I went to school at Pitt State when this was game played. I was really close to buying tickets ($10) to root on nearby Fort Scott. I ended up skipping it. Little did I know it would be such a good game and that future JUCO champ, D1 champ, Heisman trophy winner, first round pick, and NFC champ Cam Newton would be playing...🤦♂️
@mmwhitney2 yeah and the play right after that was not a fumble. FSCC Quarterback's arm was clearly in a forward movement when it got knocked out. That game had the worst officating that I have ever seen!
@jogeysb For real san franciso state? I used to get disappointed when my alma mater (FSU) would schedule D1-AA teams to play against. They always got crushed, and made all of us look like all stars. The citadel, samford, chatanooga, jacksonville state... Average score was 68-10

@caronnaxtra LOL. Obviously you know very little about what your talking about. The FCS (1-AA) teams you listed are some of the worst out there (except for J. State which was actually a close game). Try scheduling some real FCS (1-AA) competition like App. State, Deleware, E. Washington, Villanova, Richmond, Montana, W&M, etc. I guarantee you the game would be a hell of a lot closer than 68-10. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these teams I've listed would upset FSU.
this is a joke. the stadium that the "national championship" took place in was smaller than the field I played football in High School at. Sad thing is I went to HS in Metro NY, where it is not considered "big", or "important", like the south and midwest. From there I got a scholarship to THE Florida State University, where I played from 2006-2010. Now FSU vs Blinn, yea that's a joke.
