You the man Dannie...Putting it out there for us guys that need a little extra in understanding a cost effective way to approach these upgrades. Thanks again
Only adjust the top hole on the spindle! I did this ats swap and modified both holes to the correct bolt pattern and the caliper rubbed on my 03 terminator wheels on my 85’ stand. I ended up welding and re drilling the bottom hole on a mill.
Now my question is how would these big calipers fair with a manual brake master cylinder? I'm getting ready to pull my motor, clean up my engine and considering getting rid of the brake booster.
My chevelle with 2002 Camaro disc brakes, the front brake calipers look exactly like the factory sn95 front calipers. Planning to swap spindles on my fox soon and see if Camaro calipers bolt to sn95 spindles.
The Joy's of stick shift..I haven't really used my breaks in the 5 years I've owned my car...my break stuff is still like new...although I think mabe I should do an upgraded break system.over the winter..I have a big list of stuff that needs to be done.
I had a 89 hatchback with a Paxton novi 2000. It did 10.32@131 with stock brakes. Yes it was an adventure lol. I have a stock 88 gt convert. Now i might start building a little. The 89 is long gone.
I’ve been around fox body’s and done all the mods you can think of for past nearly 30 years and never saw those calipers. Sounds like a solid upgrade for very fair money. I did the cobra pbr calipers front and rear years ago on my ‘93 Cobra. They work great too.
I have an 89 convertible that is completely stock. I don't plan on running serious power but I do want looks. Can you put SN95 wheels on the rear drum brakes as long as you put a 5 lug axel? Asking since that's what it looks like you did. Thanks!
Exactly what I need to do, right now I have a turd of a flat tappet 5.0 motor the previous owner swapped into an 85 3.8 car. I plan to buy a roller cam motor to build for some power
Is the 94-95 spindle necessary if you use lowering springs? Not having the notch lowers the tie rod end. Lowering the car raises the tie rod end. This "roughly" balances out. Is my thinking correct or is there something else I'm missing?
Can you make me a parts list with #. To do the front. I already have the 94 front spindle “. So need pads. Cadillac caliper, and rotors part or part number. Thanks Neo
I have the 95 spindles on my fox and Im looking to do this swap. I didn't hear you mention what year and size the new rotors where??? Are they the 13" cobra rotors? Please advise.
Hey Dan - I'm doing the same upgrade on my notch. Any idea of what wheel would fit with those calipers? I'd like to do a set of SVE NVX wheels but not sure about the clearance
Nice video! I got my brembo's from rockauto for about $120 each. I have 99 mustang gt spindles. Got the 99' cobra's 13" rotor's from rockauto also cheap!! Have not installed yet but, coming soon!
Thank you for making this video. My last comment on your live stream show was regarding my next mod on my 95 Gt "Brembos". The Gt500 breaks also fit with the 95 spindles (if I remember correctly, it's pricey) Regarding the Brembos: a 17" rim on the car is a must, and I also believe there is an offset bushing that has to be machined to get better contact surface between the break and it's disc. 👍 On the Brembo upgrade video tho.
The Cadillac calipers messes up the brake bias. I was going to do the upgrade myself but Jack from Maximum Motorsports advised me not to. They look cool but the car will stop worse.
Thanks NEO great vid and awesome information on brakes, I learn something all the time from your vids. BTW I have most of the parts for the coyote swap now, few small pieces left. Hows your schedule looking this fall and winter?
Dan! Glad your covering this. I did this upgrade last year. Hope you consider doing the offset bushing vs drilling the spindles. Not sure what you think but I prefer not to remove meat from a structural member even if it's minor. Looking forward to your install. Keep up the content.
+1. Your stuff is great aswell. Have you decided how many cubic inches your going to yet? Your last video (I believe) was left on a cliffhanger, perhaps building momentum for the next video.
Hey Dan is it possible to use the 95 96 spindle and still keep it 4 lug do they even offer a wheel bearing ? Digging the into by the way lol 😂 your car is going to stop on a dime and give you 2 cents change bro 😎
You the man Dannie...Putting it out there for us guys that need a little extra in understanding a cost effective way to approach these upgrades. Thanks again
I know this is an old video but did you have any fitment issues with the front wheels that you have? I want the same rims…
What's the Callahan rotor part number. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I’ll Have to look I’ll be revisiting this topic very soon.
What chip for A9L you recommend?
Custom tune from a dyno shop.
Great info Dan, thanks for this. Budget brake stuff is something some of the other channel's don't focus on.
You bet
Rock auto also sells the 03-04 Mach 1/Cobra calipers & rotors which bolt up directly to the SN95 spindles without modification.
Brembos about same price and better

" They play nice with your rack". Not the first time I have heard that.
Spindles 94-95 better for rack vs 96+

Well caddy brakes are GM if I’m not mistaken
Killer deal for a little bit of work. I’ve laid into my caddy brakes pretty hard and zero fade or anything. Haven’t touched them since I set them up.
Nice !
Always good info when it comes to Neo
Always! TY
Dang that was a surprise about Cadillac brakes fitting the 94 spindles

Ya my white turbo car has pbr and cobra brakes on it. Stops very well 140+ Still
Do you have the link to pbr cobra calibers and are they direct fit to 94-95 spindles?/ thanks
Great info I did not know!!! Thank you!! See ya Sunday
Have you ever tested the Maximum Motorsports Brake Upgrade Kit?
I have not no.
I run the MM kit on my 89. Excellent update. High speed stopping power has little to no heat fade.
@@joey4872 great! Thanks for the insight. That's exactly what I wanted to know.

