  • A video tutorial on how to remove the rear deck or shelf on a 2001 - 2005 Honda Civic. The rear deck will need to be removed in order to install replacement speakers. The shelf will also need to be removed to access the top of the rear seat belt attachment points.

    Thank you for such a thorough walk through! Also appreciate the good camera work! A lot of times I can't watch these kind of videos because the camera bounces around too much or else doesn't really show the area they're working in clearly. I just wish they could make this stuff a little more easily accessible, also a good idea to have some spare clips and body fasteners available as most of the time they break after removing one time!

      @@PYR-Auto it definitely was! My tweeters are the only working speakers. Car has over 200K on it and it's factory speakers and they are all dry rotted

    If your just replacing speakers u don’t have to take off this deck, the speaker grills pop off from the top, on a 2006-11, check years before n after first. But great video as I want to paint the deck, thank You

      No pop ups in my 2008, had to take the whole deck out.

    What size speakers fit in there? 5.25 was too small and 6×9 was too big, id measure but i keep losing the measuring tape

    How to fully take out the deck? Like remove the seat belts

      I didn't actually go that far but I think there were just some bolts holding the top portion of the seatbelt on.

      Why even take it all the way out though... I just twist and push into the trunk
