I personally like my bikes with a lot of electronic aids, with the understanding that such electronics make the bike considerably less reliable but far safer. Insurance companies, who presumably keep detailed statistics on this type of stuff, give you insane discounts if you have ABS. So while older bikes from before circa 2016 can be reliable, they're also quite difficult and dangerous to ride.

Sold those 2 street bikes with over 70,000 miles. Not as powerful as a modern liter bike but I've never been enamored with 200 horsepower specs anyways. Similar reliability to the suzuki sv650. My recommendation if you're considering a new RE would be to just get a used bike, something with middle mileage will not need a lot of ongoing work, will hold it's value better, and just feel less cheap than an enfield. If youve ever touched a nice bike an enfield will just feel a bit like a walmart bicycle in terms of build quality and component feel.

@@exothermal.sprocket No, at least not that I'm aware of yet. That being said, I live in a very cold climate, and change the oil every winter regardless of use. I never rev it to red line, and always warm the bike.
I like to think I'm giving that pump the easiest job I possibly can XD But at the end of the day, this bike outlived my 1150gs, and a klr 650...apples and oranges I know, but I got those 2 bikes specifically for their reliability, yet the fz1 was and still is my most reliable bike I owned to date.

Most of them, at this point, have been fixed, or they wouldn’t have lasted this long. The 2008 had crank issues, and both had oil consumption issues, but they’re non-issues now. They’re great bikes. They went from 2008-2016, though, and didn’t have issues after the first couple years. I have a 2021, and it’s the exact, same bike, except for the electronics, minor engine specs, and fairings.
