I'm a Midlife Beginner without the Crisis. Loving life and happily single w/ no kids. I definitely don't think I know it all. I'm more of a sponge trying to soak up as much knowledge about motorcycles so that hopefully it'll save my life one day. I just feel the need for speed, well maybe a little speed. 80mph is plenty for me 😁
I'm on the downhill to 60, riding for decades so when the orthopedist told me I needed a hip replacement I put the near half ton HDs to rest. I picked up the 430lb CFMOTO 700 CL-X and have put 17,000 miles in less than 10 months of riding time. Less than $7k for a 74hp, adjustable suspension, 6 speed, slipper clutch, dual ABS, full LEDs, cruise control AND self cancelling turn signals isn't being budget conscious, it's called having fun. If I don't get killed on it, my body will wear out before the Kawasaki engine does so I'm not worried about resale value. Keep up the great work

When I was a new rider, 54 years ago in England, we were all 16 and clueless, riding a selection of worn out, mostly British, small capacity (less than 250cc) bikes. No rider training in those days, you just made your mistakes as a learner, survived if you were lucky, then took your test and were allowed to ride anything. The system here has changed since then. New riders have to start on a 125cc and work their way through a series of tests, over several years, before getting an unlimited licence. No doubt safer, but it puts a lot of people off. At nearly 70, I'm still riding, but none of the other lads I knew back then are.

China bikes are a perfect way to see if you like owning motorcycles. Got mine for 1800, used the heck out of it, learned all about carbs, doing your own maintenance and repairs. Got a DRZ after selling it for 1600. There's just not a lot of aftermarket or middle man money to be made so no love by RUclipsrs.
Unfortunately where I live people can't buy any motorcycle because of theft. There are some motorcycles people say comes with a thief on the back. My brother in law bought one of these, he rode it less than 2 weeks before it was stolen. That's why I ride a chinese low cc motorcycle, thieves don't even like to look at it.
The middle life crisis guy at the msf is fucking legit😂😂! I had a dude like that in my msf white beard already had the bike I forgot the brand but it was a 600cc, rocking a shoei helmet & all alpine star gear & a vape💀💀😂
I got the GSX8R because there is no reasonbly priced well balanced sub 80/90hp full fairing bike. If I wanted a naked it was going to be a Z900 or a CFMoto NK800. My 8R is comfy for every day use. Its sporty enough for aome fun. Lots of features, very solid on road feel. If anyone is wondering I get around 51mpg on the 8R for daily use. 3.7gal tank tops me out around 180miles of range.
2024 600 hundred squid starter here. Just got yesterday a Yamaha R6 2007. When i tried to brake for the first time time I stoped so hard that my balls got kicked by the bike, at first it hurt but after I couldn't help but laugh at myself. Didn't drop her not a single time though and I'm having lots of fun, getting a bike that you like (always dreamed of owning an 2006-2007 R6, they are kind of rare here in Brazil) is something that definetely changes your life, every time I wake up in the morning and see my R6 in the garage it brings me immense joy. Just go easy on the clutch and don't try to do any stupid stuff to impress people around you nor try to pretend be a MotoGP superstar and I think it is fine.
You should really look into the new 2024 CF Moto 450SS and see how this new iteration fares compared to last year before continuing to shit on them. Would definitely appreciate it from a viewer perspective as well
Midlife guy here that is kind of doing this out of necessity. A friend was selling a bike for cheap, and I needed a second vehicle while I fix the compounding problems with my car. Lucky for me, that friend changed their mind, and I'm now free to check out whatever Papa Yam suggests as a beginner bike, and see what's right for me so that I don't give up after putting in all the hard work once I get my car straightened out.
