shown for various reasons but anyone can have a view. I have had to defend my opionions on my bike reviews, not that I have done many of them as I buy a bike and live with it for at least two years and 10 000 miles before I review it.
Every yammie vid goes: "parallel twins are boring" "kawasakis suck" "I love triples" "I owned a Daytona" "MT09s are the best" "win a free bike" "bla bla bla" Nothing new anymore
"BMWs like the 1250 GS are so expensive & you could get more for less (you can't)... yeah the Z900 is cheaper than most similar but so what" He lost me 10 seconds into the video but I really started rolling my eyes when he tried to compare the multistrata to the tracer nine. He clearly has a hate Boner for certain types of riding and riders. You're not a real rider if you can't respect people who enjoy different kinds of riding than you
lol how is the CB overrated? Nobody talks it up and nobody buys it. It should be listed as a "hidden gem" that doesn't get the credit for being how good it actually is because it's overshadowed by the hyper naked category.
The whole point of the CB1000R is to not be a hyper naked. It has never been advertised is a hyper naked so why would anyone expect it to compete with those other bikes. It created its own neo retro lane
I agree it's not trying to be a hyper naked, but it offers so little for the price point. Even adding cruse control would make it worthwhile imo. For the price, there are just too many options.
If by created its own lane you mean less equipped, less enjoyable, and more expensive than all similar competitors, then sure… it’s certainly in its own lane
@brennanstelting322 still, the competition can also be had used. So it's still behind on options. It's just not a good option in its current state imo.
As a Honda simp, it's no surprise that I love my 21 Cb1000R. BUT... everyone who's ever ridden it, from hardcore Honda haters to S1000RR loyalists and Yamaha pursuits - all loved the bike and are stunned by how smooth and effortless it rides. It helps that it's also a work of art. If anything, the bike is underrated... I've only seen 1 other Cb1000R in my state, it's a shame because it's a fantastic machine.
@@wolfattackz187 same man, same 😁 maybe one day for me, when I'm actually ready for it edit: though honestly, on the 650 I feel like the red is the best looking!
The CB1000R isn't a hyper-naked and nobody shopping for one wants 200hp, or they would look elsewhere. It's for the rider who has a CB650R and wants to upgrade to a more powerful and more flexible engine. Also it's for someone who wants refined, elegant styling, and not some deranged Autobot or post-apocalyptic insect. Yeah, I mean old guys. 😂 It is not overrated. It is perfectly rated.
I agree, I love my SC80. people bitch about the torque hole at 6k in the power band, but honestly? it makes it a much better daily rider, and it's not a huge ask to kick it up in the 7k+. and i swear to god it's not copium from seeing my precious CB in the thumbnail 😅 and in any case, it's not like on any average day you still aren't the fastest thing on the road.
Agreed, I want a cb650r but love the single sided swingarm on the 1000 so now I want that lol, the cb1000r black edition wheel spokes are the coolest Ive seen on any bike! I mean I aint an expert but can you find a retro style single sided swingarm bike anywhere?
Getting a tail tidy and a SC-Project S1 (for example) and the single sided swingarm really shines even more. Looks so damn fine. I rode an MT-09 and an MT-07 as well and they´re different riding experiences that the CB1000R, but i preferred the CB overall. I like the sporty vibe, meaning that you kinda have to get it into high rpms for the power to come through. That also means that you can ride it in chill mode daily, just keep it under 5k rpm. Wanna go really fast, just put it beyond 7-8k and you´re getting rocketed forward just enough for me. Edit: oh and yeah, own the black edition. Easily one the most beautiful bikes i´ve ever seen, specially with the mods i mentioned. (gotta get that ugly ass huge standard exhaust off of it)
I had a 2005 Z1000 it was the most fun motorcycle I have owned, I moved to the Concours 14 because I wanted to retain the Z performance with the ability to tour, but I still miss the Z great mid range power light and fun as hell
Wow, more hate for the Z900...shocking...It still looks better than the MT09. Also, it's not supposed to be a Liter bike, it's tuned for every day riding.
there's not enough actual things to hate about it, gotta go for the looks, I guess. I think it looks awesome. Not a whole lot of naked bikes out there that I think are prettier
I like the design and engine of the Z900, but the ergonomics don't fit my 6.3ft (192cm) body and the standard suspension is meh at best. I owned one for a few years and stopped riding completely because I got bored. Love my new Triumph Speed Triple RS
The cb1000r is like the Bandit 1200. It will make a great bike for a long time. Speed and power is awesome. But for us that have families we look at longevity as well. You hear detuned sportbike motor and you automatically think slow and underpowered. I hear overbuilt and reliable.
