Yeah my first bike is a z650rs. Super predictable, enough power and sportiness to have tons of fun, super reliable, low maintenance. No odd quirks, nothing about the bike is surprising or hard to get used to. Perfect beginner bike
@@gosh402 But it’s not as fast as an R6. Yammie can’t comprehend the significance of having a controllable amount of power from a motorcycle engine that runs cool, and is reliable. No motorcyclist on the street really needs more power than a Kawasaki 650 delivers.
As a Kawasaki Vulcan S owner, I never thought you hated me or my bike and I enjoy the hell out of all your videos! Yes, my motor is on the boring side, but it's my first bike. It's also cheap (really cheap), reliable, easy to work on, excellent mpg, feels light and easy to maneuver and has forward controls (forward controls was big for me). My next bike in a year or two will probably be something like a GSX-8R or ZX4RR....time will tell
This is actually a brilliant video due to the fact Yammie throws shade on just about every popular bike on the road (that alot of the viewers own). I always get a kick seeing his short, undeveloped frame on that econo-Ducati. Talk about grossly overpaying to have a piece of Italian design when theres many many far superior bikes at reasonable price points. Again, Yammie is no dummy, he knows exactly how polarizing this video is and the view pulling potential.
The cbr 500r is my first bike, and its perfect. It has all the things a new Rider could wish for. 1. It looks realy cool and is perfect for short commutes 2. It has comfortable ergonomics. 3. You can also go on longer trips (5h+) without being super uncomfortable 5. You can drive fast (~140 km/h 87mp/h) consistently for hours 4. I have the A2 license so i cant get more power anyway. I know the ninja 400 is a bit faster and the better "sports bike" but i'm also doing longer trips, where the cbr is more comfortable due to the greater weight and the bigger displacement. The only real drawback is the price, but for me its definitely worth it.
@@mettjaeger Longer Commutes would be the only fair justification for getting a motorcycle with a larger displacement. You can wear out a small motorcycle pretty quickly, from riding a lot of freeway miles, at high RPM.
I agree; the CBR500R is a great choice for those in the UK. Feel sorry for the riders in the states that pay a much higher price for Hondas than us. I am in the uk, and have a full A licence; but this bike will give you 70 to 90 miles per gallon; typically for me, I get 230 miles on a tank of gas. You guys would like the cbr500r more if you had to pay our petrol (gas to you in usa) prices! It is a great commuter bike.
@@markshipton9443 I am in the Czech Republic and got my CBR500R way cheaper than what Kawasaki is asking here for Ninja 500 and even slightly less than Ninja 400... So far, I am quite happy with it, just learning to ride and looking for some 650cc in foreseeable future. Do Hondas have some special prices in the US?
CBR500r owner here and just came back from a ride to see this video dropped lmao. I respect your opinion but mine is different! :) The thing is so f:ing fun on twisty roads because the gears are very short in a way that happens to match the speed limits and the flow of tight roads around here pretty well so that you can actually shift through the gears legally(ish), and in a way that feels just right and satisfying. The power is fun, not terrifying and SILKY SMOOTH in the power band. Not loud but has a nice sounding beefy intake roar and backfires off throttle.
There’s nothing wrong with the CBR500R objectively. But when it comes to fun, the Ninja 400 is just a little more exciting, engine rev’s harder, flicks in better, handles better, and feels (and is) significantly lighter, for less money. Basically you could have spent less money for more fun. I rode a Ninja 400 back to back with a 500 and wished I bought the Ninja… I have a Z900 now, which he also says doesn’t do much for him. Riding back to back with a brand new XSR900 I found the Z900 to be a little more aggressive in terms of seating position, leaned forward and tucked ergonomically (which I prefer) and found the Z900 to not only be smoother, but it feels stronger just about everywhere in the RPM range. And doing pulls with the XSR (rider and I are only 5 lbs difference, I’m heavier), the Z900 is quicker in a straight line in rolling starts. The XSR feels more manic but more flickable, the Z900 more stable. I went with the Z900 cause I got a used 2022 for a killer deal, and was able to pay cash so no payment.
