Older FPV pilots are beginning to sound like iphone users when it comes to Androids phones. Even though Android has produced way better and very interesting phones over the years, Iphone users are so sold on the brand, that they still go out and purchase the newest same old repackaged and sold again and again Iphone with very little to no changes, that in design, all resembles every older Android phone, from the mid 20 teens!!!! Iphones got its tech from Android because it couldn't produce nothing like the first Galaxy S 15 years ago. In short if you enjoy building your drone thats fine, but understand this drone wasn't designed to compete with that skill, but only to be a beginners turn key solutions it the world of FPV, and hands down it has better features than all FPV drones before it. This lands on a dime. I have to rough crash land all my older FPV's that I built
That’s not an apt comparison, I would say a better comparison is the exact opposite. Apple is like the DJI products and android is like the traditional FPV drones. You have more freedom on android, but you also have more of an ability to mess things up, versus Apple makes products that integrate with each other very well and are easy to use but with some limitations (like DJI) I agree with what you’re saying but your analogy should have been inverted
Dont use the Start/Stop Button it sucks for Disarming like you seen. It might be easier for Arming but thats it. For the real Emergency Control Stick Prop Cut-off like the Camera Drones is to use the RC Control Sticks instead. First make sure Emergency Propeller Stop is Enabled in Safety Menu in the Goggles, and then you just hold the sticks in their inside bottom corners for 2 secs.. So you would hold the Left Stick in the bottom Right and hold the Right Stick in the Bottom Left, together for 2 seconds and it emergency stops no matter what. This also works to Re-arm the Drone. So i dont use that M-Mode Start/Stop Button ever. That also works in all Flight Modes, so same thing when in N or S modes. The guy flying doesnt seem to get it either lol.
@@GenericUserName-f6u There is no C2 Button on the DJI FPV RC2, and thats the only way to fly this Drone in M mode.. The DJI RC, N1, etc controllers have a C2 button on the back, but you cant fly the DJI FPV drone or Avata with that Remote.. I'm sure it works for what you said, but doesnt really help in this situation. The original FPV RC1 has two toggle switch's you can use for things like that, but at that point you would better off just using a proper aftermarket controller to go together with the DJI Air Unit & custom CF FPV drone's.. That way you can have a bunch of switches, plus a proper Arm Switch on the top left or right corner of the controller based on personal preferences.
Please, more tests like this for other drones! At least for famous ones - Nazgul 5, Roma F5, some cinewhoops like Cinelog serie. And ofcourse DJI Avata!
It’s good for a newbie FPV pilot like me to see this. I just bought one of these because the price was right, due to it being discontinued ( I think ). Before I bought the drone, I read other reviews about how it wasn’t going to survive crashes. Well, you obviously proved that wrong ! It’s good to see that just “common” crashes like the first few you did, aren’t going to wreck the drone. It’s gonna take quite some time before I can go crazy acro with it. Thanks for posting.

As most would agree. Either get the avata, or buy the goggles 3 and the o3 camera system and a soldering iron and make your own fpv drone. Seriously you will get a faster and higher preforming drone than this. It may be intimidating but worth every second
The lack of a kill switch for the propellers is a massive fail. Until the tree most damages was after cliiping a tree and runnung upside down on gravel
Dude does this thing not have a disarm switch? How dumb is that? People amazed about it surviving grass crashes blows me away. You can smash a normal 5 into a brick wall during a dive and it's completely fine other than the props. I seriously don't get this drone and I feel bad for people thinking it's durable.
Me when my DJI drone crashes: heart stops, blood pressure rises sky high, cold sweat all over my body, dizziness, thoughts of committing suicide running through my mind… This guy when his DJI crashes: ha ha, I did not fit through the gap…ha ha…so let’s see what kind of damage…

The DJI fpv drone has a glitch in the controller from the factory after you fly it a few times it loses radio contact and will fly away crash it can be reloaded to software and you should definitely have someone diagnose a controller before you fly it to find out
This drone was on my radar and really wanted it....I am a little reckless so after a few videos with minor crashing and broken parts I opted TO AVOID THIS DRONE
It this thing doesn’t explode on the first non perfect landing I’m gonna flip as I’ve destroyed 4 of these last year alone totalling like $600 in repairs. I’ve stopped flying this crap this year and finally switched HD zero. Now I’ve started to realize actually how awful DJI is.
Dji photography drones such as the air 3’s and minis are great but yeah they still cant figure fpv (well they can for the newer pilots but just not for the fpv community). I only use dji drones such as the air 3 for camera shots, i plan to get into fpv (to hell will i get the avata 2 (i heard its mid but i want to make my own but i will use the O3 camera system purely because i already have dji goggles and the fpv controller.

It was a waste of time for yoy because it didnt implode in the first breeze hitting it. Sorry it didnt meet popular belief. The drone isnt shit by entry level standards but it is shit past that due to the weight and camera i guess.

Nah it does have a disarm switch but in all of djis wisdom you need to double tap it to disarm its not single press and its super unreliable.