@@Ronin_Martial_Arts I sold my dream bike my 86 gsxr1100. Wanted a gs1100 like my dads. But found a deal on the bandit 1200n. Its been one of my favorite bikes ive owned.
Seventy years old and got my license at 15. Been riding every since. I absolutely love motorcycles of all kinds and have learned a few things. The biggest thing to me is motorcycles are like women; the very best one is the one I’m riding right now. At that moment none of the others matter.
He casually dismisses the sub-$10k price tag on the Z900, then literally a min later he complains about BMW being overpriced and how you can get better for less. Pick a lane. The more videos of his I watch, the less I can take him seriously. And he still doesn't seem to understand why people like Harley's. I like sport bikes, but not everybody wants to get folded up into a yoga pose to set land speed records on the way from gas station to gas station
Just bought a 2024 Z900 brand new. Could not be happier with this bike. Been riding nearly everyday to work (2 hours round trip) only problem I've got is cleaning the bugs off my helmet daily. Sorry Yammie you're wrong on this one. Z900 is awesome!
Yeah, I just got my 2024 Z900 a week ago. Kawasaki had a sale. Great price on it this month. Ugly? Yammie's MT-09 example looked far uglier with its stacked cyclops headlights, motocross bike seat, unique exhaust, and plain stamped sheet aluminum frame (vs. trellis). The Mt-09 was going for $2k more.
Agree, Z900 is anything but overrated. The journalists bash on it, it's objectively ugly... Yet, it's a great bike, particularly if you account for its price point. I moved on to a Tuono V4 Factory, yet the way I remember it, my old '22 Z900 was objectively a better and more practical bike for everyday duty.
I think I'd have more respect for his opinions if he were consistent or if he could actually give reasonable arguments for why he dislikes certain things beyond "The 1250 GS looks funny, Harley's don't have horsepower and and I can't set land speed record on them."
I think you have the Z900 confused with another bike. I've been riding since 1985 and have had dozens of motorcycles (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley) and the Z900 has got to be my favorite bike hands down. Adding a full Akrapovic exhaust system to the bike not only wakes it up, but makes it one of the best sounding inline 4s out there. Swing your leg over one, preferably with a full exhaust, and give her a spin.
Underrated bike, NC750x. It gets so much hate, but it's so good at what it does. Commute. Comfy, easy to ride, built in storage, and stop and go traffic is a breeze. Love that bike....even if it is a bit boring.
@@nicolask9295 yup lol it's more fun than driving, and super reliable. Plus there is one feature on it, that litterally NO ONE talks about. The built in storage is above the engine, so when you go get a bag of burritos, they stay FRESH AND WARM! Hard to find another bike with a built in burrito warmer lmao
Honda: "Our CB1000R is a Neo Cafe - retro meets modern naked in a beautiful yet sporty package, oh did we mention fireblade engine?". Yammie "Im calling it a hypernaked and this hypernaked is half baked..."
Good God, stop hating on the BMW GS! It’s an awesome bike! Not a single problem ever with my 2014 GS. It’s a great bike for long distance. Super comfortable. And I completely disagree with you: it’s got power, torque, wind protection, and great technology. And yes, off road capable! I’ve ridden the BMW GS twice on the 2-day, off-road rider course in SC. With some TKC 80 tires on it, it can do almost anything. There is a reason it is so incredibly popular and loved. And it’s a great looking bike too. Back off Yammie! 😁
I have to somewhat disagree. I have a 2024 Z900 SE edition. I wasn't blown away by it when I first got it. But, after I didn't ride for over a month and rode a 600cc Ninja supersport, a 2024 MT09, and a CF Moto 450 NK, I was actually surprised at how much I missed my Z900 SE. Yes It is heavy-ish, it's not too heavy though, but that weight actually helps with stability going down the road at any decent speed. It is an interesting bike to look at, I don't mind my SE editions looks. It's not perfect for a few reasons but, for the lower cost, good reliability, that great torque! plus a little over 50MPG it's really not a bad bike at all. It's funky, but maybe not in a horrible way. I prefer the look of a supersport for sure, but the Z has it's own little place. Oh, I think the ZH2 or H2 aren't any better looking at all. Naked bikes generally don't look all that good, especially the MT09 or MT10, yuck! They are terrible unfinished looking bikes. 3 cylinder engine sound just don't do it for me either. It's like a Geo Metro with a 3 cylinder, they just sound not quite right. Either 2 cylinder or 4, pick one. If Yamaha would have given the MT09 better more finished looks and a 4 cylinder under 440 lbs I'd be absolutely sold. But, sadly no. That's where the Z900 comes in. Name me another new 4-cylinder naked bike that can compete with the Z900 that isn't heavy......? And KTM? Uh, no. Reliability is top of the must haves long over a few less punds on a motorcycle. Oh, and Yammie sure did forget to mention that the ZH2 and H2 are well over 500 lbs!!!