@@sleeper.simulant7327 Yeah. For me it's mostly the looks and feel of the CBR and the kind of full midsize bike that I want rather than the Ninja but also there are no Kawasaki dealers nearby. Never ridden the Ninja but of course for anything competitive or objectively thinking for the money the Ninja or Yamaha R3 is superior. For me they just don't do anything in the aesthetics and vibes department. It's purely subjective lol. Fast looking red bike rather than budget looking better prized bike that is actually faster. All of those three are supposed to be ridicolously reliable.
@@MotorcycleEnjoyer01 Hell yeah. I'd love to try a sportster. I was thinking about a Royal Enfield too because some of the paintjobs on them just look so sick and kind of a similar classic sporty bike.
@@sleeper.simulant7327 My reply is not working for some reason. RUclips things but yeah the Ninja is competitively the faster bike. Shortened: -CBR fast looking beefy red bike = that looks SICK and I'm in lol. -Wimpier looking but actually faster and better bike for the money = subjectively for me not as exciting because it doesn't look and feel as exciting. -I'm dumb = yes.
Here's a reason why you might want to start on a (used) CBR500R like I did given that what you said about it is true: Once you upgrade to other bikes, you really feel the difference in performance/quality/fun. When I was on my CBR500R I had no frame of reference, so I had a lot of fun with it. Also bought it used so didn't pay much for it. I've since jumped to faster/lighter/better handling bikes and the difference is night and day. I still have a soft spot for that bike though.
That’s what I’m about to get a 2023, it has bigger tires already which I want , it doesn’t have a lot of tech which I’m fine with, and I just wanna commute to work with my twisty roads, more gas , good mileage and reliability…. It’s a bit more but I want it
The Kawasaki 650 platform doesn't suit you, I love my Z650 because it's forgiving and doesn't bite. The MT-07 seems unnecessarily massive to me. That's okay, everyone rides what they like, not others.
Z650 brother here. I'm happy with my z650, like you said it's more forgivable and it's the perfect beginner bike for me (limited at 47hp because of my country rules on the licence, I'll use it full soon). but z650 is not perfect. I'm 1m80cm tall (5"9 in US unit) and after some time of riding i got some hip cramp because my legs bend a lot due to the small gap between the seat and the feet controls. Maybe a high seat would help ?
I have z650 as my commuter bike..... It is boring, it is pedestrian. It never fails me... It only gives me minor problems. Cheap to run and repair. The bike itself might not make you giggle or excited with it's character or ability. But you can still have fun riding it.
@@luisdetomaso867 That's what I'm saying.. lol It's not any bigger than a Z650? It sure is less boring. The Kawi 400 really is a great little machine but the 650 is lacking in such a big way.
I remember looking at the lawasaki vulcan 650 and everyone especially yammi all said "its boring cant wheelie cant this cant that not loud" basically picked one up a week later because I didn't want crazy. Basically the only thing i agree on is that the exhaust sounds kinda whimpy so im looking into aftermarket. But i dont want loud. I just want something with a little more charecter than a sowing machine.
Kawa z650 owner. Bought the bike cuz it was the best choice I had access to. Great bike. Not saying it's as exciting as an MT07, but I'm really glad I went out and got on a bike I had access to rather than waiting for a "better" option.
We got our son a 450ss and 2000 miles later its an amazing bike. You add a slip on and the sound is crazy good for a 450. Ive been riding over 30 years and own a Ducati but i still find myself riding the 450 a lot.
I bought a Vulcan 650 s in Florida, love that bike. Discovered Yamie Noob's channel and his and Spite's hate of the Vulcan S. Bought a second Vulcan S in Germany.
Another fun video ! I have been riding 45 years and owned 3 Kawasakis. I know you hate Kawasaki' s and dad sport tourers like my Concours 14 yet I still watch you. I will tell you again my second motorcyle was a 1978 KZ 650 that I rode for 31 years ! It never let me down or left me stranded. They need to make a 4 cylinder 650 - those bikes run forever. I am 62 and after 11 years still love my Concours 14. Ride safe. Have a great day.
Criticizing the looks or style is one thing but his gripes about the engine are just straight nonsense. People usually just either don't like the looks of the engine or the class of bike but that doesn't sound as sophisticated as "the engine is lumpy and doesn't do it for me"
I got a 2021 ninja 650 last week as my first bike and I’m loving it! It has the sporty looks, a comfortable and upright riding position, and it’s enough power for me to have fun without being too scary. That being said, I can see why someone with more experience and confidence would want something bigger and more powerful.
