    Thanks for the review, it would be nice to have an updated review on the bag, especially on the wool on the back. There is also a model called Abisko Hike 15, almost identical, just without wool on the back. But it seems that it is no longer sold at Färäven. I have found both on sale elsewhere.

    Great video! Random question but when you put your drinks in the side pockets does it make the inside space shrink/ get smaller at all? I have another fjallraven backpack and when I do this it shrinks the inside space quite a bit!

      You do lose a little internal space if you use the side pockets. Just something to be mindful of when packing it

      Hi there. Bag is still going strong. The wool has gone a bit flat to be honest and I'm not entirely sure it was worth the money but its a lovely day pack which I use regularly.

      thanks for the follow up@@beardymanreviews3312 . I opted in the end for the Singi 28. Still needs some testing to attest ruggedness but so far so good. Cheers from Belgium

    Hi thanks for the thorough review. This pack is listed as 47cm long but I was hoping to use it a personal item carry on for flights where the length limit is 40cm. Can this pack be compressed down at all in length or is it very rigid? Thanks!

      Jim 1234678910 Hi, I used it as an everyday pack for a year now. I'm a web developper so I can pack everything I need in it : My 14" laptop, a headset, the AC power supply, a notebook with a pen or two, and a lot of tiny thing for the phone etc.
      To be honest, for photography it may be a bit tight :s But for a everyday pack, it is wonderful.

    Just ordered the backpack in black for less than half price. I have a question regarding the back with wool. If I wear the Keb Fleece Hoodie, will the backpack ruin the hoodie, due to the friction from the wool on the back of the backpack?

    That's a nice day pack Beardy, I have used a Berghaus Dart 25 for what seems like a lifetime now, its still going but I am looking at the Fjallraven Singi 20 or Singi 28 as possible replacements, if you manage to do a review on either of those that would be handy.... also I wanted to ask, have you kept all the Fjallraven stuff you have bought over the years or have you moved anything on either because you didn't like it in the end or replaced it with something better?

    • @beardymanreviews3312

      Hi. I have the Stubben which is like a more rugged Singi, ive done a review on it. I still have nearly all my Fjallraven gear, i have sold a few bits but only to replace with a different item. My Vidda Pro trousers just get worn till they fall off me. My current pair are about 18 months old and still going strong. The problem for me is that there are so many awesome products that id love to own so tend to buy more than i actually need although i can justify all of it to my misses. I used to swear by RAB, North Face and other well know brands but honestly i just dont think you can beat Fjallraven. Just my opinion. Thanks for watching, i really appreciate it 😁👍

    • @thegameoflife9179
      @thegameoflife9179 4 года назад +1

      Yeah I here what you are saying about Rab, The North Face etc.... when I lived in the Lake District doing all the hills I swore by my Paramo gear, in fact it never let me down and kept me dry and warm in temps down to -15, however I recently bought one of there latest jackets (Alta III) and decided to do a water pressure test, basically I just wetted out one of the sleeves and then pressed on it... within seconds the water had gone straight through!
      Don't get me wrong I always knew that pressure could defeat any Paramo jacket eventually, even the older gear (how many of us actually put that pressure on gear when out for a day walk?.. it doesn't really happen)... but that test surprised even me and has thus put me off there waterproof gear now... hence me switching to Fjallraven.

    I know this is an old video but I think it's worth a comment on the sizing. Fjällräven says it will fit a back length of 46 - 50 cm. I'm 5' 8" tall, and the pack is easily 5" too long in the back for me so unless you're at least 6' tall forget it. When mine arrived this morning I was chuffed with the look and obvious quality but two hours later I was standing in a Post Office to send it back for a refund. Disappointing.

    • @beardymanreviews3312
      @beardymanreviews3312  7 месяцев назад

      Shame, but I've found a similar issue with some of the clothing. In some tops I'm a large, other extra large. Trousers are true to sizing but I always need to try on tops and jackets. Appreciate the watch and comment.

    • @danceswithbadgers
      @danceswithbadgers 7 месяцев назад

      @@beardymanreviews3312 Yes, sizing is all over the place. For example; I have a Skögso in Small and I couldn't wear an XS as it would be to tight around my hips, whereas my Övik jumper in Small is really quite big, and I could easily wear an XS, if they actually made it in the colour I wanted. Trousers are complicated by the recent drive to 'improving' the fit of many models, and I've defaulted to the new fit in Barents Pro, Euro 46, which I have a tailor hem to 33" leg length. The fixed leg lengths are of no interest, being not right in reg or long and I'm not keen on the bulky strap adjustments at the hem. I used to get Euro 44 Longs but the new fit is way too tight around the hips. Fjällräven's website is exhausting as you need to check the sizing chart for each individual item, and it's not, as the case of the Lappland pack, always accurate.
