Drove to my local junkyard and Found some much needs parts for my foxbody mustang CHEAP! HOWEVER I ended up spending more money for extras! Come SEE what i found! Junkyard GOLD!

I worked at a wrecking yard in high school it was the best job I ever had. Definitely not the best paying. I love this kinda of content. I even went through and watched all of 50tussins junkyard videos. Nice treasure's you got today 👍

man, if this is a "no-kill" yard where you can buy cars whole, i'd nab that sucka in a second! red on red, mint headliner, maybe replace the instrument panel with some Racepack or autometer aftermarket setup used. then go walk the truck aisle, ford had some conversion buses on van chassis that used what looks like fox mustang taillights just flipped over (don't know the year, just saw it and filed it away). find an aftermarket fibreglass hood for a 351W swap, hammer out that fender. That quarter rear glass, tho, that's not fun to find which is probably why it's gone. i'd just fill it with pexiglass and call it a day.
Junkyards in the late 80’s early 90’s were so awesome. Full of 60’s and 70’s cars. Endless amounts of big blocks sitting in land yachts. I have so many memories. So many cars that I wish I had the money back then to just buy the complete car as it sat there. Many of them were low compression smog motors but with a ton of potential.

Bro that’s crazy it took me 3 months and about 50 boneyards to find a set of gt40s up here in Massachusetts and here you are with 3 sets alone in that junkyard! Nice score neo👊

That's a hell of a junk yard .. organized, still has useful stuff.. all the ones in this area are just mud yards with cars thrown on top of each other, some times 10 high

if you ever need more explorer stuff let me know. i have a yard full of them. as soon as one of these fail smog i usually get them for $200. usually its just a bad cat.

Can’t tell you how many gt40 heads and intakes I’ve pulled. Used to sell them on the corral lol. Now I’m looking for those 4v Lincoln’s and aluminum 4.6 blocks since everything I have now is mod motors.

Man this is my local yard we were there around the same time I pulled the red visors off that 93 coupe and I planned to pick those red seat belts but I didn’t have the right bits on me. BUT MAN THAT WAS A GREAT RED INTERIOR I wish I could have swapped it all
That rear window on the coupe would bring some bucks. Hard to get them out though without breaking.

Them door panels looked good in the coupe from what I could see? That’s something I need for my 86. Unfortunately if you go to LMR, AM they are expensive. I have electric windows in it. Mines a TTOP Fox which I’ve wanted since the day I seen one on Street car forums back In the day. Since then I’ve loved the TTop Foxbodies. I mean I love them all but the TTop is something special to me lol.

Good core parts for the machine shop. Gonna do well with them. Got some extractions.
That's an RS not an IROC...they had a manual 5.0 liter (305) that was about as fast as a good running auto 5.0 Mustang. Used to put a hurting on those suckers back in the day lol!

Hey Dan, question can i run a stock 60mm tb and stock maf on gt 40 intake and 3 bar heads and make good power? I have read all the stock induction can handle 300hp is this true. Trying to get into the 12s maybe 11s

@@Neomustangs thanks sorry for the many questions i have the heads bolted down iam on the fence of efi or should i carb it. I want to keep it efi get it into 12s with out having to tune it. I heard bigger tb and mass air ecu dont read properly car will run like crap.So thanks for all your advice very heplful in my aproach to this build. Keep em ford keep em fast 💪

Make sure to check under hood. Seen a handful of explorers and mountaineers no badge but has v8

Thanks dan ill run it with stock tb and maf, with gt 40 heads and intake stock cam long tubes and 19s. My 89 ran on all stock motor , shorty belt 3.08s some wieght out 13.74 @103mph on street radial and i spun too 60 foot was 2.1

Love me some junk yard horsepower. Getting ready to do a gt40p head exploder upper and lower and throttle body swap on my 92 calypso coupe. What is everyone using for valve springs upgrades these days? Gonna use the anderson n41 cam. I've used Alex parts kits in the past with great results but he has no stock.

Do you sell the heads? I'd be interested in a set of the gt40 heads. I'm somewhat local to you. Every time I've been to that u pull it I always miss the gt40 stuff haha.
I do but they are cores at this stage. Much work needs done before they go on fox engine. Milled. Tanked. MicD. Ground. All new spring set etc
What year ford explore gt40 heads come on I have a 93 foxbody which heads year is better 🤔 u should have bought that red mustang

Sounds like i need to go there. My u pull it doesn't have any fox bodies. Oldest mustang they have is a 98.
Get those spindles and rear backing plates from axles !
I would but would like to get some 94 or 95. For my 79 mustang ghia 5.0 coupe.
@@Ohiocountryboy-se2cn it really don’t matter which you get. But 94-95 do fit better. The rest disc back plates and calipers tho are same 95 up

There gt40-P heads and "( P intake plenum & manifold there not the regular gt40's that come on 93-95 cobras just saying

@@Neomustangs if my memory serves me right the GT40 "P's" had a little smaller chamber then ones that came on the cobras so they made a little more power, everyone loved them

@@Neomustangs mine had a leather wrapped red airbag wheel but the leather was toast. I bought a plain scarlet airbag wheel just because it was in slightly better shape.
I'm not much of a coupe fan but wish I could get that Iroc and 2 of those whole GT40 engines, that would my my next build my 87 hatch and the iroc lol
Ya the roc would been could cool. I’m not a big Chevy guy but if there ever was one was same years as my mustang. Be cool to have the nemesis sitting next to each other.
