Hi Imran, I hope you are keeping well brother :) Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you find the videos informative. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, all the best, Mark. :)
Hi OUT NOW Outdoors, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) I'm gad you like the scenery. It was a lucky day, you can't usually see that far as it is usually foggy or raining. Thanks again, Mark. :)
Hi David, I hope you are keeping well :) Yeah, I was very impressed by their range of packs. Some a bit too pricey for me, but all well made and look nice. Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark.
Hi Brian, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. It is a stunning place..... I was lucky with the weather as it is usually raining or foggy up there and you hardly see anything :) Have a great day brother, all the best Mark.
Hi Kaz, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) I agree they are a nice item of kit to own. Very comfortable, built to get better with age and good looking too. The Isle Royal is another awesome pack. I nearly bought one last year, but I couldn't really afford it at the time, but it is still on my wish list :) Frost River make some top quality packs :) Thanks again Kaz, it is great to hear from you, all the best, Mark :)
I was considering the Isle Royal Junior and then I came across this one. And now I'm not sure what to do. Both packs seem really nice. So what's your thoughts about getting the Isle Royal instead of this? 🤔 Hmm.. these kind of decisions are always hard 😬 Take care.
Hi Shane, I hope you are keeping well mate. Thank you as always for watching :) Yeah I like it up there. It used to be my old play ground when I was younger, so it was nice to see it all again. have a great evening mate, all the best, Mark. :)
Thank you for watching Isaac :) Yeah it is a stunning place. I dropped on with the weather, as it can be a bleak, wet place most of the time. Take care, Mark.
Hi Jerry, I hope you are keeping well :) Yeah, I drank it straight down. I needed it after all the clambering around I did. I'm not very good when it gets hot. I prefer the cooler weather. But I'm not complaining :) The pack is great thanks. I'm sure I will be very happy with it. Thanks for watching, all the best, Mark.
That looks like a top bag bit out of my price range at the moment. Thanks for sharing Mark great kit and views looking forward to the next one. Stay safe PJ
Hi Paul, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) Yeah, I must admit, they are a high priced rucksack. You can buy quite a bit of gear for the cost of the pack. Hopefully the cost will pay off over the years :) Have a great evening mate, all the best, Mark.
That little pond you walked by at 1:48, is that the Doxley Pool where Jenny Greenteeth likes to swim? The Roaches are amazing and a place I'd like to visit someday. All the best my friend! Rich
Hi Rich, yes the pool :) I have never seen the mermaid, but it is still a mystical place. You could imagine the ancient druids doing their stuff up there lol. The roaches have great rock climbing routes. Something I used to do when I was younger. Plus it has a wild population wallabies bouncing around the place. You don't tend to see them much nowadays, but the odd ones do get hit by cars. They escaped from Roaches Hall during the second world war and managed to breed. It is an amazing place. It is about 30 minutes drive from home. If you are ever over here rich, I would love to show around up there. I hope you are keeping well, all the best, Mark :)
If I ever get to travel across the pond and I'm near Wrexham, I'll definitely look you up! I don't have a pot to piss in, so don't hold your breath LOL
Hey Mark😀 Wow what a great pack! It’s like the new designs made from old school materials. Congratulations on owning this one. That country was amazing. Hope everything is well with you friend 👍🏻
Hi Joe, I hope you are keeping well my friend :) Yeah my thought entirely. I like the new design, but love the old classic fabrics. It is still relatively light, and a lot easier to repair than a modern pack with plastic buckles and nylon fabric. I also like their no quibble lifetime guarantee. Yeah this part of the country is quite nice. Its only 35 minuets from home, so I ought get out there more often. I used to do a lot of climbing and bouldering up there when I was younger. Have a great weekend Joe, all the best, Mark.
Hi Darryl, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) I was looking at them for a year before I bought it and glad I did. I think there is a Frost River group on Facebook. I'm not 100% but it might also be worth looking at their page to see if their members sell used packs. I would recommend any Frost River pack for their build quality. But the summit boulder pack was the one that suited my needs most. I like the slim profile for squeezing in between rocks and trees etc, but large enough to carry everything that I need. Thanks again Darryl. Have a great day mate, all the best, Mark :)
Nice review my friend and a absolutely lovely pack! That seems like the perfect size and the perfect features. I love those lashing points on the side. Looking forward to seeing it in more videos. Cheers buddy! Wade
Hi Wade, I hope you are keeping well brother. Yeah, the lashing points were the thing that drew me to it. It another well made pack that should last me for years to come. I'm looking forward to the video you will be doing with yours. I know what will happen, I will be gutted that I bought this one and will want the one you bought LOL. Take care Wade, all the best, Mark.
