10:51, there absolutely must be one of two rulings by the refs. Either delay of game on the defense, as they fell on the ball and caused the offense to be unable to execute another play. Whether the defense intentionally forced the clock to run is irrelevant, the fact they delayed the game is a penalty. And yes, this has been called previously, most commonly in hurry up situations where the defense holds the ball carrier after a tackle and doesn’t allow them to get back for the next play. The only other call is a fumble, in which case the clock still stops with change of possession. You can’t simply allow the defense to lay on the ball for nearly 10 seconds to end a game.

The current trajectory of Georgia football could be entirely different if Georgia wins that 2012 SEC Championship. It would mean a likely national title over ND, and Mark Richt having an even longer lease on that job regardless of how the following seasons went. The biggest question mark is if a title would have improved recruiting anywhere close to the consistent level Kirby Smart has reached.
Nebraska could have our own video of this. We had a wide receiver false start on a 4th and inches where we were QB sneaking. His literal job was just stand there and he couldn’t do it without messing up lol

I was at that TN-GA game where Jalen Hurd show boated in the end zone. As a lifelong TN Vols fan, I'm so happy they are back on top like they were in the 90s and early 2000s.
Ah, that 2016 Tennessee-UGA game brings back memories...of how much I hated Butch Jones. Tennessee was clearly superior to so many teams on their schedule that year, and let them hang around. They let Florida take a 21-0 lead (though they pounded them afterwards), and needed a Hail Mary to beat Georgia. They also managed to lose to South Carolina after a bye week (and got clown-stomped by Vandy). Although 9-4 might have looked good, that was an 11-win team there, who should have shown more than a 49-10 loss to Alabama. It was a precursor to 2017, which is Tennessee's only 8-loss team in history (and 0-8 in the SEC). Good riddance to bad rubbish.
That Arizona State player knew what he was doing by staying on the ball that long. You can see when he gets set on defense that he knew. Heads up football there.
I've seen this play out in multiple games where the defense gets to delay the snap on a running clock and the officials rarely acknowledge it, add time back, or throw a flag.
If you ever do another round, I have three suggestions: 1. A two-parter from the 2018 Alabama-Tennessee game, where a Vol catches a kickoff on the one yard line, *then* signals for the fair catch. (Ball ends up on the one); next play, the Vols give up a safety, along with an unsportsmanlike penalty for good measure. 2. The 2002 "Bluegrass Miracle" -- honorable "what are you doing" mention to the Kentucky fans storming the field and starting to tear down the goal post at one end while LSU scored the winning points at the other end zone. 3. The 2015 Alabama - Wisconsin game, where safety Michael Caputo, who just got concussed, tried to line up in the Alabama backfield.
I was a prof at a school with a decent program. I always try to remind myself that these are very young men put on an impossibly big stage. Yes the provide good comedy, but I try never to hold it against them. It take a lot of guts just to step on that field.
I'm more of a Big 10/Big XII football fan, but hearing Verne Lundquist make a call for a SEC on CBS game takes me back to happy memories like my favorite '80's and '90's tunes.
I said the same thing. Not only was it just egregiously terrible by coaches and players, but the announcers were 100% clueless as 40 seconds ticked away
I think that might’ve been the worst one😂 not only did mid tenn run out of time at the end by calling a audible before the snap, when they ran that last play and the receiver caught it he didn’t go out of bounds😂😂
I’m a Bama fan but a lot of people don’t realize that the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage and ended up being caught by the wrong receiver in that Alabama - Georgia game. Either way it was a bad play call.
The first one was the recievers fault. It was a sideline route and the ball was tipped. He should have just let the ball hit the ground if he knew he wasn't going to get out of bounds
Gotta make a new one of these that includes the Montana State vs Weber State game this year. Weber's longsnapper sent the ball way over the head of the punter 4, I repeat FOUR TIMES. They set a new FCS record for safeties in a game because all 4 went through the back of the endzone.

