They’ve been had that since last year but Kyle likes to run CMC till he gets banged up or even injured nothing new. They had a 3 headed RB in CMC/Mitchell/Mason but Mitchell couldn’t stay healthy so Mason was the back up but hardly got any reps
Thunder and lightning would be Tiki Barber and Ron Dayne.

It’s pretty easy to be great when the average yards before contact is astronomically better than any other team. You can take any back and stick them behind a great offensive line and they’ll put up amazing stats (looking at you zeke). CMC is just a game changer because of what he offers in addition to the run. I don’t think we’ve seen anyone since prime Henry or AP have terrific seasons on the ground despite a bad line. That’s the reason why backs are seen as disposable and not as valuable after all. You can take an average back and make him look like Walter Payton with a good line, whereas even great backs rarely have fantastic seasons behind bad lines.

The 2023 preseason shook fans who were used to Gould, but his worst game was the Browns game where the Browns kicker also missed a field goal. Is he the BEST kicker in the NFL? No. Is he a good kicker? Yes. I’m happy that it’s going well, and I think in a few years fans will treat him as a staple player for the franchise.

That throw to Aiyuk to the endzone was beautiful. It was an spot where only he could've caught it, no chance for the defender to make a play on the ball. It wasn't the easiest of catches, a diving one, but Aiyuk got paid to make those plays. Granted dude is rusty after his summer circus but he needs to knock off that rust quickly.
This is a huge reason why I feel Brock doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He’s actually making his all pro receivers look bad for not finishing plays. He’s the real deal.

Unfortunately people will roast Purdy for an unimpressive stat line, but this shows how great a job he did of pushing the ball down the field. Really had some great throws and great decision making. The Jets defense is also no slouch…
Purdy did good he read the defense and from playing them last season, there defense is weak running up the middle, so that’s what they did ran it up the middle and he had great throws, for a opening he throw for 231yds, that’s great stats for a run game
He had that incredible TD throw to Aiyuk that was dropped too. A couple bad throws but it's the first game. Guy was good
People still doubt Purdy even though he has more football IQ than most veteran QBs at this point. Dude has great anticipation, footwork, and makes great decisions

It's true, tho. With Rodgers out last year, they went over 13 quarters or 3 games without an offensive TD, and like 7 weeks without a TD drive longer than 1 play, and all 3 were Breece Hall runs/catches. It's one game. It was an uninspired performance, but the talent is there.

Nice to see that at least the Jets look solid for the most part...just ran into the defending NFC champs who were at home. Aaron looks good, Breece Hall ran well-enough, and the defense is still improving
Overall a solid game. Purdy played well. The defense had a solid outing, although the defense against third and long was a concern for me tonight. 32 points against a good defense without McCaffery is impressive, and hopefully it can help Shanahan realize that he doesn't need to rely on McCaffery as much as he did last season. Mason was given his workload tonight and had a very strong game. Moody looked fantastic. Hopefully we can build on this and also no one gets hurt in the Minnesota turf field next week.

The guy has by far the best td/int ratio all time for a reason. Just for laughs, arod has a 4.5 td/int ratio all time. Second is Mahomes… at 3.44.. third is Wilson at 3.14. If you're a Jets fan please just relax....Obviously the defense did not play like they should have; give it time they were still a top 5 defense last year and they went against the SuperBowl runner ups. The offense still looked promising sure there were many mistakes like the interception fumble and couple dropped balls but overall there were some very solid drives that give a lot of hope for future games.
