      LS swaps are the worst... The way they come out and make you look like a retard when they blow the doors off your $10k Windsor stroker with a stock 5.7 and a turbo 😆... If they cared about being brand loyal they wouldn't do it, they care about making real power without having to buy a dart block to keep it from splitting in half... So tired of this dumb comment

    5 things but all are particular.
    Rarely but sometimes Clear LX tails go good on some cars but it’s 100% Color based
    Painted intakes can be tasteful but they can’t be colourful keep it neutral (greys and blacks)
    GT bumper cuts are usually bad but when I got my car it was cut pretty well but it was a semi circle to the bottom not through the centre.
    Small cowls are nice, Nothing bigger than a 3 inch and no full length over cowl hoods.
    Carb swaps are completely acceptable. You do what you want but especially when the wiring was ruined by a previous owner. But keep the efi if you can.

    I'm gonna get smoked for saying this, but I hate seeing cheese graters removed and LX lenses on GTs. Yes I had a 85 Canadian Mustang GT. It had the Cobra name on the rear spoiler. I bought it brand new in Cleveland, OH. In June of 85 if you wanted a GT you had to order it because all the Ford dealers were sold out. A dealer in the Cleveland suburbs imported 6 GT's from Canada and I bought one. The speedometer was in kilometer and when up to 115 mph under the kph numbers. I had to take the car back to the dealership so they could change the speedometer to the US mph speedo. It only went up to 85 mph but there was no peg to stop the needle. The needle didn't stop until you hit the tripometer reset button at the bottom. I figure that to be about 115-120 mph.

    My # 1 is always keep the Ford, Ford powered! I am so tired of the played out ls crap.
    I agree with the tail lights and headlights but I do like the tinted LX tail lights and the head lights.
    I like the big tach. Don't need the big shift light though.
    I'll take a carb over old efi any day of the week! Having dealt with the many head aches of a buggy old efi set up. I love the simplicity of a high rise 4V intake and carb. Not to mention being able to pull the valve covers without having to mess with the intake! Plus I like the looks of a carbed engine.

    • @SolaireofAstoraFH
      @SolaireofAstoraFH 2 года назад

      As someone with a carbed 306 fox, I can say I would like to swap in an LS for the simple fact that it’s compact, light and strong. I would love to do a coyote or bbf but they take up too much room. You can get a LSX454 and it still be smaller than a 5.0 coyote. Plus it’s lighter. More displacement, more room, lighter car. Theres just too many pros vs cons and that’s why so many people pick an LS.

      @@StainlessTIG2 Ford beats Chevys, Chevys beat Fords, Dodges beat them both and vice versa - and I've even seen a couple of Hondas smoke all 3. The brand loyalty thing kills me. Use what works for you whether its a stroked out 351, a a Hemi, RB, sbc / bbc, LS, LT, modular / coyote - whatever works.
      For a restoration, I appreciate the car having at least things that were options for that car. I don't want to see a C2 Vette that's coyote swapped for example. For a race car it's an entirely different story. I don't care what the car came with from the factory.

    As for #2 please don't judge me to harshly. After an uninsured motorist tuned in front of me, a GT nose was the only replacement I could find in my price range. However, I did not do the whole GT ground effects package. I only did what I had to do. And with the Cobra grill insert, most folks don't notice until I point it out.

    Great video, very entertaining! The one thing I would say is that although I don't recommend removing a healthy AC system from your Fox, I got rid of mine (it was shot) and have never regretted it. It had nothing to do with the tiny fraction of a horsepower you might save, but more to do with getting rid of extra weight and clutter under the hood. I would say that the only reason to keep your AC is that the Fox is your only car, and you live in an area that is hot all the time. My Mustang gets driven a lot, but if it's so hot and humid that I feel the need for AC, I drive my truck. The 'Stang feels like a pig in that kind of weather anyway.

The foxbody we got was meant to be the "more practical" daily driver and her fun car show/cruise around ride is a 1969 Oldsmobile 442. Big blocks aren't ideal for fuel economy lol it's barely street legal. I'm happy to report she's now nearly 20 and still has never gotten a speeding ticket, despite what all the other parents going berserk said!