I'm the early midlife crisis guy. Realization just hit like a truck. I mean I was already working on my licence, but then everything hit at once: gf left me (I left the house, ex-gf and doggo - can't finance it solo), got into an apartment and just finished getting my licence. It's a weird fresh start... but I'm happy I passed my bike driving exams in one go. Keep up the good vids, this older newbie learned quite a bit from your vids. Not a fan of IPA's etc, loved the driving lessons but the depressed part hits home. Money most definitely is an issue though :p Housing is expensive a.f. here. Sidenote: I read a lot of ''there's less motorcylists'' in the US and such, but where I live sales are up massively and there's a damn waiting list for motorcycle lessons at the moment - huge amount of girls picking up riding as well. At least half of the fellow riders-in-training I've met were girls of all ages (ranging from 18 to 40 in this case).
Yams. Let me begin by saying, I have a high regard for your content, when a video by you appears on my feed i watch it even if i do not care about the premise. Anyways, there is a type of rider out there you have yet to discover... And you probably never will. Good luck to you and thank you for what you do
I almost bought a cfmoto and I’m 34. Bought a rebel 500 instead because your videos scared me into going lower. Had it for 2 months and now I have a tuned cbr600rr. 😂😂😂😂 the r6 was 1000 more but I like the way the cbr sits. I trust Honda. The electronic dampener. I think it has ABS. And I’m so happy even tho I was so scared the first 2 days. Turns out I love being scared.
Should have had an honorable mention: The Chicken Strip Heckler. Those squids that heckle other riders because "they don't use the whole tire", even though they live in a place like Arizona where there are more rain storms than curvy roads. Also, I ride a '22 Super Cub, call me the Midlife Crisis Minibike Squid. I just wanted something for fun, I don't live in an area that has tracks to race on or long winding roads to cruise.
That was something... Should I feel bad because I fall under the 'minibike squid' type? 😕 All the details are spot on! 😂 I even have a Shadow Cruiser bike. Like you said, Harleys and minibike squids aren’t that different, so I guess I’ve got the full minisquid package! :P
Early 40's beginner rider here that inherited his dad's 2016 ultra glide... It's been an interesting start. Rode a buddies ZX10R the other day and fell in love. That's the next horse in the stable. Gotta live up to the stereotype haha.
Yamie Noob very funny video 😂👍. Im a part of the somewhat known finnish moped culture of teens who ride mopeds and Im glad that I dont have an electric bike. They are boring and they are not even that exiting. The good 50cc is just good for me and the best feeling in the world is switching gears. Remeber guys! Consider your options when bying a bike to not regret the decision later! 👍😎
I don't have a bike yet, but I've been eyeing a few different ones. 35 yrs old here. Been looking at a Ninja 500, CFMOTO 450SS, Honda Rebel 500, or maybe even a Honda NC750X. Not sure what type of riding I want to do. So these all got a chuckle from me, especially the mini bike squids. 😂
I see the CF Moto bikes at my local dealership. I ride a Ninja ZX-6R and ya know what…I think the CFs look cool. No judgement from me here. Whatever gets you out on 2 wheels ans enjoying the sun and wind. I’d ride with you Brotha.
The bd125-10 is completely underrated. Easy way to get into riding and learn the basics. Also saving enough money on gas to afford a bigger bike someday!
I'm a 600 squid. At some point I couldnt start the engine not because of the stand but because of the stop engine switch. I tried to start the engine riding downhill and when I failed I started panicking, thinking that my newly bought bike was already damaged. When I finally realised what happened I was so ashamed, I started the engine and run away and didnt drive by that spot again for months :D
Ive never felt so recognized. Im definitely most like a midlife crisis beginner, but not quite. I'm depressed, just getting into riding, but trying to stay under a certain budget until I figure out if I really enjoy it. Which is why I've got my eye on your favorite bike, the Kawasaki Vulcan. Not the S, but the 900.