Great vid and lovely pack Mark. Really interesting to see this pack in use and get a feel for scale. Owning a Frostriver pack is definitely on the list. Only trouble is deciding which one :)
Hi Sean, I hope you are keeping well mate :) I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed if you bought one. One thing that surprises me with them is the size. They all seem larger than you would think. One of the most popular is the Isle Royale. I was looking at them at the show, but I think they were around £350. Very nice, but a bit out of my price range. Thanks for watching Sean, all the best, Mark. :)
Hello Mark :) I think that this is one of your best videos. Calming and just beautiful...nature...weather, everything combined and a nice backpack and it's content ofc :) cheers!
Hi Magnus, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I certainly enjoyed the walk and showing you where I live :) Have a great day Magnus, all the best, Mark.
Hi Gerry, I hope you are keeping well :) I thought I would het it uploaded before I went out to work. Another long day done, thankfully :) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, all the best, Mark.
Lovely pack Mark. I suspect it's a joy to ware on your back. There's no doubting it this ones for life - at that price at least. I enjoyed your walk or should I say the combination of review and walk. Great stuff. Have a good week. Mark
Cheers Mark :) Yeah I like the Peak District, I used to do a lot of climbing up there where I was younger, so it was nice to get back up and see the old routes. Love the pack. It is very comfy and well built. Not as many adjustments compared to the modern style packs, but as long as she's loaded right it carries the weight nice. Thanks for watching Mark and taking the time to comment, it is always appreciated :) All the best, Mark :)
I can see you climbing Mark. Close to the rock and digging the earth. It's to go back at times. A pleasure to comment on a good sack and review. The outdoors is in your soul but a useful sack helps.
LOL, I was tempted to try one of the boulder routs, but worried I may slip a disc so I gave it a miss :) Yeah I defiantly agree it is good to visit these old haunts. You can reflect on how much life has past since you were last there and it makes me think I have got to be out more as each year passes :) Thanks as always for taking the time to comment Mark. Have a great day brother, all the best, Mark :)
Sometimes I feel like dancing mark - it's the same thing I guess. Although i won't slip a disk doing that. Not enough people reflect - it's why the planets in a mess. So I like to reflect plenty Mark. A pleasure to comment - you have a great channel - really good at presenting. Peace!
Hi Matt, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Have a great weekend mate, all the best, Mark. :)
Brilliant film Mark as always. Love the rucksack 🖒. Great scenery. Some fantastic climbing and bouldering to be had over that way. Some hard stuff as well ☺. I'll leave them routes to my lad nowadays 😉.
Cheers Rick :) Yeah I used to do a lot of climbing up there when I was younger. Its also got some mint bouldering up there. I stopped and looked at the old routes and problems. I haven't been back for about 15 years, so it was nice to see :) I hope you are keeping well mate, all the best, Mark.
Hi Dave, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Still here my friend. I had to work through last week, so couldn't get out. I hope you are enjoying the weather. Been a bit too hot for me..... roll on Autumn LOL. Thanks for watching as always. Have a great weekend mate, all the best, Mark. :)
I'm loving the hot weather mate. Going out on the bike tomorrow up over Yorkshire. Been a mad few weeks my Mrs finally got her double lung transplant and is on the mend so the futures looking brighter. Have a great weekend Mark
Cheers Dave :) Enjoy your biking mate..... don't forget the sun tan lotion!! I'm glad the Mrs is doing well mate, I hope she has a speedy recovery :) All the best, Mark. :)
I've looked everywhere on RUclips for a review of this. I've thought about getting one for a while now. Thanks for uploading a review Mark. By the way the editing was amazing. Have a great weekend. - Josh
Hi Josh, I hope you are keeping well :) Yeah I'm surprised there aren't any. Frost river are very popular, so you would of thought someone would have done one. It a very good pack Josh. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. Have a great weekend too Josh, all the best, Mark. :)
Another great video, I've got to wait another two weeks for my next wild camp in the shropshire hills so videos like this keep me going lol, keep it up dude!
HI TwoFiveGaming, Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. You must be quite local to me. I used to work in Shropshire, its a stunning county. Have a great camp when you go. Hopefully we will still have the nice weather :) All the best, Mark.
Hi Barry, I hope you are keeping well :) It is a great pack. In fact most of their range is excellent. Thank you for the kind words regarding the editing and filming. It is something I'm enjoying more and more. Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Hi John, many thanks for watching brother :) Yeah it is a pretty place. I used to do a lot of climbing there when I was younger, so it was nice to see the old place again. Very happy with the pack. You guys over there make some great gear!! Take care brother, all the best Mark.