I completely agree on the CBR500R, I've been riding a bunch on a CB500F(same thing but no fairings and slightly more chill seating position). It feels boring, unresponsive, and I agree that it feels 'substantial' but not in a good way. It feels 'substantial' in the way that it's a pig to wrangle around. The CBR500R, CB500F, CB500X are european A2 license specials and they are just massive stinkers. You can genuine have more fun on a 125cc/250cc which weighs half of that thing as long as it's somewhat responsive and engaging.
I must add, out of my 3 bikes (08 zx6r, 05 suzuki ls650, and my 84 honda magna) all of my buddies love the ls650, a thumping 652cc single cylinder that weighs next to nothing. I love that bike because while its not thrilling, it inpires that "lets go for a laid back, chill ride" which is a nice refresher from 100+ hp thats constantly telling you to go faster.
Hey Yammie. Just wanted to say thank you for making these videos. I started watching you since 2018 and you inspired me to ride motorcycles. Been riding for a while now. Thank you for everything brother.
I love my Z650 and am very satisfied with the performance that fits my riding style. It has enough torque for me to pass "cages" on the freeway and it's very easy to maneuver through the twisties.
My first bike was a classic vulcan. With the 800 v twin. I don't know. It just seems weird. Putting a parallel twin on a cruiser. If you're gonna put a parallel twin in a cruiser, make it spicy, not a 650.
I like my ninja 650 a lot. It's my second one. Going to get another one. Good low end. Good enough highway speed. Plenty for what I need. Still fun around corners. I have no issues with the 650.
Your video on the CFMOTO 450SS was one of the reasons why I ended up buying a CFMOTO as my first bike. I realize its limitations and I will upgrade from it eventually, but for my first bike it’s been great. And it has a warranty from the dealer of which there are plenty here where I live.
As a SV650 owner I feel okay knowing that it can’t be hated, it’s humble. It doesn’t have the most power, the best suspension, or even good comfort, but it does the job. “It ain’t much but it’s honest work” 👨🏽🌾
@@christopherbarker942 is the V-Strom that much better? I took a look at it before I got the SV, and it didn’t really offer too much more than the SV for the price increase. Now I would probably look at it more closely due to me trying to travel further on highway.
I'm a late blooming noob (do you not even midlife crisis, bruh?) I have a Kawasaki z650rs, I absolutely love it, and embrace it's boringness, whilst I get myself confidence and skills with it's forgiving predictability. I can imagine I will find it boring after a while, but right now I'll take boring over inexperienced old man flipping a 3rd gear wheelie into a tree. Not disagreeing with you, you have all the experience, and I have none. Just suggesting boring might be good from some, although admittedly it might be temporary.
I caught Versys strays after getting a Tiger Sport 660. Every 'tall rounder' people associate with that bike and leads to dad bike haters to look down on you for riding something practical.
Glad to see the Ducati Diavel get a Yammie respect shout out. That is my current dream bike. I have a MT07 as my first bike. My riding style isn't about thrills and adrenaline. I'm more into the open air, freedom cruising, but I DO want power for occasional fun acceleration on roads and on ramps. I also want highway power and the ability overtake when at speed. Torque to accelerate out of emergency situations is also a desire of mine. So the MT07 has been very easy for me as my first bike. The power is manageable if you are sane and just grow into it. The Ducati Diavel 1260S is the my dream second bike. Full cruiser riding style and comfortable seat. Better for 2up with my wife. It looks amazingly futuristic as if it was designed for Cyberpunk 2077 and the power it has seems perfect for my needs. The entire muscle cruiser category really appeals to me. I like the HD Sporster S for the same reason. It's reliability issues have spooked me though and the Ducati is better for 2up anyway.
Every Rider could have different things they want from a motorcycle. No one needs to like my bike for me to have a great time on it. '21 Ninja 650 keeps me out of trouble on public roads and does everything I need it to. Great all-round bike. Can get to 210 miles range on the 4.0 tank riding more conservatively if desired.

As a powersports tech with multiple companies. Honda Kawi, Polaris, Can-Am cfmoto segway, yes segway builds side by sides now. I can confirm what Yammi is saying.