Also, where is my original post? I can't remember exactly what I wrote. But here is what I think. I'm glad TN is getting their time in the dog house. They deserve it more than any other school I can think of. I'm even happier that it has lasted so long. Joy joy joy!
@@stanleymyrick4068 I'm glad you told that Joe Biden loving gun banning clown off.
0:25 is the moment Chazz Surratt became a linebacker. I was in the press box in Kenan that day. He also made a game-saving INT against Duke 2 seasons later.
For what it’s worth that pass wasn’t even that bad. He at least gave his receiver a chance at it.
"That's a true freshman"
I don't understand what announcers mean when they keep saying true freshman.....what's the difference compared to a freshman?
6:06 The Jameis classic was so confounding that the ref fell out.
4:19 "Cam Newton set for a long run with Patriots" Well that didn't age well.

7:12 lol BYU. His teammates turned around and pretended they didn’t even know him.
I don’t understand what happened, it looks like he tried to throw it away and it got batted down, and a flag for intentional grounding comes out, but when they pick up the batted incomplete pass in the end zone they pick up the flag and call a touchdown?
As an Oregon fan I love the Jameis Winston “highlight”.
Can’t be a WTF video without a gem from Jameis Winston
Dude, the ref was shocked even he tripped during the play! hahaha
As a packers fan I don’t
@@liljewzivert1462 I’m also a packer fan 😩
@@FihnIsTech lmao I’ll gladly take a game 1 loss instead of a round one playoff loss

6:05 You know it's a terrible play when you confuse the ref so much that he falls over from trying to track the position of the ball LMAO
Arkansas was only here once? Given the last decade of...failures, I'll consider that a win. I just hope watching part 1 doesn't make me eat my words.
I think you'll be disappointed
You’re a jerk and a clown 🤡 but you’re right 👍🌚
@@bigboicheese7365 how is he either?
This one was pretty embarrassing. Our guys ran into each other. It makes me laugh out loud.
At least we're legit now
5:10 that play was obviously blown up and they are still passing the ball around 🤣
The Tennessee WR thinking he has a simple jogging TD and gets blown the fuck up is hilarious. And the FSU play where the guy switches ball hands for NO REASON other than to look cool celebrating then fumbles outta bounds is great.
That Arkansas collision was a part of an entire 2 years that felt like a "What are you doing?" moment.
That arizona state Wisconsin game is crazy lmaooo how does the ref not call delay of game and the back judge gave the qb the ok that he was down but still let that go on
Fr refs need to be held accountable for blunders like that
It makes you wonder if they were fixing the game?
Fuck it, let's publicly torture them 🙄🙄🙄
@@clintonfreed412 Nah, they were just kerfluffeled at what happened & weren't sure what to do next. ASU recovered the fumble so actually they should've gotten the ball but it was no matter. Dumb play by the QB regardless.
@@JoeVideoed That wasn't a fumble lmfao. The QB clearly puts his knee on the ground then places the ball for the ref. Even the head ref marked him down.
3:02 was so cool, the player wasnt sure if he scored, but the ref is nodding his head at him as he walks to make the gesture... then they freak out... awesome
And then to make matters worse, the SMU player just gets trucked.
Did the ball hit a SMU player I didn’t see it lol
I don't understand how this was a TD; SMU never touched the ball. Could someone fill me in here?
@@whozk You and Rodney are right, SMU didn't touch the ball, therefore no TD, therefore bad call ref.
I searched every comment till I seen this my jaw is still on the floor. he literally never touched the ball.
This video was hard as hell to watch tbh. Like, the amount of ''WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!'' is insane lol
2:10: That went well, right? Exactly how the coach drew it up.
😂😂😂😂
9:46 I cannot imagine having to stand face to face with that coach.
Butch Jones. 😂😂
And judging by just that play one would think Georgia won that game. NOPE!! They made some colossal buffoonery at the end of the game and choked. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
I'd hate to be a lot of those players and have to try to explain those plays to the coach (not to mention the fans!) afterwards!
Lmao. Every 37 seconds I’m literally saying, “What are you doing???”
6:06 the ref made fun of the quarterback by copying his throw 😂
I was at that TN-GA game where Jalen Hurd show boated in the end zone. As a lifelong TN Vols fan, I'm so happy they are back on top like they were in the 90s and early 2000s.
6:44 to make matters worse he fumbled on the goal line the next play
Kentucky had a bruh moment not once but twice vs UF 🤣
Went to high school with the kicker at 9:55, one of the best moments I ever saw
I'm sorry, the magic happening at 5:15 is like a football comedy dreamed up by the people who made Airplane.

