Sorel 1964 Premium T snow boot review
Can’t live without these kind of trousers!
looks like algae caused by the summer heat, just my guess. It also happens in the Danish sea fjords and streams after long periods of warm, windless weather
I have these and love Them
I know this is an old video but I think it's worth a comment on the sizing. Fjällräven says it will fit a back length of 46 - 50 cm. I'm 5' 8" tall, and the pack is easily 5" too long in the back for me so unless you're at least 6' tall forget it. When mine arrived this morning I was chuffed with the look and obvious quality but two hours later I was standing in a Post Office to send it back for a refund. Disappointing.
Shame, but I've found a similar issue with some of the clothing. In some tops I'm a large, other extra large. Trousers are true to sizing but I always need to try on tops and jackets. Appreciate the watch and comment.
@@beardymanreviews3312 Yes, sizing is all over the place. For example; I have a Skögso in Small and I couldn't wear an XS as it would be to tight around my hips, whereas my Övik jumper in Small is really quite big, and I could easily wear an XS, if they actually made it in the colour I wanted. Trousers are complicated by the recent drive to 'improving' the fit of many models, and I've defaulted to the new fit in Barents Pro, Euro 46, which I have a tailor hem to 33" leg length. The fixed leg lengths are of no interest, being not right in reg or long and I'm not keen on the bulky strap adjustments at the hem. I used to get Euro 44 Longs but the new fit is way too tight around the hips. Fjällräven's website is exhausting as you need to check the sizing chart for each individual item, and it's not, as the case of the Lappland pack, always accurate.
Nice one - I’ll check it out 👍🌲🌲🌲
Thanks, hope you enjoyed it.
I couldn't find this color way, are these laurel green/deep forest? in this video it doesn't look like a laurel green, looks more of a tan which I like
yeah they are the laurel green /deep forest colour. Always seem to be out of stock
Woohoo BMR!!
Time to bring the beard back

Is it olive green or grey?

Hi there, it's Olive Green
@@beardymanreviews3312 Thank you sir 🙏
The beard is back again👍
Yep
Does the bottom touches the posteriora? 😂 I'm 180 cm tall
Are those in the color laurel green/deep forest? Thanks for the review!
Yes they are. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
@@beardymanreviews3312 They look great on you, I got a good deal and pulled the trigger. Cheers!
Will a 32 oz water bottle fit in the side pocket
It will but it will be a bit of squeeze.
@@beardymanreviews3312 I just got the pack about two days ago. It is a tight fit. Love the pack
i’m looking at this to replace a patagonia down hoody that i’ve had for about 7 years now , any idea if it’s comparable for warmth ? I like your review style BTW 😊
Sorry mate, never worn Patagonia so couldn't say, but this is one hell of a warm top.
Got this jacket, and it is a lifelong jacket. Super well made. I even bought the snugpack sj9 as a super mid layer and it fits well underneath. Such a Stormer of a coat. Very pleased.
Its a beast, I actually find it makes me too warm here in the UK if Im wearing it when active, but I love it and on days when I'm having to stand around in the cold its perfect.
Definitely true about no fjallraven reviews. Sweating now as ordered medium, probably need larger, but I've keb hardshell which fits, but I've shirts that are size small which fit, so yes definitely hit and miss with sizing, Enjoying your honesty, pretty funny 😉
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate your support. Good luck with the sizing.
Do you have to rewaterproof this jacket? Nixwax? Greenland wax?
I haven't needed to yet even after a few years, but I think nothing remains totally waterproof for ever so at some point I'll apply some nixwax to it.
These look better than my KEBS on a woman. But KEBS fit slimmer.
I agree. My Kebs are definitely a little snug on me, but maybe I've just put a few extra pounds on 🤣
Top! Thx!
What sweater are you wearing? It’s nice!!
Hi there and thanks for watching. Its the Koster. I've had it for years and its still going strong. That's the beauty of Fjallraven stuff. It may cost a bit more but it just keeps going and going. Its wool so keeps me toasty on those damp UK autumn and winter days.
Ordered a black one from trekkit for £114 on sale comes tomorrow. Already got a green keb jacket a baseball cap and a couple of t shirts, it's good quality gear..nice review mate 👍
Cheers mate. Great price. I always try and get stuff in the sale if I can. Its a lovely top. You wont be dissappointed.