TOTALLY the Chinese squid 😆😆😆 Both sides lol... Started on a X-Pro X-24 (you know it as the Boom BD-250-5! 😂) I sold it, and now I have a CFMoto 650 Adventura! I do not care at all about brand recognition, and time will tell if I am regretting it for reliability. All of this is within 7 months lol. I liked my little X-pro (Boom) lol. It just wasn't going to be enough bike for me in the long-term so it was time to move up. The thing with the cheap bikes straight to your door, is it makes riding more accessible to more people. I think that is something you are overlooking. I felt intimidated buying a bike from a dealership or an individual with no knowledge or experience riding. It was like a convenient and discreet training wheels bike. Guaranteed new, and guaranteed cheap. I bought on Amazon, so I had the additional layer of customer service if there was an issue. The bike ran just fine. I put 400 miles on it, and now I have put about 300 on the CFMoto. With CFMoto, I just really like the modern tech and it is a great value for the money. It really helps they are so good at DESIGN. If their bikes were not so easy on the eyes, I would not like them as much. I just think they are a tremendous value, especially if you can find NEW USED. I got mine with 1100 miles on it for $4000. For a 2022. A Japanese 650 10 years older with 10k more miles would be $1000 more. I am putting my money on them being good for the long-haul as well. As long as people trust KTM, I trust CFMoto. Sucks mine doesnt have cruise control like the 700clx, but I can live without it. I still have the sexy TFT and rider modes and stuff. Bike tracking and monitoring come standard with the CFMoto Ride app. I love it.
Im a beginner. Never ridden. I want my first bike to be a classic bobber. I dont need/want to go fast on a bike (I have a mustang for that) . I like the freedom and interaction it seems to give with the open road. A bobber seems so chill and laid back. Im not trying to speed for 30 minutes and have to go home because my back is hurting, but touring bikes are not my style and dont fit my personality.
Out the gate. I cant believe you nailed me on Number 1 (bar the Vegan bs) I have chuckled and laughed all the way through. it couldn't be anymore relatable but actually funny if you tried. well done
I bought a 97 vulcan 750 a couple years back and somehow almost power wheelied that thing into a parked car across the street. I got seriously humbled and now looking for one of em Groms brotherrr.

Much love! ❤🩹
"rockform has cases for every phone" except galaxy folds 😅
Unfortunately where I live people can't buy any motorcycle because of theft. There are some motorcycles people say comes with a thief on the back. My brother in law bought one of these, he rode it less than 2 weeks before it was stolen. That's why I ride a chinese low cc motorcycle, thieves don't even like to look at it.
I feel seen! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Except I did roller derby then motorcycles.
This killed me dude. ❤🤌
Bro i swear that we can relate with everything you say in Greece too, riders are a breed of their own!
Yammie Noob at his best! Spitting in our faces and shitting on our chests.
Papa Yams has some of the best lines on RUclips when it comes to describing bikers.Gotta love it.😅😅❤❤
Man you really hit all the nails on the head with the description of these "New Riders"🤣🤣🤣🤣the EV BIKE Guy! 🤣🤣 & the Minibike Guy! Priceless!
The mini bike part had me rolling
The middle life crisis guy at the msf is fucking legit😂😂! I had a dude like that in my msf white beard already had the bike I forgot the brand but it was a 600cc, rocking a shoei helmet & all alpine star gear & a vape💀💀😂
makes me wonder if we went to the same course lmao i had the exact same experience today
@@BadgerFiresFoam I live in Washington idk! I’d say the stereotype literally exist😂😂
HAHA I ride a grom and some of that was so true. I got a laugh from it for sure.
Get the best in class phone mount for your cell phone with Rokform! Code "YN25" saves you 25% off at: glnk.io/3rj1/yammie-noob
3.7gal tank tops me out around 180miles of range.
fuck, the adv dad junior hit me hard :'D
I feel like Yam must be spying on me after that segment, lol
I'm getting on a motorcycle to leave the tech behind. Rockform is the antithesis of my goal(s) while riding.
Bestow upon me the pin of shame.
You should really look into the new 2024 CF Moto 450SS and see how this new iteration fares compared to last year before continuing to shit on them. Would definitely appreciate it from a viewer perspective as well
there's no coming back from this type of anti china propaganda
Haven’t ridden in 10 years buying a new bike this was helpful for knowing what’s changed since last riding! lol
Chinese squid. I know what I’ve done.
