    Got this jacket, and it is a lifelong jacket. Super well made. I even bought the snugpack sj9 as a super mid layer and it fits well underneath. Such a Stormer of a coat. Very pleased.

      Its a beast, I actually find it makes me too warm here in the UK if Im wearing it when active, but I love it and on days when I'm having to stand around in the cold its perfect.

      Agreed. Its just so warm I don't need to layer up when I'm wearing it.

    Good review beardy man, however I reckon this jacket is too warm for in the UK, you'd probably get more use of it up in Scotland but not in England and certainly not in the South West of England where I am, paying that much for a jacket you may only wear for a few weeks in a year is too much...I've worn Paramo jackets myself for over 15 years, especially when I lived in the lake district walking the hills, I did try Event, Gore Tex, Triple Point Ceramic jackets over that time as well but always stuck with Paramo...I am trying a Ventile jacket with a Paramo liner (Askival Jacket) made by the Scottish company Hilltrek at the moment, although its too early to really comment on that yet....G1000 on its own or even waxed is not waterproof enough to be relied on...okay for trousers but not for a winter jacket

    Just a question: do you think this coat will do it great in the Canadian winter? Thanks a lot

    Ideal for Yorkshire. What colours does it come in? Could not find on their website. A darker green would suit me or a dark blue 👍🏻

    Very nice video, good job :)
    But i have a question.
    Would you recommend the yupik parka in temperatures around 0 degrees celsius or colder, because i have to choose between the forest parka with a filling of 150 g/m² or the yupik parka with 250 g/m² and i dont know if the forest parka will keep me warm enough or if the yupik parka keeps me to warm. How is your experience with that?
    And i would like to know if the outer material of the yupik parka is durabel enough for "harder" activities like in the forest, because it is not made out of the G1000 fabric.
    I would appreciate an answer from from you because it is difficult for me to decide, wich parka would be more useful for me.
    And sorry if the English is not so good, i am not a native speaker.
    with kind regards :)

    Hi Bready Man!
    Great review!
    I'm on a quest to get a heavy duty jacket that will last me for life in a cold and rainy climate. But that will also save on a arctic trip I'll be going on shortly.
    Right now I'm considering the Fjallraven Yupik and the Carhartt Sawtooth.
    Any opinions on these models? On Fjallraven vs Carhartt? or even Supreme Microloft vs 3M Thinsulate?

      @beardymanreviews3312  4 года назад +3

      If i was out in those temperatures long term id use a different Fjallraven jacket, probably with a down lining. Ive used this jacket in Northern Sweden where wind chill has been sub -30 and ive been toasty warm

      @@beardymanreviews3312 thanks bro. however, I have now my fjallraven yupik parka. I tested it yesterday with a -10 temperature and wore only thin shirt on the inside and went out around 2am coz I have an early morning field job. I was amazed that I need to lessen my heater in my car down the road and rely on my parka. Maybe when the temperature goes more colder I could see how this parka works. Normally we are wearing tons of staff in here all winter round.

    I know that yupik is bigger than other jackets. my chest is 43.7, I am 1.86 meters tall and weigh 97 kg. What size do you recommend?
    I wear tight clothes.

  • @chrisjohnphillips6352
    @chrisjohnphillips6352 6 лет назад

    You said you wear size Large. What is your height and weight? I'm 6'2" 225 lb and I wear an XL in most Fjallraven jackets. However, I tried a Barents Parka in XL and it swallowed me whole. Now that I'm considering the Yupik, I'm considering ordering a Large since it appears Fjallraven's parkas may oversized. What would you recommend?

    • @beardymanreviews3312
      @beardymanreviews3312  6 лет назад +1

      Hi.
      Im 6ft and about 98kg. It is a perfect fit for me, however what i would say is that if i was to wear a heavy midlayer it may be a bit more snug. This coat though is so warm i only ever wear a base layer as its super warm. Regards

    • @cdgf-X
      @cdgf-X 6 лет назад

      I have a Yupik and I'm 6'-1" 185lbs, and I wear a size Medium. I find with all of their jackets I have to downsize a size. The Yupik is a heavy jacket and its very warm.. I use it for the coldest winter weather here in Chicago. Anything over 30 degrees, and I get hot in this jacket.

      Hi, I've had no problem with the neck area. Its a heavy jacket and super warm so ive only ever worn base layers under it, so never felt any restrictions. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

      @@noneknwsbrah i didn't pay anywhere near that price to be fair. I've worn mine in Northern Sweden in sub -30 and its kept me toasty, so id say well worth it. I always say you can buy cheaper and some brands will keep you just as warm, but i do love Fjallraven clothing so am happy to pay that little bit extra.

    Na komm schon, du kannst ruhig auch zugeben, daß der geschlossene Kragen viel zu eng ausfällt. Alleine in deinem Video bekommst du selbst fast keine Luft dabei und der Kragen sitzt auch bei dir unangenehm straff an. (Min. 2:44) sollte als con angegeben werden
