    Possibly the best how to video I've ever seen. Each step, no 7 minute intro, no goofy music 👍🏻 thank you!

    Thank you so much, was wondering how to remove the rear deck. I'm working on removing some tint on the back window and it's difficult to get in the very back without removing the deck. Thanks!

    Also on the hybrid the wire harness connector is not accessed from the inside of the trunk but from the top when the deck is disengaged. There are a couple of connectors (look like xmas trees upside down) that have to be disengaged. I just stuck a screw driver next to them and gently pried up. After disengaging and disconnecting the wire harness the deck lifted off as in your video. These were the only relatively minor differences. I was then able to remove the mouse eaten seatbelt and replace.

    Good video, but for drop in replacement of the 6.5" speakers, you can save a ton of time and effort by simply popping off the plastic speaker grill covers. Takes less than 30 seconds each. There are two plastic lips toward the center. Just pry them up from the outside edges.
    If you wanted to convert to 6"x9"'s, your video covers the whole deal.

      So you're talking about the middle speaker in the rear? You can just pop that cover off from up top?

    Thanks for taking the time to make this video, very informative to me. I plan on replacing the speakers on my 2014 Civic shortly. I don't think I could do it one handed though :). Again, Thanks for showing.
    Request - Would it be possible to to make a video showing how to remove the front seats completely and properly so that the airbags do not need to be reset afterwards? Also, show how to remove the back rests on the back seat? I need to wash all of these and the carpeting because of cigar and cigarette smells and I don't want to trigger the airbags. Especially for the front seats.
    Thanks
    Ian

      ALWAYS remove the negative terminal from the battery FIRST. That'll disable the entire electrical system and won't allow the airbags to deploy accidentally. As for the "backrests on the back seat" do you mean the head restraints? (This video shows you how to remove the rear seat back already.) If you want to remove the head restraints, lift them up to their fully-extended height and then depress the push button on the plastic housing that the restraint fits into - they'll lift up completely out of both of the holes.

    Nice job. I was just reading about this in the service manual because one side of the trunk lid on my 2010 Civic is sitting higher than the other side, and the screws to adjust the alignment are under there. But I don't think I'm going to bother :)

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  6 лет назад +1

      I would just leave it alone. New Hondas from factory are leaving with so many imperfections, it's not even funny.

    • @GabesHacks
      @GabesHacks 6 лет назад +1

      I had to do something because the trunk suddenly wouldn't close. The latch wasn't aligning with the striker anymore. But I was able to fix it by aligning the striker. I can't remember if one side being higher than the other is new (because of what I changed) or not, but I'm leaving it. I confirmed it is making contact with the weatherstripping, and it's not leaking in the rain, so it's all good. :)

    Wait, no 8 minute introduction and showing the chickens in the yard? Add some LOUD music and I might follow it. I'm about to do this to replace a rear seatbelt. The car is a hybrid and the seats don't fold down but I don't think that matters.