Oof
Learn proper modding. Make the thing a beast, and smoke the big brand elitists lol.
Minibikes fck yeah 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This is the way lol
Bruu first rider with electric bike 💀💀💀
YES!!! Im safe from the list 😂 me and my 05 V92TC Deluxe are happy!
I own a grom and this was so true
This had me rolling! LOL I proudly ride a Harley but bought my niece a Honda Monkey
the first one is legitimately hilarious and spot on. another yammie banger
11:37 Hang on, that's a motocompo, that guy is a legend, don't disrespect him !!
Started on my first bike 700 about 6 months ago love it taking it easy and learn and practice
awesome video like always 👽
Werd Yammie. Wisdom right here. Thanks. 😂😂👍👍
Don’t feel bad I’m 31 don’t have a bike yet but have been heavily eyeing up the cf moto 800nk and the 450nk lol
I'm getting the 450ss I'm so hype, thing is gorgeous
Hilarious stuff!
Picked up my first bike a few weeks ago. '22 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT. What a blast it has been so far
Never been on a bike before in my life. I've been looking at a 500, but do you think the 1100 is forgiving enough to learn on if I could afford it?
I took the msf course on a 250 cruiser. I bought a 900 cruiser as my first bike and now I’m getting a zx4r.
10:36 - That image had me in stitches.
I love my cfmoto. Besides closest Yamaha or kawi dealer was plenty of area codes away.
I see the CF Moto bikes at my local dealership. I ride a Ninja ZX-6R and ya know what…I think the CFs look cool. No judgement from me here. Whatever gets you out on 2 wheels ans enjoying the sun and wind. I’d ride with you Brotha.
Love these comedy vids 🤣 im the Chinese and mini bike guys
The bd125-10 is completely underrated. Easy way to get into riding and learn the basics. Also saving enough money on gas to afford a bigger bike someday!
I'm a 600 squid. At some point I couldnt start the engine not because of the stand but because of the stop engine switch. I tried to start the engine riding downhill and when I failed I started panicking, thinking that my newly bought bike was already damaged. When I finally realised what happened I was so ashamed, I started the engine and run away and didnt drive by that spot again for months :D
Had a friend, started on a 900. He is still alive. He is a walking miracle
ADV dad junior here, just got myself a versys 650 grand tourer, can never have too much luggage!
First bike 2022 MT09, great purchase.
Really? I’m 16 and rode motocross for 8 years n my dad used to be a motorcycle instructor. What would be good for me?
Just got my Himalayan, and except for the hipster coffee place, I 100% agree haha!!!
Top tier video and content.
that was so f ing funny 😁 😂 😀 😅
Ive never felt so recognized. Im definitely most like a midlife crisis beginner, but not quite. I'm depressed, just getting into riding, but trying to stay under a certain budget until I figure out if I really enjoy it. Which is why I've got my eye on your favorite bike, the Kawasaki Vulcan. Not the S, but the 900.
You’ll enjoy it. I mean it. Just get one. You won’t regret it.🤔😉✌️
TOTALLY the Chinese squid 😆😆😆
Both sides lol...
I love it.
Mine warned you to ride just as "GAREFULLY" lol. I put a sticker over that... 😂
Im a beginner. Never ridden. I want my first bike to be a classic bobber. I dont need/want to go fast on a bike (I have a mustang for that) . I like the freedom and interaction it seems to give with the open road. A bobber seems so chill and laid back. Im not trying to speed for 30 minutes and have to go home because my back is hurting, but touring bikes are not my style and dont fit my personality.
my first bike is a 1999 Suzuki bandit 600 street fighter and it's perfect.
Cant wait to see which one i am once i get my bike next week
Got dang, yah owned me on this one papa
I feel so called out. Adv dad Jr here. AND DAMN PROUD
Classic Yammie Noob!
