Kind of unrelated but me and a friend were riding almost cross country from Colorado to new Hampshire. I was on my 2022 Ducati Xdiavel s and my buddy was on his 2017 BMW S1000RR. long story short he wrecked out in Illinois literally at our halfway mark because he was on cruise control stretching his leg when a massive gust of wind hit him pushing him into the rumble stripes taking the front end of the bike forcing him to bail on the pavement his backpack got cought yeeted him into a Ag irrigation ditch with a broken elbow, hand, foot. so next year we are both doing the exact same trip on sub $5000 goldwings.

I would agree 100% with that that line-up except the Triumph pick, which I would swap out for the Street Triple 765 RS! Hold judgement on the Harley though, never been into them, at all. Nothing wrong with Chinese bikes, as long as you're getting the ones where the manufacture didn't choose all the worst parts to produce the cheapest bike possible, even so, with those bikes just swap out all the engine bolts to decent bolts and they will run forever with good maintenance, so yes they can be a good bike if you know how to fix bikes and make the necessary adjustments on components (Take the cheaper bike and put the expensive parts on to get an expensive bike for cheaper). That said, get one that has been made with good parts then they are good bikes, I've seen a lot of decent motorbikes made in China, actually in China, but they have their main 2 motorcycles that everyone seems to use there LOL Also, most of the big brand motorcycles are all made in China now anyway, so no Japanese bikes are being made in Japan, very small percentage. All the products are coming from China's 2 big tycoon motorcycle factories. You can check where you bike is made just by checking the numbers on the frame and parts and trace back where your bike came from, you will be surprised to find most of your bikes aren't from the country you think they are from. One step further, you can literally get a motorcycle designed and made to your own spec entirely if you can get into contact with the right people from China's motorcycle tycoons for cheaper than the price of a BMW S1K, Kawasaki H2 etc. might be something you want to look into Yammie! Design your own bike and get it made to spec

I feel like this F3 could be my pick. What do you think? I’m 27, hence why I’d like to try a sportsbike while I still can. Or should I keep the Streetfighter and get a uses gsxr 750 or so for a “similar” feeling?
RC390 is a cool little bike, I had one, but it really needs to be punched out to 490. Or at the very least updated with the new '24 390 Duke engine. But KTM's "Best"? No way. That title rightfully belongs to the 1390 SD-R, not even close. Second to that would be their 690 SM.

I hated the Cf Moto 450SS. All the controls are just not buttoned up. They dont feel reliable welldialed in at all. Bikes Look absolutely amazing! The technology in them is great! And the braking was surprisingly good. But each one I rode just felt squishy and cheap (i rode the 450ss, the 800nk, the 400nk, and the Papio CL). Now that Papio CL was my favorite experience with CF Moto hands down. If you like Groms or Z125s then i would definitely recommend any of the Papios. The CL had more dirt oriented tires, a mounting bracket to attach side bags of all things or to tie things down on the pillion, and it was just a comfortable fun little bike. Plus its got a 6 speed transmission and a cool bright headlight. Id recommend that over any of the other CF Moto bikes until the 675 comes out and proves me wrong. Please CF Moto, tighten everything up. Dial in the clutch feel and shifting feel, and take some slope out of the seat, that thing is way too angled forward.
Anyone know if the new 2024 Honda CB650-R E-clutch has a 1 down 5 up shift pattern or is it reversed at 1 up 5 down? I checked it out and it looks like the Shifter is backwards and when I think about it that would mean shifting the lever down would actually be up shifting right? It has a quicksilver and E-clutch. I never seen a Shifter reversed like this so maybe this is a dumb question but it's new to me.
CF Moto 675rs is best cf moto bike BUT it makes most sense when living in Asian countries that its cheap in very easy to maintain / get parts / sell on as they are in high demand. probably wouldn't buy if i lived in the US.