You have to remember every motorbike can just ride down the road fine. It's more about performance and power to weight when we are talking about motorcycles. I don't think the z900 even has an option with fully adjustable suspension. It puts it in the heavy and cheap daily rider not a track or performance focused bike which is why he is saying they're over rated people think they're the best bike they are mediocre
@@DoraTheNinja I hope my comment related my thoughts clearly. I don't think the Z900 is the best bike ever. But, many bikes aren't the best bikes ever. Maybe some people think it is the best bike ever, that's ok too, I'm sure you have a favorite that you think is the best bike ever. Oh, and just for some info, my SE edition has fully adjustable suspension including an Ohlins rear shock with external preload adjustment, special paint and gold anodized front fork tubes. It's pretty cool. I wanted the MT09, but ended up with the Z900 after I rode the MT twice. It was awesome too though. But, the MT was just too unfinished looking and the 3 cylinder sound was just not right as you kept riding it. A very cool bike though. Not sure what bike I would go with if I sold my Z and was looking to "upgrade". I do mostly around town and an occasional canyon ride. The Z really fits that role well. I did change my horrible stock seats, I put different mirrors on it, a slip on muffler (which lopped off 6 pounds) and a tail tidy. It's pretty good now. I get a lot of comments and interest in it everywhere I go. Oh and a quick side note that wasn't mentioned by Yammie, the ZH2 and H2 are well over 500 lbs!!!!! But, he sure made a point about the Z and the CB1000 being a"heavy" 470 lbs. Oh, and the Z is actually 465. Minus 6 pounds for the muffler on mine. So, mine actually weighs 459 ish pounds. That's not terrible at all for a 4 cylinder 948cc bike if you think about it.
I don't like the alien-like mt09, but for me the my2018 is way better looking than the z900. it's just excessively sharp and it's too heavy. mt09 wins 10-0 for me
@@PapZoltan99 dont agree with that either... The MT is good looking, just not the recent models. The front of the current MT is ugly as its trying to be too futuristic. The older MTs (up to 2020) are great, close to the Z bikes.
@@PapZoltan99 Agreed. The MT-09 is the ugliest. Though on it or right by it you can't see the ugly sections. Dr.Benji actually agrees with you in his second sentence. The Z900 looks good. The lack of $$ electronic do-dads is a plus.
Last year I bought my first motorcycle, a 2023 Harley Davidson Nightster Special. Rode it, enjoyed it for a first bike, it got me into riding. This year I traded it in for a 2024 Road Glide (with the 117 engine) and absolutely love the Road Glide. It's comfortable, has plenty of power for cruising and highway speeds, and the digital displays and apple carplay make it as modern an infotainment as most new cars. A buddy bought a new Ninja 500 and we ride together a lot. I'm 41, he's 23. Ride what makes you happy!
@@miawuwu2255 There were plenty of 1000cc bikes before that that are not considered hyper-naked… And the Super Duke as well as the SFV4 have more than 1000cc. So what does the displacement has to do with it?
@@SFV4 then we don't consider 1000cc as a superbike nor ducati's old v-twin was a superbike either, 600cc as a supersport, etc. Hypernaked is non-fairing version of 1000cc bike, that's what everyone immediately acknowledge. Displacement does kinda matter in a sense of identifying a bike as many manufacturers taking this route in the first place. Like i wasn't know the duke 990 was a hypernaked until the manufacturer itself mentions it. It doesn't really help the fact that they also still sold the duke 1290
The Bussy is the stock Aventador of the bike world. All the beginners want one, they can't afford it, go into debt, nearly die, everybody else sees them as idiots in an overrated car. But at the end of the day, everybody expects it, they know how tacky it is, and they understand why they wanted one... Because its FUN.
Yammie, I like your videos overall, but sometimes you are absolutely full of s**t. I don't own a Z900 but i have ridden one. And as an upper intermediate rider I feel that its a great bike and I certainly like the looks.