Hi Michael, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) Yeah I have heard the LK35 is a great pack. I think they are made by Haglofs who make some of the best packs on the market. So for the cost, you had brilliant buy. Have a great day, all the best, Mark. :)
Hi Mark I got it from MilitaryMart in Ormskirk Grade A1+ I'm still finding out how much I can get in it. Bought some side pouches to sew on the sides. That's proving a challenge for me at 61 and no needle skills. Do think you ought to look at on of these before they all sell out. Loved your jacket you bought and reviewed recently. Nice 👍🏻 Michael
Hi Michael, yes I will be defiantly taking a look at them at that price. I used to have a Haglofs pack about 25 years ago, and have only just had to get rid of it. I like most of the gear that they make. Yeah, needle skills are something that I don't have much of either. I would look at taking it to a clothing repair/alteration shop and see if they could sew them on for you if you struggle. They usually have sewing machines for heavy fabrics. Thanks for letting me know where to pick one up, I'm sure I will be owning one soon :) Good luck with the sewing Michael...… all the best, Mark. :)
I have the Isle Royale and it is great. Thing is, I never stay out and although perfect, it’s a bit big, so i’m now looking at your pack as an alternative.
Hi Darryl, the Isle Royale is an awesome pack. I looked at buying one a few years ago, but it was out of my price bracket at the time. I'm sure you would be very happy with the Summit Boulder pack. It is a solid rucksack and a perfect size for a day pack. I was looking at the hunter orange version that they make. Just like the rest of the Frost River gear, it looks well made. Thanks for taking the time Darryl, have a great week mate, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Shaun, many thanks for watching mate :) Yeah, hopefully the carving video will be soon. I'm just a bit busy at work at the moment, but as soon as things free up I will get it done. Yeah the spoon in the video was an old birch spoon that I carved. I was going to make it double ended, one side a bit smaller for the sugar. But never got around to it. Thanks again Shaun, all the best, Mark.
nice one mark, thought you might have dropped into ludds church as you seemed to be heading that way. ive been lucky enough to be working all round the area for the last few months ,its been great, my job may not be exciting but i think i have one of the best offices in the world, all the best mate, Dave
Cheers Dave :) I hope you are keeping well. I don't know mate, you have one of the most important jobs in the country. Keeping us going in a straight line down the road :) Defiantly one of the best offices in the world mate. Especially with the weather that we have been having. Its nice to see the scenery. Yeah I skirted around Ludds church, I haven't been there for years. I might go there next time :) Thanks for watching Dave, all the best, Mark.
Thanks for this video...really enjoyed it! I also have a Frost River pack and love it. I couldn't quite catch the insect repellant you carried...can you tell me what it is? thanks! Terry
Hi Terry, I hope you are keeping well. The insect repellent is called Northern Forest. I met the guy who makes it the other day, and he was saying that he makes it in a forest up in Scotland. All made by hand over an open fire, just like the good old days. Here is a link to it and where you can but it. www.woodland-ways.co.uk/buy-online-northern-forest-insect-repellent-15ml-tin-1535.html Yeah, I love my Frost River packs too. There is something about the look and feel of them. Plus you know that they are going to last for years to come. Thanks again Terry, all the best, Mark.
What a beautiful intro and outro 😎👍 Pathfinder sells some good water kits. Do you have to use a plastic bag liner for waterproofing the contents inside? It looks like a wonderful pack.
Hi Kanzee, I hope you are having a nice weekend :) Many thanks for watching. Yes I tend to use a dry bag if I don't have an external rain cover. I trust the main fabric to hold most rain out, but it is better to be safe than sorry :) The location at the beginning is about 30minutes from home. It is usually busy with rock climbers, so it was nice to have it to my self :) Thanks as always, all the best, Mark :)
Looks a beautiful area it's so close but I have never been. Looked like someone was well set with the hammock in the background as you set off. What was the Grenade bar like? Pack looks good too. Cheers Sel
Hi Sel, I hope you are keeping well mate :) You should have a run down the Roaches sometime, it is lovely. I only live about 35 minutes away, but its not very often I drive out there anymore. I used to a lot of climbing there when I was younger, so it was good to see the old boulders and routes up the crags. The grenade bars are well nice. I usually have the 'Jaffa Quake'. You can pick them up in Morrisons. Cheers for watching Sel, all the best, Mark. :)
I've been looking at Frost River packs for a few years now, and this particular pack might be the one I get. The size seems right for a comfortable use..Not too wide, and seems like mobility is much easier. Do you still use the pack?
Hi David, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Frost River make some excellent packs. I chose this for the very reason that it isn't too wide. As for comfort, it is a very comfortable pack overall, with plenty of adjustments on the straps. The only down side is it has no waist strap. Maybe that is because all the other packs I have, do have one and it is something I am used to. But apart from that the build quality, fabric and leather is all top notch. Yes I still use the pack. I mainly use it on day hikes or when I don't need to carry loads of gear. I think I used it in the video before last that I did. Thanks again David, all the best, Mark :)
Nice video on a very nice looking day pack, thanks for sharing Mark. One quick question Mark, that fire ring you pulled out that you use with your trangia spirit burner, did you make that or did you buy it? Again, thanks for sharing, atb, Paul.