Hope you enjoyed the review. Unfortunately I've not been able to translate you comment.
What is that sweater called?
Never mind it’s in the video 8:16
😂 appreciate you watching for so long.
What size and length did you get them in compared to your actual?
Hi. thanks for watching. Sorry about the delay in replying I am just short of 6ft and about a 35 inch waist. I always buy the regular length and go for a EU52 which is about a 34-36 inch waist. I do have some EU20 Keb trousers and they are a little snug.
Great review... Ive got mine on the Way thanks to your explanation 😊 it just love at first sight ahaha
Does this have reinforced rear on the butt? they look green like the knees but they are or not doubled layers?
The bum on the ventilated is NOT double layer like the regular vidda pros. IMO this is one of the biggest differences in the trousers.
Salut! 3 years review, please!... if it is possible!? yhank You!
It is really that long ago. I will do that review for you. Also got some new gear to review so stay tuned. Hit the bell notification icon so you don't miss anything
Thank you!
Is that a Singi Overshirt that you are wearing ? It looks cool on you, may I know the color pls? Thanks
Hi thanks for watching. Its the down shirt No1 in Olive.
Have them on as we speak. The vent zipper should be inverted. As I walk the closed vent zip opens from top to bottom
Good point. I did email Fjallraven to say I thought there should be some mesh when you open the vents to stop the bugs getting a free pass to my legs.

how are the crotch area held up? are the blown out? it’s my concern for trousers
never had an issue with the crotch mate. one of the few brands that haven't gone in this area
Mine went into holes after three months of use. That's 600 miles.
@@danceswithbadgers do you experience crotch blowouts in other pants? Wondering if the original Vidda Pro would be better in this area than the ventilated
@@jmax850 Hi. No, softshell is fine. I have a pair of Keb Touring trousers, which are structurally softshell with cosmetic overlays of G-1000. The G-1000 is going in places but the softshell is fine. I have other trousers which are entirely sofshell and all are OK. I've experienced wear at the seams around the crotch and seat area of several different Fjällraven trousers, some of which is the folded seam wearing through the material from the inside - so the seams are wearing themselves out! This wear is just from walking in them and is not the result of abrasion against rock etc.
Never mind the trousers that is a very impressive beard. 👍🏻😁
too kind
ordered, received and very happy with it!!
I first bought Fjallraven after researching decent hiking trousers about 8 years ago. I now must have over 100 of their products. They are SO good. Everything is the best quality and the design is well thought out for in the field use. They have never strayed into gloves (go to Hestra for those) or footwear & socks as they specialise in what they know - tents, jackets, trousers & hats. You can't honestly get better made long lasting gear. Arcteryx for skiing stuff granted ;)
AS A LAPP
Ordered mine yesterday! Thanks for the review!!
You can't walk around with a pocket knife in the UK? Is that real?
depends on where you are. if your in the woods it would be ok but if you took the same knife into the town where there were more people you'd probably get into trouble.
Nice sweater my man, where'd you get it?
Hi, thanks for watching. I got this direct from Fjallraven. It's called Koster if wanted to try and find it.
@@beardymanreviews3312 Thank you for replying. I didn't recognize the Fjallraven logo at first. Found and ordered one in gray. My Birthday Present to myself.
Good video. I can't seem to find any info to say if they would fit over a ski boot or not. The old or the new ones.
To be fair I'm not sure they would fit over a ski boot as there is not a lot of give around the bottom of the trousers.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Hello, what color are you wearing in the video please?
Hi there. They are the dark olive colour 👍🏻
I love 🦊 jackets. and pent , bags its so strong and looking so nice
Thanks for watching and commenting,
hey beardy just wondering what boots you use in this video
There the Miendl Bhutan
How does this pack do with summer heat? It gets up to about 38c in the summer where I live and I’m worried that the wool will be miserable to wear
Its not ideal for really hot days but perfect for every other occasion. I've not really had any issues with it to be honest
Best review out there, thank you kind sir
Thank you 👍🏻
Curious, when squatting in the first 1 min of your video, what is the ankle ride on your shoes/boots? I recently purchased a pair that fit perfectly on the waist, but they are "short" in mens. When I squat down I feel like the cuff rides up a little too high. I am 5' 11"
I get the same but have just gotten used to it. For me they sit perfect when I'm up and walking so I can forgive the lift when im sitting down.
Hi, thanks for the video. How did the world hold up? And is the pack not too hot due to the wool for summer? Thanks
Hi there. Bag is still going strong. The wool has gone a bit flat to be honest and I'm not entirely sure it was worth the money but its a lovely day pack which I use regularly.
thanks for the follow up@@beardymanreviews3312 . I opted in the end for the Singi 28. Still needs some testing to attest ruggedness but so far so good. Cheers from Belgium
only english review of this pack I could find anywhere online, thanks very much for doing a review, and a good review at that!
Thanks
So happy you weren't tempted to call them pants - thank you! Great review too!
Ha, I'm from the UK. Pants are what I wear under my trousers.
@@beardymanreviews3312 it's amazing how many people call trousers pants in the UK these days. Criminal.
Thanks for mentioning your measurements.I wasn't sure if order L or XL. I usually wear XL but I am pretty much like you so L should do it.