Dang 1st bike is my bike, coming from an 02 R6, the usable torque and digital dash makes me feel like im ballin on a budget 😂. I love it, sucks nobody else does.
I agree with everything you said with the exception of the S1000RR, dont really like that BMW has the breakin period and the bike definitely needs a tune but its an amazing bike. I feel like its not soulless at all. The bike handles amazing and inspires confidence. That paired with the amazing electronics package makes this bike a weapon even in the hands of an average rider.
@@Tom-hx5kh they kinda ditched the iconic aesthetics in the recent models though, didnt they? they once had the iconic assymetrical front lights which they don´t anymore :(
I'm going to go ahead and say I am biased but, the CB1000R is a timeless gem. Yes, it's over priced, yes, it's engine is detuned, yes, it isn't a super naked. However, 143hp is wayyyy more than anyone needs for the road, the reliability is second to none, it's produced in Japan, and in 20 years people will still say, "That's a great looking bike."
@stewartdillard7199 my thoughts exactly the fact that we have come to a point where saying 140hp is not enough is ridiculous.....I have a 02 fz1 witch makes similar power and it breaks every speed limit in the country in 1st gear...lol
agreed its chaprified... but still has a very reliable engine , looks bulky and agressive and is cheap to maintain.. i disagree with yammie.. its a very good do all bike
I'm in NC and I love you z9...coming from an R6. I still get the good Ole 4 cylinder sound with waaaay more torque for light to light traffic. I don't regret my purchase
@@AllMightyMuthiusyes the 350s are extremely popular due to the brand but it is mostly a commuter/cruiser. The z900 is popular in the big bike segment. We love Harleys for the same reason people love muscle cars. They are by no stretch of the imagination modern, innovative, or fresh....however, they have a character and a soul. Some don't identify or quite frankly like that character, but Harley guys do. So next time you see an old retired, tattooed Harley pirate rolling by on a CVO. He's on that bike for the same reason guys his age would roll by in 70s monte Carlo with Chevy big block crate swap with custom choppy cams and fresh chrome
The cb1000r isn’t a hyper naked, and they don’t advertise it as such. Also, calling Honda milk toast and pedestrian is just ignorance and bias towards Yamaha. There isn’t a single engine or vehicle manufacturer in the history of engine builders and vehicle manufacturers that has done more for motor sports than Honda. Tammie is just a hater, nothing more.
Ural isn't overrated. It sells as a fun oddity and gives fun and oddity in spades. I own a 1964-2024 Dnepr, and road trip in one of these is fun (and but friendly for one's co-pilot), because its a people magnet.
Completely disagree with the negative comments about the CB1000R. Fantastic bike with really nice finishes not found on the hyper nakeds, like the front side panels and machined/ polished engine cases. I find the other hypernakeds so powerful that they aren't that fun to ride on the street, with the exception of the MT-09. Rather than thinking about it as in competition with those bikes, I think of it as a highly evolved version of the old air cooled CB750, where you can experience the dramatic improvements in overall power, power delivery, handling, and fit and finish. Have never seen or heard of anyone stating that the CB is anything other than what it is. Overrated how???
READ ME IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN A CB1000R The fueling and timing on the big CB is Fucked beyond belief. A flash COMPLETELY TRANSFORMS THIS BIKE. Look up “2 Wheeled dyno works” and see what a flash and an exhaust system does, it’s wild. Also, full system drops 20lbs of weight.

You just have to accept and understand that every modern day bike has its place in the market for riders. Not everyone has the same budget, or the same availability/ access to the so called ‘Best Bikes’, not to mention someone’s age, size, personal riding comfort and individual ability. Dealership access and locality etc too. Personally it is video content like this that just makes me think it’s done to boost the numbers rather than actual quality content. My first and last response to a Yammie video. 👍
I like the z900 or used to love the z1000 because it was the most affordable 1000cc bike I could have. Bought a beast PC with the down payment that I saved for the bike, then proceeded to become a typical room dwelling noob, ruined my career and savings and now only dream of owning any big bike or even getting married, girls say a lot of shit but in the end it comes down to how much money you make.
I own z900 2023 and i change 4 bikes since the kawa and i really like the look and the engine i use it for daily commute and for long rides . Is perfect .
Ok, agree with you, for me, the Multi off road, no bueno. Touring, love it! Made several cross country trips from the PNW to the midwest with minimal interstate travel. Did the same on my FJR, will take the multi any day. Yes, I'm 66 and did make two starbucks stops during my travels. Do I need the excitement of a track sport bike, nahhh, but am absolutely thrilled with my V4S Multi! Great channel, long time follower!
