I've had to shake so many drones out of trees and I can catch a ball OK but for some reason I'm drone-catch-challenged, soo unco. As it slams in to the ground missing my hands by 6 inches I just look and shake my head in disbelief. Your catch was masterful. Mark me jealous.
Great video Dustin, I just purchased the avata. My 3rd drone now. So glad I watched your videos before attempting my first flight. I think I’m ready to go now. Wish me luck and I’ll remember to watch the drone and not the satellite receiver. Thank you for time on teaching us with our adult toys.
Day one... Crashed the Avata into some twigs at full speed (normal mode), it smacked on the ground, battery flying ... I put it back togheter and just flew off as if nothing happened. It's a pretty though one
Always a good weekend when I get a notification for a new Mr. Dunnill video! Great review so far!. Watched the first half, and will catch the second half later on!
That was the MOST enjoyable 29 minutes of my day! I LOVE my Avata and the motion controller allows you to really fly intuitively. thanks for the beautiful views!
Great test flight with the new Avata FPV drone. I'm glad it survived the crash. And congrats on your new home in the Southwest, it's beautiful. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Thanks for sharing Dustin.
I wanted to get into FPV flying but the short flight times and the long learning curve didn't appeal to me. And then along came the Avata. For anyone in a hurry to experience FPV, this looks like the way to go. Mine doesn't ship until the 30th of this month. Your video and experience gave me a lot more confidence. I've flown R/C for many years, fixed wing and a few drones, but this looks totally awesome! Thanks again Dustin, happy flying!
The motion controller really takes care of any problems where beginners might be hesitant about getting into it. It just makes it so incredibly easy to fly 🍻
Gray video Dustin, I think this little guy is a great contender for my next drone! Couldn't help admire this beautiful place and the surroundings, where is this at? Cheers! 👍🏻🍺
Thanks for the video Dustin, and very looking forward to your famous range and battery life test. I would probably just get the drone and use my V2 goggles and radio from my FPV drone
Awesome video brother, that avata looks really fun. I'm wanting to get into fpv. Really nice scenery around that area, looks like an amazing place to fly. We'll stay safe brother, I can't wait till the next vid
Have watched a number of reviews on this drone...in a couple of them the pilot all of a sudden loses control and crashes after a left turn in each video..in one instance the pilot was near the water/lava line and was unrecoverable...would suggest keeping it in an area where recoverable at least until recognized by DJI that this may be a problem and not pilot error and can be fixed....also has been found that the home point changes unexpectedly on its own...congrats on your new place!
@@DustinDunnill yeah you’re right about that. I just hate packing everything up to drive to the park to fly my drone for 5 or 10 minutes. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have not yet decided whether to buy this drone, and I am little confused why every other youtuber who reviewed the Avata did so with the FPV controller. You are the only one who tried it and used it and flew it as it comes out of the box with the motion controller. Yes, I know it is limiting, but it is how it is sold and from what I have seen, the FPV control is scarce at the moment. Great review, this puts me closer to getting one soon.
Hey Dustin, along with my camera drones, I fly fpv also. Not sure if I would like the motion controller . I do like that it shows you the homepoint. Nice looking house , and the landscape looks awesome..
Congratulations on the new baby and the new house. I’m sure you are going to do a flight in manual mode (acro) with the controller. It is supposed to go much faster and more agile in manual. 🤙
love watching your videos . please tell me that is not red dye in your hummer feeder? if so just use sugar and water ..the food coloring hurts the birds..if its red glass please disregard
Nice place you have Dustin. Looks like you will have to adjust to some winter like weather if your there from November on. Thanks for the review, I have had mine a week (both controllers) and I'm really liking this drone. I didn't have the cajones to try flying into a tree, lol, but it is a durable drone as we have seen from other reviews. All the best, and enjoy the new digs..Cheers from SE Utah.
