    Loved it bud it's amazing what you can pull with a budget intended mindset instead of paying for everything new, little bit of elbow grease, sanding, and some fresh paint on those 5 lug swap parts and you're good to go. This video got me thinking it sucks that the Fusion and New edge fans won't retro fit to our cars especially new edge stuff.

      5.0 tussin channel also does some junkyard hunting if someone wants to know what to look for. like you said, cheaper to find this OEM quality stuff than grab an aftermarket kit and hope for the best. i live in the snow belt, so cars this old would be rusted underneath. we all want to be respectful of the next picker, but a rusted nub of a fastener can turn a 1 hr pull to an all day job.

    What is a good transmission air cooler and fan for the fox you can get at a junkyard? I know some frown upon I but u have used a used one before and worked fine. I would like to get a stronger one. Budget is low and I like how you shop the junkyard

    • @alertgasper
      @alertgasper 5 месяцев назад

      that would be an interesting question. all i can think of is check the trucks set up for towing or RV conversion vans. you may find an aftermarket setup on one, but that'd be good enough. As for a cooling fan for a trans cooler, i'd guess some research on what CFM is needed, and then buy a fresh wiring setup so it turns on at the temp you need so you aren't relying on something past its prime.

    2 Ranger drivers side axles is what I used for the swap, and they fit perfect. Is the Explorer rear axle the same as the Ranger?

    • @Neomustangs
      @Neomustangs  2 года назад +1

      NO larger axles. You can reuse the gears in the explorer and use the diff as a budget 31 spline upgrade.

    • @Mustang_Chris
      @Mustang_Chris 2 года назад +1

      @@Neomustangs yes 31 spline vs 28 spline. What about the lengths? That's why 2 driver side axles worked. Just wondering if the Explorer axles in some combination would work too. I did it over 20 years ago and all these Explorers were still on the road instead of Pick n Pull.

    • @Neomustangs
      @Neomustangs  2 года назад +1

      @@Mustang_Chris THe explorer axle themselves is larger and the housings are bigger. The Diff can be transferred to a fox/sn95 axle to be used as an upgrade with aftermarket axles. Saves money and they work just fine.

    • @Mustang_Chris
      @Mustang_Chris 2 года назад

      @@Neomustangs Oh I didn't know the whole housing and everything was bigger. Could the whole thing be swapped, maybe with a little cutting/welding to make the control arm brackets line up? Stronger housing, axles, diff, and disc brakes all in one swap? Are both sides equal lengths? Just thinking about feasibility.