The ural seems like a really odd inclusion in this list. The only times I've ever heard people talk about them, it was basically "oh yeah those weird sidecar things". I don't think anyone is really expecting anything from them other than a weird and novel experience, which is probably why the people that actually ride them seem to love them so much.
I'm still loving our (my wife and me) KTM's (Duke 390 , 890R and superduke 1290R) we just love them because of there lightweight handeling and so much fun to ride , lot's of torque and power and we had no issues at all , just normal maintance .
Nothing quite tickles my fancy as an air cooled bike with a homemade rack and a good ride to some distant campground. Different strokes for different folks.
coming from a guy who loves ZX-6R, the new R9 and R3 looks awesome. The only other kawasaki i considered cool is Z900 RS, but even then it was still far from the XSR900
They pretty much are on the same level of fugly, also include the KTM in that lineup. What are those bikes even meant to be? some sort of transformer/gundam sort of thing? dont get it.
My first bike was a F900R lol. Customized the hell out of it. Put a nice LED tail tidy, bar end mirrors, full MIVV exhaust, and had it tuned. Owned it for 7 months, then sold it for $2K more than I paid for it. Now have a Trident Speed Twin 1200 lmao. I do miss all the luxuries I got from the BMW though.
Good that you put the BMW GS on the list. While I disagree with you on the engine, most people would be better served with an R, RS or even RT. I rode one. Meh, no feel for the front wheel, whatever.
My dad has a ‘13 1200 multistrada pikes peak with the L twin engine and it’s awesome, He got a slightly taller seat and it fits almost anyone, he’s 5’7 and I’m 6’2 and we both love it. With the off road power depending on what mode you’re in can change it. But you can adjust the ride mode settings to take it from 150hp to 100 and it will change the suspension as well. Granted we haven’t done anything serious but it helps
So nothing new since the last time Yammie made a "worst motorcycles" video. "If it isn't yamaha, triumph, or ducati it sucks and I hate it." I was literally able to predict exactly what brands he was gonna bash, because he always does it. Kawasaki and Harley he bashes on all the fucking time, so nothing new there, he once again misunderstands what several brands are going for with the bikes he chooses, Honda, Ducati, and BMW come to mind, and brings up a company nobody really is talking about with Ural. Like who tf cares if somebody likes a Ural? Why do you care especially when they aren't being hyped up nearly as much as you think.
His hate boner for any kind of riding or brand that he is not personally into gets old. We get it. You don't like ADVs or BMW. He's also so inconsistent in his complaints that you get whiplash. He constantly criticizes more expensive bikes (yeah the multistrata and 1250 GS aren't for poor people) but then casually dismisses the low price tag of the Z900. He drones on and on about power specs, but then compares a multistrata to a tracer 9? The more I hear from this dude the more I dislike him and don't trust his opinion on anything. I'll stick with motojitsu and chase on 2 wheels
The Z900 looks soo good! Too bad I didn't like riding it. But its engine totally makes sense: it is based on the legendary ZX9r engine, although not as powerful. And 10k is a good price.😊
I disagree with the CB1000R. If the reason to avoid it is because it's not as powerful as you want it, that's not really the point of the bike in my opinion. I think the detuned engine just gives you the Honda reliability on a snappy sport naked. If I wanted an incredibly fast bike, I probably wouldn't go for the sport naked line. The Ural I don't want to agree with, because I think the aesthetic of them and stability with a side car (side cars are definitely not overrated, you can bring your dog) but they're unreliable and WAY over priced. I knew a guy with 3 and at least one was always broke. I'd like another manufacturer to offer something similar, but more reliable.
Although being a Ducati fan, I couldn 't agree more with you on the matter of Multistrada. It 's just an unnecessary show off vehicle. I really miss the very first, air-cooled 1.000 cc Multistrada. It was beautiful, light, nimble, and tons of fun. Practically a 1.000 cc supermotard, suitable for everyday use and fun in the twisties. Why the hell did Ducati go down the "hyper-adventure" route?
The problem with the original Multistrada is sort of in your description. You sit on the bike more than in it, which makes it feel like a motard. Not ideal for touring. But yeah sound and fun factor is great.
KTM did someting similar with the 990 SMT, which was great fun. Now you have monstrocities like the 1390 Super Adventure or whatever. It's only about profit margins, and currently they probably regret some of their choices....