I rode a Honda monkey for a year than bought an Indian scout rogue and i love both bikes! Going from 9 horsepower to 100 was a definite adjustment but it was smooth and easy to get used to.
Something I haven't heard anyone bring up, when you guys ran the Ninja 650, the rs660, and the R6 against each other. The venerable little 650 had the smallest 0-60 time. I believe 3.5 seconds vs. 4 seconds for the 660 and r6.
kawasaki embraced the parallel twin which was the inevitable next step since emissions are getting stricter and stricter, and now that yamaha and suzuki are following suit and releasing twins, kawsaki is moving on to hybrid motorcycles. they're ahead of the game. i still prefer L twins. SV1000S, baby!
Ill take a cruiser all day long. My scout will be in my garage for a good long while. Im not trying to flip through turns as fast as possible, I just want to enjoy the ride. That and sport bikes just suck for my knees.
I don’t have the CBR500R but I have the CB500F. It’s my first bike, I bought it towards the end of last year’s summer for $3,500 and honestly I love it so so so much. I’ve put about 4,000 miles on it. It’s very comfortable. I mostly use it as a commuter. I have spend hours zipping around the town and going long distances to visit larger cities in my state. I haven’t had any issues with it. I’m not the most mechanically inclined, but I’ve haven’t had any issues mechanically or doing basic maintenance to it. I feel like it was a great place to start. It has enough power to keep it exciting and to keep up with highway speeds. My only issue with the bike is dealing with the wind at higher speeds. It’s a naked bike so it makes sense but I love the way it looks. I am a noob and once I move on to a bigger bike maybe I’ll understand a different perspective of Honda’s 500 series, but in my opinion it’s a fantastic bike.
I just traded my fjr1300 for a benelli and I'm extremely impressed with the build and ride quality . Ride what makes you happy that's the most important thing.
I still think you need to ride a dyna that isn't clapped out, maybe even has some decent mods. It's basically a slightly larger sportster with better range and a LOT more power.
@masterblaster5392 they do, but it's well documented as to why, and the aftermarket cures it. Bought my streetbob with 16,000 miles on it, and knew right away that it needed new engine mounts. Did that, then added a set of braces akin to watt's links to eliminate unwanted movement altogether, because the swingarm pivot is on the rear of the transmission, not the frame. Cruiser comfort design that too many people don't maintain properly, leading to the deathwobble.
I bought Ninja 650 as a first bike after watching loads of videos, including yours, and i am absolutely 100 percent stand by my deciseon. Its an amazing bike for a new rider. It looks sporty, its upright but not too upright, it has a good engine and it sounds just great with a proper exaust (Leo Vinci on mine). And its green. And it has Ninja on it. And it owned 2 bikes you liked in your own damn video. Great bike would buy it again.
I bought a Ninja and don't even recall any video you say something bad about ninjas. Matter of fact I vividly remember your video about the 400 and turning into a track bike.
Can I just say that I definitely prefer this style of content over watching you ride through Austin while you talk🤷♂️ I love the channel and would love to go riding with you but… not like that😂😂😂
Riding a cruiser and not understanding cruiser is kind of like why car people don’t get motorbikes. Every good aspect of motorbike are just another reason not to buy one for car drivers, and we don’t get why car drivers would forever want to be stuck in their boxes. We assume they’ll understand once you get to ride one, and show them what’s its like, but most of them will just go “yeah but I don’t wanna die cars are way safer and does everything better.”
I bought a z650rs because I liked the style, flickability, and smooth reliable engine. I like the MT-07 but if I wanted to get rowdy I would prefer a bigger bike. Maybe my 4th bike would be a MT-09 but i like nimbleness over power right now.
I just drove home the Kawa Ninja 500 anniversary edition(first bike) 2 days ago. It was such a good ride home from the dealership. (About 50 miles) Now...if only it would STOP RAINING I could get back out there lol
I have an iron 883, and I like to ride it hard. The problem is that it's just too low and wide. The stock front muffler is literally dragging on the ground. I already ground thru the straps that hold the heat shield on. 🤣
In all reality though… Vulcan 650, Boulevard, Vstar, and VTX did strike at Harley because it may be a “boring” bike, but it is a cruiser… and those bikes aren’t in the shop every 2 weeks getting repairs. And they are cheaper because we aren’t buying a name. Having “Harley Davidson” on the bike adds like $8k to the price.