10:45 That one is heart breaking. Not even their fault. The officials screwed them on this one.
That Arizona State player knew what he was doing by staying on the ball that long. You can see when he gets set on defense that he knew. Heads up football there.
Terrible officiating but still a bad play by Stave. Don't set the ball down like that and create ANY confusion or ambiguity.
@@macreefs lol what he was doing was a penalty if the play is called right. It’s delay of game
@@pronkb000 He was trying to get the ball spotted quicker.
Why is no one talking about 6:51 i'm DYING rn 😂😂😂
“That One...Doesn’t Feel Good And It’s Embarrassing”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Some of these are just unfortunate fails such as the Winston and Cook plays
In the Wisconsin Arisona State game (near the 11:00 mark) the officials should put about 5 seconds back on the clock and wind it
I've seen this play out in multiple games where the defense gets to delay the snap on a running clock and the officials rarely acknowledge it, add time back, or throw a flag.
Yes. The refs were the "What are you doing" here
Yeah that one pisses me off the most. Ridiculous.
The Mississippi State vs Louisiana Tech fumble was the craziest thing I've seen in years at the time.
If you ever do another round, I have three suggestions:
The miracle is that SMU ended up winning that game in OT, despite the special teams f-up.
1:04 that cheerleader is so pissed lmao
Lmao Winston and the ref fell stumbling backwards the only thing is that refs like 50 winstons like 19😂
2:43 Trevor Knight was the QB of our rival HS team back in the day, glad to see he did well in college 😂😂
Man he must have killed y'all 😂
I was a prof at a school with a decent program.
The ref falling on his back was the funniest thing out of all of this 😂
How are the two announcers not incredulous during that last 40 seconds of Mid Tenn St and Army?
I said the same thing. Not only was it just egregiously terrible by coaches and players, but the announcers were 100% clueless as 40 seconds ticked away
I think that might’ve been the worst one😂 not only did mid tenn run out of time at the end by calling a audible before the snap, when they ran that last play and the receiver caught it he didn’t go out of bounds😂😂
Middle Tennessee had all those time outs smh 🤣
I’m a Bama fan but a lot of people don’t realize that the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage and ended up being caught by the wrong receiver in that Alabama - Georgia game. Either way it was a bad play call.
I think most realize it was a tipped ball and the receivers should not have caught it.
You can go ahead and add Miami vs GT from last night on here
LOL... the florida-Oregon play was so chaotic even the ref fell down...classic.
Nothing will ever surpass the Miami-GT game the other night NOTHING!!! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
The first one was the recievers fault. It was a sideline route and the ball was tipped. He should have just let the ball hit the ground if he knew he wasn't going to get out of bounds
Go Green!
To be fair on that last one that wasn’t that bad. Hindsight is always 2020, he didn’t was an interception.
Gotta make a new one of these that includes the Montana State vs Weber State game this year. Weber's longsnapper sent the ball way over the head of the punter 4, I repeat FOUR TIMES. They set a new FCS record for safeties in a game because all 4 went through the back of the endzone.
3:44. That has to be the worst clock management I’ve seen at any level of football.
This one honestly might be the worst because it's the only one where impulse was not involved, they just let that happen.
That Kentucky one vs Florida was just plain hilarious im sorry if u let the same play fool u twice u deserve the L😬😂
Love the first clip!
I still believe to this day, that was the real National Championship game.
Oh yea without a doubt. No way Notre Dame is beating that Georgia team.
I still wonder what happened on this play. Bad shoes? Landed wrong? Wasn't thinking?
@@pschighlights only team that destroyed Georgia was Spurrier's Gamecocks. S. Carolina was unbelievable that year, they just got screwed over with that schedule.

With all the examples of players showboating and dropping the ball before getting into the end zone, it's almost refreshing to see someone just unintentionally drop it.