@@fieramente Why "problem"? It's not that it was the most aggressive riding position one could find. Secondly, you could easily gp on small trips with that first Multistrada, even though it was not a "tourer" per se. Finally, Ducati had the SS and the ST2/ST4 range back then. And the latter were indeed great tourers - and very underestimated bikes IMO. So, why the dinosaur?
As someone who worked at a Ural dealer, you're right about a lot of it. BUT their worldwide HQ is actually in Redmond WA (not far from Microsoft and Nintendo) and they recently moved the entire factory from Russia to Kazakhstan, so supply chain isn't so bad anymore. For what it's worth, they were a great company to deal with and have put a lot of time and effort in research and development to escape the stigma that they have had over time. Really, they have taken it to heart to make a product that people will be happy with.
I own a MT09 but I dig the looks of the z900. My brother has one, we would trade bikes and the z900 just feels refinely boring. My MT isn’t a looker but beastly things aren’t always that.
Couldn't agree more with every bike, except the cb1000r. I don't know who gave you the idea that it's a hyper naked or even a super naked because honda most definitely does not market it as that. They call it a neo sports café which as long winded as that name is it describes it perfectly. It's stylish and beautiful café racer looks mated to a fairly sporty chassis, suspension and brakes topped off with an absolute diamond of road going engine. And make no mistake the old 1000cc long stroke from the rr4-rr7 fireblade is an absolute corker of an engine, it's turbine smooth, huge midrange grunt and way more top end rush than anyone can realistically need from a naked bike.
Urals, well side cars, exist (in concept)for the same reason thing's like trikes exist. People with physical issues want to ride. I've done a lot of work to even be able to try and ride on two wheels again (due to old injuries) and I might not be able to. I'd rather get out on a sidecar rig or a Spyder than just feel old and in the way despite being under 40.
Well my brand dodged a Yam bullet. Phew, thanks Triumph. The problem with the s1000rr is that it's has been BMW'd. More 330e then M3. A bit too refined, you like it but it's hard to love it. Ducati or Aprilia do the high end better, more exciting with a hint of danger.
M3 is the absolute epitome of boredom and "refined" (read absolute zero feedback and something "real" (like sound) ) whatsoever. Same goes for almost everything bmw and german brands overall touch, 99% of the time.
Funny how my bike was first on the list. My only issue with my bike is a somewhat harsh front suspension. All in all it's got some goodies that wake up the engine and lose weight. Picked up slightly used with 1400 miles. 2 years later it's got nearly 10 on it. She is fun in the canyon, gets around 40 mpg highway (tune and az speeds) and i commute often. All roasts aside, bro 1:07 was insane. Like all the Kawasaki reputation just went into gutter😭😭. BTW I'd choose zx6r over z900 ANY DAY. Any sane guy would
About the Ducati Multistrada. The V4 has a little sister waiting to be discovered: the V2. Almost has much capable for about 6 to 10 thousand box (depending of the options) less than the V4. Of course the V2 also has a less powerful engine (110HP) but still pack punch and will happilly mach the V4 performances for less fuel consumption. Agile, comfortable, with tons of bells and whistles the V2 his neglected because why not the V4 since where at it? Most guys will select the V4 because: more powa! But at the end of the day. They stop laughing when they see me with my V2 in their mirrors and then realize they have to stop refuelling while I continue my ride for another 120 km (80 miles-ish).
If you are concerned about the weight of fuel on the Multistrada, don't fill the tank. You can also burn off fuel on the way to the dirt roads where weight would be significant and get out again. Range is important on an adventure bike. I had a Suzuki V-Strom 650 with a 250-mile range, and I challenged that range on a few occasions. I installed a 7.3 (?) gallon Safari tank on a DR-Z400S, and that was luxurious. Nearly 400 miles of range. Unless I was doing a lot of road miles, I could fill up in the morning and not worry about gas the rest of the day. Range was a big factor in buying my current ATAS. Sure, you can carry extra fuel, but the best place for that fuel is in the tank.
Maaan, i dunno about the GS comment at the end. Yeah it's pricey for sure, but if you can afford it I think it's the best bike in it's class for sure. I've been looking and looking and looking for something I can use as a commuter bike, European tourer, B road fun and gravel tracks... the BMW just does it all really well. It's the epitome of Jack of all trades. I really don't want to buy one because they're so popular and I'd like to be different... it just ticks all the boxes though.
