Again this is exactly why this is one of my favorite fox body channels. You’re out putting in the work making those foxes better. I get tired of always seeing big money builds. Its just cool to me to see how much you can do with a budget and some work! BTW its Thanksgiving today as Im watching and Im working here at home getting my GT40 heads going

You got lucky with the newer ball joints. I yank the bottom strut bolt to give me more space, and then deal with the nut on the ball joint, followed by breaking the spindle free from the ball joint. If you take off both strut bolts, and then go about hitting the ball joint to break it free, the whole a-arm can freely fall down with each wack. Having the upper strut bolt in place, stops that from happening.

I've been following you for some years now. Always loved your content when it comes to Mustangs. Hopefully one day you can build a SN95 for us guys. I own a 94 Convertible, I'm in the process of building. Would love to see you your visual on a build.

I always use two hammers one on each side of ball joint or tie rod end hitting both side at once. Pops the off with out damage to nuts, threads,or the stud.
Glad you snaged the explorer intake. I have one ,molded it by cutting open the end. File/grind/ flat. Make a gasket . Use a piece of 1/4" flat aluminum for a cover drill and tap to close up the hole after you ports the runners which are now assesable.

Glad to see videos like this, i would also recommend the factory subframe connectors off that convertible Mustang, that can get used on basic Foxes for perhaps cheaper than an aftermarket one at full retail. you might want to do a vid on the tools to bring to a recycler and what's not allowed. every time i see a FBM ad for brand name tools for cheap because they're used, i think it would be good to make up a dedicated junkyard kit to tote around on a specific cart. For example, a regular claw hammer can get converted into a rubber mallet by slipping the rubber foot of a crutch over the face of the hammer--takes up less space than two different BFH's in a cart. perhaps a multi-meter for checking out electronics. and so on.

joints, struts, steering links on a 02 Mustang GT last month.

A lot of good junkyard stuff is still out there and plentiful. 3 and 4 bar GT40 heads, exploder upper and lower manifold (ugly version of the GT40/Cobra), 65MM exploder TB, 70mm MAFs found on 94-95 SN cars as well as T-birds with F2VF sensors. 3.73s out of an 8.8 truck or exploder. All of the above will put a Fox deep in the 12s on a tire and look pretty much stock.

Dan, I'm thinking about changing intakes from stock to an explorer manifold. I still have the EGR on my original motor and plan to keep it. With the explorer manifolds does it matter if I get a non-egr version and transfer stuff over or I need an egr version? I'm trying to gain some knowledge. I do want to add GT40 Heads as well .
