These are the kinda videos people need to see so they don’t lose hope on their projects
Correct. I am using this subframe as more of an alignment thing with the extra sheet metal i have been saving for years make use of it.
Gotta keep these cars alive, it means something putting in the work on a car like that. Sentimentality will only increase when it's finished.
I put a set of those on my totally rust free Florida '88 Mustang. Really made a difference in the handling. Highly recommend.
on one hand, i get that some builders can only afford to save their car by getting used parts off someone who is cutting up a classic....on the other hand...i wish the real 5.0 would get saved and the 4 bangers get cut up (i live in the rust belt, so a solid 4 lunger would be nice for us up here to do a swap). Glad to see a video on what it takes to save a "parts car".
Great video man, Neo saves another one!
I would totally save that. Have a similar albeit less rust situation on project 91 GT. Driver side floor pan needs patch where feet go so ordered a new floor pan from LMR and intend to cut out larger section and weld it in… will be no more rust at that point. These cars are well worth saving to you and I!
Cousin just finished replacing floor pans, a-pillars and the parts the doors bolt to. It was bad and fixed. Dropped in a 347 and tkx. Send it. Just finished my own 363 as well
Good work Bro! I appreciate you helping him to hold on to his Fox!
Im from the south. We dont get much road salt, at all. So, we dont get that kind of rust. But i still dont think, that fox should be parted out, rust wise. Id fix it, if I had it.Thank you for fixing it.
I have the exact same set on my 91 LX vert.
It’s a well made piece and helped a lot.
First upgrade it did when I got my foxbody. I went with maximum motorsport sub frames 👍
Awesome video, love the restoration and saving content! I think alot of people shy away from fab work because they are too scared to do it or don't want to pay the money to have it done.
Ya it’s def not easy
I have done floor pans on an '88. WI rust belt.
Cool video. Wow on the driver’s side floor rust 😳. I’ve missed a few Sunday night Chats. My Dad has had some serious health issues but is luckily still with us. My Mom was with him the past weeks at the hospital mornings to afternoon n I did the evenings. He’s improving and hopefully I’ll get back in the shop and start with my cars again. Are you going to Ford Carlisle? I’m plan to go with a Buddy selling parts. If you go or anyone in here goes stop by n Chat. Row G , spots 69-70. Hopefully weather cooperates.
MAGNUM P.I.!!!
I can appreciate the efforts but suspension should be fully loaded when doing subframe connectors
It was tack welded with weight …
Im always amazed that sub frame connectors that are suppose to prevent a car from twisting. ... Are usually welded into a car that is usually already twisted. Why dont people put the car on a frame machine and square it BEFORE welding?
Great video and very informative 🤟🤟🤟🤟
I get what you're trying to do. Not a bad idea. Think it's going to do what you want it to
Great info!!!
Ty Jason!
Nice! Can you do a video on putting in the floor pan? I need to replace one and need some help lol
My 91’ Lx wasn’t even seam sealed on the drivers side rocker to floor pan. Lol
No rust there but I can see light through the panel gap while driving as I removed the carpet.
Also know the pains of the rust belt, I’m in Nebraska.
Dan, Have you or know anyone who has used G force bolt in full length subframe connectors?
Great video, save them as best you can!!!
THx Dave
I’ve felt body flex in my 91’Lx 2.3 turbo, I’d like to install some subframe connectors like those Stiffler’s.
Excellent job Daddy Dan. Can’t part that car. Loads of first gen mustangs are saved with that same amount of rust or worse.
I'm ordering a Kenne bell supercharger for my stock 89 5.0
It comes with a 6lb pulley, with a 9lb optional one available. Can a stock block handle 9lbs or boost?
Thanks.......love your channel.👍
What cam do you like to run on your turbo 351w builds? Thanks
Keep your Fox bodies in storage during the winter months if you live in the Rust Belt parts of the country!!!