Hey yam, I own the f900 gs with all the farkels after stepping down from the ktm 1290 sas and I can say spec sheets don't do it justice considerably lighter with all the usable power you need off road I know I could have paid less for a diffrent bike but you should know we bikers make purchases based on more than the price tag
I have a 2024 z900. It's all-around-ed-ness is kinda its downfall also. As a naked bike, its too heavy, almost too big, and the inline-4 is gutless. Curiously the inline-4 also makes it easy to use as a commuter, since its usable (not necessarily powerful) power band is very wide. And the weight make it stable for high speed riding, useful on the highway. As a touring-ish bike however, its seating position is too aggressive and obviously, no wind protection. You know it can very easily go faster, but you can't handle the wind. IMO the best use case for this bike is a cheap sports bike thats not too sporty. The inline-4 once you get used to it is very sweet, assuming you are in the mood and explicitly rev it up. Hence, the SE variant make sense. And no, I don't think it looks bad. A bit too juvenile though, which is not great as a commuter. Basically, if you try to compare it with any bike in an explicit category, its gonna lose. Kawasaki probably need to position it explicitly to a category.
I watched the whole video waiting for the GS to be mentioned, as I knew Yam would say it's overrated 😂 I was also just making sure he didn't think my V-Strom 650 was overrated, because "nobody" even talk about that bike, except V-Strom fans who doesn't even think about selling their bike. I'm sure I won't sell mine at least for quite some time
I mean the VStrom and the Transalp are some of the most widely used motorcycles, especially when considering the older bikes in use. I was in Athens recently and those two were by FAR the most common bikes out there.
Normally I don't agree with papa Yam. But every single point, is completely valid. GS, MS both so overrated. Get a GW or RT if you wanna tour, get a T7 or VstromDE if u want an allroad. Also I'm a big Honda fan, but agree that they missed the mark with the CB1000R
As the proud owner of a Honda CB1000R, I love mine. I did a lot of customization to make it more of a true cafe racer, like it was meant to be, and it's a very fun bike to ride. And it gets a lot of attention in it's modified configuration. Well worth the money spent on it in my opinion.
I swapped my 2022 Supersport S for a new Multistrada V2S in June. I live in Scandinavia and like doing euro roadtrips in the summers. The Multistrada carries a lot more luggage and when commuting I can always throw the helmet in the top box. It’s got the same engine as the SS 950 but delivers a few more ponies and better gas mileage still. But damn are you right about the seats not being comfy. Hard as hell compared to the Supersport, which never tired me out on long journeys. Though I do think it’s wrong to look at it as any kind of off-road bike. The only difference between this and the Supersport is that I won’t turn around if I end up on a gravel road. It’s not as heavy as the V4 and most importantly it’s got DESMO valves and a V-twin. BTW good videos of the MT09. I never liked any of the rice cookers before. But I buy what you say. It’s still ugly up front though.
I own an f900r! I'll admit. I wish it would rwv out a tad but more and it's not as fast as an mt09, but It is a blast to ride. Super nimble and it's a twin which makes it unique
@davewojcik1854 overall, I enjoy this bike more than my mt09 that was tuned and full exhaust! I've got a full Arrow on this bike and the ecu ships out tomorrow for a tune, so I'm sure I'll love it even more after that!

lol how is the CB overrated? Nobody talks it up and nobody buys it. It should be listed as a "hidden gem" that doesn't get the credit for being how good it actually is because it's overshadowed by the hyper naked category.
Yeah and the prices for used ones are amazing. A nearly new one can be had for arround 8000€ Sometimes.
@@Ephem13That’s why I got mine used like the good consumer I am. Avoid paying the slightly steep price plus the dealer fees and everything else.

@stewartdillard7199 my thoughts exactly the fact that we have come to a point where saying 140hp is not enough is ridiculous.....I have a 02 fz1 witch makes similar power and it breaks every speed limit in the country in 1st gear...lol
😂 yammie basically said the S1000RR is too perfect. There’s nothing wrong with that!
Z900 is the most popular motorcycle in India maybe people might think it’s overrated in the states but in India it’s the street squid’s dream bike
agreed its chaprified... but still has a very reliable engine , looks bulky and agressive and is cheap to maintain.. i disagree with yammie.. its a very good do all bike
I'm in NC and I love you z9...coming from an R6. I still get the good Ole 4 cylinder sound with waaaay more torque for light to light traffic. I don't regret my purchase
It's also the most popular in Spain. Recession 😢
I thought some type of royal Enfield was the most sold bike in India?
@@AllMightyMuthiusyes the 350s are extremely popular due to the brand but it is mostly a commuter/cruiser. The z900 is popular in the big bike segment. And loans for people under 25 is very easy to get with barely any credit in India so people just spend it on the cheapest superbike and wrap around a tree at 190 kph
Good points there.

