DD I always have to watch your range tests. Absolutely landing across from those tall trees by the pipes on the opposite side smart way to bail. Having 30 satellites should have helped with GPS accuracy

Ive done the same thing with three different drones in the past fours years. it is nerve racking. Find my drone is a good feature.

Dustin you have nerves of steal. I wouldn’t have the balls to push it that far. I did learn to push up and forward from you. I once was over water with my original mavic pro and it wanted to land on water. Using your technique I was able to come home to shore and land safely.

Last year i did my first flight of the year from my balcony. I got about 1.5 miles away and the battery started dying really fast. I tried to rth but it was hardly moving i think due to sun glare on the sensor. I had to land about a mile from home on a grass bank and managed to recover it by getting the last known gps coordinates from the app and plugging then into Google maps. So many close calls but still rocking the original dji mavic. Done some cool stuff with this drone. Gta rating 3 stars.
Reading that gave me anxiety and made my heart beat weird for a moment, ha-ha!
@@ANSWERTHECALLOFJESUSCHRIST haha my heart was racing to. I actually couldn't find it on the first outing. I went to where i thought it landed and it was gone. I went home almost defeated but decided to try again that's when i looked at the app to get the exact coordinates. Took me just around the corner from where i was looking and there it was. I was sure some kids had picked it up. Seeing the 🔋 drop like that was horrible. Top mission was not to hurt anyone or damage property. The other thing is when doing the energy landing you lose connection so lost the feed. I had no idea of it landed safely or not.

Dude! Braver man than I. Obviously your experience gives you that courage to push it to the limit. Great example of “Find my drone” too.
One thing to note on your Motion Controller test coming up, you cannot move the gimbal while in flight only when on the ground. That’s kind of a bummer but the MC is still fun.

I really wonder why dji haven't reached out to you! You do the most in depth reviews of all their products and have more viewers than most that they sponsor. They should definitely sponsor you, your vids would have sold heaps of drones for them.
Maybe some day. I probably just need the right contact for them but I've heard they are quite strict and control content for demo's they provide 🍻

Holy shit. So glad it all worked out , I lost my 1st DJI TBS Team Black Sheep Drone many years ago flying a Naza V2 Flight controller system. RTH didn't work gone for ever including a brand new GoPro hero 3 silver. 4 days old on both Drone and camera. $1,500. Gone. I get real nervous when I see this shit. Lol.

Thank you for trying it out great video! and because you wrote in the video that dji should allow to record the overlay in the goggles, you can create overlays for the video based on the logged flight data with betaflight osd:)

When the LiPo battery is so low, it is advisable to charge it immediately after it has cooled down to normal temperature. A depleted state will damage the battery.

Because I no longer get emails when you upload a video, I completely missed all your DJI FPV videos. Just happened to see this one in my "home" listing of videos, so I HAD to check it out. Now I want to see the rest of the vids you did on this guy. I think if you ever do a "no drama" Range Test video, I'd faint dead away ... sheesh. Don't think I saw you ditch the Mini 2 either, so will look for that. Since the new Au-Hell Nanos are such a bust, I think I'll be looking real close at the Mini 3 which will likely be out in April (just in time for a birthday present to myself .. ha ha). Glad you got it back. I was going to ask if you had to change your drawers when you got home, but, because this kind of thing has become common place to you .. probably no sweat .. ha ha. Mahalo !
Can't wait to see the high-speed test. BTW I believe you could have made it back if you kept going. I agree that DJI needs to allow the HUD info to be embedded in the video. Could you connect the goggles to the iPad and record the screen?
May have 👍. Yes you can plug 2nd device in goggles for a 2nd viewer but still no OSD is displayed 🍻