I'm a BMW owner and a boxer fan, but I'm not much of a GS fan either. I have no desire to take a big lumbering bike like that offroad (especially given that it's $27k optioned up). The 19" front tire limits tire choices for street tires. My two favorite BMWs are the R and RS. Both are fantastic bikes. I own and R and it's a do it all bike.
I feel like what Kawi designed the 650 to be is a nice advanced beginner bike. I own one as a my first, and what I like about it is that its not suprising. It wont punish you if you push it to hard without realizing. Its a predictable bike, and you know what your getting.
when it comes to cruisers and scratching in corners. it really depends on the cruiser, chopper, bobber. i have a Yamaha Virago 250 and a Virago 535. i have used the entire tire. no chicken strips and not a single part has come into contact with the ground. except my side-mounted sign. but i just bent the corner a little and i was fine. my point being. depending on the rider and depending on the bike, you can do a bunch of things that a Sports bike can. but of course it takes time and skill to learn.
As a kawi owner, the ninja 650 is in desperate need of an update. If they just did a crossplane twin like KTM or yamaha I'd absolutely trade up. Almost instantly.
Here in Brazil, the Vulcan S 650 is one of the best cruisers available in its category. Yes, I have one and love it, but unfortunately the other cruisers available in the market here are just too old now (Honda Shadow for instance). I do agree to the leaning limitation though
Sometimes people forget that people's decisions aren't always dictated by what media considers "best", sometimes you get something that did get a bit of a bad review, and you are fine with it because you got it for fair price considering it's limitations or something puts you off by the "best" product be it design, functionality, or it just not working out for you. I like Ferrari cars but I dont' think I'll get one because not only I wouldn't be able to afford one, it wold be almost a decoration for me, since I would feel bad driving it since I would decrease it's value by 1000$ every time I crank it over
A friend of mine bought the DCT version and allowed me to ride it. I was impressed. It's low center of gravity made it feel a little like an old BMW boxer and the automatic was really on point. It wasn't as fast as my bike, but that's not why I ride. It is a bit overpriced though, as all Hondas seem to be.
lol, I'm a new rider and got a Ninja 650 and I actually love Yammie Noob dunking on it. YES, I WANT A FREAKING BORING AND RELIABLE BIKE AS MY FIRST ONE 😄

Yammie, you HAVE to ride the Nightster 975! It's like all the good parts of a Sportster, a Dyna and a V-Rod all shoved into one perfect muscle bike...But stay away from the Sportster S, that thing STINKS!
I mean .. I understand that there are more fun bikes than the CBR 500R... But... That 500cc engine is bulletproof... Those engines can make easilly 200.000 kms. And the CBR is more substancial, better built, the 2024 model has a tft dash.. and is very good looking. You pay more when you buy it new but you will save money in the long run.
I've owned 3 Kawasakis, 5 Suzukis, 2 Yamahas. I've been to tons of demos over the years and ridden various bikes other people have owned. Been on 80's bikes, 90's bikes, 2010's bikes, 2020's bikes. Out of the "big four" brands, I do find Kawasaki to be the most bland these days. Great machines technically, very refined, powerful, but generally lacking categorical leadership (except for the H2 series). They don't excel in the 650 class, they don't have a 800 anything, their 900 class bike isn't any class leader, they don't have a super-naked that isn't ridiculously expensive.
1. It looks realy cool and is perfect for short commutes
2. It has comfortable ergonomics.
3. You can also go on longer trips (5h+) without being super uncomfortable
5. You can drive fast (~140 km/h 87mp/h) consistently for hours
@@mettjaeger I wouldn’t bank on a Ninja 400 being any fast than you 500r.
🤷 Idk.
@@andrewroberts6123 yeah I know, but I can't duo to my A2 licenses. Only 48 PS are allowed.
I agree; the CBR500R is a great choice for those in the UK.
Feel sorry for the riders in the states that pay a much higher price for Hondas than us.
I am in the uk, and have a full A licence; but this bike will give you 70 to 90 miles per gallon;
typically for me, I get 230 miles on a tank of gas.
