Lewin, thanks so much for using my song for this series. Ive learned a lot here, you added so much tone and clarity i felt was missing but didnt know how to get. I was laughing at your reactions to my eq settings.
Consider me both honoured and humbled! Love the channel!
Also thanks to people in the comments for the compliments, even though im cringing at my vocal performances here haha.
This video has made my day. Cheers.

This is exactly why I subscribe to Garageband and Beyond !! Don’t worry about how long the video is, I got so involved with what you were saying and doing that the video seemed like it was 5 minutes long. You touched every aspect of engineering the piece. I learned more in 45 minutes than I did in 3 months of hunting on RUclips. The tune is great too, I end up walking around singing the hook. I really look forward to more Clean My Mix episodes.

There is nothing wrong with a video like this being a hour long that’s perfect timing actually! I say anything over 1.5 hours is a little long winded but around a hour should be expected as long as it’s full of good useful info. This is a great song and I love watching other people mix to see what they would do in a song mix.

This is a great video!! Don’t stress about how long it is, I watched it all. It was really great to see you working backwards then forwards again with this track. It’s a great song as well so that helps! I learnt loads from this - especially about being subtle with eq and not going crazy! And using presets as the start point! The vocal work was particularly good to watch. Thanks Lewin!!

Really nice and useful video. I think you really show that often times less is more in terms of the sheer number of plugins needed on a track. Well done.

Ive now started dopignthe whole shabang for myself like you but not lolololol so your great vids give me hope and the push to believe i can do it as its hard but i putting in a lot of work and time to make sure i can get great sound sonically and understand what I’m actually doing when I’m doing it. Knowing why to or not to do something in production mixing and mastering but you vids or life you make it simpler even though its not ,especially when you don’t have the deep understanding of what each component does when doing the same. Blessings to you man

Really useful insight into how it’s done - far more involved and detailed than I’d imagined, but the end result is amazing. I need to watch more and more of this stuff to learn this art as it clearly makes a massive difference. Big complement to the original artist for this track, which is really amazing too. Great job!

Your mix has a more "flat" sound where you can hear each instrument more clearly. His mix sounded like it was recorded in a subway.