But he did touch on good points if people really understand motorcycles 👏👏
Yams hate on the BMW is legendary. “24k after you add all the farkles.” You mean like EVERY OTHER BIKE?
Ural isn't overrated. It sells as a fun oddity and gives fun and oddity in spades. I own a 1964-2024 Dnepr, and road trip in one of these is fun (and but friendly for one's co-pilot), because its a people magnet.
The goldwing. When you want to see the world and know exactly who you are. Respect.
When I took my MSF course this past April (2024) the assistant instructor had a BMW F900.
F900 is a good value for money bike imo. Thought about getting it but bought a CB1000R black edition instead. Most beautiful bike ever imo.
Neil Peart is the only person to make the GS look cool imo may he rock in peace 🤘

READ ME IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN A CB1000R
The fueling and timing on the big CB is Fucked beyond belief.

Same.
It sounds so fun but for $20K, no thank you.
I'm still loving our (my wife and me) KTM's (Duke 390 , 890R and superduke 1290R) we just love them because of there lightweight handeling and so much fun to ride , lot's of torque and power and we had no issues at all , just normal maintance .

“its just to refined and engineered too well”-also yammie
Nothing quite tickles my fancy as an air cooled bike with a homemade rack and a good ride to some distant campground.

Not for me, but the lack of used ones generally tells me people like them enough to keep and aren't still looking
I think the z900 looks good and I'm a MT owner. MT is UGLY lol
Na, my 24’ sp looks way better, that’s coming from z900 owners drooling over mine😎
coming from a guy who loves ZX-6R, the new R9 and R3 looks awesome. The only other kawasaki i considered cool is Z900 RS, but even then it was still far from the XSR900
The MT09 is still uglier than the Z900....Facts.
They pretty much are on the same level of fugly, also include the KTM in that lineup. What are those bikes even meant to be? some sort of transformer/gundam sort of thing? dont get it.
They're not even ugly. Z9 is sexy @@t.d.9011
@TheGr3atMilenko Facts. Also I don't think the guy who ate radiator at 100+mph is the guy to get any sort of advice from
The Z900 looks soo good! Too bad I didn't like riding it. But its engine totally makes sense: it is based on the legendary ZX9r engine, although not as powerful. And 10k is a good price.😊
Coming from the same guy who just put a video out that the z900 is one of the best values in naked bikes.
Ok
“They’re kinda the Chads of our community” spot on
Urals, well side cars, exist (in concept)for the same reason thing's like trikes exist.
Future plans include a regear for lower cruising rpmb other than that she's a blast and my baby.
All roasts aside, bro 1:07 was insane. Like all the Kawasaki reputation just went into gutter😭😭. BTW I'd choose zx6r over z900 ANY DAY. Any sane guy would
Agreed… until progressive wanted 2k a month for a zx6
About the Ducati Multistrada. The V4 has a little sister waiting to be discovered: the V2. Almost has much capable for about 6 to 10 thousand box (depending of the options) less than the V4. Of course the V2 also has a less powerful engine (110HP) but still pack punch and will happilly mach the V4 performances for less fuel consumption. Agile, comfortable, with tons of bells and whistles the V2 his neglected because why not the V4 since where at it? Most guys will select the V4 because: more powa! But at the end of the day. They stop laughing when they see me with my V2 in their mirrors and then realize they have to stop refuelling while I continue my ride for another 120 km (80 miles-ish).
the Multistrada 1200 is 150hp and loads of torque. Who needs more...
The Kawi slander is unwaranted. 😭
But yammie, so glad the sv650 wasn't on this list. Thanks.
You were specific about most on the list… then BAM… every HD EVER MADE!!
How long do we have to wait until "Yammie"ha comes out of the closet for being silently sponsored by Yamaha? It's getting exhausting........
Every bike with more than 80hp is overrated. 95% won't tap into the power because it's simple. Above 80mph, talent runs alarmingly low.
I've never liked so-called 'adventure' bikes. I thought they were overrated when they first came out. I'm glad to see Noob caught up.
Brooo that's what HONDA is aiming for, they just want to make a street friendly bike. Imagine hittin 290+kmph on a street bike 😭🤌
If Z900 is ugly... what are all other naked bikes that are uglier? C'mon man :)
Well worth the money spent on it in my opinion.
just checked out your little overview, absolutely gorgeous bike ✨
@@Tom-hx5kh Thanks! It's a great bike and I get asked about it everywhere I go.
