It gave me chills when lutzenkirchen caught that touchdown because he went to my high school. He died in a car crash years ago. I heard he was the nicest person and did amazing things for people. We named our stadium after him.
Lutzie was a class act. I was with a group of disabled kids from Camp ASCCA at a Spring, get to know the players event in Auburn. I was carrying a 8 year old boy with Downs Syndrome. I was having a problem getting a player to acknowledge my boy. Lutzie saw the situation, walked over and spent a full 5 minutes with us. He signed the t-shirt he was wearing...made the boy's day is an understatement. Sad thing is they both died about 30 days apart. I miss both of 'em.

With 34 freshmen Boise State went into Eugene and led a #8 Oregon 31-13 in the 4th quarter - destroyed them in their house. And that’s just Defense. On top of which Oregon, has to shutdown Boise States offense (which had 120 total yards less than Oregon the entire year), ranked just behind Oregon for #2 in the country. You’re having to stop 3 NFL WRs, 1 NFL RB, 1 NFL TE, and get through 6 NFL OLine men who in 2010 allowed a grand total of 3 sacks. Oh and then there’s also Kellen Moore, who while didn’t win the heisman had better comp %, more passing yards (1,000 more), more passing TDs (9 more), less interceptions (4 less), and better QB efficiency then Cam Newton and still ranks in the Top 5 All Time in each of these categories for college QBs. So good luck with that, Oregon’s never beaten Boise State and none of their games have really been close.