Shortened:
-CBR fast looking beefy red bike = that looks SICK and I'm in lol.
I too started on a used cbr500r and have had no complaints out of it
I bought my cbr500r after watching you bash on it. Best decision for me. Makes me giggle when you shit on it to be honest lol Keep it up Yam!
You can put heated grips on it from honda
That’s what I’m about to get a 2023, it has bigger tires already which I want , it doesn’t have a lot of tech which I’m fine with, and I just wanna commute to work with my twisty roads, more gas , good mileage and reliability…. It’s a bit more but I want it
@@mattmcg6022 I got the 2023. It's amazing!
I also got a 2023 CBR500R! And I love it!
50hp..
GSXR didn’t even make the list. Yammie needs another day in the life of gixxer bro video.
The Kawasaki 650 platform doesn't suit you, I love my Z650 because it's forgiving and doesn't bite. The MT-07 seems unnecessarily massive to me. That's okay, everyone rides what they like, not others.
@@Potkan007 that is why they make so many bikes and why restaurants have menus.
Different strokes for different folks.
Geeze, how petite are you to find an MT7 "massive"?
@@luisdetomaso867 That's what I'm saying.. lol
It's not any bigger than a Z650?
I owned a Vulcan and currently own a Versys 650 and I love my bike. Its a great bike and comfortable to stay hours in the seat.
Same with my 2022 Versys 1000.
Love it!!!
On top of all of this is that these are your thoughts and opinions and more power to you for not caving and voicing your opinions
Love my Tuareg. Does everything exceptionally. Very light and playful. Picked it up lightly used with $4k in mods for $10k it was a steal.
The Tuareg does a great job of trying to look like a Kawasaki KLE 500.
Another great Vid Yam. Hope your enjoying your time off with the Family.
With the amount of shade he throws at the GS it just confirms more in my mind they are great bikes

Criticizing the looks or style is one thing but his gripes about the engine are just straight nonsense. People usually just either don't like the looks of the engine or the class of bike but that doesn't sound as sophisticated as "the engine is lumpy and doesn't do it for me"
Hey Yam, why don't you give Aprilia RS 457 a shot. I believe you'll be blown away how good it is and could outride the Ninja 400/500.
If you're gonna put a parallel twin in a cruiser, make it spicy, not a 650.
the vulcan 650 may not be spicy, but it smokes most v-twin cruisers with much bigger engines.
@christopherbarker942 You are right there are trade-offs, and that is definitely a perk. Also, it's a vulcan the king of the knock-off sportsters.
Your videos are part of the reason that I started riding this year. I got a Z650 lol, but for my first bike, I love it. Thanks for the great content.
As a SV650 owner I feel okay knowing that it can’t be hated, it’s humble. It doesn’t have the most power, the best suspension, or even good comfort, but it does the job.
“It ain’t much but it’s honest work” 👨🏽🌾
sv650 has a good motor, and the V-Strom fixes the rest. Both are as fast as you need to be.
@@christopherbarker942 is the V-Strom that much better? I took a look at it before I got the SV, and it didn’t really offer too much more than the SV for the price increase.
Now I would probably look at it more closely due to me trying to travel further on highway.
You love my bike, 2016 Indian Scout baby
Yup. At 6 ft 5, my Versys 1000 fits me like a glove. No shame. Love that machine!!
I think the real problem here is that Yammies' trolling is so advanced, youtube just can't handle it.
I love this channel. Never change!
I just bought a 2020 ZH2 today. I'm in love with my kawasaki and I know papa Yammie likes it too.
You said the '23 KTM RC390 was the ugliest bike ever made...then you ended up liking it. I think mine is Beautiful 😍!
I think you’re spot on about some of these bikes yam your about the safety and quality of bikes keep up the good work yam
I noticed Noob didn't mention the Goldwing. He loves the Goldwing!
That sporster and 48 is my favourite bike of all time. Just Love it.
I ride a 2022 Street Bob 114 and I love my motorcycle ..