Hi Paul, many thanks for watching ang taking the time to comment :) The fire ring I made, I bought steel off ebay and simply rolled it around a water bottle to get the shape. I think you can buy something similar from the Pathfinder website. But they are very simple to make :) Have a great day Paul, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Chris, I hope you are keeping well mate :) It weighs about 3.5lb, so compared to the modern lightweight packs it is heavier. But nothing too noticeable. Its an important factor with me as I'm not the biggest bloke. So I tried it out before I bought it. Thanks for watching mate, all the best, Mark.
No way!! What a stunning place where you live Gary :) Its only 35 minuets drive for me. I used to do a lot of climbing up there when I was younger, so it is always nice to get back up there. I will let you know when I'm next thinking of going up and yeah, deffo call in for a cuppa mate. Have a great day Gary, all the best, Mark. :)
Hi KingSmegma, not far off mate. I'm from Stoke, so we have a bit of Scouse and brummie thrown in to our own dialect. No wonder people can't understand us lol. Cheers mate, have a great day :)
Thanks, Mark.
I admire the integrity and straight-forward approach of your work. I always learn from you.
Thankyou for sharing.
Regards
Imran
Hi Imran, I hope you are keeping well brother :) Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you find the videos informative. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, all the best, Mark. :)
Nice scenery well filmed. Thanks for taking us with you.
Hi OUT NOW Outdoors, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) I'm gad you like the scenery. It was a lucky day, you can't usually see that far as it is usually foggy or raining. Thanks again, Mark. :)
Another great no nonsense upload and Gear review, Thanks Mark.
Hi bigearedmouse17, I hope you are keeping well :) Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, all the best, Mark :)
Sunning looking place Mark! Thanks for showing us the pack, they make some quality kit.
Hi David, I hope you are keeping well :) Yeah, I was very impressed by their range of packs. Some a bit too pricey for me, but all well made and look nice. Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark.
Great video, Mark! Absolutely beautiful day and I enjoyed seeing all the landmarks and man-made structures. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Brian, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. It is a stunning place..... I was lucky with the weather as it is usually raining or foggy up there and you hardly see anything :) Have a great day brother, all the best Mark.
I have and love that pack so much I'm thinking of getting the Isle Royal.

Lovely Mark. Great scenery there, and great looking day pack, like that. Thanks mate, hope you’re well.
Hi Shane, I hope you are keeping well mate. Thank you as always for watching :) Yeah I like it up there. It used to be my old play ground when I was younger, so it was nice to see it all again. have a great evening mate, all the best, Mark. :)
Great new pack mark. Much fun with it best wishes
Hi Florain, I hope you are well :) Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. All the best, Mark. :)
Nice landscapes!
Thank you for watching Isaac :) Yeah it is a stunning place. I dropped on with the weather, as it can be a bleak, wet place most of the time. Take care, Mark.
Hi Mark, looks like a really nice day pack, missed seeing you enjoying you brew. Keep up the good work.
Hi Jerry, I hope you are keeping well :) Yeah, I drank it straight down. I needed it after all the clambering around I did. I'm not very good when it gets hot. I prefer the cooler weather. :)

Nice review bro.
Hi brother, I hope you are keeping well. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) All the best, Mark.
Hi mate great video and some lovely views looking forward to the carving video the spoon you had with you did you carve that yourself
Mark the waist strap is canvas and leather more less the same as the isle bushcraft pack
Hi Michael, many thanks for watching and for the comment. Thank you for the information :) All the best, Mark.
Mark Bailey love your vids brother
Thank you for the kind words :)
What a beautiful intro and outro 😎👍
Pathfinder sells some good water kits.
Yeah, there were a couple of climbers getting ready near by, so I presume it was theirs. Its a nice place to spend a night :)
@@markbailey2981 Thanks for the update, and great video!
Many thanks for the quick reply, sounds like another little project coming my way. Have a great day Mark, cheers, Paul.
That looks like a quality piece of kit mark, is it a heavy pack ?
Hi Chris, I hope you are keeping well mate :) It weighs about 3.5lb, so compared to the modern lightweight packs it is heavier. But nothing too noticeable. Its an important factor with me as I'm not the biggest bloke. So I tried it out before I bought it. Thanks for watching mate, all the best, Mark.
Hey that’s my back garden, you should have dropped in for a cuppa and meet the misses
You a Scouser by any chance? Your dialect is very close to a mate of mine who's a Scouse.
Hi KingSmegma, not far off mate. I'm from Stoke, so we have a bit of Scouse and brummie thrown in to our own dialect. No wonder people can't understand us lol. Cheers mate, have a great day :)
Those bugs are doing a fuckin madness
Terrible pack, why would anyone not put water bottle pockets on the sides