You can put any 5 lug ford wheel on once you swap axles. These axles are 9" ends Moser aftermarkets
Looking forward to seeing the install video on the front calipers!
Coming soon!
Those are some big brakes!
Imagine if someone just made new sn95 spindles. Sell like hotcackes!!
OK I REALLY WANT TO SEE THE INSTALL VIDEO AND EVERYTHING YOU HAD TO DO TO MAKE THIS KIT WORK, THIS LOOKS LIKE A REAL GOOD CHEAP UPGRADE.
WE will get to it i promise!
@@Neomustangs did you ever get the install video up? I looked around on your channel and couldn't find it but I may have passed it over.

Nice!
good upgrade for the cheap on 4 piston calipers !
For sure !
S&s engineering makes inserts for the calipers so you don't have to drill your spindles.
Interesting! Make more videos of the installation please
Ya only 2 parts to this. Intro and install one side
Could you send me the link for the brake calipers? Please

It’s in the video I already did…
S&s engineering has a kit to install these calipers without having to drill out the spindles.
Ya I seen it
Cool. I'm putting this setup on my new edge. I plan on doing it to my fox too.
I have the 95 spindles on my fox and Im looking to do this swap. I didn't hear you mention what year and size the new rotors where??? Are they the 13" cobra rotors? Please advise.
Ya just cobra rotors
Hey Dan - I'm doing the same upgrade on my notch. Any idea of what wheel would fit with those calipers? I'd like to do a set of SVE NVX wheels but not sure about the clearance
Should fit

Right ! I can’t believe i overlooked this
Will the 99 -04 spindle work
Yes
Can u send a parts list cuz I have a 95 I want to upgrade like that
It’s pretty self explanatory in the video. I think I talked about all the parts ?
@@Neomustangs it's the coolest thing I seen
Gonna order this setup brotha. Thanks to you. 💯
Did these Cadillac calipers end up working or was the idea scrapped?
They work just fine, just never installed them. Theres other channels that have.
Thanks for the reply. I'm interested in trying the swap at some point.

Awesome video!!👊🏻

Do you take customers cars? I would love to have some work done.
Depends on work.
@@Neomustangs brake and suspension maybe exhaust?
Dan would this brembo brake set up be the equivalent to an 03/04 cobra front brakes or would it be a little better thanks for any help
Better
Hey man I have the 03 cobra brakes front and rear would there be any point in going with the brembos on the front?
Ooommggg you just saved me a ton of money right now no BS
Nice! Some really good write ups here on the tube about these brakes. Check them out. Ill be installing my own version soon.

Ima try it out. Can’t be any harder to stop than I have. I can always go back ya know. Gonna try the S&S kit ?
Repair Geek has a video about this as well. Swapping to the Taurus rear brake calipers will put that bias back to stock(or close enough)
About what RPM are you generally trying to launch at Dano?
4500 ish
Dan ,
Your content is great ! Really helping me. I have a few questions. if you wouldn’t mind answering , how can i contact you ?

Take a look at s&s engineering on Facebook they make some brembo swap stuff that may help out
Bad ass, brake caliper upgrade. Cadillac gotta go though. Red paint from autozone and some decals and you are styling bro!
Ya haven’t figured out what I want to put in that spot yet.
Brembo (?)
Looking forward to the tkx review
There’s a company that sells the adapters so you don’t have to drill anything
Yep

Off set bushings??
No need for brakes, just keep it floored 🤪😅🤣😂
Cool brake info Vid bro
Haha 😂
Great intro

I'm surprised SVE or someone, hasn't reproduced the 94-95 spindles. Good video, if you're pushing some H.P. you need to update.
Ya for sure. I’m sure it’s been talked about
Looking into this set up found s&s engineering makes a kit to run this caliber on sn95 spindles,I’m only worried about want wheel options I may have
Yea
I paid 280for my brembo 6pixton calipers from 2018mustang gt
Honestly I think brake and suspension should be addressed first but I'm just like everyone else more POWAH! 😁

That’s interesting. You’d have to modify the hub and rotor but anything is possible. With these kinda brakes you’d have to stay 17” on front
Where you find at mustang black it Nice just text me