Every Rider could have different things they want from a motorcycle. No one needs to like my bike for me to have a great time on it. '21 Ninja 650 keeps me out of trouble on public roads and does everything I need it to. Great all-round bike. Can get to 210 miles range on the 4.0 tank riding more conservatively if desired.
generally like all machines. Bikes, cars, 4x4s, you name it. When it comes to bikes, I've owned only Harleys. I know they aren't for everyone, and they don't fit everyone's riding style. They fit mine. I'm old, fat and slow. No really, I am. But I don't think I am better or worse than any of you fine folks. I always throw the deuce (even to scooters, man) and I generally care that we all get home safe after a ride. And if y'all see me out here and need to pass, just know I see you coming up behind me and I'll make room for you! ✌😎
I got a 2017 CBR 500R for 2000 off FB Marketplace. For that price I think I did okay
Totally ignorant metric bike rider here, but don’t Dynas have a problem with handling? Like they have their own unique death wobble or something?
@masterblaster5392 they do, but it's well documented as to why, and the aftermarket cures it. Bought my streetbob with 16,000 miles on it, and knew right away that it needed new engine mounts. Did that, then added a set of braces akin to watt's links to eliminate unwanted movement altogether, because the swingarm pivot is on the rear of the transmission, not the frame. Cruiser comfort design that too many people don't maintain properly, leading to the deathwobble.
@@michaelrodgers6559 oh, ok. so its fixable. thanks for the quick education.

Hot take from a z125 owner. The z125 is built way to cheaply. The 230sm and 300sm is 🔥
Riding a cruiser and not understanding cruiser is kind of like why car people don’t get motorbikes.
The Toureg looks like an Africa Twin with a different front. If that's what you want, go with the Honda. They're superb.
As a RE interceptor owner, I agree it is a great little bike, and I did choose it over a sportster..
I got my motorcycle license last week and I’m planning to buy the ‘24 Kawasaki Vulcan S 650.
I bought a z650rs because I liked the style, flickability, and smooth reliable engine. I like the MT-07 but if I wanted to get rowdy I would prefer a bigger bike. Maybe my 4th bike would be a MT-09 but i like nimbleness over power right now.
You just need to get a Dax 125. Especially since we'll finally be seeing it stateside next year.
As a Z650 owner, it is pretty tame, but as a newish rider, that's what I need. I'm also fine that Yammie don't like it haha
Finally got my first bike a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 ready to learn all I can
I feel like what Kawi designed the 650 to be is a nice advanced beginner bike. I own one as a my first, and what I like about it is that its not suprising. It wont punish you if you push it to hard without realizing. Its a predictable bike, and you know what your getting.
1:02 shallow and pedantic also describe this well 😅

Yammie criticising GEOMETRY while sitting with his leg looking broken 😂😂😂
when it comes to cruisers and scratching in corners. it really depends on the cruiser, chopper, bobber. i have a Yamaha Virago 250 and a Virago 535. i have used the entire tire. no chicken strips and not a single part has come into contact with the ground. except my side-mounted sign. but i just bent the corner a little and i was fine.
my point being. depending on the rider and depending on the bike, you can do a bunch of things that a Sports bike can. but of course it takes time and skill to learn.
I like Ferrari cars but I dont' think I'll get one because not only I wouldn't be able to afford one, it wold be almost a decoration for me, since I would feel bad driving it since I would decrease it's value by 1000$ every time I crank it over
I'm surprised that the NC750X didn't make the list
A friend of mine bought the DCT version and allowed me to ride it. I was impressed. It's low center of gravity made it feel a little like an old BMW boxer and the automatic was really on point. It wasn't as fast as my bike, but that's not why I ride. It is a bit overpriced though, as all Hondas seem to be.
Whew, that was close- thought you would put the ol pig KLR 650 in the mix.
lol we made it through this one 🫡
pls, test ride the triumph scrambler 400x . I think its a motorcycle worth reviewing !

The cbr 500 and 650 are just very nice to look at
Yammie, you HAVE to ride the Nightster 975! It's like all the good parts of a Sportster, a Dyna and a V-Rod all shoved into one perfect muscle bike...But stay away from the Sportster S, that thing STINKS!
the point of this channel is FUN, the reason he "hates" things is to have fun! LOL
Their ADV bikes are heavy, not especially powerful.
Suzuki and Yamaha are my favorites. I would take a Kawasaki before I took a boring Honda.
